Disclaimer: I do not own BlazBlue or Akame Ga Kill.
Hey guys! Welcome to the year 2016!
So I've been receiving your reviews, and I'm glad to see that you all enjoyed it.
Yes, I've noticed some of my reviewers are criticizing me for my writing. I apologize, I rushed a bit due to wanting to update this before Christmas, and I was busy at the time.
I've also noticed some of you commenting how I'm making Ragna OP in the story. Well to be honest here people, Ragna isn't exactly OP. There is a difference between being OP and stronger that most fighters. He is just stronger than most fighters in the Akame Ga Kill universe. And like I said before throughout my chapters: this is end-game Ragna. This Ragna has powers that passed his limits and became even stronger. So don't blame me for putting a Ragna that is potentially his end-game from canon.
Also, I apologize for the really long wait. I just hit a roadblock for this story, like my flood of inspiration and want just kind of slowed down. Possibly due to the fact of both RWBY Volume 3 (with me screaming at the end) and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (love the game) that has been occupying me for a while. However, after managing to play a demo of BlazBlue Central Fiction (I have a Japanese cousin who has the game) and reading a particular chapter of Akame Ga Kill that made me drop my jaw, it got me working again.
I also couldn't write due to an unfortunate event that has occurred in my life. My grand uncle (who I saw as a surrogate grandfather) has passed away, so yeah, a lot of things have happened with me and my family. So safe to say, I was occupied with a lot of things (along with dedicating a fanfic to him). May he rest in peace.
Well, enough with the rather long introduction note. I'm sure you guys came here for the chapter. And forgive me if this seems a bit rushed and short, but I just couldn't get through certain parts. Plus, other parts are taking a long time to think about and write, and I'm sure you guys are eager for another chapter. So...this is the best I could offer you.
Chapter 10: Kill the Revelation
(Training Grounds)
A few days have passed since three completed their mission. After accomplishing their mission in assassinating the Three Beasts, the three members of Night Raid returned back to their hideout safely. The others returned back safely as well, content that their mission is accomplished. Though, Bulat was in worst condition due to the battle he went into. So he ended up in the medical bay to recover from his injuries.
Once again, everyone learned of the event between Ragna, Tatsumi, and Bulat against the Three Beasts, and they were surprised to hear that once more, Ragna has managed to once again turn the tides in their favor. What's more, it seems that Ragna took down two of the Three Beasts, while Tatsumi finished off the last one while wearing Incursio, which is also another added surprise to the list.
Speaking of Incursio, an interesting event occurred for the brunette of Night Raid.
(Flashback - Meeting Room)
Everyone stood inside the meeting room with surprised and bewilderment looks on their faces as they witnessed something shocking occur between two certain men of Night Raid. Even Ragna let's his eyebrows raise up in surprise on what he was seeing.
"What do you mean you're not taking it back!?" Tatsumi exclaimed in surprise.
Bulat simply lets out a smile as he shook his head.
"It is what I said Tatsumi. I'm not taking back Incursio. It is now yours." Bulat told him.
That sentence alone is what shocked the Night Raid members. For such a long time, the early members of Night Raid knew Bulat well for his personality, appearance, and strength. What symbolized him was his Incursio alone. To see Bulat let this go was mind boggling to see. They are witnessing Bulat letting go of his iconic image and handing it to Tatsumi.
And most ironically, the first member to break out of her surprise is Sheele herself. The young woman on the wheel chair raised her hand as if she was trying to get some attention.
"H-Hold on a second! I don't understand this at all Bulat! Why are you giving Tatsumi your teigu? Isn't it important to you?" Sheele asked in surprise. The next member to break out of surprise is the leader of Night Raid.
"Sheele has a point. Why have you decided now of all time to give away your teigu?" Najenda asked while giving a quizzical expression.
Tatsumi didn't say anything as he kept staring intently at Bulat, wanting to hear Bulat's explanation. The pompadour man simply lets out a hearty laugh as he scratched the back of his head.
"The thing is, I can't wield Incursio anymore." Bulat announced.
Silence entered the room, before everyone looked at the large man with shock once more, and this time, voicing out their surprise. Though, Ragna just allowed his jaws to slightly drop upon hearing this.
"HUH!?"
'I think my damn ears are starting to hurt...' Ragna mentally commented while picking his ear. He just sighed as he leaned back on the wall as he folded his arms.
"Before we can go into a shouting party, can you at least explain to us why? I mean, I understand that the kid has a lot of potential in wielding Incursio if memory serves me right, but I didn't expect you to say that you can't wield it anymore. What, did something happen between you and your teigu?" Ragna asked with a raised eyebrow.
"His teigu." Bulat corrected, before he looked at Incursio in his hand while letting out a fond smile. "The thing is, Incursio is a bit of a picky chooser, even among most teigu. I know that firsthand that Incursio is not only known for its strength enhancement, defense, and invisibility, but its ability to evolve. It continuously changes and evolves as it put through multiple battles." Bulat explained, making Tatsumi look at the teigu with surprise. This especially made Ragna blink upon this fact.
'It evolves as it is put through multiple battles? Damn, it sounds pretty powerful. That ability alone puts it on par with high level Ars Armagus.' Ragna commented.
Ars Armagus, a level beneath Nox Nyctores, still boast power when used correctly. Examples include Makoto, Kagura, and Tsubaki with her Izayoi. Most Ars Armagus can still go toe to toe with some teigu of this world, and having Ragna compare Incursio to an Ars Armagus is pretty impressive. Though, at its current state, there might be some trouble and time to develop.
"R-Really?" Tatsumi said in surprise as he towards the sword. Bulat nodded at him.
"Yes. When you used Incursio, it has evolved to suit you Tatsumi. It changed its style just to suit you. Even if I were to take Incursio, it wouldn't be possible for me anymore. Incursio wouldn't devolve back to its previous state." Bulat told him, and then decided to give a small smile towards the brunette.
"Besides, I have a feeling Incursio likes its new partner." Bulat said with a knowing tone.
Tatsumi kept looking at the sword with widened eyes, and others looked at Tatsumi with different expressions on their faces. Leone just stepped forward as she simply ringed her arms around Tatsumi's shoulders and more or less press her rather large busom against his head, making Tatsumi snap out of his stare and look at the blonde woman with shock.
"L-Leone?!" Tatsumi squeaked out in surprise. The blonde woman simply lets out a optimistic smile as always.
"Well good for you Tatsumi! Seems like you've just taken another step in becoming closer to a man!" Leone congratulated the young man with a smile, before she looked at everyone around her. "C'mon guys, we should be happy that Tatsumi here is growing, not be depressed over Bulat handing over something to Tatsumi."
"You're right." Akame responded with a nod, and offered the brunette a small smile. "Tatsumi has earned it after all of his hard work for us. He deserves this."
"I'm not really sure about this, but with Bulat explaining why, I suppose I can't help but accept it. I suppose you can't stay an amateur forever." Mine said with a slight skeptical while folding her available arm.
"I'm so happy for you Tatsumi!" Sheele said happily while clapping her hands together.
"Heh heh, you're catching up pretty quickly there. I'm starting to feel a bit behind." Lubbock said while scratching the back of his head.
"Well, I guess I have to respect Bulat's decision in this case. After seeing how hard you've worked, I believe now is the time." Najenda said with a nod.
"What are you waiting for kid? Just take it." Ragna simply said to Tatsumi.
Hearing all these words of encouragement and acceptance from everyone made Tatsumi feel so happy inside, hearing that all of his hard work till now has finally paid off, and he couldn't help but allow a small smile appear on his face. He then looked toward Bulat one last time with a slightly unsure look.
"A-Are you sure bro? I mean, this is something that is a part of you..." Tatsumi said to Bulat.
"I'm sure Tatsumi." Bulat said, as he held out Incursio towards Tatsumi.
Tatsumi looked at the sword before him, before he slowly reached out towards it...
(Reality)
It was known on that day that Tatsumi has inherited Incursio from Bulat. Ever since then, Bulat has taken it upon himself to help Tatsumi train with his newly given Incursio.
It might seem that Bulat might have been weaker without his Incursio, but his skills alone still makes him useful for combat, even against most foes without a teigu. Though, Bulat will be put off from combat that involves teigus, which is understandable considering that most non-teigu fighters lose to teigu wielders, with the exception of Ragna of course.
Currently, there are five assassins out in the training field, each of them fulfilling a certain role. As they were doing so, the door to the hideout suddenly opened with two people emerging from it.
"Anyone here!? I need someone to train with!" Mine shouted while raising up her hand.
"I need to train as well-ah!" Sheele shouted in surprise as she practically tripped over the door's bottom frame and fell face first into the floor. Mine just sweatdropped at her friend's clumsiness, before she looked to see everyone, and has increased her sweatdrop even more upon what she saw.
The males of Night Raid were currently in push up positions, while Akame and Leone sat on their backs. It was a rather strange position, as Akame was sitting on Tatsumi's back while Leone is sitting on Lubbock's back. The two also rested their legs on Bulat's back, who was between the Tatsumi and Lubbock.
It also appeared that both Tatsumi and Lubbock were having quite the workout, as their bodies were both covered in sweat. On the other hand, Bulat was doing push ups at a fast rate, all the while pushing himself to the max like his usual workouts.
"C'mon Tatsumi! Puts some muscle into it! You won't become a man unless you push yourself to the limits!" Bulat told him with an energetic tone, getting a "yes bro!" response from Tatsumi. He then noticed both Mine and Sheele, and gave a greeting smile towards them.
"Oh, you two are okay now!" Bulat said while doing push ups at the same time.
"Heya Mine." Tatsumi managed to breath out before focusing on his push ups.
"So you've recovered. That's good." Akame said with a nod.
"What are you guys doing?" Mine asked, unsure what to make of the situation.
"We're just helping these guys out with their training." Leone simple answered with her usual smile.
"After equipping it, I understand that Incursio consumes an amazing amount of spiritual and physical energy to use. In order for me to able to use it as well as bro, I need to train my body even more...!" Tatsumi said, struggling to get another push up in.
"That's the spirit Tatsumi! C'mon! Let's push our bodies to the limit!" Bulat told Tatsumi while still doing push ups at a rapid pace.
"Please don't say it like that..." Tatsumi groaned, getting an innuendo out of that sentence. Mine also seems to have caught the innuendo, and small pink spots appeared on her cheeks. Sheele, who managed to pick herself up, didn't really get the innuendo out of it. Akame didn't really know either, but Leone had to hold back from laughing out loud. Deciding to get her mind to focus on something else, she turned to the green haired member of Night Raid.
"It's unusual to see you getting sweaty Lubbock." Mine pointed out.
"After seeing three of us guys work our ass off in this group, I can't just stand by and watch them get ahead. So, you know, I got thinking maybe I should start taking things seriously." Lubbock responded.
"Yeah, that sounds cool and all, but you can barely do half as many push-ups as Tatsumi, and barely a quarter to what Bulat is doing." Leone pointed out with a knowing smile, making wire user pout upon the fact.
"That's to be expected." Akame spoke up. "Since there is such a large difference between Leone's weight and mine." Akame pointed out.
At that instant, everyone froze upon what Akame just said. Tatsumi looked horrified, Lubbock looks like he got traumatized, Mine had an expression as if she saw something horrific, Sheele's jaw dropped while she became pale, and Bulat began sweating even more as if it was possible.
It was at that point that everyone except Akame and Leone knew...that she just screwed up.
A loud pounding noise was heard, and it seems to have echoed throughout the area. Akame now stood there while holding her head, tears of pain forming in the corner of her eyes. At the same time, Leone's fist seems to have been smoking upon impact. Both Mine and Sheele silently watched the scene, before they turned to each other and nodded not to comment anything about Leone's weight, unless they want a huge lump on the head.
"Oh, you're all here." Najenda said while making herself known in the training grounds.
"Oh, boss. What's with the get up...?" Tatsumi asked, a bit confused on what Najenda was wearing. She was currently wearing some trench coat while wearing a large backpack.
"Oh, I didn't tell you guys yet? I'm heading out to the Revolutionary Army HQ." Najenda told them.
"What for?"
"I'm going to deliver the three teigu that we managed to confiscate from the Three Beasts." Najenda answered. It was then Tatsumi remembered a certain teigu, and looked towards Belvaac.
"Boss, that axe is unbelievably heavy." Tatsumi pointed out.
"Oh, I can handle this much." Najenda simply responded, and then picked up the axe without any problem, much to Tatsumi's surprise. "See? I wouldn't be able to use it as a weapon, but if it's just carrying it, there's no problem." Najenda said with out any struggle.
"Was boss always this amazing?" Tatsumi whispered.
"Of course! You do know that she's a former general, right?" Lubbock responded back with a whisper.
Even though they have managed to whispered, she seems to have caught onto it and had a pleased expression on her face. She then turned towards Bulat.
"Bulat, I'm leaving you in charge of this place. The standing orders is that everyone has to train." Najenda ordered, making the pompadour man simply give a thumbs up towards the young woman.
"You got it boss!" Bulat responded.
Najenda then proceeded to take out a cigarette box, as to her usual smoking habits. "But there's another reason why I'm heading out to HQ. While our team is quite strong, especially with the addition of Ragna and his powers, I believe there is both strength in both quality and quantity. It doesn't hurt to go out and recruit new members. But more importantly, I would try and see if I could find Bulat any spare teigu that he could use." Najenda announced to the group, making everyone look at their leader in surprise.
"R-Really? Wow, so you have three important to go to HQ. And that's great bro! You'll be able to fight with a teigu again in no time!" Tatsumi said with relief, making Bulat simply smile in response.
"Ha ha ha, well I can't remain out of combat forever, you know? But at the same time, your bro has to train you to use Incursio. Remember that!" Bulat said with a thumbs up.
"Yeah!" Tatsumi responded with a thumbs up. It was then he blinked upon something, as he now realized something or someone is missing.
"Hey, speaking of members, has anyone seen Ragna? I haven't seen him all day." Tatsumi pointed out, making almost all of the Night Raid members realize that Tatsumi was right. They haven't seen their red coated comrade anywhere.
"Tatsumi is right. Where is Ragna anyway?" Leone curiously asked.
As if on cue, the door opened once more, and everyone turned to see their white haired comrade walk outside while carrying a backpack on him as well.
"Hey Najenda, I'm finished with packing up. Are we going now?" Ragna asked his leader. He then turned his head, and raised an eyebrow when he saw the Night Raid members looking at him with surprised expressions. Turning his head towards the boss, he just gave her a questioning look.
"Hey, did you even tell them that I'm leaving with you?" Ragna asked.
"Well, I was about to. But your presence seems to have answered it." Najenda merely told him while shaking her head with a smile.
It was then Night Raid processed on what is going on, and they were surprised to see what Ragna is about to do.
"Ragna!? You're leaving with Najenda!?" Tatsumi exclaimed in surprise. Ragna just scratched the back of his head and simply shrugged.
"Well, yeah. Something about being her bodyguard and seeing HQ." Ragna answered. It was then Najenda decided to explain the details.
"I figured that since you and Ragna are both the newest members of Night Raid, it's only natural to know the group you are fighting with. Although, Tatsumi needs training in order to grow with his Incursio. Ragna, on the other hand, is an experienced fighter through and through. He'll serve as a bodyguard for me just in case the Empire sends someone to get the teigus, as well as meeting the Revolutionary Army so he can know its workings." Najenda explained, making everyone make a sound of understanding and nods.
"Well, that makes sense..." Tatsumi said while he folded his arms.
"D-Damn it, already getting close to Ms. Najenda..." Lubbock muttered while giving a bitter look towards Ragna, though nobody noticed it. It was then Ragna walked towards Tatsumi and simply puts a soft punch on Tatsumi's shoulder.
"You better train hard while we're gone kid. You're going to face a lot more battles in the future." Ragna told him, making Tatsumi nod at him while giving a determined look.
"Right! You got it Ragna!" Tatsumi responded. Ragna gave a small smirk, and turned his head and nodded at Najenda.
"Right. Let's get this show on the road. I want to be back as soon as possible and kill an asshole or two in the Capital." Ragna said as he started walking away with Najenda. Najenda lets out a small smile, and turned towards everyone.
"Train hard everyone. That's an order." Najenda told everyone, making every member responding with "yes boss!" towards her. And with that, the strongest member and leader of Night Raid walked away, leaving the hideout.
When the group watched the two walk away, Sheele then turned towards Tatsumi and offered him a small smile.
"Ah, Tatsumi. Would you mind if I sit on your back while you do push ups?" Sheele asked, making Tatsumi blink upon hearing her request and Mine's eyebrow to twitch a bit.
One thing for sure, it's that the Night Raid will encounter many interesting events to come.
(Road)
Both Ragna and Najenda set off on their horses, going at a steady pace towards their hideout. As they road along the path, Ragna just stayed quiet while looking around, while Najenda just took in the surroundings, and took a quick glance at Ragna once and a while. After staying silent a bit too long, Najenda decided to start up a conversation to get to know him.
"So Ragna..." Najenda called out to Ragna, snapping Ragna out of his silence and turning his attention towards her.
"Yeah?"
"What exactly are your motives for going against the Empire? Everyone in Night Raid has their own purpose in joining the cause. I'm kind of curious about yours." Najenda told Ragna with a curious tone.
"Oh, that?" Ragna said, before he just went into a thoughtful look. "Well...the first thing that comes in mind are the unbearable assholes in the Empire and its government." Ragna stated firstly, making Najenda smile a bit in amusement upon Ragna's answer.
"Really now? No other motives?" Najenda asked, making Ragna simply sigh upon his past experiences with the NOL.
"Well, there is another one, but it's sort of a déjà vu for me. I'm sure I already told you guys I have past experiences of going against corrupt governments. So going against an empire like this isn't much of a new experience for me." Ragna told her, making Najenda nod at him.
"I see. So you already have that sort of feeling or duty in you to stop corrupted governments?" Najenda asked.
"It's on the resume, sure, why not?" Ragna said with a shrug, before he smirked in amusement. "Hey, that sounds like a job fitting for me. A job where you fight and stop corrupt governments. That's one job I won't suck at." Ragna said, making Najenda snort in amusement at this.
"I'll bet." Najenda responded. "You seem to be a veteran if you managed to fight against a corrupt government back at your home town. It's quite reassuring that we have someone like you on our side."
"Well someone has to be." Ragna responded with a shrug. "I can't really stand by while watching all of this shit happen. Someone needs to tear them a new one."
"Indeed." Najenda agreed while nodding. "Speaking of which, I've been a bit curious about something the first day we met." Najenda told him, making the red coated rebel look at her with a raised eyebrow.
"What is it?" Ragna asked.
"If I remember correctly, you told me that I remind you of someone. I believe the name is Bullet?" Najenda asked, making Ragna remember that particular memory he had.
"Oh, right. Well, at first glance, people might mistake you being identical. But if you look real closely, you'll notice the differences." Ragna told his boss.
"I see. So is she a comrade that you worked with in the past?" Najenda asked curiously, making Ragna shake his head.
"No. She is a mercenary I came across while I was working against the corrupt government. Funny enough, she seems to have some form of personal vendetta against the side I was working with." Ragna commented.
"Was she hired by the government?" Najenda questioned.
"No. From what I heard, she is actually searching for two people, one of them on either sides. She was searching for Kokonoe, a professor on our side, and wanted answers from her concerning about a comrade of hers. At the same time, the corrupt government had this masked weirdo named Relius Clover, who was also involved in some sort of event that I don't know of. From what I heard, it involved her squad being destroyed or something." Ragna told her, making Najenda look a bit troubled upon the story she was given.
"I see...It seems that she lost a lot of things in the past." Najenda said while narrowing her eyes.
"I guess you could say that. But knowing her and her personality, she isn't the one to give up so easily." Ragna said.
"You know, I would like to meet this Bullet person. She seems rather interesting. Perhaps hire her for her services?" Najenda asked.
"Unfortunately, her mercenary business isn't active right now. She is still going through some personal goal of hers, so she won't be interested." Ragna told her. 'Along with the fact that she is back in my world.' Ragna mentally added.
"A shame." Najenda said while sighing.
"Eh, it's probably for the best. Bullet is not much of a team player anyways, and I also question on her fashion sense." Ragna absently added the last part with a slightly bothered look. However, it seems that Najenda managed to catch the last part.
"Her fashion sense?" Najenda asked, making Ragna slightly cringe.
"Yeah..." Ragna said while remembering on Bullet's questionable clothing, especially her pants, if they could be called that. There is a reason why he and Taokaka nickname her "butt floss". It's practically non-existent!
"It's best not to know..."
(Elsewhere)
A certain woman in question just sneezed while she was walking through the forest.
"...Why do I have the urge to bash in someone's face and then pull of a Hard Kill Bringer...?" the woman muttered to herself, before she just shrugged.
"Whatever. That cat sure chose a good hiding spot. Won't let her get away this time after the tournament..."
(Reality - Revolutionary Army HQ)
A few days have passed since they made their way towards the Revolutionary Army Headquarters, and they finally managed to do so. When Ragna saw their HQ, it appeared to be nothing more than a large camp site with multiple tents everywhere, and one large tent in the center. And everywhere he looked, it appeared that all the soldiers there were wearing the same uniforms: dark green coats, with white shirts underneath and a black tie to follow.
'Even the rebellion faction has uniform regulations, huh? Seems like a pain in the ass if you ask me.' Ragna thought to himself. His clothes were very easy to breathe and move in. Practical and comfortable is his way to go, unlike the Revolutionary Army, the NOL, and the Empire.
"Well Ragna, I welcome you the the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army. What started off small soon grew into this in a short amount of time." Najenda said with a small smile on her face.
"Well, it's nice to see people are standing up to those assholes. I honestly thought we were doing all the work." Ragna said with a small smirk.
"You shouldn't forget the third force as well. Whoever they are, they are bringing benefits to us, yet caution at the same time."
Her sentence merely made Ragna's smirk grow a bit bigger. 'You're standing right next to "them".'
Deciding not to snark upon her statement, he and Najenda made their way into the Revolutionary Army HQ. As they did, he noticed all of the people in order and busy doing whatever they needed to do, looking at graphs, people sitting at tables discussing strategies, training grounds with soldiers working hard on it, and others just talking about whatever it is that is related to their work.
'This sure brings me back memories...' Ragna thought to himself, remembering back at how busy Sector Seven was, as well the the NOL (despite the fact that all their activities were aimed towards him). Ragna silently sighed to himself, once against letting the sights remind him of his home.
'Damn, it's one nostalgic memory after another...' Ragna thought to himself.
He and Najenda soon approached the front of the tent which was slightly bigger than the other tents. The silver haired woman turned her purple eyes towards Ragna.
"This is the meeting room. The others are expecting me, so I won't be out for a while. In the mean time, can you hand these teigus to the armory? I'm sure they're waiting for these weapons to come into their hands and learn on how to use them." Najenda told him.
"Sure, it's not like I have anything else better to do." Ragna answered with a shrug while taking the backpack from her.
"All right then. See you in a few hours Ragna."
"Later Najenda."
(Later)
After a trip towards dropping of the teigu at the armory, Ragna had nothing else to do other than wander around the HQ. He had a slightly bored look on his face as he walked around.
'Well I'm bored as shit. Isn't there any other crap to do around here?' Ragna wondered to himself, before felt a thud on his body, as well as small startled noise to be made. He looked down, only to see a young woman sitting on the ground.
This young woman had pale skin, auburn hair, and red eyes. She wore a butterfly headphone accessory on her head. She wore a vocalist-like clothing consisting of a white long sleeve shirt with the collar tied with a red ribbon under a black vest a red checkered mini skirt, and black leather below-the-knee boots. And for some reason, she had a lollipop in her mouth.
Ragna's eyebrow immediately twitched when he saw the woman's features similar to Celica, but immediately noticed hair style and clothing differences. Ignoring his quick comparison, Ragna saw that he was at fault for allowing this young woman to fall on her butt.
"Sorry. Wasn't looking where I was going." Ragna told her, offering a hand up. The girl took his hand and stood up.
"Eh, no worries. I was busy thinking about other things to." the girl said while waving it off. She then looked at Ragna, and squinted her eyes a bit when she saw his style of clothing. "Are you...perhaps new here?" the girl asked.
"Technically speaking, this is my first day here. But I have joined you guys about a few weeks ago." Ragna answered.
"First day here, but you joined us weeks ago...ah, you're a member of Night Raid." the girl said with recognition.
"Yep, that's me alright." Ragna said with a nod, before he raised an eyebrow at her. "How'd you figure it out?"
"Well to be honest, you stick out like a sore thumb within this area." the girl told him bluntly while playing with her lollipop, making Ragna's eyebrow twitch upon hearing this. He wasn't bothered by the fact. No, it was more of the fact that this reminded him of how he gave no shits in walking in public back in his world while having the world's highest bounty on him.
Well, nobody would mess with him, considering he is the Grim Reaper. It's not for show.
"Second, you're not wearing the uniforms like everyone else here. Granted, there are a few people within this camp who wear their own clothing, with me serving as a perfect example." the young woman said while presenting her attire.
"No doubt there."
"And third, I almost know everyone here due to my specialty. I have to, otherwise spies would be running around in the Revolutionary Army. Granted, there haven't been none, but it still doesn't hurt." the auburn haired girl said to him.
"Well, you bring up damn good points, I'll give you that." Ragna responded.
"It's all part of my charm." the girl said while giving out her usual smile. "So what's your name red coated stranger?" the girl asked.
"Ragna. Ragna the Bloodedge. And yours?" Ragna asked.
"My name is Chelsea. Hope we get along well, fellow assassin. Lollipop?" Chelsea offered as she held out a candy on a stick.
"Eh, I'm not in a mood for sweets, so I'm going to have to turn down your offer." Ragna declined. "However, if you're going to give sweets to someone, I would suggest giving it to a girl named Akame. She loves food." Ragna told her.
"I'll keep that in mind." Chelsea said as she pocketed her candy. "So what brought you here Ragna? Interested in fighting in the front lines?" Chelsea asked curiously.
"Eh, not really. I just came here to get to know the place, as well as serving as Najenda's bodyguard in order to protect her and the teigus she is transporting." Ragna answered.
"Oh, the new teigus? Sounds rather promising for us." Chelsea said with a nod, before she looked at the surroundings before her. "And it's something we need right now." Chelsea commented.
Ragna turned his head towards the direction Chelsea is facing, and he narrowed his eyes when he noticed the air around the headquarters.
The one thing Ragna noticed is that the morale here is not as lively as it is. He noticed the soldiers either sulking around by sitting on the ground or leaning against objects, and others looking troubled and stressed over something. And seeing something like this affecting soldiers at this scale is something that needs to be taken care of quickly. Otherwise, things won't look so bright for the soldiers here.
"The hell happened...?" Ragna quietly asked him, wondering on what made the soldiers like this.
"Ah, that's right. You just arrived here, and the outcome of this event is recent as well." Chelsea said, noting Ragna's noticing of the soldiers. "Well, would you like a short version, or the long one? I must warn you though, listening to this story might accelerate your age if your hair indicates anything." Chelsea said with a sly smile.
"Hey, I'm in my mid-twenties damn it!" Ragna responded with an annoyed tone.
"Of course of course, that's what all the elderly say. Don't worry, I'm sure it's just a phase you're going through." Chelsea said with an accepting tone, making Ragna look at her with twitching eyebrows.
'Not even 10 minutes with her and she's already pissing me off...' Ragna thought while being irked by this girl already. And he thought Mine was the annoying one.
But at the very least, neither Mine or Chelsea are at the level of Luna. At least this one has manners...sort of.
"Just tell me the damn story before I end up forcing it out of you." Ragna responded bluntly.
"Woah there, you're a violent man, aren't ya?" Chelsea asked with a sly smile.
"You have no idea." Ragna responded cooly. Chelsea then puts up her arms in a placating gesture.
"Alright alright, let's all cool here. No need to get so worked over it." Chelsea said while letting a pleasant smile appear on her face.
'Even though you're the one who started it?' Ragna pointed out flatly in his mind, and didn't even bother in indulging her any further by not saying anything and narrowing his eyes at her.
Seeing the silence she is receiving from Ragna, she pouts at his silent treatment. "You're no fun. Fine, I'll tell you the story. Could've said please to make things easier..."
Not even a day at headquarters, Ragna the Bloodedge already found himself being pissed off.
(Meeting Tent)
Najenda sighed tiredly as she exited the meeting tent. The meeting she had with the other important members of the Revolutionary Army was a rather long one, and was met with unpleasant news.
She recently learned that the Empire's outpost in the outer lands delivered rather serious damages to their forces. The Revolutionary Army, while building up their forces, decided that they'll help their soldiers gain experience in battle by taking down the outpost and control centers in the outer lands. However, when they decided to do so, they were met with unexpected factors.
When their squadron attacked an outpost, they were all caught off guard when the outpost had a soldier with a teigu that turned the tides against them. They suffered heavy losses, and most of the squad that escaped were injured.
Seeing this heavy loss also resulted in a major consequence to their morale as well. Many of the soldiers, while motivated to stop the Empire and its corrupted ways, were troubled and stressed.
Najenda narrowed her eyes as she walked, seeing how this is happening to their forces.
'While we're making progress, it isn't good that we're already meeting some losses...' Najenda thought to herself. 'With rumors of the Empire gaining this special police squadron designed specifically to to stop us, Esdeath coming back to the Capital, and an outpost that delivered hefty damage truly make things harder from here on.' Najenda thought while troubled by this.
However, in a short moment, she shook her head.
'No, it isn't good if I begin worrying over this. There are setbacks, but I believe we can persevere with this. This only requires time, patients, and effort if we want to go through.' Najenda thought to herself, and then nodded.
'Right. We also have Ragna, quite possibly the strongest member of Night Raid, and possibly the Revolutionary Army, but that's probably just a bit of exaggeration there. But still, having Ragna on our side gives us a push in our favor.' Najenda thought to herself, before she realized something.
"Speaking of which, I wonder where he is?" Najenda said to herself, looking around. She highly doubted she can find Ragna easily in this spot, considering the man probably went off in some random direction to get to know the headquarters.
"Well, I'm sure I'll run into him eventually." Najenda said to herself as she walked off to take care of some errands.
(With Ragna)
"I honestly don't understand why you're going there. We already have enough scouts and reconnaissance as it is." Chelsea commented while raising her eyebrow as she watched Ragna climb onto a horse.
"Don't worry. I'll be back before you know it. I won't be gone that long." Ragna said as he straightened himself on the horse.
"What are you even going to do anyway once you get there?" Chelsea questioned. It was then Ragna gave out a smirk.
"Oh nothing. Just though I'd bring some change."
They don't know what will hit them. For the Empire and the Revolutionary Army.
And that's a wrap to this chapter!
Yes yes, it is rather short, but this is all I could offer you guys without leaving you in the dark for so long. However, the future chapters are well in development. Think of this like a mini-arc for Ragna to have.
And now, to answer your questions, concerns, and your usual request to me.
(Ragna and Esdeath)
Oh hoh man, did I get a lot of demands and requests over these. Everyone wanting Esdeath to fall in love with Ragna, just because they want a deja vu to happen again (looking at you Jin and Nu). Well my dear readers, allow me to answer all of your demands.
It's not going to happen. Both realistically in the story, and in my opinion.
Before you guys go off shouting any protests or how much of a pairing killer I am, let me tell you this.
Does Ragna fulfill all the requirements in Esdeath's list?
If I remember correctly from Esdeath's list, it reads (from the manga):
1) He must be above all and possess a deep well of untapped ability. I wish to mold him into a person of general class abilities.
2) He must be fearless; a person who can hunt the most dangerous species of the world with me.
3) He must not been raised near the Capital. Just like me, who has been raised on the outskirts of the Empire.
4) He must be under my direct control, so he must be younger than me.
5) He must have a pure and innocent smile.
For the first condition, Ragna has already reached his maximum potential and ability. So Esdeath cannot really shape him into general class abilities. So that's a fail.
The second and third condition applies to Ragna, considering his personality and background.
The fourth condition. This is a bit tricky, but after finding out that Esdeath is in her early 20s (meaning she is under 25 years old). Meanwhile, Ragna has no confirmed age, but I assume he is in his early 20s as well or mid twenties at most. But comparing their height differences, with Esdeath being 170 cm tall and Ragna being 185 cm tall, I'm just going to assume that Ragna is a year or two older than Esdeath. So he fails the fourth condition.
The fifth condition. Yeah, it's not really going to happen. Sure, Ragna can smile, but does he even show that "pure" and "innocent" smile? The guy mostly frowns or smirks. And even when he does smile, his lips mostly smile, but not really that much teeth. And Ragna lost that "pure" and "innocent" smile the moment Terumi ruined his life.
Ragna fails about 3 (2 if there is confirmed information that Ragna is younger than her) conditions for being considered Esdeath's lover.
Do you guys still want to argue with me on that? Because if so, you'll be arguing against the manga itself.
That's my answer to your demands. I'm sorry, but this is my story to write.
(Tatsumi keeps Incursio)
I bet a lot of you guys were hoping that Tatsumi keeps Incursio. Well, there you have it. Tatsumi is keeping Incursio.
I've decided that in order to have Tatsumi keep the Incursio, I needed a reason why. After much digging around and hypothesizing about the Incursio, I've decided to go with this (SPOILER ALERT):
Since many Akame Ga Kill characters state that the flesh inside Incursio is still alive, and the fact that recent chapters show Incursio taking over Tatsumi's body, I see the Incursio as a partial sentinent weapon (as if that wasn't obvious enough). Incursio evolves and changes. I highly doubt it will revert back to its previous state, when it found newfound potential in Tatsumi.
(SPOILER END)
So there you have it. Tatsumi keeps Incursio.
(Bulat)
This is something I planned since I begun the story, and it is something I planned out for you guys to decide.
I'll be honest here. I absolutely have no idea what kind of Teigu Bulat will get. However, I have you guys to help. You all have imagination, right? If that is the case, then you guys can submit in teigus that are imagined by you and you alone.
There are a few requirements when submitting the teigu that you made:
a) It has to be balanced. It can't be OP as hell or it can't be as weak as shit. Giving me a teigu that is too OP will just ruin the story, or a teigu that is too weak will just make Bulat look pathetic, and I don't like that.
b) Make sure the concept is acceptable and logical. It can be an elemental teigu for all I care, or some kind of concept like manipulating sound. Just make sure it's not too complicated or too simplistic.
c) No outside anime/manga elements or weapons are allowed to be submitted. Examples include: The Seven Swords from Naruto, Excalibur from Fate/Stay Night, ARM from Marchen Awaken Romance, etc. If you so much as submit in some sort of ability or weapon from another anime/manga, it is rejected. HOWEVER, I will accept teigus based off of the concepts of said anime/manga weapons and powers. At least try to make it look unique.
d) It's not much of a requirement, but more of a suggestion. Armor teigus are highly recommended for this, so that's a start for you guys. I can accept other teigus like swords or whatever. But armor teigus are highly recommended.
With those given requirements, I bid you all good luck, and take your time.
OR
You can point out a canon teigu and explain why Bulat should use it.
Trivia: Did you know that both Bulat and Ragna are both the same height? They're both 185 cm tall, or 6'1 feet tall.
Read and...wait, one more scene?
(Special Force Meeting Room)
Wave is a young man who fights for justice, peace, and the people. He fought pirates and sea monsters during his time in the Imperial Navy, and he was content with his military duty. It was much to his joy and elation that he is told that he will join a special police squad of the Empire. Seeing the promotion and opportunity before him, he happily accepted.
He had so many expectation when he was on his way to join this special police squad. He expected to fight alongside professional soldiers and even those cool top notch elites who will probably show him the ropes. He expected to hunt down the criminals and scum of the Empire, bringing justice to them and the innocents. He expected a normal yet exciting time in the capital with his comrades.
Too bad reality just broke his expectations like a boulder crushing an egg.
The moment he came to the meeting room, he was met with the sight of a rather horrific looking man. He wore some kind of mask that covered his face and entire head. He is entirely shirtless, but had long gloves. He also appeared to have 3 scars on his upper chest.
Wave's first thoughts upon the man was downright scary and expected the man to be a member of the torture first told himself that he came to the wrong room, but after confirming that it is the room, he was already at wit's end after staying in the same room with the man.
Just before he could get let his anxiety get the best of him, another person entered the room, this time looking more normal looking than the masked man, much to Wave's relief. This time, it's a young teenage girl. She has short black hair in a twintail style and black eyes. She wears a black sailor uniform and a wears a red belt that has a red side skirt cover. She also wears red gauntlets, long black socks, and black shoes.
When Wave tried to introduce himself to the girl, he was only given the response of the girl hogging the candy to herself, making Wave have impressions of her being strange to.
So Wave had to endure being stuck in a room with two people that he thought of strange.
But it just didn't stop there.
Few minutes after, the doors have slammed open and flower petals just flowed into the room. When Wave saw the man entering the room, he soon felt worried that he might be hit on, due to the man's vibes just screaming "homo". And he felt even more horrified when the man seems to have taken an interest in him and his looks.
But his stress was soon relieved when a blond young man named Run entered the room and actually introduced himself normally and politely. This made Wave very happy to see that he isn't the only normal member in this particular squad.
And things became even better when the masked man named Bols has introduced himself in a rather bashful manner, stating that he gets a bit nervous around strangers and didn't quite speak up after a bit. So Wave saw Bols as that nervous nice guy, which is a nice add.
But it soon ended when some masked woman came in the room, accused them of not being the so called members, and then proceeded to assault then, with him being the first target unfortunately. Then some crazy battle ensued with all the members attacking and defending themselves from the masked woman. But it shortly ended after the black haired girl managed to cut the mask, revealing the face of the assaulter.
The assaulter appeared as a tall and slender woman with long light blue hair and blue eyes. She wears a General's apparel with long sleeves, a blue scarf on her neck, and high-heeled boots. She also has a tattoo on her chest.
And it turned out that the violent attacker turned out to be their leader, much to Wave's ire of hoping to finding another normal person in this weird squad.
"You're all quite impressive. It seems that all of you are quite deadly in some ways and...some a bit lacking, but I can work with it." Esdeath said with a small smile as she looked at the group before her, but then blinked a bit when she noticed something in the room.
"That's strange, I thought there were going to be six people in the room." Esdeath commented. "It appears out last member appears to be late..."
Just as she finished her sentence, another voice enters the room.
"Ah! Are introductions over so soon? Oh dear, this doesn't look quite good for me..." spoke a voice with a bit of a worried tone.
Everyone turned their heads towards the door, and soon found a figure entering the room.
As soon as Wave saw him, he had this chill run up his spine, and his senses immedeatly told him that the man he is facing is dangerous alone in presence.
"Hoh? So you're our last member?" Esdeath asked as she puts a hand on her hip. The man simply lets out an apologetic smile.
"My apologies for arriving so late. I simply had a tough time navigating my way around this place. It could seriously have a map for more conveniences." the man simply replied. Esdeath simply raised an eyebrow at the man, before she just gave her usual smile towards the man.
"Well now, we're not that far off of introductions. Why not introduce yourself now before we move on?" Esdeath said to the man.
"Oh, of course." the man said, before taking off his fedora and bowing down.
"My name is Hazama, member of the Intelligence Department. It's all nice to meet you."
...Yeah. I just went there. Surprise!
