Chapter 10: A New Dawn
Shun P.O.V.
I held Skyress close. I had almost lost her… my precious partner!
"Shun, I am fine. You don't need to beat yourself up over something you couldn't have foreseen!" She said soothingly.
"Damn you… damn you all to HELL!" Nerine cursed. She collapsed onto her knees as the Negative Energy began to leave her body.
"Bind, Chains of Shadow! Gleipnir!"
Cassandra's magic triangle appeared underneath her as she chanted. When she finished, another, smaller triangle appeared underneath her friend. Several dark purple chains rose up, and held down Nerine as the Negative Energy left her. It became obvious that she wasn't infected with as much Negative Energy as Cassandra was when we first met. Cassandra sighed as the Aquos Brawler passed out.
"I know what you're thinking-it took two brawls to fully purify me, but Nerine had a lot of bad things happen to her with no support. Her heart was vulnerable, but she'll recover." She told me.
"Bad things? Like what?" I asked. She sighed again.
"Can you get the others online? Both of us have a tale to share, and I think it would be best if everyone heard it at once." She asked. I thought for a moment, and, looking to the sky, I realized how late it was.
"Let's rest first. I'll contact you when everyone's ready."
She nodded in agreement.
"I'll take Nerine so I can maintain the binding spell."
Cassandra did as promised, using her "Dimensional Transfer" ability, this time taking her friend with her. I went inside, instantly crashing on my pillow, and falling asleep.
"Good night, Shun. You've certainly earned it." Skyress whispered.
? P.O.V., Just Before Dawn…
"Where… am I?"
"It seems you made it."
I chuckled a little.
"You act like you thought I was dead."
"I thought you were. That was a tough battle, even for us."
I pulled myself up into a sitting position.
"You know, something was strange about that Brawler."
"Oh, just noticing that now, huh?"
I got a tic. I guess it was the price to pay for having six different Bakugan… oh well.
"You know that when I go into a battle, the only thing I think about is the battle, moron!" I snapped.
"Alright, alright, geez!"
I took a deep breath.
"It seems two of the others that I researched are already here. The Belkan Knight and the Shinigami hybrid. That means the Darkus, Aquos, and Haos Attributes are taken care of."
I stood up, joined by the six Bakugan.
"Lady Luck does seem to be on your side, and we can change Attributes!"
"You don't think I know your abilities? You each can only shift from Haos to one different Attribute. That Attribute is different for the each of you-for you, Fang, it's Haos to Darkus, and back."
"Ummm...aren't we all Haos at the start?"
I chuckled a little bit.
"Yes, it's true. But we need to move. Maker knows where the other two are."
"Then let's go. We can't chance anything with you-know-who running around."
I gathered up my six Bakugan, and prepared to head off, knowing that soon enough, this battle would expand to a massive interdimensional war.
Third Person P.O.V., Same Time…
"Nothing will stop milord from conquering all creation… Neathia… Gundalia… New Vestroia… Gran Pulse… Cocoon… Earth… Mid-Childa… Belka… Not even Soul Society will be able to escape…"
"It seems the Pulse L'Cie Haos Brawler followed us. No doubt she will go find warriors to stop us."
"Let her. There are none that can oppose us."
"Indeed. Shall we go, then?"
"We shall."
A shadowy figure spread its dark wings, and took off from the rooftop, ready for the hunt.
