I don't know why I keep doing this.
I know it is very annoying to have to
wait but I just keep on pushing stuff in
front of me instead of doing it. Sorry!AnywayDouble digits here we are! WOOH!
When I first started writing this I
was just trying to see if I was capable
of writing something that someone
actually liked. I was definitely not
expecting nearly 1000 views!
enjoy this chapter of the story and
leave a review or something!
Reviews, follows, favs and views are
the best parts of writing. Though I
write because like it to write.

c10 We made it!
The first thing I noticed when I woke up was that Shine wasn't in my face. And that I had a terrible headache. I got up and looked around but found no Shine. I looked down at my chest and found the now dry paw print made of her blood. I realized that it wasn't just a dream and that shine was really gone. I felt my headache get worse and I screamed out of anger, pain and sorrow. "Why the hell would he do that?! It's not like I did something to them and as far as I know they won't earn anything from it" I cried out loud. Alex heard me and asked what was on my mind. "I was just thinking about any possible reason for those demons to rip her apart as they did" he made an attempt to make a comforting face and voice. It didn't work very good but it was a good attempt "Look, I understand that this is bothering you but don't let it keep you off guard, you need to be able to focus in case something happens" I released a deep sigh and nodded. "guess I'll have to tr... OWW!" My face hit a tree causing me to cut off mid-sentence. Alex just shook his head and we kept going, Ignoring what just happened.
A small green girl called Samantha, who was the healthiest of the sick ones, sat on my back and helped me avoiding trees using the very same kind of vines that Leafia used during khan's attack in the absol territories. "Cheer up Shade! If it weren't for you all of these sick pokemon would be dead too" I let out a small sigh "You're right I guess, but it feels like I'm haunted by bad luck"
As I told her about my journey so far Alex saw the top of a building in the distance. He dashed ahead and when he came back he screamed "It's a hospital! We made it!" I lifted my eyes from the ground and saw a huge, white building with a big red cross on it. I felt my jaw dropping "Who built this?" I asked with big eyes and hanging jaw "Humans" I shivered as the word reached my ears. Humans, of course as soon as we find a hospital it is built by humans. Alex spoke again "And we're lucky! I've been here before and if it hasn't changed they have rules saying that they are not allowed to catch or harm pokemon in any way within the town area"
we went there and to my big surprise nobody was trying to harm us. The people actually looked very shocked to see us and they stared at us. I felt very weird and crouched so that my body almost touched the ground with my ears touching my back. I never really knew how big my ears were but obviously they are very long. I heard the humans whispering behind our backs but I couldn't figure out what they said except for one person who said "What are THEY doing here" we stopped in front of the hospital and admired it for a few moments. The building was enormous and in the entrance were three poles making four perfectly rectangular holes. I tried to go inside but I couldn't get past the rectangles. There was some kind of invisible wall in the way making it impossible to get in. I turned around to tell them it was impossible but when I saw them they were all rolling around on the ground laughing hysterically. When they were done laughing Alex went to the middle pole and when he was very close the pole split in half and both halves were pulled aside as if he ruled them. He went through the now open wall and I followed close behind with marina and the others as a tail.
The inside was even more astounding than the outside. The ground in there was made of some kind of smooth, blank, white rock which made clicking sounds when our claws touched it. The walls were of the same material as the floor from the top down to the middle where it switched into dark wooden planks with neatly carved pictures of different pokemon on them. Behind a big block of stone stood a girl with a white piece of cloth wrapped around her body and a small white hat on her head. When she saw us she called for another human with identical clothing to come and lead us to a room.
When we entered the room I turned towards the human and said "Thank you for helping them" the response I received wasn't really the one that I expected. "You'll be okay" she said before turning around and closing the door. "Was I mumbling or something?" I asked Alex. "No, humans don't understand what we say. To them it just sounds like we're saying the name of our species over and over" "oh, I didn't know that" The next moment the door opened and a third human with the same outfit as the other two. "I'll take you out one by one to have a look at you, we'll start with the youngest first" she said and stretched for marina who flinched a little. After a moment she dared to go into the one I think was the doctor's hands. She was lifted off the ground and carried through the door. After a few minutes she came back to us and a cubone called Jake was carried out instead. He wasn't really happy about it so instead of keeping calm he flailed wildly while screaming "PUT ME DOWN!" a while later he was also returned to us, sleeping and with a bandage around his left arm.
When it was finally my turn she asked me to walk beside her instead of just picking me up. We walked in a long passage with doors on both sides. She turned to a door with a sign reading 'physical examination'. She opened the door and I followed her inside. The door led to a small room with steel table and various tools and needles attached to tiny bottles. She lowered the table and commanded me to jump onto it. I did as she told me to and as soon as I stood on the table it started buzzing and slowly ascend until I was at about half her height. In her hand she held a small stick with a light on which she used to blind me. She squeezed all of my body parts and took an extra close look at the scar from the time when Khan almost made me half blind. She pulled out a small tool with flat pincers and a tiny bottle. The used the tool to take something out of the scar and put it in the bottle. It was a tuft of Khan's fur that had been stuck in there. She looked at me with a big smile and hugged me while saying "You are both healthy and you have made me rich! Red absol fur is extremely valuable in some places" she led me back to the rest of the gang and took Alex with her who also had to walk beside her. When they returned the doctor spoke "I'm sorry to have to tell you this but most of you are sick or in very poor condition. The ones who are will have to stay here" she said and started picking out the ones who were not going any further for now leaving me, Alex, Marina, Samantha and Jake free to go.
After a very long time of finding our way out of that maze we finally saw the street. It was night and Marina, Samantha and Jake were very tired. We chose a safe sleeping spot behind a broken fence and they immediately fell asleep. Alex stayed up a while longer to look at the many billions of stars above us. I laid down and allowed myself to slowly drift into unconsciousness.
