"The Saga Continues" played in the background.
Narrator: Previously on Dragon Ball Z...
Nappa and Tarble continue to fly through space in their space pods.
Narrator: With only one year before two evil Saiyan warriors descend upon the Earth, the world's most powerful fighters have little time to prepare for their arrival.
Yuso ran up to his friends and then began catching his breath.
Narrator: Back on Earth, the first day of training for our heroes have put them face-to-face with danger.
Gwen crossed her arms.
Gwen: We thought you "wanted" to be alone.
Yuso quickly lifted his head up.
Yuso: (Pant) I did.
Yuso pointed into the direction behind him.
Yuso: But that was before I saw that thing.
They saw the Paozusaurus charging at them.
Dora, Gwen, Ben, Caitlin, and Yuso: AAAAAAAAUUUUUGGH!
Ben: RUUUUN!
The five young Saiyans started running away from the Paozusaurus.
Narrator: They have a long way to go before they could defend the Earth from the evil Saiyans warriors.
On Snake Way, Chris was looking tired and was walking so slow.
Narrator: Meanwhile, in Other World, Christopher Thorndyke has begun a really long journey down the treacherous Snake Way in order to train with the legendary fighting master: King Kai.
Chris fell to his knees and then on his stomach. Soon after, he was asleep.
Narrator: Our hero not only falls asleep...
The street cleaner hits a bump in the road, causing Chris to bounce off of it and into the clouds beneath Snake Way.
Narrator: ...he falls off of Snake Way after hitching a ride on top of a street cleaner. Too bad he didn't hold on tight when he hit the bump in the road.
Chris slowly falls into the clouds.
Narrator: Will Chris find a way to return to Snake Way to continue his long and tiresome journey? The test of Chris' Saiyan abilities begins today on Dragon Ball Z.
"Chris VS Goz And Mez"
*Crash*
Chris: Ow!
Chris started rubbing his head.
Chris: Ugh, my head!
After hearing a baby's laughter, Chris opened his eyes.
Chris: Huh?
He pushed himself off the ground and looked to his right.
Chris: Hello?
He then looked to his left.
Chris: Anybody?
There was no answer and then Chris scratched the side of his head with his left finger.
Chris: That's weird! I could've sworn I heard someone laughing.
He heard a baby noise coming from behind him.
Chris: Huh?
Chris turned around and looked down. Sitting on the ground in front of Chris was a baby boy with the same black, spiky hair as Bardock's. The baby was wearing a diaper and has a tail.
Chris: Eeeeehhh!?
The baby looked at Chris with a blank stare and then tilted his head. Chris laughed nervously and waved at the young child.
Chris: Hey, little guy! I'm Chris.
The baby smiled and laughed. He continued to laugh as he began floating around Chris.
Chris: Huh? What the...?! How did you-
The baby laughs as he flies in front of Chris' face and then to his left side.
Chris: (Thought) Where did this baby come from? Eh?
He took a notice at the baby's tail.
Chris: Augh!
Chris pointed at the baby's tail.
Chris: Hey, you have a tail!
The baby stopped to look at his tail. He brought his tail in front of his face and touched the tip. The baby then started laughing again.
Chris: (Thought) This might not be so good. This baby's a Saiyan just like Raditz.
Chris widened his eyes.
Chris: (Thought) Wait a second. Is this who I think it is?
Chris started to remember Raditz and Caitlin's words as a white flash occurred.
Raditz: The reason why you should eradicate all Earthlings by yourself is because the Saiyan soul inside you is my newborn, baby brother, Kakarot. With him inside you, you shall carry out his mission.
Another white flash occurred.
Caitlin: Let me guess. The Saiyan soul in me is your mother, Gine.
Raditz: What?! How did you know that?
Caitlin felt her heart.
Caitlin: Because I'm somehow able to communicate with your mom.
After another white flash, Chris felt his heart.
Chris: (Thought) This must be the Saiyan spirit inside of me. Raditz's younger brother, Kakarot. This must be how we can talk to our Saiyan spirits like Caitlin said.
Chris widened his eyes.
Chris: (Thought) Hold on. Raditz said Kakarot's the one who was going to destroy everyone on Earth.
He looked up at Kakarot, who continues to laugh as he plays with his tail.
Chris: (Thought) So how could a baby Saiyan be as much of a threat as the adult Saiyans?
Chris took a closer look as Kakarot's tail.
Chris: Hmm. (Thought) I get the feeling it has something to do with their tails. It feels like their tails are more than just for looks.
Kakarot flew in front of Chris' face.
Kakarot: Eh?
Chris: Huh? What is it, Kakarot?
Kakarot pointed behind Chris.
Kakarot: Eh. Eh.
Chris turned around and spotted a tree of fruit up ahead. After seeing one juicy fruit up in the tree, Chris and Kakarot grew happy faces. Chris then ran up to the tree while Kakarot's spirit flew behind him.
Chris: Thanks for pointing this out. The long walk on Snake Way sure made me hungry.
Goz: Don't even think about it, kid.
With blank expressions, Chris and Kakarot looked at each other before turning around. They saw a blue-skinned ogre demon with the word "Hell" on his shirt. Kakarot was so frightened, he disappeared inside Chris.
Chris: Kakarot?
He looked over his shoulder.
Chris: Where'd you go?
Goz: Hey, who are you talking to?
He looked back at the demon.
Chris: Uh...
Chris sheepishly rubbed his head.
Chris: Nothing. Ahehehe.
Goz: Hmph! Whatever. Anyway, like I was sayin', don't even think about eating fruit from this tree.
Chris looked up at the tree.
Chris: Why not?
Goz: Because every single fruit from that tree there belongs to the great King Yemma. And only he can eat the fruit.
Chris felt his stomach growling.
Chris: Ugh! Can I please just have one? I felt like I haven't eaten anything my whole life.
Mez: The answer's no, kid.
Chris turned to another guy who's red with glasses.
Mez: I'm Mez. This is Goz. Who the heck are you?
Chris: Oh! My name's Christopher. And I'm here to train with King Kai.
Mez: King Kai, huh? Well, I guess that explains everything.
Chris: Uh, explain what?
Goz pointed at the clouds up above.
Goz: We saw you falling from up there. Since you mentioned King Kai, we assume you fell off Snake Way.
Chris looked up with widened eyes.
Chris: WHAT!? I did?!
Mez: That's right, kid.
Goz and Mez stretched their shirts a little.
Mez: Welcome to Hell.
Goz and Mez started laughing at Chris.
Goz: Gets me everytime.
They continue to laugh as Chris facepalmed.
Chris: (Sarcasm) Great. Just my luck.
The next day, Krillin and Yamcha were in the middle of the desert. They were tired and were walking at a slow pace while Puar flew beside Yamcha.
Krillin: (Pant) Yamcha? (Pant) How could you forget... to put gas into your ride?
Yamcha: (Pant) I dunno, Krillin.
Yamcha rubbed his head.
Yamcha: I guess baseball must've gotten to my head.
Krillin remembered Yamcha and Master Roshi thinking about Chris' mother.
Krillin: (Sarcasm) Uh-huh. Yeah, sure.
Puar: At this rate, it'll take us forever to find Tien and Chiaotzu.
Krillin: Yeah. And the Saiyans will probably be here before then.
Yamcha lifted his head up and took a deep breath.
Yamcha: Which is why we gotta pick up the pace. Come on.
Yamcha ran up ahead at very high speed.
Puar: YAMCHA!
Puar flew after him.
Krillin: Eh? Hey, guys.
Krillin ran after them.
Krillin: Wait for me.
Yamcha: We can't stop now, slowpokes.
Back in Other World, Chris was sitting on the ground with his back against King Yemma's tree. His eyes were closed and his arms were crossed.
Chris: (Thought) I can't believe I let everybody down. Now I'm stuck here. What am I gonna do?
Goz and Mez were watching Chris from afar.
Goz: That kid's really upset. Huh, Mez?
Mez: Yeah, Goz. He really wants to get outta here so badly.
Mez started snickering as he turned to Goz.
Mez: You know, we could use that to have a little fun with this kid. Wouldn't ya say, Goz?
Goz turned to Mez.
Goz: Hehehe. Sounds good to me.
They turned back to Chris.
Goz: I can't wait to mess with that kid. Hehehehehe.
Mez turned to Goz.
Mez: Hey, what do you mean, Goz? Why do I do all the paperwork and you get to have all the fun?
Goz: Let's fight it out then. The loser stays in the office.
They growled in each other's faces.
Mez: Are you ready?
Goz: Let's go.
They pulled their arms back.
Goz and Mez: 1, 2, 3!
Mez was shown to have paper while Goz had scissors.
Goz: Scissors cuts paper. You lose.
Mez: Uh!?
Mez placed his head down while Goz laughed at him.
Goz: Try not to get a papercut, Mez.
Mez: Hey, try and be a good sport and save some for me.
Goz started making his way over to Chris.
Goz: Hehehe! Sure, I'll try! Not!
Mez started walking to the office.
Mez: Lucky ogre!
While Chris was breathing through his nose, Goz made it to Chris.
Goz: Hey, buddy. Need some help gettin' outta here?
Chris opened his eyes.
Chris: Huh?
He looked up at Goz before standing up.
Chris: Yeah. I really need to get back to Snake Way.
Goz: Hehehehehe! Leave it to me, kid.
Goz grabbed Chris' shirt.
Chris: Augh!
Goz snickered as he lifted Chris up by his shirt.
Chris: Hey, what are you doing? Let me go right now. This isn't funny.
Goz: Heh. Get ready to fly, kid.
Chris: What?!
Goz gave it his all shot Chris high up into the air.
Chris: AAAAAAAAUUUUUGGH!
Standing in front of the office, Mez shielded any light shining at his eyes and spotted Chris going up to the clouds.
Mez: Oh, Goz has done it again. Man, that big lug just can't resist finishing 'em off right away everytime. Darn.
Mez turned to the front door.
Mez: I never get to have any fun.
Chris stopped screaming and tried to reach for the clouds once he thought he was close enough. Unfortunately, he stopped ascending. He tried grabbing the clouds, but he couldn't.
Chris: Uh-oh!
He started falling now.
Chris: AAAAAAAUUUGGH!
Goz kept his eyes on Chris as he falls. Chris landed on the ground flat on his stomach.
Chris: Ow!
Goz: Hehehe.
Mez was watching from the window.
Mez: (Sarcasm) Aw great! He's finished! Now I'll never get to have any fun.
Chris: Eh... urgh...
Using a little bit of his strength, Chris slowly pushes himself off the ground, surprising Goz. Chris got on one foot, and then completely stood up.
Goz: Huh?
Mez: Augh!
After taking a deep breath, Chris stared angrily at Goz.
Chris: That was pretty dirty, Goz. I wasn't even ready yet.
Goz had a sweatdrop behind his head.
Goz: Uh... I know you're dead and all, but how could you possibly survive a fall like that twice?
Chris removed his angry look.
Chris: Uh?
He closed his eyes, crossed his arms, and began thinking back about getting his Saiyan powers.
Chris: Well... long story short, something incredible happened to me... recently... and I guess that makes me tougher than I originally was.
He opened his eyes and looked up at Goz with a smirk.
Chris: I don't know how I know, but somehow I know for a fact that I'm even stronger than you, Goz.
Goz felt insulted and shook his head.
Goz: Oh yeah, kid? Well, I'd like to see you prove it. I challenge you to a wrestling match. If you win, I'll lend you my special flying machine. I'm sure it'll take you all the way back up to Snake Way.
Goz gave a smirk.
Goz: Heh. But if I win, you're here for keeps. You'll become my personal playtoy. You understand?
Chris' smirk disappeared and he shook his head.
Chris: No dice, Goz. There's no way I'm agreeing to that.
Goz: Come on, Chris. You're the one who's looking for a way outta this place. What more do ya got to lose? You already lost your whole entire life.
Chris gave a deadpan look with a sweatdrop on the side of his head.
Chris: Uh... you really gotta go there, Goz? Really?
Back on Earth, the Saiyan kids were working out on their second day of survival training. Ben and Gwen were engaging in a sparring match. Lucky for Gwen, she had the advantage.
Ben: Hyah!
Ben sent a roundhouse kick, but Gwen caught Ben by his ankle.
Ben: Huh?
Gwen pushed Ben backwards, causing Ben to fall on his butt.
Ben: Ow!
He started rubbing his butt as Gwen looked down on him with a smirk.
Ben: Hey, no fair.
Gwen: Who says the moves you do in a fight is fair?
Ben groaned as he looked at the Omnitrix. Close by, Dora was doing push-ups on a rocky boulder with a flat surface.
Dora: Setenta... setenta y uno... sententa y dos... (Seventy... Seventy one... Seventy two...)
While Ben and Gwen were trading blows, Caitlin was throwing punches and kicks at a tree. With his arms folded, Yuso was leaning against another tree with his hoodie on. After throwing another punch at the tree, Caitlin turned to see Yuso doing nothing. Concerned, Caitlin placed her jacket back on and walked over to Yuso.
Caitlin: Hey, Yuso.
Yuso opened up one eye.
Caitlin: Don't you wanna work out with us?
She lifted up her dukes as Yuso closed his eye.
Caitlin: We all need to build up our strength in order to beat the Saiyans.
Yuso pushed his back off the tree and started walking off.
Yuso: Hmph! I think I'll work out somewhere close by... alone!
Caitlin gave a sad look before Gine's spirit appeared next to her.
Gine: Poor Yuso. I feel really bad for him. He's really taking this pretty hard, isn't he?
Caitlin: Yeah.
Caitlin pulled out Yuso's Picture.
Caitlin: I think with this, we're gonna help him out pretty soon.
Gine: I sure hope so. 'Cause we need him.
Gine's spirit disappeared inside Caitlin before Caitlin sighed.
Caitlin: I know.
Over by the blood fountain, Goz had just finished making a huge circle around him and Chris.
Goz: Okay, first one over this line is the loser. You got it?
Chris was freaking out a little.
Chris: Sure... but... you didn't tell me it was more of a "Sumo" wrestling match.
Goz begins his warm-up exercises. Stretching his arms and stomping on the ground.
Goz: Well, whose fault is it for not asking?
Goz got into position.
Goz: You ready, kid?
Chris: Eh, s-sort ooooff?!
Goz: Okay? Ready...
Chris was shaking a lot.
Goz: Set, go!
Goz began charging at Chris, who was completely frozen. During a slow-motion effect, Chris gave a blank expression and then his eyes began glowing white. When Goz was closing in, Chris gave a stern look and raised his right palm. A white energy aura appeared around Chris' hand. When Goz's stomach made contact with Chris' hand, a strong shockwave blew Goz away, sending him out of the ring. Goz growled as he looked up at Chris. He grew a scared face when he saw Chris staring down at him with his glowing eyes. Goz was shaking in fear.
Goz: Uh... urgh... ngh...
When more light shined on Chris, his eyes revealed to be normal again. He looked around and had no idea of what just happened.
Chris: Hey, did I win?
After Goz growled in anger, he took Chris to his "special" flying machine. Soon enough, Chris found himself standing on the lower side of a large plank on a large boulder. Chris was not amused.
Chris: This is your special flying machine? A giant seesaw?
Goz: Hey, we've never done anything like this before. What do you expect?
Chris was still not amused and sighed.
Chris: I can see why it's called a "special" flying machine.
Goz: Do you wanna get back up to Snake Way or not?
Goz ran up to the top of a cliff.
Goz: HERE I COME!
He jumped off the cliff and landed on the high end of the plank, sending Chris flying up into the air.
Chris: AAAAAAAAAUUUUGHH!
Goz kept his eyes on Chris. After reaching the clouds, Chris smacked his head on something hard.
Chris: Ow!
Mez saw that from afar.
Mez: Ooohh, that's gotta hurt.
After hitting his head, Chris started feeling his head as he falls again.
Chris: (Sigh) Here we go.
Soon enough, Chris landed flat on his face and stomach again. Goz stared at Chris, whose leg was twitching. Soon enough, Chris weakly pushed himself off the ground.
Goz: Wow! Three times? You're even tougher than I thought, kid.
While Chris was rubbing his head, Goz looked up at the clouds.
Goz: No wonder there's no way back up from here. Some kinda barrier in the clouds between up there and down here.
Mez: Goz, what do you think you're doing?
Goz turned around.
Mez: You know that it's my turn after lunch, jerk.
Chris: Hey Goz, your giant seesaw didn't work at all.
Chris starts struggling as he holds his head.
Chris: I can't take this anymore. I gotta get out of here.
Mez: Hey! Relax, Chris. If you wanna get back up onto Snake Way, you're gonna have to take the secret passageway.
Chris: There's a secret passageway?
Goz started to sweat.
Goz: Augh! Mez, whatta ya think ya doin'? You know we're not suppose to tell anyone about the secret passageway.
Mez: Chill out, Goz. For the challenge I got for him, he's not gonna get to it anyway.
Chris: Uh, what kind of challenge?
Mez: Heh. It's simple. Really. It's just a little game of tag, and you're it. I'm gonna start running now, and if you manage to catch me... I'll lead you to the secret route. You in?
Chris gave a confident look.
Chris: Fine. It's a deal.
Mez: Great!
Mez struck a pose with his arms spread out.
Mez: Once I'm done with you, I'll prove once and for all that I am the fastest ogre in the land.
Goz and Chris looked at each other and then back at Mez. They were motionless by Mez's pose.
At night, the five Saiyan kids were sitting around a campfire. Ben yawned.
Ben: Okay, I'm bored.
Dora: I know. How about a ghost story?
Ben: Ye-heah!
Gwen: Sounds good to me.
Caitlin turned to Yuso.
Caitlin: How 'bout it, Yuso? Hm?
Yuso just sat quietly, staring at the fire.
Ben: Uh, Yuso?
Yuso lifted his head up.
Yuso: Hm? Oh, uh...
Yuso placed his hoodie over his head and spoke in a miserable voice.
Yuso: Yeah. Sure. Ghost stories are fun.
He went back to staring at the fire. Ben and Gwen glanced at each other and then looked at the ground with sad looks. Caitlin closed her eyes and breathed through her nose.
Dora: Um... Yuso?
Yuso lifted his head up and looked over at Dora.
Dora: I know you don't like the idea, but... can you please tell us what's been bothering you? We just want to understand you better.
Yuso went back to looking at the fire.
Caitlin: It's got to do with more than just your friends. Right, Yuso?
Yuso looked over at Caitlin before Caitlin sighed. Caitlin pulled out the picture from her jacket and presented it to Yuso.
Caitlin: Sorry for not saying anything before. You've dropped this when we were being chased by that T-Rex yesterday.
Yuso grabbed the picture and noticed it was the picture of him and his friends when they were five. The same picture where they were laughing together with their helmets on. Yuso placed his head down and sighed as he gave it back to Caitlin.
Yuso: Their names are Jake and Sasha. They were twins and my best friends. You'll notice that I said, "were".
Everyone's eyes were on Yuso.
Yuso: I'm sure you guys lived nice, regular normal lives before Raditz showed up... but... I didn't. My entire life was full of tragedies. Horrible tragedies.
He lifted his head up and removed his hoodie.
Yuso: It was back when I was five.
A white flash took us back to Yuso's parents.
Yuso: A huge highway truck came out of nowhere and caused my parent's lives in a car accident... while I survived.
Young Yuso screamed for his parents before another flash brought us to Yuso standing in front of the entrance gate of the orphanage.
Yuso: Because of that, I was sent far away from home... then got dumped to an orphanage, where I met Jake and Sasha.
Young Yuso and his friends were happy chasing each other.
Yuso: We spent the next three years at that miserable place. And during that time, every single one of us had witnessed countless lives being thrown away like trash.
On the other side of the gates, Yuso and the other orphans saw people getting shot, run over, beaten, ect. Young Sasha held Yuso close to her as she cries.
Yuso: Sure I had my friends to keep me company, and we even had some pretty awesome times... but it just wasn't enough for me. All of the bad things we saw didn't help at all. I had to get out of that place and that neighborhood as soon as possible.
Young Yuso and his friends were happy obtaining a winning lottery ticket.
Yuso: Luckily, my friends and I had won the lottery. And with the money we won...
Young Yuso and friends were standing in front of Yuso's old house.
Yuso: ...I bought my old house and we spent our lives living happily together...
Yuso closed his eyes.
Yuso: ...up until now that is.
While Dora was wiping her tears, Gwen struggled to hold back their tears. Ben felt so angry, his eyes were starting to glow green. Caitlin let her tears fall out with her hand covering her face.
Caitlin: Un... believable.
Gwen: That's... so sad.
Dora: Yuso... I... I'm sorry you lived such a horrible life. We had no idea.
Yuso placed is head down.
Yuso: Don't worry about it.
He placed his hoodie back on as Ben turned to him.
Yuso: The last thing I want is new friends to lose. For your own safety, don't even bother making friends with me. So many people close to me already lost their lives, including Chris. It really wouldn't surprise me if bad things were to happen to you guys.
Ben ceased his anger and his eyes went back to normal. After, he looked down in sadness. Dora looked on the ground and see that Caitlin dropped the picture. She picked it up and noticed another boy laughing with Yuso and the twins.
Dora: Yuso? Can you... tell us... who this other boy is?
Yuso kept his head down.
Yuso: Oh, him?
There was a close-up of Yuso's mouth.
Yuso: His name's Kevin.
Just the mention of that name caused Ben and Gwen to widen their eyes in shock. They hesitantly turned their heads to Yuso.
Ben and Gwen: Kevin?
Yuso: Uh-huh!
Gwen: Dora, can we see that picture?
Dora: Si.
Dora handed the photo over to Ben and Gwen. When they looked closely at the picture, they realized it was their Kevin. Kevin 11.
Ben: (Thought) What?! No way! That jerk?
Gwen: (Thought) Yuso was actually friends with him?
Yuso turned to the cousins.
Yuso: You guys know Kevin?
The cousins were under pressure to answer. So Gwen decided to avoid the question.
Gwen: Uh... hehehe... how do you know Kevin?
Yuso: Well, he was a good friend. Someone I actually saved once from bullies. But then that soon changed. When he was seven, I found out he had these... freaky... weird powers. Because of a "jealously" reason, he purposely caused massive damage to everything and everyone. He left somebody no other choice, but to alert the authorities.
While it was raining, the police had Kevin in handcuffs and were taking Kevin into the back of a police car.
Yuso: And when they caught him...
Kevin slightly turned back and widened his eyes and gasped once he saw young Yuso with a police officer.
Yuso: ...he thought that the person who called the cops... was me.
The policeman patted Yuso on the shoulder.
Police Officer: Good work.
The policeman walked away snickering while Yuso gave an angry look. Kevin was shaking from the sight of Yuso.
Kevin: HOW COULD YOOOUUU!?
Yuso was surprised while the other orphans were shaking from their fear of Kevin.
Kevin: YUSO, YOU SNITCH!
Two Police Officers held Kevin back.
Kevin: HOW COULD YOU SELL ME OUT LIKE THIS?
Yuso: Kevin, this isn't what it looks like. I-
They pushed Kevin into the car.
Kevin: I PROMISE YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!
The door closed and then Kevin was being taking away.
Kevin: YUSOOOOO!
Tears began to form from Yuso's eyes.
Yuso: Kevin.
He closed his eyes and lifted his head up to the rain.
Yuso: KEVIIIIN!
Back to the present day, Yuso's arms were shaking.
Yuso: And that was the last time I saw Kevin. I haven't seen him in five years.
Dora and Caitlin gave sad looks.
Yuso: If Raditz or something else had gotten to him, then I'll never get the chance to say sorry to him. If he is still alive somewhere, I doubt he'll ever speak to me again.
Yuso sighed.
Yuso: Not that I blame him. I wouldn't speak to me either if I was in his shoes. I also would probably get the wrong idea about me too.
Yuso lowered his head some more to cover his tears.
Yuso: I tried to save him... but in the end, I let him down... and now he'll never forgive me.
Ben and Gwen gave each other concerned looks before giving off sad looks.
Ben: Here.
Yuso took the picture.
Yuso: Thanks.
He stood up with his hair covering his eyes and went inside the cave.
Yuso: We should get some sleep soon. I believe it's about to rain.
Dora felt a raindrop fall on her nose. She looked up and another drop fell on her forehead.
Dora: He's right, guys. Come on.
They all stood up and ran inside the cave in a hurry. Before long, a huge pile of rain came pouring down, getting rid of the campfire. The girls and Ben stood silent staring at the rain. They looked behind them and saw Yuso going to sleep on his side. Soon after, they all put their heads down in sadness.
In Other World, Chris and Mez were at the starting line on top of a cliff. Down below the cliff was a pile of blue fire. Chris was shaking in fear again.
Mez: You ready, Chris?
Chris: Uh, n-not r-really.
Mez: Well, too bad. This is the only way for you to get back to Snake Way. Unless, of course, you wanna back out now and stay down here forever.
Chris stopped shaking for a moment and smacked both sides of his face with his hands. Then he gave a confident look.
Chris: Let's go!
Mez: Heh.
Goz: Runners, on your mark...
Goz raised his gong mallet up in the air.
Goz: Set...
Chris and Mez got down on the starting line.
Goz: And go!
When Goz banged the gong, Mez took the lead and jumped into the fire.
Chris: Augh! Where did he...?
Down below, Mez ran out of the fire with a smug. After that, he started running down the road. Chris was completely stunned.
Chris: This is bad.
Mez ran while his butt was smoking.
Mez: Hot! Hot! Hot!
Chris took a deep breath.
Chris: Okay, here goes.
Chris ran to the edge of the cliff. When he reached the edge, he jumped as high as he could. After jumping over the blue flames, he didn't know how he was going to land.
Chris: Not again.
He landed flat on his face and stomach again.
Chris: Ow!
He pushed himself up, rubbed his head, and started running after Mez.
Goz: Haha! Little does he know that nobody's ever caught Mez except the great King Yemma. Ha.
Goz widened his eyes.
Goz: But then again... it has been a pretty odd day.
Soon enough, Chris was gaining on Mez.
Mez: (Pant) (Pant) Feeling tired already?
Chris: No, I'm just getting started.
Mez: Good. So am I.
Mez ran faster, leaving Chris in the dust. Chris growled before his eyes started glowing white. After, this whole body was surrounded by a white aura. Soon enough, Chris was running faster to catch up to Mez.
Mez: Wha-? How could this kid be so fast?
Chris: I've gotcha, Mez.
Mez: Think again.
They both jumped off a cliff and landed on a canoe in the blood fountain, which caused a pile of blood to splash up. When the blood came down, Mez was shown rowing the canoe while Chris was relaxing in the same canoe while holding a little pink umbrella. A sweatdrop appeared on Goz's head before he fell down anime style. He stood back up with an angry look.
Goz: What do they think they're doing? Are they nuts?
After reaching the other side, Mez jumped out and started running again. Chris jumped out too as he dropped the umbrella. After touching the ground, he started chasing Mez again. After a little while, they were getting tired.
Chris: Hey, hold on. Time out.
They stopped and faced each other while catching their breath.
Mez: (Pant) (Pant) There are no time outs. (Pant) (Pant)
Chris: (Pant) (Pant) Sorry, I've been meaning to ask. (Pant)
Chris pointed at the fruit tree from before.
Chris: Since that fruit is for King Yemma, what makes it so special anyway?
Mez: Oh, the fruit?
Chris: Uh-huh.
Mez fixed his glasses.
Mez: Well, if you must know. Eating one fruit will double a man's strength and speed and keeps him from getting hungry for three whole months.
Chris: So... if you were to eat one fruit, would you be able to make it to the very end of Snake Way?
Mez: Nah, just about halfway! I'd say two fruits will be enough.
Chris: Hmm!
Chris waved at Mez as he runs for the tree.
Chris: Thanks for the tip, Mez.
Mez: Wha-?
He started running after Chris.
Mez: NOOOO! STOOOOP! I COULD LOSE MY JOOOB!
Chris laughs while being chased by Mez around and around the tree.
Mez: Don't even kid around about this.
Goz was watching them through a window.
Goz: Goodness gracious! This has never happen to us before.
At the last second, Chris quickly turned around and hopped onto Mez, grabbing him by the torso.
Chris: Gotcha! I win.
Mez was stunned while Goz facepalmed.
Goz: Stupid nitwit.
Chris: Now that I won, you have to show me the secret passage.
Mez: Uh... what secret passage?
Chris gave Mez a mad look.
Chris: You better not lie to me. I know there's a way out of here. If that fruit really does belong to King Yemma, then how is he suppose to get to it without trapping himself here?
Mez: Tch... ngh... grrr... me and my big mouth.
Mez looked over to his left.
Mez: Okay, fine. It's right over there.
Goz and Mez led Chris to the secret passage to back up above.
Goz: We deliver King Yemma's fruit from here. Just go through here and take the stairs up. You can get back to Snake Way through here.
Chris turned to Goz and Mez.
Chris: I hope to see you again.
Mez: I certainly hope not.
Chris: And guys... thanks.
Goz: For what?
Chris: For a really fun day down here. And for the fruit.
Mez: Huh?
Chris revealed the two fruits he was hiding behind his back.
Chris: A few fell from the tree when I first got here.
Goz and Mez: AUGH!
Chris ate one fruit and waved at the ogres one more time.
Chris: Bye!
Chris started running through the passageway.
Mez: YOU LITTLE SNEAK!
Chris disappeared from their view.
Mez: Goz, did you see that? Darn.
Goz: Yeah, I saw it.
Mez: We got totally burned.
Goz smiled.
Goz: Yeah, for the first time.
Mez smiled.
Mez: That's not bad.
They faced each other.
Goz: Hey, we're still the baddest ogres in the land. No one can beat us.
They started walking away.
Mez: What do ya say we keep this little incident between the two of us?
Goz: Duh.
Meanwhile, Chris was running up the stairs. The surrounding were dark and had twinkles.
Chris: Wow! It's like I'm in a dream... or space.
He spotted a light up ahead.
Chris: That must be the exit.
Down below, Goz and Mez were thinking about Chris.
Goz: He should be there by now.
Mez: Can you imagine the look on his face?
The ogres started laughing.
Goz and Mez: Who's got the last laugh now, kid?
Chris tried to push the door open, but it wouldn't open.
Chris: Come on.
Using his Saiyan strength, he kicked the door open.
Chris: Yes.
When his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw an unhappy King Yemma right above him.
King Yemma: Christopher, what are you doing in my desk drawer?
Chris was nervous and waved.
Chris: Eh... hi King Yemma.
King Yemma: I thought you were on Snake Way.
Chris rubbed his head and laugh nervously.
Chris: A lot's happened. Ahehehe. Bye.
Chris jumped down and started running to Snake Way.
King Yemma: Goodness! How strange!
Chris was running with Kakarot's spirit next to him.
Chris: I can't believe those guys, Kakarot. Looks like they had the last laugh after all.
Kakarot crossed his baby arms.
Kakarot: Hmph!
Chris: Yeah, I know! Now we gotta start all over again.
After hopping onto the start of Snake Way, Chris was flying at high speed with a white aura surrounding his body.
Chris: Whoa! Looks like that fruit really helped after all.
Kakarot was happily giggling while flying alongside Chris.
Chris: Let's go, Kakarot.
They both continue to fly together as the Closing Theme started playing in the background.
Narrator: Chris and his new partner, Kakarot, are back at the start of Snake Way. And that means they're still a long way from training with King Kai. Luckily, that piece of fruit will give them the strength to keep them going for a while.
Nappa and Tarble continue to fly through space.
Narrator: But will it last long enough? There's still that little problem with the two Saiyans rapidly approaching Earth. Time is running out.
