A/N:
Well, hello there gorgeous people! :D
I'm back (again) with another chapter for The Complex. Just a quick note, it seems that Tezuka-Chisaki is the most popular couple, followed by Fuji-Kaede and Sanada-Risa. Hmmm.
Well. If you guys wanna know a little bit more about Risa-chan, here's a chapter dedicated to her (although not 100%). I hope you guys will enjoy this one. :D
As always, do READ AND REVIEW. I love your reviews so far. Special shout out to MTheAwesome for the long review. That was very much appreciated. And to the guest reviewer (dhione26) thank you! And to Espeon14 , yes that was indeed our Tensai. :D He seems to notice a lot, right?
Anyways. Do enjoy this one!
Disclaimer: I do not own PoT.
Chapter 10: Living with the Dirty Laundry
The loud buzz of the alarm clock was immediately smothered as a slim hand slam itself and turned the device off. Burrowing deeper in her blankets, hair askew around her head, Risa groaned. Mornings are the worst, even if its the weekend.
Turning her face to the side, she eyed her room lazily, noting the pieces of paper lying on the floor where she threw them last night before climbing to her bed to sleep. The paper she'd been writing is being such a bitch (or maybe it was the other way around), so she decided to ditch the writing and burrowed herself on her warm, comfortable sheets.
Staring at the digital clock she has on her study table, Risa mentally counted the things she has to do today.
It's a Saturday, so her housemates would probably wake up a little later. Well, except for Chisa-chan, who has the internal alarm clock of a rooster, or maybe a hen (No. Kaede-chan is the mother-hen). Kaede-chan stayed up late last night so the mother-hen would probably wake-up a little later (like around fifteen minutes later than she usually does).
Sugimoto and Kobayashi will (of course) be the last two girls to get out of their beds; Misaki, who stayed up even later than the mother-hen, will probably wake up at around nine, since she has a festival to prepare for. Speaking of festivals...
She groaned. She and the other girls promised Misaki-chan that they would watch and support the design student. Damn! My laundry has piled up. I need to wash them or else I would have to ask charity for some clothes.
Curse Saturday mornings.
And curse laundry. Why can't they just wash their selves anyway?!
Deciding to get an early start with said laundry, Risa grumbled her way off of her bed. She grimaced at the state of her room.
Messy just got messier in her opinion.
Saturdays in the apartment complex is dedicated to one and only one thing: Laundry.
This is the time when the tenants have to haul their laundry baskets filled with smelly (Hikari's socks mostly), dirty (Sugimoto's jeans-geez, does that girl roll in the ground or something?) and just over-all gross clothes to the spacious laundry room.
It's a great thing said room is huge (Risa had thought of making it into an extra room-you can never have too much space you know!). They don't have to worry about not having enough space, since there are currently fourteen of them living together at the apartment, and all of them do their laundry at the same day, having classes and part-time jobs most of the weekdays.
So, without so much as getting a cup of tea or coffee, Risa dragged her laundry (and herself) towards the room. She separated the colored from the whites lazily with droopy green eyes, her mind drawing a blank every now and then. How Chisa-chan can stay awake for fifteen-plus hours and only around five or six hours of sleep everyday is beyond her comprehension. She is dead tired and sleepy that she didn't even notice a glaring red thin-strapped bra left lying on the floor as she lifted the basket and started putting her clothes into the machine.
'I'll go back after fifteen minutes,' she thought as she rubs her eyes with her hand, 'I need food.'
Without so much as a backward glance, she walked out of the room and into the kitchen. 'I wish Chisaki is awake already. I want to eat pancakes.' She thought with a yawn.
Sanada Genichiro woke up a little bit later than he intended in this particular Saturday morning.
He has worked a little longer yesterday at the sports center along with his co-partimers since they have to attend to the school festival today.
But even so, thirty minutes behind his mental schedule is a little bit unusual. He also noticed that ever since moving to a new apartment complex, he has been finding it easier to fall asleep, and a little bit harder to wake up (with the exception of when his housemates felt the need to serve as human alarm clocks on most days). He cannot decide if the change is for the good or the opposite.
The loud sound of (suspiciously) Sugimoto falling from her bed (again) prompted a suffering sigh to escape him, followed immediately by a stern mask on his face.
He has a laundry to attend to. He better get a move on before the rest of the house wakes up and scramble to do the same.
Risa's lips stretched into a smile as she heard movements from the kitchen. The telltale sound of spoon meeting the edges of a ceramic cup told her that at least one of the girls are awake (Tezuka-san and Sanada-san, the two early male-birds-that sounded so damn uncomfortable even in her mind- are careful not to make sounds when they're drinking their tea).
'Chisa-chan is talking to herself again,' she thought with a chuckle. The two of them (Chisaki and her) have a long-standing tradition of talking to themselves to ease boredom, or just to annoy the hell out of their friends (Sugimoto and Kaede-chan especially).
A cheerful laughter from the kitchen had Risa frowning. When did her friend started laughing alone? Talking alone sure is acceptable, but, laughing?!
Worried about the sanity (or was 'insanity' the better word?) of her friend, Risa sped up her steps towards the kitchen-ready to save Chisaki from losing her mind (completely).
Only to find said friend sitting across a seemingly amused Tezuka Kunimitsu. Risa felt her eyebrows shot up to where her hairline is (which is quite high I tell you, dear Risa is a little bit of a forehead girl you know).
She knows that the two usually spend weekend mornings together, sipping their morning cups and talking in a little bit of German. What she didn't know was just how close the two seem to be. Like, right now. Tezuka is leaning on his left elbow on the table, the cup of (presumably) tea on his right hand, his usually passive face looks calm and relaxed, with the lines around his mouth smoothed out, even showing what Risa would assume his version of a smile. He looks every bit comfortable.
Chisaki, on the other hand, is every bit her usual self: relaxed and cheerful. Risa can see only her side profile, but she can tell her friend is enjoying herself. The smile on her lips, the one that Risa rarely sees- the one that brings out that cute little dimple on her chin- Chisaki is wearing that same smile. Risa has to wonder just what it is that her friend finds so amusing that she is wearing that smile.
Tezuka was the first to notice her, and Risa saw his eyes widened a fraction, before shifting on his seat and nodding at her.
It took him a little longer to notice me huh? Hmmm.
Chisaki turned her face towards Risa upon noticing Tezuka's nod. The smile she had on was replaced by a grin (Risa felt a little envious that Chisaki deemed Tezuka worthy of showing that smile).
"Risa-chan! You're early today..are you feeling well?!"
Staring at her friend rather wryly, Risa made her way towards the table. Pulling on a chair and sitting down, she said "I'm okay Chisa-chan. Just a little bit sleepy."
Nodding her head, Chisaki asked. "Coffee? Or do you want tea?"
"Just coffee will do."
"Okay."
Watching as her friend busied herself at the counter, Risa turned to the male in front of her. He suddenly became..wary-so unlike his earlier countenance. Hmmm.
"Did you finish writing that paper for next week, Tezuka-san?" she asked in a lazy tone, propping her face with both hands, elbows at the surface of the table.
"Hn. I need to re-write it though." Tezuka answered with a slight nod.
"Ugh. Good for you. Mine is still a draft." she complained, "Writing papers like that is such a drag."
"Hn."
Chisaki came back and puts down a cup of coffee in front of her. Smiling gratefully, Risa took the cup and sipped from it. "Damn, Chisa-chan! You really get it right every goddamned time."
Laughing softly, Chisaki went back to her chair, cupping her own cup of coffee (second, if Risa isn't mistaken). "I've been making your coffee for the last few years Risa-chan. Of course I'd know it by heart!"
Risa saw Tezuka raise an eyebrow, but remained silent. She chuckled. "By the way, why are you dressed like that?" she asked her friend.
"Like what?"
"Don't act dumb on me Chisaki." She retorted in a dry voice. "You have somewhere to go to?"
Chisaki is wearing her usual get-up whenever she would leave for her part-times: denim pants, t-shirt underneath a thin jacket and short mouton boots. Her long dark hair in a bun at the top of her head. She looked ready to go.
Sighing, the girl offered her a smile. "I received a call from one of the shops I work for. They asked me to cover for one of their employees today."
"Misaki-" Risa started, but Chisaki held up a palm to stop her.
"I'll be back around three this afternoon, I promise. I already told Misa-chan."
Risa frowned before sighing. "Whatever. What time are you leaving?"
Eyes on her wristwatch, Chisaki nodded. "Right about now. I need to catch the earliest train." She rose after collecting her and Tezuka's cups, and then made her way towards the sink. Risa heard the sound of water rushing from the tap for a couple of seconds, before Chisaki walked towards the fridge and wipes her hand at the towel attached on its handle.
Tezuka, nodding at Risa, rose from his own chair.
"You going out as well, Tezuka-san?" she asked in a careful voice.
"Ah. I'm going for a bit of a run."
Men and their runs. "Oh...don't let us keep you then."
"Hn." Turning to Chisaki, he said. "I'll accompany you out, Kanai."
Raising her eyes from her bag, Chisaki smiled at him. "Okay!" then to Risa- "Ja na, Risa-chan. I'll try to come earlier later, okay?"
She nodded, unable to say anything to her friend, her mind still wrapping itself around the current circumstances.
Chisaki walked towards her and kissed her cheeks before going out the kitchen door, Tezuka behind her. The male left with a slight nod towards Risa before disappearing. She can hear Chisaki rambling a mile per minute, before the front door open and close.
And then there was total silence.
Staring at her cup of coffee, Risa found herself chuckling.
'Tezuka-san and Chisa-chan huh?' she thought to herself with just a little bit of wonder and amusement. The two would look good together, and they do complement each other.
She just wonders how long it would take before the two would realize it themselves. Tezuka-san seemed to be the typical dense, stoic male, while Chisa-chan...The girl isn't dense, but she'll never even believe someone likes her even if they say it on her face.
Oh well! She'll just have to wait and see. Right now, she has a pile of laundry waiting for her. Her fifteen minutes is up after all.
Now, if any other male is in his position, it would be understandable for them to maybe lose a little bit of their cool. Or maybe even go a little bit on the perverted side of their personality.
But he is Sanada Genichiro.
He does not lose his cool. Not even the fact that he is currently living with six (insanely gorgeous, with sets of killer legs and killer bodies) girls in an apartment complex can make him lose his composure. No. Not ever.
And he doesn't have a perverted side. It simply does not exist in Sanada Genichiro's life. No sir.
So he simply stared at the Thing. And no, he is so not wondering who among the girls he's living with right now owns the Thing. (Uhm...that kinda sounded a little uh...off? Whatever)
It was red, Sanada's mind processed as his eyes still themselves at the offending...Thing (he shall label it as a 'Thing' because he just simply couldn't bring himself to saying the blasted word) at the floor. It was red, with black dots all over the fabric and thin black straps. It looked so comfortable, lying there innocently at the floor, all spread out for the whole world (or in this case, for him) to see.
His mind wondered who owns that Thing. He immediately killed the thought.
But his treacherous mind whispered that whoever owns that Thing has rather bountiful ahh-assets.
(Pardon Sanada for a moment- He's trying to kill the perverted side of his mind(picture him doing his kendo-thingy here)). Wait, he does not have a perverted side, remember? Snicker.
Successfully killing said perverted side, he took four steps towards the Thing and picked it up gingerly. He was about to put it at the laundry basket near where he found it when the door to the laundry room opened.
Sanada cursed all the holy beings that he knows (which is quite a lot). Now he knows just why he felt suspicious upon waking up this particular morning.
Risa Shiraishi on the other hand, raised an eyebrow at him. And then her wide, green eyes shifted from the Thing on his hands and back to his face. Sanada wondered just what the temperature is this morning...because he suddenly feel warm.
And is his hand trembling?
"Hn. Shiraishi-san. Is this a bra?" he asked, and he had the sudden urge to bang his head at the nearest wall. Why now, in this time of dire need, did his tongue and mind coordination failed him?!
Her green eyes turned from being surprised, to being annoyed, to being disgusted and lastly to being amused (probably at his stupidity) all in a matter of five seconds.
Goddammit all.
Risa had never, even for just a single nano-second, has associated the name 'Sanada Genichiro' with the words 'pervert' or 'lewd' or 'pig'.
But her perfect image (she frowned at the thought) of him is currently being chipped off little by little by the situation at hand.
Because, if you haven't figured out yet, said man is holding her bra. Risa Shiraishi's bra. What surprises her even more though is the fact that he has just asked her, with a straight face (there was a tiny little blush as well, though she isn't so sure) if what he is holding is a bra. Like, seriously?
But, she eyed him suspiciously, maybe he's just acting all innocent because she caught him red-handed. I mean, of course he would know that what he is holding is indeed a bra...right? Even a child knows that.
But then again, this is Sanada Genichiro we're talking about here. You know, The Rock. Maybe he didn't really know? But that even is such a long shot.
Maybe she'd give him the benefit of the doubt then. And besides, the longer she deliberates about it, the longer time he'd be holding her bra. It looked so out of place there on his palm anyway.
So, schooling her expression into one of nonchalance, she crossed her arms in front of her (Sanada tried his hardest not to ogle at her chest and wonder if the Thing is hers, they do seem to fit- mind shutting up now?) and said. "Yes, Sanada-san. That is indeed a bra- my bra to be exact." She saw his eyes widen a little bit, which made her annoyed. Was it so surprising she has such uuhh- measurements? coughcough. "Now can I have it back, or would you want to try it first?"
She relished at the sight of his eyes bulging, face flaming a little bit brighter pink before he huffed and handed her the garment.
"Don't leave your things lying around Shiraishi-san." She heard him mumble as his hand pushed the bra towards her.
She rolled her eyes, having nothing to say to that (and maybe, just maybe, because she suddenly felt tingles from where his hand touched hers). What the hell was that?
The door closed behind him, and Risa stood there. Her eyes on the garment on her hands, but the fingers on her other hand running across her skin, warm from where he touched her.
It felt warm.
And so is her face.
Hikari eyed Risa as the girl brushed a strand of her auburn hair away from her forehead.
They are currently in Misaki-chan's room, getting ready for the festival (Misaki-chan already left earlier, saying about setting up their booths).
Right now, Risa-chan is trying to put her hair in a bun, but is having no success.
"Why the hell do I have this kind of hair anyway?" the girl grumbled, "It's so damn hard fixing!"
Asuna-chan scoffed. "Be thankful you have a beautiful hair, Shiraishi. It's your only saving grace."
Hikari has to agree with the ash-blonde girl. Risa-chan's hair is so pretty; it has that shiny reddish-gold tint, healthy and thick, curling slightly without the aid of any mousse or chemical-infused hair products. Hikari nearly died in envy the first time she saw the girl. her brown hair paled in comparison to her friend's.
"Yeah, you're right." Risa-chan agreed in a wry voice. "At least I have some saving grace. Not like you." she taunted.
Hikari ducked to avoid the flying slipper that was aimed at the auburn head. It landed somewhere near the door of the room, that opened after a split second.
"So that's where that slipper of mine is." Kaede said as she raised an eyebrow while leaning at the door. Hikari giggled nervously while Risa hid a grin. "I've been looking for that one since last term, Risa."
"But they were so comfy Kaede-chan!" Risa argued with a frown, still glaring at the hair tie she has on her hand. "I told you to buy me the same kind right? But you wouldn't!"
"So you deem it alright to steal mine?" Kaede asked.
"Yeah!"
"..."
Hikari giggled along with Risa, Asuna rolled her eyes while trying not to laugh outright. Kaede just really is scary.
"Whatever." the dark-haired girl sighed, "It's already ten. Let's go."
Risa grumbled under her breath about stubborn hair and stupid hair ties before throwing the said hair tie back on her table. Hair flowing on her back in graceful waves, she followed the other girls out of the room. Kaede is shaking her head at the two squabbling girls in front of them.
"Did you two eat breakfast at all?" Kaede asked in an exasperated voice as they approached the stairs.
Hikari looked back at them with pleading eyes. "No! I am so hungry Kaede-chan! I need food to last the whole morning!"
"It's your fault for waking up late, Kobayashi." Risa answered in a flat tone.
"But it's a Saturday!"
"So?"
"So?!" Hikari repeated in a whining voice. "So I need to sleep at least five hours longer to compensate for the last whole week that I have to wake up early!"
Asuna whacked the back of Hikari's head with her palm. "Stop shouting goddammit! All of us here needs to sleep as much as you do, but you don't hear us complaining about not being able to eat breakfast, do you?!"
Hikari pouted, hand rubbing the part where Asuna hit her. Risa and Kaede just sighed together.
"But I really am hungry." Hikari whined as they descended the stairs. "I'm going to collapse if I don't eat something Kaede-chan!"
"You haven't eaten breakfast, Hikari-chan?"
The soft voice of Yukimura greeted them. The said man is sitting at the couch with the rest of the males, seemingly waiting for them so they can go to the festival together.
And Risa has to say, they really look good. Hands down handsome. Or maybe gorgeous is an even better word.
"Yuki-chan!"
The bluenette chuckled as Hikari flew towards him, arms flailing around her. Catching the girl, Yukimura patted her head gently, ocean-blue eyes laughing at her.
"Mou...I'm so hungry Yuki-chan! And Kaede-chan and Risa-chan and Asuna-chan are being meanies again!" she wailed like a child, drawing amused chuckles from the other males.
Kaede and Asuna weren't so amused.
"Ah..." Yukimura smiled at Kaede, who has her lips in a thin line. "Maybe we can eat somewhere at the campus?"
"Really?!" Hikari exclaimed. "Well, let's go then! What are we waiting for?!"
She then proceeded to pull the laughing Yukimura towards and out of the door, shouting about what she wanted to eat for breakfast and what-not. She sounded like she's planning a whole banquet with the list of foods she's planning on eating.
Risa watches as her cousin followed the two with his eyes. She couldn't understand why Kuranosuke looks almost sad and regretful everytime he sees Hikari-chan and Yukimura-san together.
She knows Hikari-chan and Kuranosuke dated before the girl moved to Okinawa. But that was the gist of it. The next time she asked her cousin about the girl, they already broke up. Was Yukimura-san the reason for the break-up? But...what about Chisa-chan and Kuranosuke? Her cousin seemed too close for comfort to her friend. This is all so confusing...
"Stop frowning and grimacing every five seconds, Shiraishi." Asuna's taunting voice woke her from her stupor. "You look every inch the ugly girl that you are."
"Shut up, Sugimoto. I still have better hair than yours." she retorted without missing a beat.
A chilling glare was Asuna's answer.
"Let's just go please?" Kaede's voice is bordering on pleading. And it's only the morning. How long must she bear this burden?
Fuji chuckled at the resigned look on Furokawa's face. "You all look great today, Furokawa-chan. Shiraishi-chan. Sugimoto-chan." He nodded at each of them.
Risa rolled her eyes, deftly pulling on her own boots. Her pants is acid-blue, with a long-sleeved loose pink shirt; her normal get-up. "If you're fishing for a compliment Fuji-san, you're barking at the wrong tree." She smirked before flicking her hair behind her. "I don't normally give out compliments for free. Throw in some ice cream or cotton candy and maybe you'll get a 'you look good today' line."
Fuji's laugh was light, like a tinkling chime on a summer day. "How about a slice of a blueberry-cheesecake and a strawberry smoothie then?"
"Oh my God. You're the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen!" Risa exclaimed in a mocking excited voice.
Fuji was accompanied by Yagyuu, Yuushi and Jirou, who is staring at the two other girls with a bright smile.
"Why am I surrounded by crazy people?" Kaede asked herself as she watches Risa and Fuji play the bribing game.
Asuna, who was beside her, stared at her with a flat look. "Are you seriously asking me that?"
Kaede sighed in resignation for the umpteenth time that Saturday morning.
They found Hikari and Yukimura at the cafe close to the Engineering department. The girl is currently stuffing her face with as much sugar she can find.
Kaede and Risa dreaded the whole day.
Sugar and Hikari has never been a good combination.
Risa is blaming Yukimura as early as now.
"I'm sure it will be alright, Furokawa-chan." Yukimura said, taking a bite of his own food. "I'll take responsibility if Hikari-chan manages to break anything."
"Hey!" Hikari protested.
"Shut up and just eat Kobayashi." Risa hissed while making sure there aren't any crumbs on her shirt. Giving Kaede a pointed look, she turned to Sanada and Tezuka. "We're supposed to observe right? Want to go around the campus together?"
"Ah."
"Hn."
Fuji and Yukimura chuckled at the annoyed look on Risa's face. "Fine. Goddammit. I seriously don't know how you communicate with your teammates before." she stared at Tezuka. "And I seriously don't know how Chisa-chan can understand you, or have a decent conversation with you. Do you, you know, do sign language?"
Tezuka ignored the amused looks from the other males, and the pointed look from the three other girls. "Hn."
"See? What does that even mean? Hn? Really?" Risa huffed, shuffling on her feet and rolling her eyes. "Whatever. Let's just go. I'll give you a call later Kaede-chan."
"Take care of Tezuka for me, na Shiraishi-chan?" Fuji said in an amused voice. Risa chuckled while mock saluting the Tensai. Sanada glared at Yukimura, who just smiled innocently at him.
They watched as the three walked out of the cafe, with Risa mumbling to herself about having rocks and statues for classmates and housemates. The people seem to make way for them, with two of probably the most popular male student in the campus...and a mumbling beautiful girl.
That really presented a rather scary image.
Shaking her head at Risa's craziness, Asuna poked Jirouh's arm, earning a surprised yelp from him. "Let's go. We have to meet up with the rest of the class, remember?"
Jirou blinked his eyes at him, before his lips formed an 'O'. Asuna rolled her russet eyes at him. "Ah..ha-ha. I almost forgot about that!" turning to his friends, he smiled. "We have to meet up with our class for an activity."
Yuushi nodded his head. "I see. We'll just see you for lunch?"
Jirou tilted his head, a frown on his face. "I'm not so sure about lunch, Oshitari-kun. I'll just send you a message I think."
"Okay."
Turning to the two girls, Jirou grinned. "I'll see you later Kobayashi-san! Furokawa-chan!"
Hikari nodded her head enthusiastically; while Kaede smiled at the narcoleptic. "Ah. Please stop Asuna-chan from killing anybody today."
"Ha-ha! I will Furokawa-chan!"
They all chuckled when Asuna punched his arm before pulling him out of the cafe. Jirou managed to wave at them before they disappeared into the crowd.
Kaede looked around her. Not counting the currently pigging out Hikari, she's the only female left. Yukimura seemed content with just watching Hikari eat.
Yagyuu-san and Yuushi-san are talking about their classes; Fuji and Shiraishi-san are also talking about their plants back in their homes.
It amuses her to hear about the daily lives of her housemates. Having been used to living with females most of her life, Kaede thought that it would be awkward and uncomfortable having males for housemates.
Or maybe they are just lucky. These eight males, in her book, are okay.
True, some of them has some quirks, like Tezuka-san and Sanada-san with their one-word replies, or Yukimura-san and Akutagawa-san's habit of using the honorific 'chan', or Yuushi-san's fascination with legs(well, he's a guy, she deemed it normal at the very least).
Yagyuu-san is the most agreeable out of all of them. The purple-haired male really lives up to his nickname, The Gentleman; Kaede is thankful for that.
Shiraishi-san is mostly okay...if not for the fact that he seem to like bothering Risa-chan far too much. And he also have some 'tense' past with Hikari-chan. That part she still couldn't understand.
And then there's Fuji Shusuke.
He is, for her, an enigma. He seem to show interest on Misaki-chan at their first meeting. And then he suddenly seemed far too much interested at Chisa-chan.
And she gets the feeling that he is always watching her. Don't get her wrong. She is not having any notions of the Tensai being interested at her...at least not in that way.
Rather, she'd put it as, at most-curiosity. yeah, maybe that is the right word. Like as if he's trying to solve a mystery-said mystery being her, Kaede Furokawa.
There were times that she would just find his eyes on her. Those sharp, sapphire eyes-like he is trying to read her.
It's one of the most uncomfortable feeling she has ever had.
She doesn't know what to think of it.
Shiraishi nodded at Fuji, they are currently talking about the Tensai's cactus Michelle..or was it Minari?
He isn't too sure.
Half of his attention is at the eating girl opposite him.
It has always been a treat watching Hikari eat; the way her eyes would lit up in genuine pleasure at every bite, her bulging cheeks (she has never been the most graceful eater) as she stuffs herself with the treats, like a child on a candy store.
Does she still like mango-custard cake? And does she still detest anything tea-related? Does she still eat buttered popcorn dipped in vanilla ice cream whenever she's upset?
He wanted to ask her a lot of things. But he couldn't.
He wouldn't.
It's too much. Just remembering the times when she would look at him with her clear-brown eyes, and not seeing himself in those orbs...How many times did he have to stop himself from shaking her and asking her?
Of asking her just who it is she is seeing.
But he would always stop himself. He just couldn't bring himself to utter those words to her, knowing that it would break her. He cannot do that. Not to Hikari.
Maybe Chisa-chan was right; he is a coward.
A coward for not being able to face the reality that was screaming right in front of his face.
He shook himself of those thoughts. There's a time for that. Right now, all he can do is to hope for the best. Maybe they can be friends once more.
Being friends may be the best thing for both of them.
It is a wonder how Shiraishi-kun can still answer his questions perfectly, Fuji thought as he followed his companion's eye. They landed at the chewing girl on their table.
Ah. Hikari Kobayashi. She seemed to be enjoying herself, not even aware of the palpable tension between Yukimura-kun and Shiraishi-kun. Fuji is willing to bet his cactus collection that the cause of the tension between the two former good friends is the girl herself: Hikari Kobayashi.
Too bad she doesn't even have a sliver of an idea.
But, he smiled to himself, nodding at what Shiraishi-kun was telling him, that's what makes things even more interesting.
Whoaahh!
Too much drama? He he he. There's more coming guys! :D
Next chapter is all about the Festival. We'll see glimpses of the future couples (although some of them are rather obvious right now no?) But still.
As I keep on saying, READ and REVIEW guys!
I'll try to update again before this week ends. (Let's hope the Goddesses of laziness won't visit me during that time :D)
.REVIEW!
Yuna :D
