She giggled to herself, before remembering what had caused Ben to come barging into the house that same day. "Rubes, trust me when I say this, family comes first. Before friends, before guys, before work. Just trust me- some of us have had to learn this the hard way. Because, little girl, friends, guys and work will all, at one point, leave you.
