Welcome to Chapter Ten. Reader Discretion Advised. Anyone who can not handle intense cliff hangers should stop reading right now.

It was Saturday. Dipper and Pacifica were hanging out at the bar, still trying to repair their relationship. For a while, they talked about silly things, but eventually the conversation turned serious.

"I'm still worried about you, Dip. And I don't like the idea that there's someone out there trying to erase our memories." Pacifica said.

"Yeah, me neither. I tried talking to the police, but they didn't believe my story about the mind erasing. They said I probably just had amnesia." Dipper said.

"Darn police." Pacifica said.

"Hey, do you want to go take a stroll in the park? The bar is about to get crowded with drunkards." Dipper said.

"Sure." Pacifica said. They took each other's hands, and walked outside towards the local park. The sun was setting, and it illuminated the sky a beautiful orange.

"You know what, Dipper?" Pacifica said as the two were strolling down the pathway.

"Yeah?" Dipper asked.

"I'd just like to tell you that...this relationship really makes me happy. I know we have had some bumps around the way, but you're the only guy that has ever made me happy." Pacifica said.

Dipper smiled. "Thanks. I'm really happy, too. Apart from this relationship, all I can remember from my adult life is working, sleeping, and repeating."

Pacifica laughed. "Well, I just hope that our memories being stolen won't prevent us from having a normal relationship."

"Hey, the way I look at it, we just get to relive all of our magical moments twice." Dipper said, who leaned in and gave Pacifica a kiss.

Pacifica smiled. "When did you get to be so romantic? I asked Mabel how you were as a kid when I was trying to piece together my memories again, and she said you were really awkward and stuff."

"I don't know. Lots of movies, I guess." Dipper said.

The sun had now completely disappeared over the horizon, and the night started to become chilly.

Dipper and Pacifica continued to walk for a while in the moonlight, until Dipper suddenly felt a chill go through his body.

"Is something wrong? Your body just tensed." Pacifica said.

"I don't know. I just got that feeling that I'm being watched." Dipper said.

"That's creepy. I've heard that those actually mean something. They aren't just coincidence." Pacifica said.

Dipper scanned the surrounding area, but he didn't see anyone around except a woman pushing a stroller.

"Maybe it was her." Pacifica said.

"No. I felt threatened, almost." Dipper said.

Pacifica frowned. "You're starting to freak me out. Do you want to come to my place and relax with a movie or something?"

"Sure." Dipper said.

The two walked, at a fairly brisk pace, out of the park and toward's Pacifica's apartment. While her apartment was in a nice part of town, they had to pass through several blocks of less pleasant areas.

They hurried down the first few blocks, but quickly entered a dimly lit part of town.

"I'm scared, Dipper!" Pacifica said, moving in closer to Dipper.

"It's going to be okay." Dipper said, hugging Pacifica.

As the two were hugging, Dipper heard faint footsteps, but he didn't say anything so he wouldn't freak Pacifica out.

"Did you hear that?" Pacifica asked.

"Yeah, but it's probably just another pedestrian. Come on, let's go." Dipper said.

The two proceeded down the next block, and made it back to an area with streetlights, but there was no one to be seen. They reached a corner, and before they crossed the street, Dipper looked back. He noticed a shadow of a figure in the streetlight. The hairs on his body stood up, and he tried to move as quickly as he could across the street. He began to hear footsteps again, this time louder. As they increased in volume, Pacifica became extremely scared.

"It's going to be okay. It's probably just a jogger." Dipper said.

Suddenly, the footsteps stopped. Dipper looked up to see a person dressed in all black.

His heart skipped a beat. He stood in front of Pacifica, trying to protect her.

"Uh, hello sir." Dipper said.

"Dipper Pines." a deep voice said.

Dipper was beyond scared now.

"Uh, what do you want? My money?" Dipper said.

"No. Just you." the person said, pulling out a small handgun.

"What? What did I do? I mean you no harm!" Dipper yelled frantically, putting his arms up.

"Leave him alone!" Pacifica yelled.

"Stay back!" Dipper said.

"I'm sorry, but I have to do this." the man said.

"No you don't! Whatever it is, we can work it out!" Dipper said.

The man put his hands on the trigger.

"NO!" Pacifica yelled.

The man pulled the trigger, and the bullet entered the body of the woman jumping in front of the man she loved.

"PACIFICA! NO!" Dipper screamed.

Final story is up! It's called "The Rest of Our Lives"
