The next morning, Ani woke up early as usual and did her usual morning routines. She sat on her bed, trying to read, until she heard the other girls waking up, at which point she changed back into Melissa Andrews and made her way to the common room. She met up with her friends and went down to breakfast.

Breakfast was a tense affair to say the least. Most of them kept up falsely cheerful conversation, often leaving Harry out of it and obviously trying to put Melissa in to it. The whole thing made Ani more sure of what she was going to do. I mean, if what she was going to do would fix this then...Ron ignoring his food in favour of glaring at Harry certainly was big enough to be fixed. After breakfast, the others went to play some quidditch, leaving Harry out of the loop on purpose. The boy in question sighed and got up to leave the hall. Ani decided at that point that enough was enough. She understood the others madness but it wasn't fair on Harry who was losing his friends because of her secrets. She would fix this and she would fix it now. She would not let anyone else get hurt because of her.

"Come with me" She said, ignoring the suspicious looks she knew the others were giving Harry.

"What?" He asked her warily but she just shook her head and led the way. "Where are we going?" He asked but she just shook her head once again. Harry sighed and followed her.

Five minutes later, they arrived at Dumbledore's office. The stone faced (AT-"Get it. coz it's made of stone?") gargoyle stood as still as ever refusing to move without a password. Ani almost kicked herself as she realised she didn't know it. Was this confessing thing over just as soon as it had begun? "It's Skittles" Harry told her. She inwardly sighed in relief. She said her thanks and said the password. Upon walking in, she noticed Remus. (He had to go to Dumbledore daily to give reports on what happened around the school.) She nodded her head in his direction and he gave her a friendly wave, confusing Harry slightly.

She looked at the headmaster and squared her shoulders. "I'm ready"

"Are you sure?" Dumbledore asked. She nodded.

"Even for the questions?" Remus added. She hesitated for a second but nodded.

"even for the questions"

Harry gazed around confused. "What?" He said looking at Ani. She looked down.

"I came to Dumbledore yesterday and asked him if I could tell the guys the stuff about me, he said I could when I was ready. I… I am."

Harry looked into her eyes. "You heard us by the lake didn't you?" He said.

She nodded Harry made to hastily explain but she stopped him. "I was considering telling you guys anyway, I just wasn't sure, your argument just-"

"Tipped the bucket" Harry finished for her.

She nodded. "Yup, that about sums it up"

Dumbledore gave the girl a once over. "Drop the morph" he asked. She complied. "You look healthier" Remus said.

"Well your blood helped." She said. "Did you like the pen pot?" Remus nodded. "Yes, it is at the top of my trunk with all my important bits in. It really is one of a kind."

Dumbledore got up. "Well if you are sure you want to tell then please follow me."

Both teens did so. On the way to wherever they were going, Harry noticed his friend almost shaking with nerves.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked. She looked over at him and he noticed her eyes were their green. "I'm sure" She looked towards where Dumbledore was far ahead of them. "Come on, let's go." Harry nodded. He was still concerned but he knew this was Ani's thing. He wouldn't hinder her. He would help.

They soon approached a room that Harry recognised as the Room of Requirement. Dumbledore turned to Ani and said. "This is the room of requirement. You walk past it three times and it moulds into the room or place you were thinking of. Once inside you can think and will anything to appear/disappear in there. I think it's best you mould it into a room of your choice because it will be more comfortable.."

Ani nodded and soon she was pacing across the corridor. They walked into the room five minutes later to see a living room. To the right of them sat some shelves built into the wall and under it sat a table. Both had various prank items and potions. Opposite sat a red squashy sofa and a TV. In the back half of the room, On the left/back wall corner, was a table which was more like a flat bit sticking out of the wall. It was higher than usual tables. On the back wall, over the table, there was some more small shelves built into the wall and there was bowls of fruit and sandwiches and drinks in them. There was a window in the back wall through which you could see a kitchen. There was a small alcove in-between the sofa and 'table' (Which had no seats.) and there was a swirly pattern drawn into the floor. The rest of the floor at the back looked like red leaves and tropical grass/sand. Harry couldn't tell if it was real or not.

"Where are we?" Harry asked.

"The living room of my house." Ani answered. "It's where me and my dad live."

"Oh, who's your dad." Harry asked. But Ani didn't answer. Instead she turned to the headmaster. "Can I tell them now?" The headmaster nodded. "I'll go get them."

Whilst the headmaster was gone, Ani and Harry sat in tense silence. Harry opened his mouth to say something but could honestly not think of anything to say. So Ani said, "Come sit at the table."

Harry looked over at the table that still had no seats and Ani grinned. "Just watch" She said. She walked up to the back and she wasn't even too near the table. (The table didn't take up all of the back half.) She lowered herself as one would to sit down and Harry thought she would fall. But she didn't. Vines and leaves rose out from under the tropical floor and created a padded seat which placed itself under her.

"It's fun" She said to Harry. "That's why the table is quite high, because the seats can just rise higher to reach the table."

Harry shrugged and gave it a try and found it cool how the vines rose to meet him. They managed to make short conversation about how amazing the seats were, but all too soon the tense silence and descended on the once again. Soon enough, Dumbledore arrived with Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Fred and George in tow. They all waved at Ani (BTW she is back to being Melissa now) but ignored Harry. Remus also came in with them. "For support" He said, much to the others confusion.

Remus looked around the room as well as the others. He looked at Ani with a spark of confusion. He recognised this room. "It's where me and my dad lived." She said to him whilst the others explored. Remus' eyes widened. "Oh dear merlin." He said. He knew who her dad was.

"Right" Ani said as they all sat down. "How to start this" She started pacing "Um… no that sounds weird…no…"

"Why not show them." Remus said. " It worked on letting me figure it out." Ani nodded and took a deep breath. Slowly, from her head, she changed back into herself. He hair returned to it's unique raven black and auburn streaks. Her eyes turned emerald, sparkling green, her height went up and she turned into Ani. Well not full Ani. Only Madame Pomfrey had seen the true Ani. For now there were some things they didn't need to know. It was for their own good even if they didn't know it. Even if Ani didn't always like it.

There were many gasps from those present who didn't know and Ani couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. "Uh…My names not Melissa… it's Ani."

They just sat there with mouths agape. Finally Ginny snapped out of it.

"So you mean to say, you've been running around as a completely different person since September first and no-one knew?"
"Well…" Ani said. "Dumbledore, Harry, Madame Pomfray and Mr Lupin here" Remus smiled as they looked at him. "Know, but they agreed not to tell anyone."
"So that's why Harry was acting weird, he couldn't tell us." George said.

Ani bit her lip. "Yeah" She looked at Remus who nodded encouragingly at her. "That's not all" She said.

"There's more?" Ron said. He was soon slapped by Hermione for being insensitive. "Nah its ok." Ani said. "It's calming." She began to pace. "Um… well… here's how it goes…" Her steps became angry and she suddenly just burst out. "Ahh I'm a vampire."

Silence. That was all there was. Apart from those who knew, everyone was slack jawed and wide eyed. It was making Ani nervous. "So… gonna say anything." More silence. Ani was slightly scared. "Anything?" She asked. It seemed Hermione was ready to speak. Ani tensed, waiting for insults. But Hermione said something completely different.

"Oh Merlin! Is it really true? Is it true that you can turn into a bat, or that you have really good ears and bad eyes? Or that your saliva has healing powers? Or that you heal real quick? Or that you can drink blood without actually turning a person if you want to? Or that you can stop a ware wolf transforming on a full moon? Or that-"

"Calm down Hermione" Remus said smiling. She really looked like a child in a candy store. Ani, however, was looking slightly shell shocked at the attention. It took a minute after he had told Hermione to shush for his brain to catch up with what she had said. "Wait! Healing powers. FULL MOON?!"

His loud exclamation caused the others to snap out of their shocked states and Ani started answering their questions. She looked at Hermione and said "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes ,yes and yes." She counted on her fingers for a minute. "I think that was the right amount of yesses." She turned to Remus "And yes and yes."

It took a while but Ani managed to explain how she was a vampire and how her… spit, for lack of better word, healed cuts and the like. She explained how she could turn into a bat and how exactly she stopped a ware wolf on a full moon. She said it was like they had a separate blood stream, that belonged to the ware wolf. It went through the exact same place as the normal bloodstream and both flew through the body in harmony until the moon rose. She said that the Ware wolf's blood was a purple-y colour and the blood traveled on the inner 'circuit' of the blood stream until the moon came out. She said it was similar to when the moon pulled the tides and that when the moon was up, it pulled the 'tide' of the ware wolves blood so it spread throughout the body, thus creating the ware wolf. She also explained ho a vampire could tell the difference between the human and ware wolf blood and could drink out the ware wolf blood until there is not enough left and the person transforms back.

"But it's very hard" She said "You can't actually take all of it out so it rebuilds and the vampire will have to bite the ware wolf again on the nest full moon. That makes it harder. That and the fact that I really don't like biting people." She though for a moment. "I say that but I just never want to turn anyone. I would drink from a ware wolf if it helped them because they wouldn't change into a vampire." She took a deep breath. That had been a lot to say.

"Any more questions?" She asked, almost afraid of the answer.

"Yeah." Ron said. Ani made a little strangled noise at the though of another string of questions. But she nodded for him to ask.

"Can we play quidditch?" He asked.

"Ron!" Hermione scolded. "Is that all you think of!"

"No" He defended "I just thought Ani could show us how she plays because she kept saying she played different. It would help us get to know her"

"Not a bad idea" Remus said. "We can play in here." His face screwed up in slight concentration and suddenly they were standing in a quidditch pitch, their brooms in hand.

"So oh Great Ani" Fred said "Show us how it's done."

Ani grinned and left her broom just floating in mid air. She took some steps back and ran up to the broom and… jumped. She jumped and stood on her broom so she was surfing the air. She zoomed around the pitch a few times then came to a hover next to them.

"Woah" Was probably the understatement of the century but they had come to expect surprises in the last five minutes.

They didn't actually play a proper game of quidditch. Ani showed them various tricks and they attempted to stand on their brooms. Only Harry managed it because he had experience from his first match. Ani decided to give them a scare at one point and went upside down. They all yelled thinking she would fall but she grabbed onto the broom in-between her feet and seemed to have no problem. As they landed she laughed.

"I would have thought you have more faith in my skills."

"Well seen as you can do just about everything, I'm surprised at us too" Hermione commented. They sat in silence for a bit and Fred said "You know you look so different like this"

Ani looked herself over. Did he not like what she really looked like. For some reason that scared her. "Different?" She squeaked.

"Yeah" Fred said "But it's a good different."

Remus sat watching them with a small smile on his face. Indeed as Dumbledore said. How it was to be young and feel loves keen sting. And those two weren't the only ones. Another red head or too was too. Oh… what a sting.

Did ya like it? Did ya? Did ya? There were so many ways this could have gone down, but I wanted to end it on an up so… No going down in this chapter. Get it? Hehehe….Nothing? Tough crowd. I will try and come up with some not- so- rubbish jokes next time. In the mean time. REVIEW?
