Jayma's POV
"Jay!" Matt calls for me from downstairs. Clock reads 7:30. I was late.
"Jayma!" He calls out again. I groan but walk towards him.
"Hey there sleepy head." He says kissing my forehead. "I know, you're late and you're supposed to cook breakfast today but since I'm a gentleman and I love you I cooked." he smiles.
"Thank you." I say groggily. "You meeting my parents was really tiring." I tell him.
"Oh, thank God you said that! It reminded me of the cookies!" He walks to the counter. He comes back with the bag of cookies in his hands, munching on it, one cookie to another. He grins like a little kid who got everything he wanted for Christmas.
"You're a dork." I say hitting him in the chest playfully.
"Well I'm your dork so that's good enough." He winks jokingly.
"You're so silly." I say laughing.
"Eat up Jayma Mays! It's bad enough that you made me cook breakfast twice in a row, now you're not going to eat with me?" he says munching on another cookie.
My jaw drops. "You wouldn't be eating those cookies, which are from MY parents." I emphasize the 'my' "If it weren't for me." I say raising my eyebrows.
"You win this time." he says. "But if you don't get eating we'll seriously be late for filming today." he says truthfully.
"What's the menu today Mr. Morrison?" I ask him. He laughs at my formality.
"Blueberry pancakes." he answers and I gasp. "What?" he asks me confused.
"That's my favorite! I always ask you to make those but you always make the chocolate chip ones. This is very surprising." I laugh. "What's gotten into you Matty Fresh?"
"I just wanted to impress my girl." He says nudging my elbow.
"You didn't have to but well what's not to like when I have my blueberry pancakes and my man making them for me." I blush.
I sit down on the dining table and he gives me two pieces, putting the jar of maple syrup in front of me. "Thank you Matt." I say smiling. I pour the syrup on the pancake and I start to eat.
"Uhm- this is really good." I say nodding. "Good thing I didn't wake up on time." I say laughing.
"You're abusing my kindness!" he says gasping.
I roll my eyes. "I do not!"
"Come on Jayma!" Matt calls for me from the garage.
"We're going to be late!" He calls out again. I looked at my watch. It was nine o'clock already, we had to be in set at nine.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I say running down with my heels in my hands, as I get to the front door I put my heels on and make my way to the car.
"You are finally here." Matt says sighing. I roll my eyes at him. "It's been a thousand days Jay." he rolls his eyes jokingly at me.
"Well I'm here now." I smile. "Let's go?"
"Yeah of course." He gets inside and before he starts the car, he grabs a bag that I don't know the contents of. He smiles and starts to drive.
He hasn't opened the bag yet but then he stops in the stoplight and he opens it. I furrow my brows as he does and I giggle a bit when I see what he was grabbing once he fully opened it.
It was the cookies, the one my mom gave to me and Matt to take home.
I see him getting all giddy and excited and I begin to laugh.
"What?" He stares at me with a cookie in hand.
"You're still eating those?"
"Yeah why not?" he asks me confused. I laughs harder. "Your parents gave it to us right. And you're not asking for any so I'm just eating." he grins.
"You eat like a kid." I laugh harder. "I wonder how you keep that six pack of yours." I say patting his stomach.
He glares at me.
"I have my morning jogs Jay, and dancing takes a lot of effort." he says serious.
"Okay, okay. I wish I could eat like you and still have a great body." I say lifting my shirt up and looking at my tummy.
"You have a great body." he smirks. "The most amazing body I've ever seen." he says.
"Matty Fresh are you seducing me!"
The stoplight goes to green.
He gives me this 'I did not just do that' look and starts to drive. People are buzzing their horns at us.
"You're such an irresponsible driver." I tell him.
"I am not! You're just distracting me." he pouts and I furrow my brows. "I can't keep my eyes off of you. You're so beautiful."
I laugh, he laughs too. "I'm serious Jayma, you're such a distraction."
I pout. "Do you mean that in a good way or?" my lip trembles and he shakes his head worried.
"No, no, I don't mean that kind of distraction. I meant a good distraction, a distraction from all my problems Jayma, I'm sorry I made you feel that way." he runs a hand through his hair. "I mean it in the best way possible." he puts his hand on my hand.
"Good, cause I love you and I don't want you to let me go." I say gripping his hand tighter on mine.
"I love you too, and I don't want you to let me go either Jayma." he looks at me and smiles. "You're the best thing that's ever been with me for the longest time." he says sincerely.
The car comes into a stop and I realize that we're here. I get out of the car and Matt does too. He comes to my side and holds his hand on mine, he grabs both of our bags and brings me to my trailer, he puts my bag inside and he heads for the door.
"I'll see you in a while?" he asks.
"Of course I'll see you later Mr. Schuester." I say jokingly.
"Yes Miss Pillsbury." he rolls his eyes. We weren't going to film yet today, we were just going to dub our voices for the twelfth episode, or the Spanish teacher.
I went inside my trailer and I sat there. I remember Brad offering me and Matt to have one trailer for the two of us, and though I wanted to be by his side, we both mutually declined.
We wanted to have space for just ourselves. So here I was, sitting down in my trailer, all alone reading my script for today's work.
I saw in the script what Matt was going to wear and I mentally cringed when I found out that he was going to wear a sombrero and he was going to wear this weird, weird Spanish costume.
I paused in my reading and I started to laugh.
I could make fun of him.
I could finally get my revenge for him teasing me about one of my Emma costumes in season one.
This is going to be a great episode.
