HAI.
I'm back.
Ohyes.
So, I've been really busy, blabeebla there's more information on why I've been so inactive on my latest update of Twisted.
Here's another chapter for ya.
CAUSE I CAN.
Maplefeather stretched elegantly, lifting from her nest. She padded outside, then called for Cardinalpaw. Sure enough, here he came, scampering with an energy that Maplefeather had recently been lacking.
"Ready for my huntin' lesson!" he mewed with spite.
Maplefeather sighed. "Come on, then." She trudged to the entrance, her paws dragging.
Cardinalpaw stood still. "What happened?" he asked suddenly.
Maplefeather looked back at him. "What are you talking about, Cardinalpaw?" she asked, annoyed.
Cardinalpaw frowned. "You've been really groggy and depressed, lately."
Maplefeather gave a "humph". "The only groggy and depressed one of us will be you if you don't get your tail out the entrance." She shoved a paw at the heather barrier, referring to where she wanted Cardinalpaw to go.
Cardinalpaw blinked. "You're not acting like you used to."
Maplefeather groaned, disappearing out the entrance and emerging through the other side. Cardinalpaw would follow at some point. Count on my own apprentice to try getting up in my business. She sniffed for prey. Scenting a rabbit, she crouched. Her gaze raked the moor hills, and finally, she spotted the bobbing ball of fluff.
She raced after the rabbit. Its head flew up when she was three fox-lengths away. The ears of the creature swiveled rapidly, and it bolted. Maplefeather gave chase, pursuing the rabbit as they raced through tall, yellow grass, and over rolling hills. She was glad as they raced toward ThunderClan territory, since the stream that marked the border between their Clan and WindClan's would trap the rabbit if she couldn't catch it before they got there.
Just as they were flooding down another hill, Maplefeather felt a painful contraction. She went sprawling, tumbling down the side of the hill as she stumbled. The rabbit disappeared down a slope. Maplefeather growled in frustration, struggling to her paws. What was that? she wondered. She began padding back. Suddenly, she bumped into Cardinalpaw.
"There you are!" she exclaimed. "Where have you been?"
Cardinalpaw didn't move or blink. He didn't even answer the question. "I saw what happened."
Maplefeather's gaze hardened. "You saw what happen?"
Cardinalpaw sighed. "Why'd you fall?"
Maplefeather froze. "What do you mean?"
"Why'd you fall?" he repeated.
Maplefeather shuffled her paws. "I… hurt my paw."
"I didn't see any of your paws roll or twist," he declared.
Maplefeather sighed. "I had a stomach pain." She looked at her paws. "I don't know why."
Cardinalpaw didn't hesitate. "I do. News travels, Maplefeather. You're expecting kits."
LAZY.
JUST LAZY.
SO SHORT. NO ACTION. NO DRAMA.
The story has become repetitive xD there's no real plot, and it's basically all about how scared Mapley is and how angry she is at Lionel.
Yeah.
They have nicknames.
Anyways, I'll update as soon as possible, blablabla…
Rainy, out!
