Isabelle took a deep breath to calm her nerves before reaching down under her bed to pull out a medium-sized box. She swallowed thickly before picking it up and before she could change her mind, she walked out the door quickly heading towards her vampire's apartment.
KNOCK. KNOCK.
"Oh Hey Iz." Jordan answered her as he opened the door to their, small and messy apartment.
She graced him with a small smile before asking, "Is Simon in?"
He nodded, "I think so. Should be napping in his room." He stepped aside to let her in with the box.
"Thanks." She said, already heading over to his door. She didn't bother to knock and just let herself in. Immediately the darkness pierced her eyes.
"Simon?" she called out cautiously.
She caught him sit up while rubbing his eyes. "Iz?" he croaked out, his voice still deep with sleep.
"Yeah, it's me." She walked over to his side then sitting on his bed. His arm automatically curled around her waist, pulling her even closer to him. "Mm. What's wrong?" he asked, senses catching her nerves.
She looked down at the box in her hands, troubled. His hand reached over to take hers in his, lightly stroking her hand with his fingers. He said nothing, and let her mentally (& emotionally) prepare herself to share what's troubling her. His other hand went behind her head to gently play with strands of her hair, twirling it around his finger.
"Will you read with me?"
He paused with his twirling of her hair. "What do you mean?"
Taking a deep breath, she took off the cover of the box, revealing Naruto mangas neatly tucked in. Max's Naruto manga novels.
"Of course." He said gently, dropping the strand of hair and wrapped his arm around her instead.
She shakily took the first volume out and lightly ran her fingers on the front cover. She was about to flip the cover to the first page when Simon lightly turned the book in her hands, "You read it from the back."
Shakily nodding her thanks, she shifted closer to him before turning to the first page in the back of the novel. With his arm around her and his other hand now lightly tracing shapes on her knee, she began to read.
"Mountain Area. Mt. Oinari…
