Kayla couldn't sleep that night. Her best friend, the boy she had promised to protect, she had probably lost. She felt ashamed of herself. If she did lose him, it would be her fault as she did promise to look after him like a sister. That stupid ghost, Morro, was going to pay! She jumped out of bed, put on her ninja suit and ran into the weaponry room where she picked up her katanas and then started training. She wouldn't usually train this early but this was for Lloyd. She needed to safe him. To prove that she was worthy of being a ninja. To show she was worthy of protecting the green ninja. She sighed, putting down her katanas and slumping down onto the ground, hugging her knees. "I will NOT give up on Lloyd..." She murmured as she looked into the night sky. Suddenly, she got an idea. She smirked, "Watch out Morro, cuz here I come..."
Morro looked down at the girl, stupidly stood around waiting for him, waiting to fight him, in fact. Alone. As soon as Ghoultar told him about her searching for him, he knew he could not miss this. Not if it meant maybe destroying one of the ninja. So, he waited until her back was turned and then snuck up behind and pushed her the ground. She let out a screech as she looked up at the black haired version of her best friend. He was pointing a serif down out her and was smirking. She grunted. "Let...me...go!" She screamed. He just laughed. "As if I'll let you go!" He was frowning now. She sighed, "Fine then. Don't release me. Release Lloyd! Or fave the consequences." He rolled his eyes, "What sort of consequences?"
"Ones like these." She kicked him in a very unfortunate place for him, making him shriek and fall to his knees. She slipped free, jumped to her feet, grabbed him by the hem of his shirt and pushed him against the wall. "Who's laughing now?" She raised an eyebrow. He frowned. "Fine. You win." He pushed her hand away. "Perhaps we can make a bet?" "Oh?"
"Look, I want to be the green ninja. And so do you..."
"I would much rather have Lloyd as the green ninja than me or you! Destiny chose him. And there's nothing you can do about it." Morro just stared at her, blinking. "I didn't even finish...but...it sounds like you've got the idea." She nodded. "Well...there's not much to say really. Do you have a crush on Lloyd or something? Cuz you seem extremely protective over him?" She blushed, "Ew! No! Lloyd's my best friend! He's like a brother to me! Not a boyfriend!"
"Shame if you do...And here I was starting to think we could have some sort of relationship ourselves." It took her a minute to process what he just said but as soon as she realised, she was furious. She pinched him in the arm and stepped on his foot, making him give a small scream of pain, "Why in all of Ninjago would you want to date me? I mean, sure, I'm as hot as hell, but I'm also your enemy." He just sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "You said it yourself..." He started. He smirked. "You're as hot as hell."
"What is wrong with you?"
"Nothing, sweetheart. I'm just... merely in love..." She shook her head in disbelief. "No..." She whispered. "No, no, no, no, no!".Her voice got louder with each 'no' she said. "You can't be in love with me...I can't be in love with you!"
"So you admit it? You're in love with me?"
"No!" By now, her face was as red as her gi. Morro just laughed. "If you're not in love with me, why are you blushing?" She just stood there, looking down, her face heating up. She had to admit, even though he was her enemy and possessed her best friend, he was quite hot and quite worthy of being her boyfriend. No. She couldn't think like that. She did NOT what him as her boyfriend. But...in a way...she was in love with him. So no. She was not going to date him. But she made an exception. She looked up at him with a smirk on her face and walked close to him. He stepped back a little and gulped. "Urrghhh...Kayla?" She ignored he confusion and pushed her lips up against his. He was shocked at first and was about to pull away but he couldn't help it. He was in love with her, so kissed her back. Their arms wrapped around each other and they kissed for another few minutes. All of a sudden, Kayla pulled away and blinked. "Well...in a way I just kissed my best friend..." Morro laughed, "I'll be sure to explain it all to him next time I leave his body."
"You probably won't have to..." She looked into his eyes, "Sorry Lloyd!" Morro placed a hand on her shoulder as he said: "We should probably get going now..." She nodded on response, "Yeah...The others are gonna start to get suspicious soon." She looked up at him one last time and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Well...good luck, Morro."
"Same to you, Kayla." She pulled on her mask and started to run back for the bounty. Morro just watched her go. "Well...I'm in love with my enemy...What could happen?"
