Chapter 9: Hedgehog at the Barnyard
A Farmer opened the doors to his barn and he carried in a black hedgehog. This caught the attention of a black and white cow in the stall right next to where the farmer was taking the hedgehog. He placed the hedgehog on the floor and he put some feed into a bucket right next to it, he was about to leave when he noticed something strange.
"What's this" the farmer said as he pick-up what he thought was a name tag.
"Shadow" he said as he read the 'name tag' "well Shadow I guess you'll be okay while I go to motor bike camp" and with that the farmer left the Barn and Shadow woke up.
"Where am I?" He said to himself. He suddenly saw his badge on the floor.
"Are you okay?" a voice said behind Shadow. Shadow turned to face the creature with his gun pointed at it.
The creature turned out to be a cow that screamed in fear then said "impending psychopathic pain" Shadow put his gun down and stared at the cow in amazement.
"Are you out of ammo?" the cow said "because my face is surprisingly not bleeding"
"Am I on Mobius" Shadow asked.
"What's Mobius" the cow asked.
"Dude, I think he's one of those of those freaky science experiments" A mouse said as it jumped on the cow's Shoulder.
"I don't know Pip" the cow said "I think he may not be from around here."
"Why would he ask if he's on some weird made-up planet?" a pig said as it walked over.
"Maybe he's some kind of alien here to destroy us" A ferret said as it walked over with a tan and brown cow.
"Freddy that's a pretty small chance he's an alien" the other cow said "besides that already happened"
"people please" the first cow said "let's give him a chance to speak"
"okay" A rooster next to the Ferret said "first what's your name"
"I'm Shadow the Hedgehog" Shadow said
"Nice to meet you shadow" the first cow said "my name is Otis, the mouse on my shoulder is Pip, and these are my friends, Abby, Pig, Peck, and Freddy"
"Can any of you tell me where I am?" Shadow said.
"Ain't ya ever been in a barnyard before" Abby asked.
"Definitely not home anymore" Shadow said to himself as a Dog swung open the doors.
"Duke, what is it?" Otis said.
"You guys" Duke said "The Farmer's house come quick!". And with that, Shadow and the Animals Ran out of the Barn and towards the Farmer's House. When Otis got inside the House he saw what duke was so worried about.
"What the cud?" He said as he saw a robot on the Floor. When Shadow walked in to the house, he instantly recognized the Machine.
"It's Omega" Shadow said
"who's Omega?" Pig asked as he and the other barn animals walked into the room.
"he's a Robot built to work for G.U.N." Shadow said as he punched the activation code. Omega's Eyes turned on and he stood up and turned to face Shadow.
"Identifying Life form, Life form identified as Shadow, what should I categorize these barnyard animals as" Omega said as he turned to Otis and his friends.
"they're our friends Omega" Shadow said
"Categorizing barnyard animals as friends…barnyard animals categorized, I am Omega, nice to meet you Otis, Abby, Pip, Pig, Peck and Freddy" Omega said
"the Robot just copied our memories for his evil overlord!" Freddy said.
"actually Freddy" Shadow said "he scanned you to learn your names"
"oh" Freddy said "okay"
"this is one pretty cool robot" Pip said
"Warning, recent trans dimensional threat detected" Omega suddenly said
"What!" Shadow said "where?"
"Scanning for trans dimensional threat" Omega said "Scan complete, trans dimensional threat is in building known as barn"
"What's in the Barn?" Peck said "We'll have to find that out ourselves" Shadow said
"Are you sure about that?" Otis said "because it sounds like we could killed"
"That never scared me before" Shadow said "Let's go". All the others left except for Otis who stood behind in fear.
"Milk Meat" Otis said as he left the house. When the group reached the barn they saw robots flying out in swarms.
"Looks like Eggman's here" Shadow said
"is he a mobian version of a milk man?" Pig said.
"You guys have an evil scientist here too?" Shadow said
"oh, no the milk man comes by and delivers milk" Pig said.
"Omega" Shadow said "proceed with caution"
"request acknowledged" Omega said "proceeding to apprehend Eggman with caution". However when the group walked into the barn they found a chubby boy with a bunch of weapons on his back.
"Alright you stupid robots" the Boy said "go out and destroy more stuff before I blast you with my rocket launcher!" the robots then flew out the barn door and Otis looked horrified.
"I know that hate filled voice anywhere" Otis said. The boy turned around to find that the barnyard animals where acting like animals again.
"Hey" the boy said "you're those stupid stinky barn animals!"
"Drop the weapons kid" Shadow said "and call off your robots"
"yeah right Shadow" the boy said
"How do you know my name?" Shadow said
"Dr. Eggman told me everything!" the boy said "even that those barn animals can talk!"
"What" Otis said as he stood up "that guy officially went too far"
"who is this kid" Shadow said
"that's snotty boy" pip said "he likes to hurt us just for fun"
"alright you hate encrusted brat" Abbey said "you had your fun so get out of our barn!"
"Wait" Snotty boy said "do you think you're better than me because you can talk?"
"Pretty much" Otis said.
"That's it!" Snotty boy said as he aimed his rocket launcher "I'm gonna kick your talking butts"
"Rocket launcher!" Peck screamed as all the barn animals ran for cover. Snotty boy shot a rocket at Shadow but he jumped out of the way. Shadow shot tranquilizer darts at Snotty boy only to have them deflected by a shield. Snotty then shot another rocket only this time it hit Shadow and sent him flying right next to Otis who was unwrapping a cowbell.
"What are you doing?" Shadow said "don't you ever want to fight back!"
"We do!" Otis said "but we don't have the courage, the first time he used us for his jokes it was just cow tipping, now it's come to this!"
"look try to do this to fight Snotty boy" Shadow said "pretend he's is a cow and you're the boy, I'll rough him up a bit before you make your move" Suddenly snotty boy found Shadow and Otis and aimed his rocket launcher at them. Then it got knocked out of his hands by a claw on a chain. Snotty boy looked to see a boy in a tiger suit and another boy with a big head. The big headed boy raised a remote and a portal opened. A blue streak of light came out of the portal and spun around Snotty boy confusing him. Too much of Shadow's dismay he knew who the streak was. Then a pink hedgehog and three rabbits stacked on each other came out of the portal.
"Owen catch" the hedgehog said as she threw her hammer at the middle rabbit.
All three rabbits began to spin out of control as the middle rabbit screamed "why do you have this?"
"Owen stop spinning!" Ron yelled
"I can't" Owen said "Stewart must be wearing his roller skates"
"I don't have any anymore" Stewart said "I sold them to buy stuff so I could woo Cream!"
the rabbits strangely instantly stopped in shock and Stewart said "please don't tell anyone I said that" the rabbids then began to spin out of control again and whacked snotty boy against the wall. Then a Sliver hedgehog came out of the portal and levitated snotty boy. But then Snotty pulled out his slingshot and hit the Silver hedgehog in the hand. Then he dropped to the floor and roasted the rabbids.
The middle Rabbid screamed and yelled "my biscuits are burning"
"you stupid animals don't know when to give Up!" Snotty boy said unaware that Otis was sneaking up behind him "I know about every single one of you! And I will destroy you all as if I was playing Cow Tipping!" then he was pushed onto his back and a jet-pack started to spark out of control.
"That's called 'Boy Tipping'" Otis said. Then he imitated Snotty boy's laugh as Snotty boy flew out of the barn.
"Nice job dude!" Pip said as he climbed on Otis's shoulder.
"That was so brave Otis" Abby said.
"I thought you were just gonna crouch in one spot and shake your cow bell in front of your ear" Freddy said.
"That was my first plan" Otis said "until Shadow coaxed me out of my metaphorical shell, thanks Shadow"
"Sure thing Otis" Shadow said.
"Wow Shad" Sonic said as he stopped right next to Shadow "looks like you changed a lot of things here!"
"Don't push it Faker" Shadow said
"are these your other friends?" Pig asked
"well some of them but the others I'm not so sure" Shadow said
"Hey" Sonic said "I'm Sonic and this is Silver, the Tiger kid is El tigre A.K.A Manny Rivera, the big headed boy is Jimmy neutron, the Three Rabbids are Ron, Owen, and Stewart, and the Pink hedgehog is Amy"
"nice to meet you" Otis said "I'm Otis and these are my friends Pip, Abby, Pig, Peck and Freddy"
"by the way" Ron said "what did Freddy mean when he said 'shake your cow bell'"
"oh" Otis said as he shook his cowbell "you see when I'm scared I shake this bell and say bell, bell make bad, bad go bye, bye, Bell, Bell make bad, bad, go bye, bye" Suddenly something fell out of the cowbell.
"What the cud?" Otis said as a red stone landed on the floor.
"I don't believe this" Shadow said as he picked up the stone
"ooh a strawberry" Pig said as he walked towards Shadow
"Pig, this isn't a strawberry" Shadow said
"I'll be the judge of that" Pig said. Shadow then slapped Pig in the face.
"I'll go stand over there" Pig said "thank you" Shadow said
"as I was saying this is a Chaos Emerald" Shadow said " I can use this to take us to stop snotty Boy so we can end his reign of terror"
"Let's Go!" Manny said.
Everyone gathered around Shadow as he said "CHAOS CONTROL". Then all of the heroes disappeared. Back at BPD Headquarters Zak, Spongebob and Dib were walking toward the Iron Door.
"Why are we going into this door" Zak said "It scares the stuffing out of me every time I open it!"
"I'm Gonna find out why S.W. is as grouchy as he is" Spongebob said.
"So far all we know is going to see him is a death wish" Dib said. Spongebob then knocked on the Iron door and S.W. opened it.
"What does freaks want?"
"Dib I think he's referring to your big head" Zak said
"My Head's Not Big!" Dib said
"we just want to be your friends" Spogebob said
"Friendship is stupid magic!" S.W. said
"who put a torn in his undies" Dib asked Zak.
"Big headed boy have thorn in undies too if big headed boy know what S.W go through" S.W. said "I lose girlfriend recently, her name Augla"
"whoa" Spongebob said "no wonder you isolate yourself"
"Aulga left S.W. because she wanted whole man" S.W. said
"whole man?" Dib said "what did she mean by that" S.W. turned around and took off his robot arm to show it needed to be attached to him in order to work.
"I lose real one in war" S.W. said as he put the arm back on "at first she think is cool, but then in come new guy and S.W. is out doggie door, she Break my heart, and now I build gadgets here, and only look out for number one"
"jeez" Zak said "you may have just changed my point of view of you"
"we got to go now" Spongebob said as the group left the room "see you later S.W."
"Call me Samuel" S.W. said as spongebob was walking out the door. As they walked away from that door Jay and Sheldon starred with amazement.
"They just made friends with S.W." Jay said.
"I guess its official" Sheldon said as he used his crutches to walk away "Hell froze over" Meanwhile Shadow, Omega, Sonic, Silver, Manny, the Rabbids, Jimmy, Amy, and the Barnyard Animals arrived at a town square which had been abandoned.
"I think that Chaos Emerald has a short in it" Otis said
"nope" Jimmy said as he looked at his wrist watch "we're in the right place"
"looks like Eggman's here too" Manny said as the group looked to see another fleet of airships in the sky.
"Good" Sonic said "I thought I was gonna be bored in this dimension"
"I have a curiosity" Silver said as he faced Otis "how come your not freaking out?"
"Usually I freak out" Otis said "but thanks to the miracle that is television I have seen everything" Suddenly a Monstrous Barn landed in front of the group and gave out a roar.
"Except for that" Otis said "That's new"
"good to see you again heroes" Crocker said "now it's time for Operation D.A.R.K. to go into effect"
"Operation D.A.R.K." Shadow said "is that what Eggman's planning?" Then the monster Blew fire out of a flame thrower and nearly roasted the heroes Manny then blasted his claw onto the monster and it stuck on like a grapple. Sonic ran up the Chain and Spin dashed the monster in the face. Amy then whacked the monster in the leg with her hammer and Jimmy started to rewire the monster. It spun out of control as the Rabbids shot plungers tied to explosives at it. The monster started to lose balance until shadow finished it off with a chaos blast and reduced it to rubble.
"You guys" Otis said "that was awesome; I wish we could've helped"
"maybe once you get some weapons back at BPD headquarters you can!" Ron said
"dude, whats the BPD?" Pip said. Suddenly a portal opened beside the group and Jay walked out
"it's the Bureau of Parallel Dimensions" Jay said
"Jay" Sonic said "aren't you tardy to the party"
"I would've been here sooner" Jay said "except I just found out eggman isn't here!"
"What?" Shadow said. Just then Crocker was beamed up to the head airship and Eggman's face appeared on the screen.
He laughed maniacally as he said "That's right Heroes, All the invasions were but mere diversions, while you were hunting down the fleets, I was collecting Water Stars to fuel my Ultimate plan and now I have enough to put it into action and then some!"
"You won't get away with this!" Jimmy said
"yeah we'll come find you!" Manny said.
"Actually heroes" Eggman said "once Surge is serving me I don't think we'll meet again" Eggman then gave out an evil laugh and the Airships Vanished Back to where they came from.
"Surge?" Silver said "Who's that"
"I don't know" Jay said "But it can't be good we need to find the other relics and fast!" Jay then looked at the Cowbell in Otis's hand
"the Silver Cowbell of Secrets" Jay said
"wait, this is a relic?" Otis said as he showed Jay the Cowbell
"Yes and we need it!"
"not to mention all the help we can get" Stewart said
"guys" Jimmy said as he held up a book "I found this in the rubble, it's a schoolbook on magic, maybe we can use it to find Eggman"
"Good" Abby said "Come on everyone, we have an Eggman to scramble" and with that everyone went through the portal. Back at BPD headquarters Sandy, Tucker, Iky, and Ant were working on scanning the chaos emerald.
"What's the power levels Iky" Ant said.
Iky turned and said "It's over 9000!"
"Sounds like we need to find the others before eggman does" Sandy said.
"Hey guys" Lisha said as she walked in "have you seen Amy's hammer, it's not like something that big to get lost!" the others looked at Lisha with shock
"what?" Lisha said
"Lisha, you're glowing!" Tucker said
"nice try glasses!" Lisha said
"No" tucker said "you're literally glowing, you're red!" Lisha looked at her hand to she she was glowing and she gave out a scream.
"I heard a scream" GIR said as he walked in with Otis, Spongebob, and Lok "someone call off the scan" the group then looked at Lisha with shock.
"or call 911" Otis said
"what's going on" Spongebob asked
"I don't know" Iky said "but we can focus on that later, right now we need to find Eggman and the other emeralds"
"I have a Question" GIR said "if that thing is powerful like you say it is why don't you use that to find the others?" Everyone looked at GIR with amazement
"I jump into this trash can now" GIR said as he jumped into the trash can "ooh, pepperoni pizza"
"That could work" Iky said as he went through with GIR's idea.
"We're still gonna need a team to go there" Ant said
"sounds like you could use some help" Sheldon said as he walked towards the group with jay, and without his crutches
"Sheldon" Spongebob said "your leg is healed"
"yeah" Sheldon said "Jay used a Rubble reverser on me"
"I knew how his father used to say 'you can only fish for so long before you throw a stick of dynamite in the water'" Jay said "so let's just say I was done Fishing!"
"Okay I have a match" Iky said as he read three words on the screen "Magic….Dragon and…..Princess"
"Princess" Lok said as he chuckled "what princess?"
"Wait there's more" Iky said "school of magic….Fairy of the Dragon Flame and….Princess of Solairia" then a piece of paper came out of the machine.
"Darn it" Iky said "that's all I can get but I can tell you it's somewhere in another dimension."
"So basically" Sheldon said "you narrowed down the location to the entire multiverse"
"not really" Jay said "Jimmy found a school book for Magic back in Otis's world maybe that can help"
"great let's go" Lok said "we wouldn't want that Princess to get too lonely!"
"Let me guess" Tucker said "you're thinking King Lok, right?"
"Not exactly" Lok said "I'm also good with Prince Lok too, especially if she's a looker"
"hey Lok" Spongebob said "can you get my sandals, I have a very painful bunion"
"Negative" Lok said "the Lok does not gather shoes for sponges"
"but these are sorcery sandals" Spongebob said "said to be more powerful than any chaos emerald!"
"Really? Sounds like my kind of stuff" Lok said as he ran off "you go on ahead I'll Catch up"
"Spongebob" Otis said "you don't have Sorcery Sandals"
"Maybe he'll find me a pair" Spongebob said "I hear they're Fantastic, now let's open that portal before Lok gets back!"
