Well I think this update was well overdue… I was just watching like a marathon of Criminal Minds and I was like shit I should probably make some updates. I am so fucking sorry that I haven't been writing anything, life has been fucking crazy with volleyball (made it provincials yay!) and school and work L.

Without further ado...

JJ entered the station in tow with Emily. Her heart raced as she dreaded the coming moments. They found Walter, so they could already even know about her. She debated making a run for it, but quickly shook that idea off as there was no way that she would be able to evade her team. For now at least.

As soon as she walked into the room where the team had set up, four pairs of eyes stared up at here. JJ's mind flipped to protective mode, protection over herself.

"JJ, have a seat," Hotch said calmly.

"I'm fine standing," she retorted, shortly and remained standing in the corner while Hotch stood across from her, leaning slightly on the table. The rest of the team was seated around the table, carefully observing.

"I'm going to get right into it JJ. We need some answers here," Hotch began. JJ rolled her eyes. "Something is not right here, you have been acting strange for the past few days, you've withheld information pertaining to the case, you have lied about where you grew up, you obviously know a suspect in the investigation and now we have reason to believe the unsub's target victim."

"Wow, I've certainly gotten around to a lot know haven't I," JJ muttered under her breath.

Hotch paused his mini interrogation. He was used to dealing with his level-heading, calm media liaison and it seemed like JJ's personality had made a 180 degree turn into someone who he had never encountered before.

"I am just going to ask some questions," Hotch said carefully. He decided to take a more cautious strategy. "JJ, who is Augusto Ciceros?"

"A friend," JJ replied without expanding further.

"How did you meet him?"

"Nowhere of your concern," JJ snapped back.

"It is of my concern. Answer the question please," Hotch replied. JJ suddenly felt red hot rage boiling through her body.

"Why do I feel like I am a suspect here, because it's not like I can fucking rape someone is it now. Hmm maybe I'm the partner and I enjoy the killing part," JJ retorted, her voice gradually getting louder and louder. Everyone in the room was taken aback. This wasn't JJ, not the woman they knew and had come to love. This was someone who was damaged, someone who was so alike to the people they came across in the work that they did.

"JJ, why would you even think that?" Morgan said from his chair.

"Jennifer, nobody is implying anything," Hotch reasoned, remaining steadily calm despite her outburst. "I just need you to answer the questions because there are multiple lives on the line here."

"High school," JJ mumbled, almost inaudibly.

"JJ, according to your file, you went to school in East Allegheny," Hotch opened up Auggie's file and read something. "And this file says that Ciceros went to school here, at Mount Horizon so-"

"She went to Mount Horizon," Emily spoke up. She hadn't exactly been planning on interrupting, but she didn't think that JJ was actually going to speak up. "We were stuck in that storm yesterday, and you know how we ended up at the school…" she added for clarification.

"Okay, why were you at Mount Horizon," Hotch continued, deciding to skip over the whole fact that her file was a lie.

"I screwed up in life," JJ said simply.

"JJ, who is Shelby?" Hotch asked, fearing the answer.

"She doesn't matter," JJ whispered after a long pause.

"Yes she does," Hotch said.

"Come on JJ," Emily urged.

"She was me," JJ burst out. "She was broken and damaged and dirty so she turned into someone who wasn't! Is that what you want to hear?"

"JJ, what do you mean by she was you?" Reid asked.

JJ took a deep breath.

"Jennifer Jareau didn't exist 10 years ago," JJ said.

There was a pregnant pause.

"You changed your name," Hotch said, less of a question and more like a statement. When the team had gone to Walt Blaine's home the day before, there were picture of JJ plastered along the wall, with 'Shelby' written on them over and over again. The team had figured that JJ had changed her name, but they needed to be sure. Emily had guessed as much, but she was still experiencing the shock.

"Why did you change your name, JJ?" Hotch questioned slowly, dreading the answer.

"I already told you, what else do you want me to say," JJ replied.

Morgan saw the fear in her eyes. The way she said that Shelby was 'dirty', she might as well of told him point blank what had happened to him. Never the less, he didn't want to believe it. JJ was his sweet little sister. The innocent one. He felt the sudden urge to punch a wall, but resigned to clenching his fists around his chair's armrests.

"JJ," Morgan spoke up. The blonde in question hated the way that her name was being overused in this conversation. Every sentence seemed to start or end with her name. She had seen them use this tactic on victims and unsubs, hell she had used it herself and it just made her feel more damaged and victimized.

"What?" JJ bit back.

Morgan paused, thinking about how to phrase what he was about to ask.

"JJ, did what happen to me, happen to you," he asked carefully.

JJ's eyes started to darken in fear. The team waited patiently for their friend answer, they had all come to the same possible conclusion.

"Fuck you Morgan," JJ almost screamed. She seemed to take a breath before continuing. "No, no."

Just from her small outburst it was clear to the team that JJ was not telling them the truth. None of them knew what to say. On a piece of paper it was simple, it was something they did every day, but when it came to someone who they never expected this to happen to, they had no idea what to do. When Derek's secret had come out, it had somehow felt different.

Emily stood up and moved closer to where her friend was standing.

"JJ, are you sure you're telling us the truth," Emily started. "We're your friends JJ, you can talk to us."

"What do you want me to say!?" JJ shouted. "That Walt was Shelby's step-father. That he came into her room ev-every night starting when she was 8 years old. That she thought it was normal. That he ra-raped her every fucking night for seven fucking years, until she couldn't take it an-anymore and ran away to another hell. That she pushed every person who came close to caring about her away and that she changed her name in hopes that I would be able to look in the mirror and not be disgusted. That she would be able to look in the mirror and I would not see a dirty, broken, scared whore."

So how was it...? I was stuck on a few parts so I'm not really sure how it turned out.

Please please please let me know/review, it would really help me keep writing and despite my severely lacking update skills, I do want to update my fics.

Anyway, thanks so much for sticking with me on this :)
