Chapter 10 ~ "Broken Angel"

"Why didn't you listen to me when I said, 'You don't belong here'," Amelia questioned me again.

I could feel my month dropped opened. I felt little bit eerie seeing someone that looks like me but grayish pink fur. Her hair was pulled back and pushed to one shoulder. We could had been lost sisters if only she didn't have those eyes with red pupils with black round them. Amelia was running out of patience for my answer.

"Answer me, why didn't you listen to me," Amelia said as she held her head up to the sky, but had her red eyes staring down upon me. I felt really scared.

"You wouldn't happen to be Amelia, are you?" I asked, since I was still trying to get over the fact I'm looking at another Amy. Amelia gave me a death glare like I slapped her crossed the face. She wasn't happy with my question. She placed her right hand on her hips and the other hand with the index finger pointing at herself.

"Only I, Amelia Rosa the once high sorceress to the kingdom of Andar will be asking the questions here. If you don't reply back, I'm not afraid to show you unbelievable pain right now after what you have done. Now answer me! Why didn't you listen to me from the start?" Amelia voice boomed in the room. She isn't pleased with me being here. But I wasn't happy to see her either.

"I've done nothing wrong!" I yelled. But she only rolled her eyes at me which made me believe she doesn't really care about what I'm saying. So I continued saying, "I didn't know you were talking to me. I only heard you passed away." She laughed at my words as she folded her arms together as they overlapped each other on her chest.

"I could never passed on as long as I'm living in this cage for the rest of my life. The last thing I need is another Amy from another world going into my old world and messing more things up!" She yelled at me with rage.

"I'm sorry you feel this way but I didn't plan this, it was-" I was interrupted by Amelia as she created a magical blue fire ball with her hands and threw it at me. Lucky for me, it missed me all together and hit the floor beside me. The floor was crack in half with burnt marks. I looked back at her to see her breathing deeply. Her red pupils getting smaller as they stared into mine like she's planning on ripping me apart.

"I know it was Sonic from my world. It's not like I don't regret that day over and over again. I know I failed everyone and you don't even know what truly happen. You never will. So don't tell me that it was Sonic because I already know who it is and why they did it. I know everything… I always know." She walked away from me, trying to calm herself. The fire in her hands faded away into smoke. That's when I finally got up from the floor and onto my feet. Amelia touched one of the huge flowing ring with her fingertips as she was playing around, letting her fingertips dance along the surface of the ring. "Did any one else try to hurt you?"

"None of them hurt me… Well Sally tried," I said remembering Sally's words as they echoed though my head, 'This is her, This is her…..She can return our sanity.'

"Sally… My dear friend is messed up just like all of them…" Amelia placed her left hand on her face and shook in disgust. She doesn't even know how to interact with the news about her world. I wonder how it would feel with the whole world you once called home becomes nothing more but hell place.

"I know I shouldn't ask but… Why do you look like me?" I asked. Amelia removed her hand from her head and stared back at me.

She took in a deep breath and signed, "The world you were in has been corrupted through space and time. It's a parallel universe, just like all of these universes you've seen before you. Each ring has its own different universe. Some end happy, and some come out bad, but most of the time it's close to the one you and I live in. All the worlds hook together under the hands of our Fates. These rings could send you to any world you want to go to in that time period. Most of the time it could be a world of your dreams or chaos. All the person has to do is jump through a ring and they will in up in at world."

"I see… So why aren't you in the world I came from?" I asked. She turned her head quickly at me. I backed away in fear of being hit again.

"It's not like I don't want too, Fates won't let me back in. All because I broke one rule."

"What rule?" I asked. Amelia was annoyed with my questions now. She shook her head.

"That is none of your business. It won't matter now, the Fates are gone just like my mind and soul. My Sonic is out there corrupting other universe and there's no one else to stop him. Curse my days of enjoyment. For now, I ask to bring on sorrow and my punishment which is waiting for me."

"I would like to help but if you're not going to tell me what's your problem is, then could I just head back to my world? My friends are waiting for me, and I fear Sonic might be looking for me right now." Amelia looked at me in shocked with my words. Then she shrugged and smiled.

"Oh yes… Your Sonic. I forgot your world has a Sonic too. I don't think you need to fear about him since I already know he isn't looking for you." Amelia said. I wasn't sure if she's trying to stab me for being here or she's telling the truth.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, sounding mad at her words.

"Don't make me laugh. It'll take him years before he realizes you're missing for good." She is trying to pissed me off. As I was about to yell, I thought to myself, 'Maybe she's just hurt. Her Sonic doesn't even know she's alive all these years. She might have given up hope for him to rescue her. I calmed myself down and wasn't going to let her get to me.

"My Sonic of my universe will come to get me," I said confidently, "He always does. I'm destined to be with him and only him. Sorry that your Sonic couldn't save you in time to make you realize how much he misses you too," I said. But Amelia's mouth opened in disbelief. It was long time until she started to laugh. I felt mad that she was laughing at my words. Maybe this Amy could careless about Sonic.

She started to a stop breathing heavy as she asked, "Didn't you know anything about your world? Do you? Sorry, but your world is corrupted like mine but not as much messed up."

"I don't understand what you mean." I said.

"What do I mean? Think about it Amy. How did it first start from the beginning of your universe. Lets start from the first time when you ran into the forest? Do you remember? Who did you met there?"

"Sonic."

"Which one?" She asked.

"My Sonic," I answered. She grinned at my answer.

"Wrong answer. You didn't met him first. You only met my world Sonic first and because of him, it messed up your time line where you should have been. As you may not believe it, you were never meant to meet your Sonic, but you did. This is not how your world was written before, your world was unbalanced and unsure how to end it since what happen so long ago. It was all because of my Sonic. For that, I am the one to blame."

"You're wrong." I said backing away from Amelia, but she just came closer to me.

"It's all in front of your eyes Amy. You met my Sonic in your world, and he made you want him."

"I know who I met, and it was my Sonic from my world. Always have!"

"Wrong answer Amy. You don't remember that night but I do. I had to watch both of you through that golden ring." Amelia said as she pointed to the Golden ring behind her. "Ever since that night, you never let go of Sonic. It's almost like your fate should of be with Sonic, but it just took one Sonic to show up and mess around your fate all together. Now you changed your whole world's timeline. The reason why I need to know if anything happen you in my world is because I'm trying to keep both of our worlds safe from danger. If you knew what's good for you, you'll listen to me."

"If you'll trying to keep us safe from danger, then let me help you. Maybe we could figure out a way to end this. I'm the only other person who saw your Sonic. I've been to that world and back. How bad could it be to fix it?" I asked. Amelia stared into my eyes with a deep thought going through her head.

"You think you're the first one to be in my world, since I've been gone?" She questioned me. It wasn't long until a she smiled at the thought. Soon she burst out laughing. "So very naïve. I used to be so much like you. I hope you don't end up like me."

"I don't understand what your saying again, Amelia."

"It's not important anymore. I would had feared about your life more in the past, but my Sonic took a liking of you. Your very lucky than the most I've seen. That's all you need to know," Amelia said as the last part was almost a whisper.

"Is there a way to help both worlds?"

"There is not another way, as long my Sonic is going to different worlds and messing them up for his own enjoyment. The only way I could think of this is if I head back to my world and watch over him. But I can't get out of here. No magic alive I know has set me free from this prison."

"Have you tried technology?"

"I would never used technology! It's one of the reasons I'm here in the first place. Technology has done nothing good for anyone."

"Maybe in your world, but my world is far advance. If I head back to my world, I could-" I was lifted up in the air with a blue fire as it warped around my body. Amelia was using her magic again. Amelia scrunched up her mouth and growled at my words.

"What makes you think I was going to let you leave here?! If you leave, my Sonic will come get you. He'll make you into one of them someday, and I fear you'll be crazy like all of them. Here you are safe from him and that world I cursed for all eternity."

"If you keep me from saving your world and mine, why do you stop me so badly?" I asked. But her magic started to wrap around my neck and choking me slightly.

"Because there's no beauty in a breakdown… All of them are broken, you'll be like them if you submit to their ideas. All of them have gone to hell, and everyone of them are died. None of them are themselves," Amelia said, I wished she stopped choking me…

"Do you not care that much about saving your world? Your friends, Sonic, Sally, Cream, Tails? Even Rouge?" I yelled as best as I could.

"Rouge?" Amelia whispered as the magic started to fade which was holding me up in air. I fell down to the ground as I tried to caught my breath. Once I did, I stared up at Amelia, and her eyes were trembling in fear. "That can't be…" She backed away slowly, "I never saw her in that world in for years. I thought she died with the fire." Amelia almost tripped on her feet but caught on one of the huge rings behind her. Where did you last see her?" She asked.

"At the church. She's the reason I'm here." I said. Amelia only nodded.

"I see… I'm amazed she didn't kill you. I would have thought she'd kill you believing you were me."

"She knew I wasn't you." I said.

"Is there anything else she has done to you?" Amelia asked as she stared into my eyes.

"Nothing much, but scared me the first time I met her… She also tested my blood to see if I've been cursed." As I remember what Rouge did. Amelia's eye widen and in shock from what she heard from me.

"What?"

"She tested my blood in this bowl of crimson water. Once my blood fell into it, the water became clear." Amelia opened her mouth and shut it. Parts of me believes she doesn't know what to say. But it wasn't long until she started to chuckle.

"I see, so much for being the great priestess that could never lie. I guess I have no choice. Amy if you're right about the technology in your world, then I've better give it a try. Would you help me get myself back home?" Amelia said as she reached out her hand for me. I grabbed it as she helped me get back onto my feet.

"I'll try the best I can." I said as she nodded in agreement.

"But I fear if I send you back, my Sonic would come get you."

"Then I better find something before he shows up, and if he does, I'll just head back with him. I believe he said he knows another way to send me back here to you. I'll just use his ring to get back here." She nodded as she walked over to the golden ring and places her hand on it.

"I hope it works." Amelia spins the ring round letting the ring glow and spark out bight color lights. It wasn't long until it showed my world. Amelia turned to me with a serious look. "Just in case, I'll be sending you messages through your head again, I'll be warning you if my Sonic shows up in your world."

"Ok, I understand."

"Then please step in, and hurry as fast as you can," Amelia said as I stood in front of the ring.

"I'm not fast as Sonic." I joked but Amelia was in no mood to joke around.

"Go!" She yelled as I jumped into the ring. It wasn't like the first time I jumped in there. This time it felt warm and bright. It wasn't long until my feet found the ground. I looked around everywhere as it became clear. Everything was green and colorful. There were many trees around me, but about 10 feet way from me. Behind the trees, I could see the first morning sun rising from the east. I smiled. I never realized how much I missed being here. It's nice being back home.

As I was in my dreamland, a voice boomed calling my name, "Amy, you don't have time to look around. You have to go find some technology before the other Sonic shows up." It must have been Amelia. I wonder if she's watching my movements right now. I prayed that she's watching the other world too at the same time.

"Right," I said as I started to run crossed the forest watching the trees fly right passed me with each footstep I took. I hope Amelia doesn't mind if I go see my friends first...

You have nothing to worry about, we still have about 15 more chapters left of this story for love to happen between Sonic EXE and Amy. I'm still trying to let Amy warm up to EXE and both of her world and his world. Love doesn't happen in a day.
