"You look lovely." Rebekah complimented Elena. Elena looked overto Stefan who just looked down. Well, this is awkward.
"Thank you. Uh, Caroline asked me to, um, help her pick out an outfit. I'll see you later." Elena lied whilst grabbing Caroline. They basically ran back to their cabin, wanting to get out of there as fast as they couldn
"I don't want her here. She's gonna ruin our little OT3." Caroline whined as soon as they reached their room.
"Stefan asked me to be his girlfriend." Elena blurted out.
"I'm assuming you said yes?" Caroline asked and Elena nodded. "Well! That's amazing." Caroline smiled.
"I know they broke up and everything but what if her being back here makes Stefan realise I was a mistake." Elena panicked.
"Trust me Elena, he looks at you with more love in his eyes than he ever did with Rebekah. He wouldn't ever think that." Caroline assured her.
"Rebekah is nice and all, but I didn't think she would come back to camp." Elena thought out loud.
"Listen, you need a distraction. Me and Klaus were walking today and guess what we found? A stable full of horses." Caroline told her. Before Elena moved to London she used to own a horse, it was her best friend growing up. Once she moved she had to sell it and it broke Elena's heart.
"Can we go now?" Elena asked and Caroline nodded. On the way out they saw everyone still talking to Rebekah, including Stefan. Elena and Stefan's eyes met for a second before Elena looked away. It only took them 5 minutes to walk to the stable, once they got there they immediately saw about 4 horses.
"Wow! They're so beautiful." Elena gasped. She's always loved horses.
"Right. Klaus said he doesn't know who owns them so we better find out before we ride them, but I assume we're okay to pet them." Caroline spoke.
"You'd wanna ride a horse?" Elena raised her eyebrows at her best friend. She couldn't imagine Caroline Forbes, wannabe fashion designer, riding a horse.
"I'm full of surprises." Caroline giggled. Suddenly Stefan came around the corner, making Caroline's eyes dart to Elena. Elena nods like it's okay and Caroline excuses herself.
"I didn't know you liked horses." Stefan spoke.
"Yeah, I used to own one before I moved." Elena replied. The atmosphere feeling awkward.
"I know having her back here is gonna make things awkward, but I don't want it to come between you and me." Stefan told her, honestly.
"I'm scared Stefan. What if you realise breaking up with her was a mistake?" Elena spoke her fears out loud. Relationships require communication, and she wanted to communicate with him.
"It wasn't a mistake. I told her about us, about how much I like you. She told me she was happy for me, and she'll try not to get in the way of our relationship. Please don't think like that Elena, you're amazing. I could never see you or us as mistake." He pulled her into a hug and Elena buried her head into his chest.
"I'm sorry, I'm being so stupid." Elena apologised.
"No you're not, you're not at all." Stefan assured and kissed her forehead. "Come on, I have some food in my room, we can watch a movie and eat until we can't move." Stefan told her.
"Okay, I'm just going to tell Caroline." Elena replied.
"I'm spending the night with Klaus, so be as long as you want!" Caroline shouted, making Stefan and Elena laugh. They parted ways with Caroline and go into Stefan's cabin.
"What do you think is going on with Caroline and Klaus?" Elena asked Stefan.
"I honestly don't know, I hope they're being sensible though." Stefan replied, then realised how bad that sounds out loud.
"I think they are." Elena giggled. They awkwardly climb into Stefan's bed and pick a movie to watch. The atmosphere in the room changed quickly, all she wanted to do was kiss him. She looked up at Stefan who looked down at her, she wondered if he thinks the same thing. Elena leaned up and kissed him, at first it was innocent but then it suddenly became heated. Elena and Stefan's mouths moved in sync with one another, Stefan moved so he's on top of Elena. Stefan's mouth moves from her lips and started kissing down her neck. He found that spot that drove her wild and she involuntarily bucked her hips, grinding on him.
"Fuck Elena." Stefan groaned, burying his head in her neck. Elena suddenly stopped the make out session, knowing she's not ready for sex just yet.
"Can we, take things slow. I want to wait a little while before we, uh, do it." Elena muttered, feeling embarrassed.
"Okay, I'm fine with waiting. As long as it's not until marriage." Stefan joked, making Elena giggle.
"I'm fine with doing other things though." Elena bit her lip, looking up at Stefan through her eyelashes.
"Oh yeah? Things like this?" He asked and starts to slide his hand down Elena's leg. Elena nodded and he took that as permission to go further. His hand slipped into her jeans and he started to rub her through her underwear. Elena gasped and he moved her underwear slightly, suddenly inserting a finger into her. Elena gasped at sudden action and then began to moan as his finger pumped in and out.
"You're so wet." Stefan groaned. He's never been interested in foreplay before, but now he could probably find his release just by listening to Elena's moans.
"Oh Stefan, please." Elena begged, needing her realise.
"Tell me what you want baby." He whispered into her ear and she almost found her release just by his words. Baby, she liked that.
"Faster." She demanded and he starts to pick up his pace. Suddenly, she's seeing stars, she moaned loudly as she rode out her release. Stefan removed his finger and lightly kissed her.
"Was I good?" Stefan grinned and Elena rolled her eyes.
"You know you was." Elena replied. Elena leaned her head on his chest and suddenly became very sleepy. She tried to fight it but as soon as Stefan started to play with her hair she fell asleep, hearing Stefan whisper sweet things into her ear.

"Hey sleepy head, you need to wake up now if you want breakfast." Stefan whispered, pulling Elena from her peaceful sleep.
"Shut up." She groaned, she hated mornings.
"Are you not a morning person?" He asked and she shook her head no.
"Wait, breakfast?" Elena asked, suddenly sitting up. "I slept all night here?" She asked Stefan and he nodded in reply. "Caroline is going to have a field day with this." They both laughed.
"You can go inform Caroline of our amazing night and I'll meet you at breakfast." Stefan gently kissed her and Elena rush out of his room. On the way back to her room Elena bumped into Rebekah and Katherine, which was extremely awkward considering she was wearing Stefan's t shirt.
Elena creeped back into her cabin, hoping Caroline would be asleep. But Caroline was sat up in bed, staring at her.
"You totally did it!" Caroline screamed.
"No! No we didn't!" Elena shouted back.
"Aw, bummer. Did you at least do other things?" Caroline asked and Elena blushed. "Oh my God. You totally did." Caroline laughed and Elena joined in.
"Maybe." Elena giggled.
"I can't believe Elena Gilbert is breaking camp rules." Caroline fake gasped.
"I've always been one to break the rules. Anyways. Jeremy is coming in a few days." Elena told Caroline.
"Really? Aw well it would be good to see little Gilbert." Caroline replied. She never properly spoke to Jeremy before but she liked him, he was just Elena's funny brother.
"I know he's going to embarrass me in front of Stefan the first chance he gets." Elena groaned. She thought of all the stories he could tell and it made her mentally cringe.
"Oh you mean he's gonna tell Stefan about the time you got drunk and got locked in the mall." Caroline teased her and Elena rolled her eyes.
"Haha. He has much worse stories he can tell. I'm surprised he hasn't told you them yet." Elena replied.
"Well, I'm looking forward to hearing them. After breakfast should we try find out who owns the horses?" Caroline asked.
"Sure, I wonder if I can still ride though, I haven't ridden in years." Elena wondered out loud.
"You can always practice on Stefan." Caroline joked, making Elena hit her.
"Hurry up, we're gonna miss breakfast." Elena whined. They finished getting dressed and began walking over to the food hall. Once they walk in they saw that Stefan was sat at their old table, with Rebekah.
"Great, we're going to have to go back to awkwardly talking to each other whilst everyone stare at us." Caroline rolled her eyes.
"Or we could just not sit there?" Elena offered.
"No! We are not letting her get in between you and your man. You're gonna sit next to him, no matter who's watching." Caroline demanded and Elena had to smile at her friends vibrant personality. Elena can't help but wonder why Stefan would sit there with her, but she pushed them thoughts out. She's not going to let herself become an insecure, jealous girlfriend.
"Hi." Elena sooke awkwardly as they sit down. Klaus stared at Caroline, Elijah awkwardly looked at his food, Katherine looked like she'd rather be anywhere but here and Lexi glared at her. Rebekah smiled and Stefan grabbed her hand under the table.
"Hi." Rebekah replied. Elena forgot how Rebekah is the only one in the group who spoke. She wondersed what their parties must be like. She guessed that everyone would just sit in a circle and stare at the floor and the thought made her giggle inside her head.
"Sleep well?" Stefan asked and Elena nodded. She felt awkward speaking to him when Rebekah is there which is stupid, he's her boyfriend.
"Do you know who those horses belong too?" Caroline asked Stefan. She's clearly trying to act as if they're still the only ones sat together, and it's strangely comforting for Elena.
"I think they belong to some guy called Enzo. Him and Damon are friends and Damon allowed him to build a stable here on camp." Stefan replied.
"Coolio." Caroline awkwardly replied, feeling everyone's stares on her. Elena wanted to run away and laugh at the same time, it's so awkward that it's funny.
"So Elena, what happened with Kai?" Rebekah asked. Elena frowned, she didn't actually know what happened to him.
"He came back to camp to try apologise but the police took him away. I'm assuming he's in prison, I don't know." Elena shrugged. She hadn't even had time to think about what happened with him. She's scared that if she does she'll break down, he was still her childhood best friend. She never expected him to do something like this.
"Hopefully you won't have to see him again." Rebekah smiled. Elena found herself hating Rebekah's niceness. Why couldn't she be an evil jealous ex so she would have an actual excuse not to be around her.
"Do you have any plans for today?" Stefan asked, quiet enough for only them to hear.
"Me and Caroline were going to check out the horses, maybe see if we could ride them." Elena replied. Even though there's a table full of people starting at them, she felt relaxed with Stefan. Whenever they talk it's like they're in their own bubble, time around them just stops and the only thing that's happening is their conversation.
"Now, that is something I need to see." Stefan joked and Elena giggled.
"Have you ever ridden before?" Elena asked
"I can't say I have. I'd like too though." Stefan replied.
"I can teach you. You'd wanna learn from the best wouldn't you?" Elena teased.
"Of course I would. I'd love for my country girlfriend to teach me how to ride a horse." Stefan joked but Elena's heart fluttered when he called her his girlfriend.
"Well, it's your lucky day. If we can find this Enzo guy." Elena replied.
"Do you wanna head off now?" Stefan asked her.
"And leave this amazing party? But we're having so much fun!" Elena sarcastically joked, making Stefan laugh.
"Caroline, are you coming?" Stefan asked, popping their bubble.
"I would love nothing more." Caroline replied, making Elena giggle. On the way out they could feel Lexi's glares on their backs.
"Stefan, you need to talk with your old best friend about her weird issues." Caroline spoken
"I've tried, for years now. I've just given up and accepted the glares." Stefan raised his hands in defeat. They reached the stable and saw a man brushing the horses.
"Stefan! What brings you by? And who are these beautiful ladies." Enzo smirked, making Elena look at Stefan and Caroline giggle.
"Enzo, this is my girlfriend Elena and our friend Caroline." Stefan replied. Elena liked how Stefan calls Caroline 'our friend', it just showed how much he fit into her life.
"Girlfriend? What happened to that Rebekah?" Enzo asked and Elena suddenly felt awkward.
"It was just a doomed relationship from the start." Stefan replied, making Elena feel a little better.
"Right. Everyone knew that. So, what can I do for you?" Enzo asked.
"We want to ride your horses." Caroline suddenly spoke up.
"Have any of you had riding experience?" Enzo looked at them all wearily.
"I have, I used to own a horse myself." Elena replied.
"Yeah, and I had a few lessons when I was a kid." Caroline told him.
"I, uh, no." Stefan replied.
"Right, well. You can ride them, since I need them to be exercised anyways, but any horse related injuries aren't my fault okay? I don't want any of you to sue me." Enzo was half joking, half serious.
"We won't, we promise." Caroline assured him.
"Okay, you can come by any time. If you really want too you can ride at night, but I'd advise against it. I have to be back at home, knock yourselves out!" Enzo told them and then walked away. Elena walked up to all 4 horses, seeing which one she would be most comfortable with. Elena found the horse she liked and then looked at a plague hanging above his stall, telling her that his name is Riley.
"Hi Riley, shall we go for a ride?" Elena asked and the horse made a noise. Stefan and Caroline both looked at the horses wearily, regretting their decision. "Come on guys, what's the worst a horse could do to you?" Elena asked, seeing their hesitance.
"Uh, I don't know. Throw me off it's back whilst running as fast as it can." Caroline replied.
"It's an experience. And if you get hurt by the horse, then you'll get a badass injury." Elena grinned, but they still didn't look certain. "Do you want to watch me ride first?" Elena asked and they nodded. Elena put the saddle on reins on the horse and then jumped on. Elena suddenly felt nervous, she hadn't been on a horse in a long time, but she didn't want to show that. She squeezed her legs slightly which made the horse start moving. At first they were just walking around in the field, but then they started to run. Elena forgot how good it felt to feel the wind in her hair. Elena heard Caroline and Stefan's shouts so she turned to them and smiled, showing them it's okay. After a while Elena slowed the horse down and then jumped off.
"See, Riley here didn't throw me off his back." Elena spoke whilst petting the horse.
"You know, I think I'm going to ride tomorrow." Caroline spoke and Stefan agreed with her.
"Fine, but don't get me wrong. I will turn you all into horse lovers by the end of this summer." Elena told them.
"Hey, they're having a party tonight for Rebekah. Do you wanna go or do you just wanna watch a movie or something?" Stefan asked both Elena and Caroline.
"A party with like booze and stuff?" Caroline asked.
"No, more like marshmallows." Stefan replied making Caroline huff.
"Americans are so boring." She complained.
"Sorry we don't have wild parties every night." Stefan jokesd. Elena wondered why they were even having a party for Rebekah, is it really just because she came back?
"Yeah well, when we have a party for Elena's birthday we're gonna find a way to get alcohol." Caroline grinned. Elena almost forgot that her birthday was in 3 days. This was the first time she was going to be celebrating it away from her parents, but it was also her first time celebrating it with Stefan.
"Your birthday?" Stefan asked.
"Yeah, it's in 3 days." Elena told him, feeling embarrassed. She hated when the topic of conversation is her.
"Good to know." Stefan winked at her and she giggled like a schoolgirl.
"We'll go to this party." Elena teokd him, she only wanted to go to see what it would be like.
"Great, it's probably starting now." Stefan told her. They started to walk back and once they arrived they saw everyone gathered around the camp fire with soft music playing.
"This blows." Caroline whispered in Elena's ear. Elena nodner, agreeing with her. Stefan, Elena and Caroline all sat on the grass towards the edge of the party.
"We never got a chance to talk about Tyler, how are you feeling?" Elena asked. She felt guilty for not being there for her best friend enough.
"Honestly, I don't want to think about it because if I do I'll cry. So I'm just not going to think about it and then maybe one day it won't hurt to think about." Caroline replied. Elena marvelled at how incredibly strong her best friend was.
"I love you Care." Elena told her.
"I love you too." Caroline replied.
"Hey Stefan, how are you feeling about Rebekah being back?" Elena asked.
"Honestly, I don't care that she's back. I mean, I was still her friend before we dated so I'm glad she came back because I know she loves it here, but it doesn't really change anything for me." Stefan replied, honestly.
"I get you. Do you wanna come back to our dorm and we can have a sleepover again? This party really does suck." Elena laughed.
"Okay." Stefan grinned. He rememberd how close he and Elena were last time, he wouldn't mind doing that again.
"No touchy feely action whilst I'm in the room please." Caroline joked which made Elena giggle. They arrived back at their room and decide to keep their beds separate this time. Elena and Stefan squeezed into her small bed, cuddling each other. Caroline fell asleep instantly whilst Elena and Stefan had mindless conversation. Eventually Elena fell asleep on Stefan's chest and Stefan fell asleep whilst thinking about how lucky he is.
A/N: They're so perfect! In this story I'm probably going to keep making them perfect, just because they're perfect to me.
