"Don't lie to me."
The boy's midnight blue eyes locked on his father's. The tension in the room grew thick, and the boy had to gulp to keep his stern composure.
"Like I said, oyajii," the teen emphasized 'oyajii' in an attempt to irritate the older man. "I was just hanging out with the other members of the gang. Nothing more, nothing less."
The older man slid is fingers through his spiky black hair, sighing. "When are you going to stop calling me 'oyajii'? Damn it, son, why are you always so rude to me?"
The teen stayed silent, his gaze shifted elsewhere.
His father sighed again, "Gah, whatever ... you can leave now. I've got a meeting to attend soon—"
He was already out the door.
The older man, namely Silver, lit up a cigarette and closed his eyes as he leaned on his chair, placing his legs on the large desk in front of him.
'You've changed so much, son. It's as if ... you can't even smile anymore ... why?'

"Gray, Lyon is here—"
"Don't care."
"Matte—Gray!"
She grabbed his wrist, her grip firm.
"Why are you acting like this?"
"It's got nothing to do with you, just piss off."
"Who the hell do you think you're—!"
"Shut the fuck up!" He boomed, yanking his wrist roughly off of his sister's grip. "Can't you just leave me alone?! I don't want anything to do with you, Lyon or anyone!"
Silence.
"G-Gray ... I'm ... sorry—"
He already left.
She stood there, watching as her younger brother turned a corner at the end of the long, large corridor. She sighed, turning and facing the row of large and fancy windows which showed the beautiful mansion gardens.
'What happened?' She thought, an image of her younger brother's smiling face flashing through her mind. 'Why ...'
'Where did it ...'

'... all go wrong?'
Lucy wiped the tears that began to stream down her face as she bent down and placed down the single white lobelia flower in front of her mother's grave.
. ~ Layla Heartfilia ~ .
She was a young and beautiful woman, Layla Heartfilia. She was so kind and caring—it was almost inhuman. She was like an angel, that descended from the heavens.
But, she didn't stay for too long.
After praying for her mother and saying goodbye, Lucy headed down the row of graves, heading towards the exit of the cemetery. As she continued to walk down the path, she heard sniffles—as if someone was crying. Lucy looked and saw a boy who looked her age. He was clad in a black hoodie, jeans and black trainers. This made his bright, light-shaded spiky blonde hair stick out. He was on his knees, his hands in front of him and eyes shut tight, silently crying in front of the grave.
Lucy stopped in her tracks, her eyes full of pity as she looked at the crying teen—she really wanted to comfort him, even though she didn't know him at all. That had been her a few minutes ago, and no one was there to comfort her ... but she had the opportunity to do that to someone else.
"E-Excuse me ..." She said as she bent down beside him. "Are you—"
'No ... of course he's not okay ...'
The blonde male sniffed again, wiped his tears and dragged his deep, cobalt blue eyes towards her.
His eyes widened.
Before Lucy could say anything, the blonde male tackled Lucy onto the ground as he yelled "LUNA!"
'Luna ...?'
"Kyaaa!"
Lucy screamed as she shut her eyes. A moment passed and she slowly opened them again—and now that she had a better view of the blonde male, her eyes widened.
It was one of The Elite Gang members she met on her first day at Fiore Academy. His flower was a white lily ...
'I ... I know him ... '
"It's ... you .. the new girl ..."
'His name is ...'
"Lucy?"
"S-Sting-san?"
The two were silent—trying to process what was happening. A few minutes passed, and Lucy finally noticed the position they were in.
He was on top of her.
"Gomen ..." Sting murmured as he got off of her, taking her hand and helping her up back on her feet. They were then engulfed in an awkward silence.
Just as when Lucy was about to say something, Sting started to speak again.
"I'm ... I'm sorry for suddenly jumping on you like that." He ran a hand threw his light blonde hair. "I ... I thought you were someone I knew ..."
'Someone ... he knew?'
"I wonder who ..." Lucy thought out loud, but then slapped her hand over her mouth while gasping. "I-I didn't mean to say that! I-It was an accident—"
Sting cut her off by chuckling, "It's cool. That was cute."
Lucy felt her cheeks heat up a bit—she forgot for a second that he was a member of The Elite Gang.
"Anyway, to answer your question ..." Sting started, placing his hands in the pocket of his hoodie. "Luna ... she was my—"
"Sting."
The blonde male was cut off by a calm, familiar voice. Lucy turned around to see one of The Elite Gang members.
'I met him the library before, but he didn't tell me his name.'
Unlike Sting, Rogue wasn't dressed all in black. 'He probably didn't come to visit anyone here ...' Lucy thought.
Rogue nodded at the blonde female, and she quickly bowed.
"Well, I guess I have to go now." Sting said as he placed his hand behind his neck. "I guess I'll see you soon, at school."
'Oh, yeah. I came here at dawn.' Lucy said inwardly as she looked up at the sky. Before, the sky was a blend of pink, purple, yellow, and orange. But now, traces of blue were visible. 'I have to get home soon and make breakfast for father ...'
"We have to go." Rogue said simply. "Don't waste anytime."
"Hai, hai." Sting said as he began to walk towards Rogue. As he walked passed Lucy, he placed a hand on her shoulder and winked, smiling. "I'll see you later, Lucy."
Lucy slightly jumped from the sudden contact, but then nodded her head quickly as she felt her cheeks heat up.
"H-Hai, see you soon."
Sting chuckled once more before he caught up to Rogue who was already exiting the cemetery. Lucy managed to see a long, black limousine parked at the entrance of the cemetery, and watched Sting and Rogue get inside it.
'I wonder what the relationship between those two is ...' Lucy thought. 'They seem really close, are they related?'
Lucy brushed the thought from her head as she took her phone out of her hoodie pocket and flipped it open. The time read 6:21am.
Her eyes widened, "Kyaa! I need to get home and get ready for school!"

✿PrincessOfTheSakura✿: I'm curious ... how old do you guys think I am?
Ok, that wasn't the best way to start this off :p What I mean to say is I'm terribly sorry for the late update, I had a cold (I still have it now, but my nose isn't blocked that much anymore) and my colds last for a very, very long time -_- But that isn't gonna stop me from watching anime, playing games, and of course, writing fanfiction! So, anyway, Lucy has met Sting (well, they met in the first chapter, but ... you know :3) and it turns out our usually flirtatious and cocky blonde has a mysterious past with a girl that apparently looks along like Lucy! Who do you think it could be? You just gotta wait and see~~ And we've had a sneak peek at Gray's life at home, his relationship with his father and his sister also. He doesn't seem so happy ... bring on the drama! :D
I apologize for not showing Gajeel and Lucy's past U_U That will definitely be shown in the next chapter. I promise :) Sting's past will be revealed soon. I'm not sure when, but his past will probably have a chapter to itself.
I'm also sorry that this chapter is short—I originally planned for it to be longer. I just felt so sick today (I threw up, and I felt like complete shit. I mean, the last time I threw up, I was like six or seven!) and I've just been lying down in bed (and the thing is I'm rarely in my room during the day) with a terrible stomach ache (stupid period cramps!).
