So I have nothing even remotely interesting to say right now. So on that note, enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 9

Hidan lowered his face to Hinata's and pressed his lips against hers for a kiss. He heard her moan softly as his tongue snaked its way into her mouth, causing him to smirk into the kiss. His hand was still on her breast, groping it lustfully. He noticed her nipple hardening through her clothing, making him even more aroused. Hinata gently broke the kiss, then threw her head back in pleasure as Hidan pinched her nipple.

"Hidan," she murmured almost breathlessly, reaching up to cup his face in her hands.

The silver-haired man gazed down at her bloody face, stroking her cheek with his index finger. "You're so fucking beautiful..."

He kissed her again and began to rub his lower regions against hers. Hinata arched her back, whimpering quietly as he continued to tease her. She lifted her head slightly to kiss him again, giving his lower lip a playful nibble. Hidan slipped his hand up her shirt, his fingers traveling over her warm, bare skin. He felt her shudder beneath him just as he reached her breast. Tracing the cups of her bra with his fingertips, he heard Hinata gasp softly from the light touches. Just as he was about to brush his thumb against her nipple, he felt his cell phone vibrating in his back pocket. Cursing, he sat up and pulled his phone out, clearly infuriated over the interruption. He gazed down at the lovely young woman lying under him, barely able to keep himself from violently taking her right then and there.

"The fuck do you want, Kakuzu!? I was in the middle of something," Hidan snarled into the phone, wanting to kill his partner.

"Pein just called us in for a meeting. Drop whatever the hell it is that you're doing and be here within an hour," Kakuzu told him, not listening to the younger man's complaints.

Hidan snorted with contempt. "And why the fuck didn't that dickhead call me himself?"

"Because he didn't want to listen to your annoying griping. Now shut up and get your ass down there." Kakuzu ended the call before Hidan could respond.

"That fucking bastard," he growled, getting off of Hinata before gently pulling her off the desk. "As much as I fucking hate this and want to kill that son of a bitch, I have a damn meeting to go to. But don't think that I'm done with you," he added with a seductive grin as he brushed his lips against her forehead.

Hinata flashed him a half-smile. "Alright. It's probably better if we get out of here anyway."

"Before we do, why don't we leave a message?" Hidan suggested deviously.

"What do you mean by that?" Hinata asked, frowning incredulously.

Instead of responding, her lover pulled another knife out of his coat and walked over to Sato's corpse. He jammed the blade into the dead man's eyes, destroying them in a bloody mess. Hinata watched with mild revulsion, intrigued at the same time. Hidan then crudely sawed through Sato's neck, splattering himself with even more blood. Once he had finished decapitating Sato, he picked up the severed head by its hair and turned to leave the room. Hinata followed him, her lavender eyes narrowed in curiosity. What exactly was he up to?

Hidan walked into the kitchen, where he proceeded to place the head in the center of the table. With a low chuckle, he grabbed two plates from a drying rack and put them onto the table as well. He then set up two place settings of silverware, before noticing a bowl of fruit on the counter. Hinata raised an eyebrow as he grabbed an apple and stuffed it into the gaping mouth of Sato's head.

"There," Hidan said with a cruel laugh. "I think that'll get the point across."

"And what point would that be?" Hinata couldn't help but find the sight to be rather amusing. Men like Sato didn't deserve to die with any dignity, in her opinion.

Hidan shrugged carelessly. "I dunno. Don't piss us off? I just wanted to have a little more fun before we left. And fuck, was it worth it. Now let's get the hell outta this shithole."

He tugged Hinata to follow him, and the two of them swiftly exited the house into the night. Carefully eying their surroundings, the pair hurried to Hidan's car and drove away from the neighborhood. Hinata comfortably sat back in her seat with a dreamy smile on her face. She didn't seem to notice Hidan's excessive speed or the sharp turns he took. Instead, she merely gazed out the window, her heart beating with sheer happiness. After fifteen years, she had finally killed one of the men responsible for her parents' deaths. One down and one to go. However, the second man would be a bigger challenge to dispose off. Crime bosses usually had several bodyguards at a time, so in order to get to Kobayashi, Hinata would have to slaughter her way through his subordinates first. That job would require something more than just a simple switchblade.

"I gotta get to that stupid fucking meeting," Hidan grumbled. "So I won't be able to drop you off at your house first."

"It's fine," Hinata murmured, still gazing out the window as they sped down the road. "I don't mind waiting."

The older man glanced over at her and smirked. "So, how good did it feel to kill that motherfucker? Felt great, didn't it? I sure as hell enjoyed my part of the job."

"I don't think you have any idea just how happy I am right now." Hinata looked over at him with her pearly lavender eyes. "At this point, all I have to do is track down that other guy." Her smile slowly faded. "But...he'll be more difficult to deal with."

"You didn't seem to have much trouble with that Sato fucker, so how bad can that other guy be?" Hidan asked, reaching over to casually grab onto one of her breasts, irritated that he hadn't been able to take her on the desk like he had originally wanted. "Who the fuck is the other guy exactly?"

His lover was silent for a minute, and when she finally spoke, there was a quiet hollowness in her soft voice. "Kobayashi Mitsuru."

Hidan slammed on the brakes, his arm protectively in front of Hinata to keep her from hitting the dashboard. He looked over at her, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You're shitting me, right? You're going after Kobayashi?"

"You seem to surprised. Do you know him?" Hinata asked flatly.

The silver-haired man snorted. "Don't know that asshole personally, but I know that he's on Pein's shit list and I've heard plenty of crap about him, too. Are you really going after that motherfucker?"

"He's responsible for what happened fifteen years ago, so obviously I'm going to try to find the bastard," she replied as he resumed driving.

"First off, he's damn near impossible to track down," Hidan told her. "He never stays in the same spot for too long so by the time anyone comes close to catching up to him, he's already fucking gone. And second, he'll have a shit ton of people protecting his ass. You're gonna need a fucking miracle to catch up to him."

Hinata didn't respond, dropping her gaze and looking away from him. As much as she hated to admit it, he was right. After all, she'd been lucky to have been able to catch up to Sato, but Kobayashi was in a whole different league. Confronting him would be no simple task.

Hidan wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, ignoring the speed limit signs as he raced past them. "Hey, it'll be hard to find that fucker, but if you do, you know I'll be more than happy to help."

Instead of replying, Hinata simply rested her head on his shoulder. For the time being, she would bask in the joy of having eliminated at least one of her targets. With a content sigh, she closed her eyes and drifted off as they continued towards Hidan's destination.

Forty minutes later, Hidan reached the Akatsuki base and parked his car on the side of the building. He glanced over at Hinata, who was still dozing against his shoulder. With a smirk, he tilted her face up and planted a soft kiss on her lips. Hinata moaned quietly into the kiss, tired from the day's events.

"I'll be back in a little while. These stupid meetings usually only take about twenty minutes or so," Hidan told her, tucking a lock of dark hair behind her ear. "So just rest in the car until I get back, okay? Sorry to make you fucking wait. I'm gonna bitch Pein out for this..."

Hinata shook her head, unfazed. "Don't worry about it. Take your time."

With an annoyed groan, Hidan exited the car as Hinata reclined her seat back to get more comfortable. He eyed her lustfully, making a mental note to have his way with her before the night ended.

"Stupid fucking meeting. Stupid fucking Pein," he grumbled as he walked into the building. "Waste of time..."

Hidan walked down a hallway and entered the room where Pein normally held the meetings. Waiting there were the other members of the Akatsuki, all of whom were seated around a long rectangular table.

Pein quirked an eyebrow. "Glad to see you could join us, Hidan."

"Eh, fuck off," the silver-haired man huffed as he plunked his ass down onto an empty chair. "I made it in time, didn't I?"

"Yeah, by a minute," Deidara quipped.

Hidan simply flipped him off, a bored look on his face as he waited for the meeting to begin.

"I'll make this quick," Pein said, sitting back in his chair. "I don't know if I've stressed enough of just how secret I intend to keep this organization. That being said, anyone who finds out about the Akatsuki must be eliminated." His eyes shifted back to Hidan. "Even if that someone happens to be resting in your car."

Hidan scowled. "What are you fucking getting at?"

"Kakuzu informed me about your...friend. I understand that she apparently knew what she doing when you decided to bring her along on your mission. However, letting any outsider know about the Akatsuki is strictly prohibited. Letting one tag along with you is downright outrageous."

"Who the fuck cares?" Hidan crossed his arms over his chest defiantly. "Sure, she's not part of the Akatsuki, but there's no way I would've brought her along if I didn't trust her. She does the same shit that we do, only she doesn't work for anyone in particular. And if you have a problem with her being in my car then that's your fucking problem. I would've dropped her off but somebody decided to be a bitch and announce a meeting without giving much of a fucking heads up. It's not like I brought her in."

Pein was quiet for a moment, though he seemed to be contemplating. "She sounds as though she may be useful to us. Keep an eye on her for now, Hidan. I may want to speak with her in the near future."

Hidan snorted. "And why the fuck should she? I doubt she wants anything to fucking do with you or whatever it is that your plotting in that fucked up head of yours. And she's resting right now...so no."

"Not now," the red-haired leader growled. "Another time. Don't worry, I won't do anything to her. I just want to...talk..."

Feeling agitated, Hidan rose. "Are we fucking done yet or can I leave already? This shit is pissing me the fuck off."

"You're all dismissed," Pein said. "Carry on with your current missions."

"You know, you could've just fucking called me on my damn phone instead of having me come all the way here just to have a thirty second conversation," Hidan snapped. "And why did you bother calling these fuckers over, too?"

"I wanted the others here," Pein calmly explained, his face remaining emotionless. "They need to know the risks of letting others find out about us. If that girlfriend of yours proves to be untrustworthy or tries to threaten us, I will have her eliminated. This isn't some after-school social club I'm running here, Hidan. This is an bounty hunting business. If she becomes a threat, don't think I'm joking when I say I'll have her killed. I'll do whatever it takes to keep this organization running."

The silver-haired man growled, his eyes narrowing. "If you hurt her, I'll fucking kill you myself. She hasn't done anything wrong. I fucking dragged her out."

"Then I will have you killed as well if it comes to it," Pein answered, before letting a brief smile flash across his lips. "But as I said, she could be helpful to our cause. So for now, you may continue with whatever it is that you are doing with her. Just make sure she doesn't cross the line."

Hidan exited the building and went over to the passenger side of his car, where he could see his sleeping lover through the window. When he opened the door, Hinata stirred awake, rubbing her tired eyes.

"That was quick," she commented, glancing at the clock. "You were only in there for a few minutes..."

"Yeah, these things don't last long." Hidan slid into the driver's seat started the engine, leaning over to give her a kiss on the forehead. "Pein's just an annoyance half the time."

"I see."

Hidan decided not to mention the fact that Pein wanted to meet her. Or threatened to have her killed for that matter. That could wait until another time. He simply didn't want to stress her out when she'd already had a long night. Plus, it would probably ruin the mood for the sex that he'd been hoping to get once they'd returned to Hinata's house.

Meanwhile

"This is fucking messed up. Who the fuck would've done this?" A young man with black hair stared at the severed head on the kitchen table. "This isn't random. Someone obviously had a personal vendetta against Keiichi. What do you think, Boss?"

Kobayashi Mitsuru exhaled, a cloud of smoke billowing from his mouth as the ashes from his cigar fell to the floor. "Seems like the case. Not only did they cut his fucking head off, but then they had the audacity to make it into a joke." He looked unfazed as he stared at the apple that had been stuffed into Sato's mouth.

"And what about Kohta?" Another man asked warily. "He was fucking pinned to the wall! And what was with that weird fucking symbol in the middle of the room?"

"There is an answer to every question," Kobayashi said with a smirk. "The only trick is to find the correct answer. Sometimes it's in an area that you would never think to look in." He walked over the wall, gazing at the clock that was hanging on a hook.

The first man frowned in confusion. "Well, how are we gonna figure out who did it? You want me to do a forensics scan? Or pay the cops to do the work for us?"

"No...I don't think that'll be necessary. Don't involve the cops." Kobayashi pulled the clock off the wall, his smile growing wider. "A few months back I gave this to Keiichi as an early birthday present. He's dead now, but I'm sure it'll be useful to us right now."

"What are you talking about, sir?" the second man asked. "What's so useful about a clock?"

"You'll see," Kobayashi replied vaguely, a twisted grin slowly spreading across his face.

And that is the end of this chapter. So review please and the next chapter will be out somewhere within the next week. Or two...
