Act 1: Planet Trade Organization Saga

Chapter 10: Mercy

xXxXxXx

Eyce watched the two Saiyans that stood before him. Sheamus looked like an escaped hospital patient, bandaged and bruised, clothes torn and tattered. Questions of how Sheamus was even still alive ran through his mind. The two exchanged hateful looks, then Eyce turned his head to the Super Saiyan. Bardock glowed standing in his golden aura. His hair lightly swaying with the wind his power caused. He didn't look angry, but Eyce knew he was. He looked calm, but deep inside, his hatred was like a hurricane ready to make landfall and destroy everything in it's path.

"You boys don't understand what you're getting into." Eyce said softly looking at the Saiyan duo. "Even together, you don't stand a chance against me."

"Are you saying that to comfort yourself?" Said Bardock with a smirk. Eyce glared at him. "You're just like your father, afraid that you will fall at the hands of a Super Saiyan. If I were you, I'd surrender now and go home."

Eyce grinded his teeth. He hated being compared to Frieza, it struck him deep and more often than not, the person that made the comparison ended up being carried away with the wind in the form of ashes. "You'll not make a fool of me, Saiyan!" Eyce powered up, bringing his aura up around him, and sped toward Bardock. He cocked his right arm and swung for Bardock's face. Bardock blocked it with a forearm and moved Eyce's arm to the side. With his other arm, he swung back at Eyce, which the tyrant ducked. He delivered an uppercut to Bardock's stomach, then kicked him in the jaw sending Bardock into the air.

Sheamus flew in and struck Eyce in the side of the head with his elbow. Eyce flew back a little, then gained control of himself by flipping back and landing on his feet, then flew back toward Sheamus. He swung wildly with a closed fist, aiming for Sheamus' face. Sheamus stepped back, avoiding the strike, then swung back at Eyce, which he blocked. With a yell, Eyce used some of his ki energy to create a wind blast, pushing Sheamus away. Eyce then chased after him with his right arm cocked. "I'll kill you Saiyans!" He yelled. Once caught up with the red haired Saiyan, he swung down at him, striking him in the gut and sending him crashing into the ground.

Eyce hovered parallel with the ground over Sheamus with his arms crossed. "You just don't seem to understand who you're dealing with." Eyce reached out and grabbed Sheamus' throat while still hovering. "I'm much stronger than my father ever was!" Sheamus started coughing, forcing the air he had left out of his body. "And as much as I hate him, I've inherited many of his feared techniques."

Eyce was suddenly struck in the side of the face, causing him to release his grip on Sheamus. He flew uncontrollably into a nearby cliffside, crashing hard and getting lodged into the rock wall. Bardock knelt down next to Sheamus and helped him up. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, just a little shaken..." Sheamus replied, shaking his head. He stood up, as did Bardock, and both looked toward the cliffside. In a flash, it was destroyed by a large, purple explosion with Eyce in the center. He was scraped and cut all over, with few cuts on his face. The explosion condensed into an aura around Eyce and he began walking toward the Saiyans.

"Damn, it doesn't seem like he's hurt at all!" Bardock exclaimed. Sweat droplets began sliding down his face. What if the power of a Super Saiyan isn't enough?... Sheamus quickly flew toward Eyce, leaving a dust cloud behind him. Bardock shielded himself with his arms. "Dammit Sheamus!" Bardock then took off after him.

Eyce and Sheamus met fist to fist, creating a loud bang. Sheamus swung at Eyce with his free hand, but Eyce caught his fist in his palm. Their fingers then locked together and the two struggled for dominance. Both of them brought their auras up, which created one big aura surrounding the warriors. "Why do you insist on trying to beat me? You're not even the one whose a Super Saiyan."

"I don't have to be a Super Saiyan to have the heart of a true warrior!" Sheamus said back.

Eyce began overpowering Sheamus. He bent Sheamus' hands back, gaining leverage. Sheamus' knees started to buckle, the pressure being put on his body was intense. He glanced behind himself and saw Bardock approaching fast. Quickly, Sheamus slid down between Eyce's legs, throwing him toward Bardock. Bardock grinned as Eyce approached him, then he struck Eyce in the face. Eyce flew back toward Sheamus but struck the ground well before reaching him.

"You Saiyan rats!" Eyce stood up and looked forward at Bardock, and then behind him at Sheamus. A scowl grew across his face. Damn it. I will not let these monkeys humiliate me! Eyce growled, then glanced above Bardock and saw a spaceship ascending. Right, that traitor Gummo is trying to escape. But I'll make sure he won't get away! Eyce opened his palms and generated two purple ki orbs with black bolts surrounding them. Then he tilted his head up and fired them toward the ship.

Bardock watched them fly over his head, frustration grew within him. "Dammit Eyce!" Bardock went to chase the blasts but Eyce quickly knocked him down with a knee to the back.

"You'll not be saving your friend today!" Eyce said with an evil laugh. Sheamus sped by them, chasing after the ki blasts himself. Eyce looked up and scowled heavily. "Oh no you don't!" Eyce cocked an arm and generated another blast, but Bardock got up and slammed his fist into Eyce's face before he could fire it.

Eyce stumbled back, then Bardock hopped up and started throwing punches while Eyce blocked and dodged them. "I'll make sure that no one else will die because of you!"

"That's what you think, monkey!"

The Other World

As Bubbles and Gregory chased each other around the small planet, King Kai continued to watch the battle on Transeki. Every passing second worried King Kai more that the Saiyans, Bardock and Sheamus, would fail.

"This is crazy." King Kai said to himself, "They're fairing better than I thought they would." His focus was interrupted by Gregory and Bubbles shenanigans. King Kai turned his head and yelled. "Hey!"

Bubbles stopped running from Gregory, causing the cricket-like creature to slam into Bubbles' back head first. Gregory caressed and shook his head. "What is it King Kai?"

"You two need to quiet down, I'm trying to focus on this fight!" King Kai exclaimed. Bubbles and Gregory looked at each other, then back at King Kai, whose hands were trembling behind his back. Eyce is studying their fighting styles. If they don't hurry, Eyce will be able to fight them both with a blindfold on.

Planet Transeki

Sheamus chased after Eyce's ki blasts. They were closing in on their hijacked PTO space ship, which Gummo was aboard. If those blasts hit the ship, Gummo is done for, and we won't be able to go to Earth.

Sheamus pulled his arms back and opened his hands, generating golden ki orbs as he ascended. He targeted Eyce's attacks and fired his two ki blasts at them. Sheamus' blasts were only slightly faster than Eyce's, worrying the Saiyan. Come on, catch up! Don't let them hit the ship!

As Eyce's blasts closed in on the ship, Sheamus' blasts gained just enough speed to catch up, and struck them which caused a couple of small explosions. It was too close to the ship for Sheamus' comfort. Any closer, and the explosions would have damaged the ship. Luckily, the ship was just out of blast radius.

Inside, Gummo was having a panic attack. He watched as Eyce's energy blasts approached the ship. Upon the blast collision, he lost his balance and fell backwards, landing hard on the floor. He held his hands over his ears and had his eyes closed tightly. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and looked at the monitor. He realized he wasn't dead, and that he and the ship were ascending through the Transekian atmosphere.

With a sigh, Gummo stood up, and much to his dismay, quickly realized that he had wet himself from being in such fear for his life. "Well, it could be worse. I could be dead."

Sheamus hovered, watching the ship shrink from his sight as it flew off into space. A sigh of relief escaped him, then he turned around and looked down at the planet's surface. Bardock and Eyce looked like two ants from where he was. Two ants trying to kill one another. "This thing is getting way too far out of hand." He said to himself. "Takomi is dead, his son is dead, many of the villagers are dead." He closed his eyes and shook his head. "Even with Bardock's new power, he and I combined STILL aren't enough to beat Eyce. I have to keep Bardock alive. Otherwise, this whole thing is going to be a failure."

xXxXxXx

Bardock threw a hard right, striking Eyce in the face, causing him to stumble backwards. Eyce retaliated with a right of his own, making Bardock stumble back a little as well. Both warriors were beginning to tire. Eyce was half bent forward, breathing heavily, blood trickling from his mouth and nose, cuts, scrapes and bruises covering his body. Bardock was in no better shape. The two warriors seemed evenly matched at this point, both fighting for different reasons. Eyce wanted the Transekian Plates so he could unlock the secret of the room under the lake. Bardock was trying to prevent that, to save Transeki from the very fate of his home world, Planet Vegeta, and the original Planet Namek.

Eyce knew he was losing strength, but he couldn't afford to show Bardock that. He realized that if Bardock knew he was getting weaker, he'd take full advantage of the situation and end the battle quickly. Eyce looked into the sky, noticing that his attempt to destroy his stolen ship and Gummo had failed because of Sheamus.

"Sorry to disappoint." Bardock said before taking a deep breath. Eyce looked at him and grinned.

"Oh, that's quite alright, Super Saiyan." Eyce replied. He chuckled and straightened himself out, dusting himself off and cracking his neck. "Once I dispose of you and your friend, I'll go up there and take back what is rightfully mine." He said referring to the ship. "And I'll torture that traitor while I search for those Transekian Plates."

"I don't think so." Bardock retorted. He began stretching his arms, swinging them in a circular motion. "I don't plan on losing this fight. Especially not to you. Your family has caused me enough grief. Only a handful on my own kind still live, thanks to your father." He then looked Eyce dead in the eyes. Eyce's grin faded, turning into a frown. "You claim to hate your father, to be nothing like him. But from my perspective, you're EXACTLY like him."

Eyce's eyes began to twitch, and his muscles started to tremble. "My family is evil, Bardock. It's been that way for centuries! My organization, the one you destroyed, was mine to control however I saw fit." Eyce slowly began walking toward Bardock. "My father was sick, he found great pleasure in destroying worlds and making people suffer. For me, it's just business."

Bardock started walking in Eyce's direction as he approached Bardock. "Then why is it that you seem so satisfied when you're torturing and killing people like the natives of this planet? Why is it that, whenever I have the upper hand in this fight, you start doing exactly what your father did?" Eyce stopped and began to tremble more so than he was before. "Calling me a monkey, losing your temper. All things that Frieza did. Face it, Eyce. You are the spitting image of your father."

"Shut your mouth!" Eyce shouted as he fired a large purple energy wave at Bardock. Bardock leaped high into the air, avoiding the blast. It struck the ground, exploding on contact.

Bardock watched as Eyce stared into the cloud of smoke and dust. He had distress tattooed all over his face. That's it! Bardock thought, He hates being compared to Frieza so much that he loses focus along with his temper. That's my ticket to winning this battle.

Bardock phased out and appeared in front of Eyce, striking him in the face with a punch. Then, he pulled Eyce's head down with both of his hands and began striking him in the face with his knees. After about eight knee strikes, Eyce put his hands up to block, and then grabbed Bardock's leg. He swung him around in a circle and released his grip, sending Bardock flying into the air.

"Let's see how you like this one!" Eyce shouted, raising his hand up with his pointer finger aimed at Bardock. "Death Beam!" He fired the purple beam at Bardock. Bardock flipped backward and crossed his arms in front of him, guarding himself from the attack. It struck him, causing a massive explosion in the air. After a few moments, the smoke cleared, and Bardock was nowhere to be found. Eyce sighed and chuckled. "Finally, rid myself of one of those apes."

"Did you say apes? Is your name by chance, Frieza?"

Eyce turned around with a deep scowl to see Bardock standing behind him with his arms crossed. Eyce growled. "How dare you!" He shouted, throwing himself toward Bardock. He went to punch him in the face but Bardock side-stepped him and grabbed his arm. He flipped Eyce over onto his back and then slid down, pulling Eyce's arm between his legs and locking him into an armbar hold. "Gragh! What are you doing?" Eyce shouted, struggling to escape Bardock.

"You're not getting out of this one!" Bardock said, pulling back on Eyce's arm. Bardock applied more and more pressure as Eyce continued to struggle. Bardock's eyes were clenched shut, he was starting to hurt from all of the pressure he was putting into the hold. After a few moments, all Bardock could hear was a loud snap, followed by the frantic screaming of Eyce. He then released him and rolled backwards up to his feet.

Eyce was kneeling on the ground, holding his injured right arm with his left, screaming at the top of his lungs in sheer agony. "You broke my arm! You broke my arm!" He shouted. Bardock watched his foe as he groaned and cried out in pain. "You monkey, you snapped my arm!"

"Yet another example of how you and your father are so alike." Bardock said. Eyce growled at this statement. "Here's an idea. If you hate Frieza so much, stop talking like him, stop acting like him." Bardock crossed his arms, studying Eyce as he knelt on the ground, gripping his broken arm. He could sense Eyce's power slowly decreasing. He then smirked. "It's over, Eyce."

"What are you talking about?" Eyce said as he slowly stood up. He stared Bardock in the eyes, breathing heavily. "I'm not finished with you yet."

"How do you figure?" Asked Bardock.

"You're still alive, and until you're dead, I will not be satisfied."

"How do you plan on killing me with one arm?" Bardock uncrossed his arms and proceeded to crack his knuckles. "It looks to me like I've won this battle. All that remains if for me to end your suffering."

Eyce began laughing, a laugh identical to his father's evil laugh. "Ah, you foolish Saiyan, that's where you're wrong." Eyce extended his left arm out to his side and opened his palm, facing it upward. Quickly, he generated a red energy disk with a pink blade made of pure energy. It spun rapidly, creating small electrical sparks of the same color. "I told you that I inherited many of my father's techniques, and this is one of them. I present to you, the Kienzan Disk. My father created this attack, and now I wield it. And because I am far more powerful than Frieza ever was, this attack is much, much stronger. It will cut through anything."

"You plan on slicing me in two to beat me, huh?" Said Bardock as he readied his battle stance.

"Well, that was my original plan." Eyce said, smirking. "But you've given me an opportunity to test out a new technique of mine in battle." Eyce raised his left hand up over his head, moving the disk as well, then he moved his hand over to his damaged right arm, causing the disk to cut through it. Eyce screamed in more agony as he did this, Bardock could only watch in horror. Blood shot out in all directions. Finally, Eyce finished the cut, and his broken arm fell to the ground.

"Oh my god, what the fuck!?" Bardock exclaimed, horrified by what he just witnessed.

Eyce sighed, and then laughed. "Oh no, the show isn't over just yet." Eyce raised his stub of a remaining arm, which he had cut half way between his shoulder and elbow, then started screaming. His arm started to pulse, squirting more blood from the wound, and then in a near instant, a new arm shot out from where he'd cut his old one off. Bardock's eyes shot wide open and he stumbled back a bit.

"What!? Regeneration!?" Bardock shouted.

"Hahaha!" Eyce laughed. He rolled his newly grown arm around a few times to get used to it, then cracked his wrist, then his knuckles. "Yes Bardock, regeneration. An ability my father could never dream of mastering... Though, I didn't exactly learn it cleanly." Eyce closed his eyes and placed both arms behind his back. "Once upon a time, somewhere deep in space, I was opposed by a lone Namekian. He was stranded on a planet that I controlled, and at the time, I happened to be on. He too mistook me for my father, and attacked me. I grabbed his arm in defense, and ripped it clean from his body. He screamed for a few minutes. I thought he'd beg for mercy, but instead, I witnessed the most disgusting, yet magical thing I'd ever seen. He sprout a new arm, covered in his bodily fluids, then proceeded to laugh in my face, but that was his last mistake." Eyce opened his eyes and pointed at Bardock. "I fired a Death Beam right through his chest, killing him in an instant, and then had my top scientists study his body, his cells. I knew that regeneration could come in handy some day, and I wanted it for myself. I couldn't just inject his blood into my system, instead, my scientists worked long and hard on cloning the regenerative cells of this Namekian. It took a while, but they were able to create an equal amount of cells for my body, which equaled the amount the Namekian had. I tested it out in the lab, and it worked like a charm. Though, it took a few tries to get the speed at which I regenerated limbs, let's just say there's a garbage bin on my home world full of my dead limbs."

"You're a beast!" Bardock shouted. "Stealing other race's cells and abilities for your own selfish desires, that sounds like something Frieza would have done!"

"Well he didn't!" Eyce snapped, "He was too blinded by his hunger for destruction and homicide that he hardly ever used his brain!" Eyce then took a deep breath and continued: "I, on the other hand, am far more intelligent than he ever was and am much more patient."

"Yeah? You really show it." Bardock retorted.

"Well, I don't take kindly to those who oppose me, and lie to me, and steal my property." Eyce locked eyes with Bardock. "That's enough chit chat for now, I think it's time to get back to killing you."

Bardock braced himself for more combat. He could tell that, though Eyce was calm and confident, his power was fading. He's trying to hide his depleting energy from me, I don't think he realizes that I can sense energy without a scouter. Bardock continued to think as he studied Eyce. It would still be a challenge for him to beat Eyce, but if he could just drag the fight on long enough, to where Eyce's power was BELOW Bardock's, then maybe he'd have a chance. Bardock then nodded. "Come and try."

xXxXxXx

Sheamus hovered high above the surface, above Bardock and Eyce. He knew they were about to lock up again, and that meant more harm to the planet itself. He wasn't safe in the sky, knowing that the two warriors could end up anywhere at any time. At least up here, he could act as a shield knowing that Gummo is above the atmosphere in the ship, waiting for the fight to end, prepared to either land or flee depending on the battle's outcome.

"They're going to fight until one of them is dead, or until there is no more planet to fight on." Sheamus said to himself. His hair waved as the wind blew. "I'm no good in this fight. Eyce is far more powerful than I am. He damn near killed me once." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a few small, red berries. "If not for these healing berries, I'd be a dead man right now. If either of us die..." Sheamus paused and stared into space for a moment. "This whole thing would be a failure." He looked back down to the two warriors. "I'd better get down there."

xXxXxXx

Space: Above Transeki

Gummo looked down at Planet Transeki through the big window in the captains quarters of the ship. He was a nervous mess. The only way he would know if the battle ended would be if the Saiyans came up and retrieved him, or it was Eyce. At the moment, he was clueless, just watching the yellow-orange planet.

"Come on guys, you can do this." Gummo said, staring out the window in fear and suspense. "You have to..."

xXxXxXx

Planet Transeki

Bardock stared into Eyce's eyes, awaiting attack. Before either fighter could make a move, Sheamus landed a few feet to the left of Bardock. Eyce turned his attention to the red-haired Saiyan and grinned. "Ah, welcome back. Have you come to make your death quicker?"

"Hah," Sheamus chuckled, "Nah, I'm here to spectate. I'm clearly no match for you, fella. Besides, I wouldn't want to spoil Bardock's fun."

Bardock looked at Sheamus with a half smirk, then turned back to Eyce. "Alright, it's go time!" Bardock brought up his aura, and prepared to charge at Eyce, but in an instant, his hair faded from golden to black, and his eye color reverted from that emerald green color to black as well. His muscle mass decreased and his aura faded, and he soon realized his strength was much lower than it was before. "What? What's going on!?" He panicked. Eyce began to laugh like a hyena, hysterically and uncontrollably. This irritated Bardock and Sheamus, but now that Bardock was no longer a Super Saiyan, what could he really do that wasn't considered a death wish?

Eyce's laugher soon died down, and he looked at Bardock right in the eyes. "My my, what do we have here? It looks like you've run out of energy."

Bardock's eyes were wide opened and blood shot. How could this be? We haven't done any fighting in about ten minutes, I should have gained whatever power I lost during the fight. His eyes shifted toward the ground. This is bad. This is really bad. He looked back up at Eyce, who was slowly approaching him. The doubts began flooding his mind once again. The memories of finding his comrades slaughtered on Planet Meat, the death's of Takomi and his son, and countless villagers of Planet Transeki. Now, he had lost his Super Saiyan power, and was about to fail once again. He knew it. Sheamus, Gummo, and himself were all going to die within the next few minutes. Then, his mind went blank, his head dropped down, and he lost consciousness. But he remained standing up in a hunched over position.

"Aww look, Bardock has passed out. The realization must finally be setting in." Eyce chuckled and walked up to him. Bardock was indeed unconscious. And Sheamus was unable to form words. His mouth was wide open, his eyes wide, he was frozen in fear because he too knew that the end was near.

Eyce grinned and grabbed Bardock's hair, lifting his head up. Bardock's eyes were open, and pure white. Drool was trickling from his opened mouth. Eyce placed his other hand a few inches away from Bardock's throat, and generated a purple ki energy blade around his hand.

"Stop now!" Sheamus yelled. He charged at the tyrant, only to be whipped away by Eyce's tail. He struck the ground hard, almost unable to breathe and move.

"Foolish monkey!" Eyce shouted. He turned his head to Sheamus, who was struggling to stand back up. "Wait your turn! I will kill you once I'm done killing Bardock. So hold tight." He laughed and turned his head back to Bardock. "Rest in peace, monkey."

The Other World

King Kai too was in a panic. He was monitoring two planets, one of which was already in turmoil, and the other was just four days away from it. He was closely monitoring the events on Planet Transeki, because he knew that if Bardock and Sheamus failed, Eyce would be heading for Earth next, which would cause major complications for the Z Fighters. The boy from the future warned Goku of the Androids, a pair of mechanical monsters, each much stronger than Frieza. But already, a force much stronger than the deadly tyrant, which happens to be his own son.

Come on, come on! King Kai yelled in his mind, You guys have no other choice but to defeat Eyce! He was thinking as if Bardock and Sheamus could hear him. He too was losing hope, as he saw that Eyce had an energy blade up to Bardock's throat. The lightest touch would rip his neck right open and end his life in an instant. And Sheamus was unable to move now that Eyce leveled him with his tail.

Sweat poured from King Kai's face, it was as if his own life was a stake. He knew that his former student and friend, Goku, and his allies were all in serious danger if Bardock and Sheamus were to fail.

"Come on! You have to do this NOW!" King Kai shouted.

xXxXxXx

Planet Transeki

Eyce winced as he looked into Bardock's lifeless white eyes. "It's a pity, I was really enjoying our time together. I will admit, you were a worthy adversary, but you've proven to me what I've known all along." Eyce paused and closed his eyes for a moment, then went to speak again, but before he could, he felt a firm grip around his right wrist. He opened his eyes to see Bardock's hand around his wrist, holding his arm in place. His teeth were clenched together, but his eyes were still white. "What is this? More life, Saiyan?"

No words came from Bardock. Instead, his body started to glow. He turned completely golden, brightening the surrounding area. The sky darkened as if it was nightfall, but the sun was still out. Sheamus looked on at what was transpiring. All he could see was Bardock's golden silhouette, and Eyce with the look of fear on his face. Sheamus was in awe, he could feel Bardock's power rising again, higher than it was before, and in that moment, he felt a small sense of hope.

"What the hell are you doing, Saiyan?" Eyce exclaimed. Bardock was pushing him back, holding onto his wrist. Eyce had to shield his eyes, it was as if he was staring into the sun, only at point blank range. He raised his free arm up over his eyes, which was a mistake he could not avoid.

Bardock struck Eyce in the stomach with his free hand, letting go of Eyce's wrist at the same time, which sent Eyce back about thirty yards. Eyce didn't fall, or lose his balance. Instead, his feet dug into the ground as he slid back, creating two thin fissures in the crust. Bardock then rushed Eyce, striking him in the gut with his other hand. This time, Eyce didn't move, he just hunched forward. Bardock proceeded to punch Eyce repeatedly in the gut, machine gun like, then struck Eyce in the jaw with an uppercut, sending him flying through the air at untraceable speeds. Within seconds, Eyce was halfway up Transeki's atmosphere. He stopped himself using his energy, flipped backwards in mid air, and stared down at the planet.

"How dare he?..." Eyce said, rage flooding his voice, his body shaking violently from a mixture of pain and frustration. Eyce brought up his aura in a flash, a reddish-pink tinted aura with red electrical sparks shooting off in all different directions around him. "I am Lord Eyce, the most powerful being in the universe! I have surpassed even my own father, the mighty Lord Frieza!" He raised his right hand, pointer finger in the air, and gathered all of his ki energy, concentrating it into a small, black ki orb. "I've surpassed my uncle Cooler, my grandfather King Cold, and I refuse to be bested by a Saiyan!" The black orb grew very very large, about the size of Frieza's Supernova attack. "The rest of my family may have fallen at the hands of you filthy apes, but not I! I will go on to destroy all of the Saiyans that still remain in this universe! Die!" He then launched the orb toward Planet Transeki.

Sheamus knelt back, holding his stomach with both arms. He felt vomit coming up, and he was trying to keep it down. He looked up and saw the huge black orb approaching the planet. He looked over to Bardock's golden silhouette. "What are you doing?"

Bardock stood with his right arm aimed up at the sky, at the energy ball that would surely destroy the whole planet. The ball approached the planet more rapidly, creating wind gusts, uprooting and throwing trees in all directions, creating large cracks in the planet's crust. Bardock did not move, he held his ground and kept his aim. Then, all of the golden light that consumed his body moved down his right arm and out, forming a golden ki sphere in his palm. Without any words, Bardock fired a massive golden energy wave up toward Eyce's black orb. It struck the attack, destroying it on contact.

Eyce hovered in the sky, watching Bardock's energy wave approach him. "How could this be!?"

The energy wave consumed Eyce's body, quickly causing him to fade from sight. The blast continued into space, traveling fast and far, harmlessly away from Transeki. A golden light filled the Transekian sky, signifying that the blast had exploded, then the light faded away. The sky returned to it's yellow-orange color, not a cloud to be found. Bardock stood in the same position, in base form, gasping for breath. He had one eye closed, the other one half closed. He dropped to his hands and knees and started to vomit violently, his body forcing every last drop of liquid out of his gut, all while shaking uncontrollably. Following that was a few moments of dry heaving.

Sheamus approached Bardock slowly, still holding his abdomen trying to suppress the pain. "Well, it looks like ya did it."

Bardock coughed hard, then spit out more liquid. He shook his head and fell back fully on his knees. He wiped his arm across his forehead and sighed. "What the hell just happened?"

"What do you mean?" Sheamus asked.

"The last thing I remember," Bardock said, "Is falling out of Super Saiyan. After that, a whole bunch of flashbacks and visions hit me all at once, and then I blacked out."

"So, you don't remember any of what just happened?" Sheamus knelt down next to Bardock. Bardock shook his head and looked up to the sky. Sheamus looked up as well. "You just defeated Eyce."

Bardock was trying to catch his breath, but every time he'd start to calm down, he'd start coughing and hacking all over again. After a few brief hacking episodes, Bardock stood up and peered off into the distance. He could sense something, a feint life force, and after a minute of looking, he could see a body. Then he spoke. "No, I don't think so."

xXxXxXx

The Other World

King Kai let out a sigh of relief. He wiped his sleeve across his forehead and smiled. "Well, I don't quite know what to make of that, but it seemed to have did the trick. I can't sense Eyce anymore." King Kai turned to walk towards his small home, and found that his car had been overturned.

"What in the world?... Bubbles! Gregory!" King Kai shouted. He waited a moment. He got no response, then went to shout for them again, but his attention was quickly brought back to Planet Transeki. He turned around and refocused his senses on the planet. "Oh no... Don't tell me..."

"What is it King Kai?" Gregory finally answered as he approached King Kai, Bubbles in tow.

King Kai growled and quickly turned back around. "What did you two do to my car!?" He exclaimed.

"Oh, that? Bubbles decided he wanted to drive." Said Gregory with a sheepish laugh to follow.

"And you let him?" King Kai shouted. Waving his arms in the air, he began lecturing Gregory and Bubbles as to why monkeys and crickets can not drive cars. His frustration with the two caused him to temporarily forget about Planet Transeki. But he quickly re-focused his attention. He wasn't sure what to believe, all he was hoping was that Eyce was dead, but he wasn't sure anymore.

Planet Transeki

Bardock and Sheamus took their time approaching the body Bardock had spotted. They were both drained of their energy, so flying was out of the equation from the start. Bardock couldn't remember anything of the final exchange between Eyce and himself, which Sheamus had explained to him. But he couldn't recall any of it.

Finally, Bardock and Sheamus reached the body, and much to their dismay, it was Eyce. However, he was not fully intact. The energy wave Bardock released had ripped Eyce's left arm off from the shoulder, his right leg from the hip, half his tail, and a small portion of his head. It was a gruesome sight, and the fact that Bardock could sense any life force from him in this state was both remarkable and frightening all at once.

For a few silent moments, it seemed as though Eyce was in fact dead. Sheamus surely thought that, but Bardock knew otherwise. And then Eyce opened one of his eyes, proving Bardock right. The Saiyan duo took a step back, continuing to watch the mangled tyrant.

Eyce groaned and reached his right arm out toward the Saiyans while attempting to speak. "I... I... I can't believe it..." He forced out with a sigh. "Defeated... by a Saiyan..."

Bardock approached the near corpse of Eyce. "You say that like it's surprising. Your family history tells a different story."

"I thought..." Eyce began to reply, "I thought I could change our luck... I thought... I would be the stand out... The difference... Instead, I lie here, broken down, missing limbs..." He began coughing violently, spitting up blood. "Beat by a monkey..."

Bardock became furious with Eyce. "Dammit you ignorant bastard!" Bardock shouted. "You've proven to me time and time again today, that you are JUST LIKE FRIEZA!" Eyce simply stared at him with his half opened eye. Tears started to form, Bardock continued. "Calling us 'monkeys', killing and enslaving countless races and taking their homes, even the way you look. Face it Eyce, as much as you claim to hate him, you are just like your father."

Eyce started to tremble. Being compared to Frieza was something he couldn't bare, and could only cope with by destroying and hurting. He didn't believe those words, not for a second. "I... am not... like Frieza..." He said.

Bardock gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. Sheamus then tapped him on the shoulder. "End it."

Bardock nodded. "I'm going to."

As Bardock approached Eyce, Sheamus nodded and thought to himself. Yes. Finish

Bardock looked down at Eyce for a moment, raised a hand up and aimed it at Eyce. He contemplated killing him while he was vulnerable, but something inside of him was pulling him away from that decision. He lowered his hand. "Eyce, I want to kill you right now. I really do. You do nothing but remind me of Frieza. And as much as you remind me of him, you've also helped me come to terms with the fact that Frieza is gone."

A single tear slipped down Eyce's face as he listened to Bardock, as he watched him.

"Killing you would not give me peace of mind. Killing you would simply bring me down to your level. Would I be a hero? Yeah, probably. But I don't care about that." Bardock sighed. "I can't bring back the people you killed here, and by all means, I really should kill you for what you've done. But..." Bardock stopped and sighed.

"You're going to spare me?" Eyce questioned the Saiyan.

Bardock looked at the ground below him and nodded. "Just go home, Eyce. If you value your life any, just go home. I've paid for my sins, the whole Saiyan race paid for their sins when your father enacted genocide against us. Now you need to go take a long hard look at yourself." Bardock sighed and turned away from Eyce. "Now leave. Go home. If we ever cross paths again, you will die."

Silence followed. Eyce spent a few minutes staring at Bardock. For the first time since he was a child, he was scared. For this first time since he heard Frieza beat and abuse his mother, he was scared. Genuinely scared. Finally, he raised his right arm to his face. He had a small device implanted in his arm and he spoke into it. "Emergency... Attack Ball... Deploy..." His arm dropped to his side. His strength was depleting fast.

A few minutes passed, and a PTO Space Pod landed a few feet away from the trio of warriors. "Emergency Escape Ship." Bardock said.

The door of the Attack Ball opened up and Eyce slowly pulled himself inside. Once he settled into the ship, he pressed a few buttons, setting coordinates for his home planet. Then, he pressed another button, and the door started to close. Bardock turned and glanced at his mangled adversary as the door closed. He could tell that Eyce was in a state of shock. Then, the door sealed shut, and the ship started to hover. After a moment, it took off, disappearing in the evening sky of Transeki.

Sheamus looked at Bardock and grinned. "Kakarot would have done that. Is that why you spared him?"

Bardock turned away from Sheamus and looked into the sky. "I've been having a lot of visions lately, in my sleep. All of them about Kakarot. At first, I thought he'd lost who he was. But the more I had the visions, the more I realized something. Kakarot is who he is for a reason, and I'll never be half the man that he is. Kakarot isn't a ruthless killer like the rest of us were, whether under Frieza's leadership or not. We were bred murderers. But that can change. It's already started... with Kakarot."

"I suppose you're right." Said Sheamus. He approached his ally and gave him a pat on the neck. Bardock fell to the ground, landing hard on his back. Sheamus walked passed him and glanced down to make eye contact with him.

Bardock was staring at Sheamus with a wide eyed expression, but he wasn't moving. His mind was racing, he was in panic mode all over again, but he had no control over his body. He couldn't move, he couldn't speak, but he could still see, smell, hear and think. He was completely helpless.

"Bardock," Said Sheamus. "You're paralyzed. Temporarily. In four hours, you'll regain your mobility, and all of your strength. In ten minutes however, you will fall unconscious. I cannot tell you why I have done this to you yet. It pains me to keep secrets from someone I call a friend, but know this. It's for the best." Sheamus then took to the sky and sped off out of Bardock's field of view.

Ten long, silent minutes passed, and just as Sheamus said, Bardock fell unconscious...
