Chapter 6 - The Starting Morning

POV - Icy

Next morning - Planeptune Basilicom

The morning sun raised, it was a new day. I was sleeping facing away from the window. My "new pet" that spawned yesterday was sleeping in the side carpet.

I could hear knocks into the door, I shifted in the bed a little before opening my eyes. For the first time, I enjoyed a good night of sleep, the first that wasn't drifted to nightmares or being awoken by a loud television.

I yawned and looked my cellphone, looking for the time, it was 8:00 AM.

I heard more knocks to the door, I got up from the bed. "Coming." I said, getting my jacket from the coat hanger, and opening the door. It was IF.

IF: Good morning, Icy. Had a good sleep?

"Way better than any sleep I had before for sure." I assured.

IF: Good. We should have breakfast, I'll be showing you around the city and guild today.

"OK, I'm going." I left the room, door opened due to the dogoo. Going towards the dining room, I've meet with Histoire and Compa who were already having breakfast.

"Mornin'" I greeted.

Compa & Histoire: Good morning Icy.

I looked around and noticed a severe lack of Nep in the room.

"Where's Neppy and Geary?" I asked while joining by the table.

Histoire: Neptune is still sleeping, Nepgear should be trying to wake her up righ-

Histoire was interrupted by Nepgear's voice coming from the Nep's room.

Nepgear: Whaaah Neptune! Don't pull me li- Oof!

Everybody in the dining room had sweat drops behind their heads, mine didn't spawn a dogoo this time.

Compa: Oh Nep-Nep…

IF: Always like that, Nep sleeping is more energetic than when she's awake.

I couldn't help but laugh a bit and imagine the scene.

Meanwhile in the Nep's room…

Nepgear was being held by Neptune like a teddy bear while struggling to leave her grip.

Nepgear: Come on sis, you need to wake up, Historie will be mad at us.

Neptune just mumbled, not releasing the grip of her sister torso.

Neptune: Just 5 more hours…

Nepgear, being held so close to her sis, blushed a little. Sure she loved her sister but she was easily flustered by things like that. She had to think on something before anyone entered the room after them.

Nepgear: Goodness. So much for the pudding then…

Out of nowhere, by hearing the magic "word", Neptune bolted out of the bed and vanished from the room, leaving an after image. The younger sister, getting up from the older sister's bed, muttered to herself.

Nepgear: Phew... Works every time.

Back to the dining room…

Now we looked to the Nep that suddenly appeared in one of the chairs in less than 5 seconds, almost as if she teleported there.

Neptune: Good morning Histy, Compa, Iffy, Popsicle…

"Popsicle? That's new." Was so used to random nicknames that didn't care so much. "Anyways, morning Neppy."

After Nepgear joining, we had breakfast.

POV Change - Frost

Ponyville - Guest Room

I was sleeping, covered by the blanket. The morning already rose in Ponyville. The sun made its way to my face, where I tried to cover with my covers. I could hear voices from outside of the window, which woke me up.

*yaaaaaaaawn* It was a long yawn. I never had such peaceful sleep in my life. I looked my phone for the time, it was about 8:30.

After getting up, and grabbing my clothes, I went towards the main room. It was mostly empty after the party, besides the usual living room stuff. By the table, there was a blueberry muffin, a note and a map of Ponyville.

I looked at the contents of the note:

"Good morning, Frost.

Sorry we couldn't be there now, we got an important scroll from my mentor, Princess Celestia, and both me and Pinkie will be off Ponyville for a while. I left the map of Ponyville to help you find the way.

Have a good day.

~Twilight Sparkle"

"I guess being a princess is hard work here." I thought while eating the muffin. I remembered that Rarity invited me to her place to modify my clothes, so I grabbed the map and left the room.

*Map added to the inventory*

Checking the map, Rarity's boutique was a few blocks to the west from where I was, so I started walking towards it.

Along the way, I noticed several other locations. A blacksmith, a fast-food joint… fast-food?

"... I guess even Ponyville isn't safe from them…" I just went past it.

There was also a shop that sells sofas and quills.

"Way too specific huh?" Some more steps and I was in front of a very sophisticated building.

I looked at the map, it was listed as Carousel Boutique, and circled with the name Rarity in black ink.

New area:

Name: Carousel Boutique

Description: Rarity's home and workplace.

I saw a string by the door. I assumed it was a doorbell of some sort and pulled it. From the other side, I heard a bell ringing, and a set of hooves coming towards my direction.

The door opened, and I was greeted by a small white unicorn, with purple and pink mane and tail, almost half-half. Her cutie mark is a tri-color shield with a musical note.

"Uh…" Nice… it is a kid. I had to try to keep my cool. "H-hi. Is here where Rarity works?"

?: Hi miss. You're Frost Soar right? My sister said you were coming. Come in.

She invited. I was a bit relieved because she wasn't one of the spoiled kind.

"Thanks." I said while entering.

The interior had a lot of purple in the decoration. Some mannequins could be seen, some empty, others with very frilly dresses. Not something I could see myself using.

Rarity: Welcome dear.

Rarity came in from a back door, using a measurement ruler over her neck, and red glasses.

"Hi Rarity." I said, the smaller horse walked to her side.

Rarity: Welcome to the Carousel Boutique, I'm the owner of this place.

Putting a hoof over the back of the smaller pony, she said:

Rarity: She's my dearest sister, Sweetie Belle.

Sweetie Belle: Nice to meet you miss.

"It is my pleasure." I replied.

New character data:

Name: Sweetie Belle

Occupation: Student

Description: Rarity sister, is one of the cutie mark crusaders.

Rarity: Sweetie, didn't you have something to do today?

Sweetie Belle: Oh yes, I have to meet with Applebloom and Scootaloo. Bye sis, bye miss.

And with that she darted towards the exit.

Rarity: Such a good sister, a bit overly energetic but still a good filly.

"Yes. Kids have way more energy than us. Or at least me that's for sure."

I just shrugged. Rarity did the same.

Rarity: So, you clothes. I never saw a material like that for a jacket. How is it called?

"Synthetic material" I told, but I wasn't sure myself. It was too rubbery to be normal leather and even it was, I couldn't say it out loud, as I was in front of a pony.

Rarity just stared at it for a moment before touching it with her hooves, then adjusting her glasses.

Rarity: It is not the natural kind, that is for sure. It is easy to modify. Can you please remove it?

I did as she asked and borrowed my jacket to her, after grabbing my stuff and leaving it in a table.

Rarity: The shirt too dear.

"Oh… right." I looked to the side a bit embarrassed, before removing the shirt and handing it to the white pony.

Rarity: Just hold still for a moment, I'll be right back.

And she went upstairs, towards what I could assume is her room.

"Sigh… guess I'm not going anywhere." I thought to myself before turning towards my stuff, and start playing my 3DS, more exactly a rhythm game with music from a classical RPG series.

Pov Change - Icy

After having breakfast, I was now following IF around the streets of Planeptune. It was in fact a big city, larger than I initially thought. The games don't do much justice to that.

Although advanced, it looked that Planeptune's economy was based on entertainment, mainly about things that would be considered Japanese in my world. Lots of manga shops, gaming shops, oriental food restaurants, things like that.

IF was telling me about what her job as the guild's informant. More often than not, she had to go undercover in missions to gather information about criminal activities like piracy.

IF: Last time I went on a mission like that, it was a piracy group from a nearby continent trying to break through our game protection. Glad we received word from Leanbox before they could do any harm.

"So you also work with other guilds?" I asked.

IF: Sure do, it is for Gamindustry after all. I mean, the continent in question don't have its own CPU, so that kind of thing goes without control.

"Just like piracy in my world… the problem is that, at least the specific part that I came from, piracy is sort of welcome, since the prices are just too high." I explained to IF.

IF: I'm just glad that at least you had conscience of that. Now I see the whole "unfitting" part of you living there. Oh hey, here we are.

We stopped in front of a big department store. By the size, it would be considered a small shopping center.

We stepped in front of the door, which opened automatically. We both went inside the shop, not aware that someone was following us from a distance.

?: So… this is the one that made made a ripple yesterday huh?

?#2: You sure? He seems a normal guy, maybe is Iffy's boyfriend or something. You worry too much…

?: I'm sure I saw him going towards the basilicom with the younger you and her sister though…

?#2: Oh really? He looks like a loser though… can't be courting anyone…

?: (I feel a ripple effect before this guy showed up, maybe I finally can record something interesting for once…) Why don't you ask your younger self or something? You know how loudmouth she is.

?#2: Manners, Crostie. But you're right though, let's go to the basilicom.

And with that, both left towards the basilicom.

POV change - Twilight Sparkle

"I wonder what is that important."

Pinkie and I were on the train for Canterlot. Although I went there a couple of times per month to visit my parents and mentor, today was something different…

Earlier that day…

The morning sun reflected through the walls of the crystal castle, I was waking up, early as usual. Spike wasn't on his bed. That little dragon almost always woke up before me to make breakfast.

"Yaaaaawn" I got up from my bed and went towards the window. It was a normal day in Ponyville. Some ponies were setting up their commerce as early as possible, birds sang and the village green as ever.

After brushing my mane, I went towards the kitchen, where Spike was making some pancakes.

"Good morning Spike."

Spike: Morning Twilight, slept well?

"As always. You got up early though."

Spike: Yes. I was sleeping like a brick, but it seems my job as a mailbox is not over I guess.

Spike pointed with the spatula to the table, where a scroll, closed, was on it.

"A scroll? How rare…" With my magic, I opened the scroll, and went through its contents.

"Dear Princess Twilight,

I have to request your presence at my castle to discuss a very important matter with you. Please bring Pinkie Pie.

~You mentor, Princess Celestia."

"Something important huh?" I said while cutting the pancakes. It is rare to Princess Celestia to send me scrolls since I'm now a princess, she usually uses telepathy.

I quickly ate my breakfast. "Thanks Spike. Please take care of the castle." I said, before rushing towards the entrance, and then towards Sugarcube Corner.

Sugarcube Corner didn't open yet, so I knocked the door. The one who opened it was Mr. Cake, he is a yellow stallion, with orange mane and tail. He also wears a striped bowtie and a hat, both orange and white, and His complex is a bit more "square" than other ponies.

Mr. Cake: Oh, hello Princess. *He bows down to me*

"Hello Mr. Cake, is Pinkie Pie awake?" I asked him.

Mr. Cake: Sure, she's coming down any second now.

Coming downstairs, hopping every step, there was Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie Pie: Hihi Twilight! Why are you coming so early?

"I received a letter from Princess Celestia, she's requiring our presence in her castle as soon as possible."

Pinkie Pie: So soon? I was supposed to help the Cakes to… well… bake some cakes.

Mr. Cake intervened in the conversation.

Mr. Cake: No no Pinkie, Princess Celestia's request is more important than that. And don't worry, it is nothing that we can't handle ourselves.

Pinkie Pie: Are you sure Mr. Cake?

Mr. Cake: Sure as always, just go, and say hello to Princess Celestia for me.

"So it is all set?

Pinkie Pie: Just one second…

Pinkie Pie rushed upstairs, and exactly 2 seconds later she came down with her traveling bags.

Pinkie Pie: Now I'm ready, let's go!

Back to present time

The train rocked on the rails, I could see Canterlot in the distance. We were almost there.

Pinkie Pie was just rocking to the sides, maybe in a rhythm of one song in her head or something. I just shrugged and looked back to the window.

30 minutes later

We were in front of Canterlot Castle. It was a very big castle, white walls and some towers. I could spot Princess Luna in one of them, just looking around. She spotted me, so I waved to her. She waved back and entered the tower.

In front of the castle gates, the royal guard bowed to me and greeted.

Royal Guard: Hello, princess Twilight. Princess Celestia told me about your arrival.

"Thank you." I thanked him and the gates opened to the main hall, where Princess Celestia was waiting.

New character data:

Name: Princess Celestia

Occupation: Princess of Equestria

Description: Very tall, white pony with a sun for Cutie mark. Has a motherly personality.

"Princess!" I rushed to her, stopping near, and bowed. She also bowed to me.

P. Celestia: Thank you for coming in such short notice.

Pinkie Pie entered just after me, and bowed to Celestia.

Pinkie Pie: Hi Princess! Needing help with another party?

Princess Celestia shook her head and frowned.

P. Celestia: Sorry but the situation is serious and not a party.

Pinkie also frowned.

"Something happened Princess?" I asked her.

P. Celestia: Last night, Princess Luna informed me of a lot of distortions in a forest nearby Ponyville.

"Everfree Forest?" The only forest close to Ponyville was that one. I knew that the place was dangerous but not to have distortions.

P. Celestia: Exactly. By what Princess Luna told me, she went there and found some monsters there. Monsters that aren't natural from Equestria.

Princess Luna soon came to the room, by the back door.

New character data:

Name: Princess Luna

Occupation: Princess of Equestria.

Description: Very tall, dark blue pony, with a white moon as cutie mark. Has an old fashioned personality.

P. Luna: Greetings, Princess Twilight, Pinkie Pie.

We both bowed to her, she did the same.

P. Celestia: Sister, please show them what you saw.

Luna's horn glowed, and the lights of the room dimmed. In front of her, a square made by magic showed up. Inside the square, an image of Everfree forest was being shown. To be more exactly, was the most inner part.

Both me and Pinkie stayed quiet, looking at the image. Suddenly, something was moving. It looked like a fairy, humanoid, but with a very dark purple color, and a spiky aura.

"What is this? Never saw anything like that." it was a surprise for me. Pinkie was also surprised.

P. Luna: We don't know exactly. But thing is, is affecting the normal forest fauna. Shortly after that a bunny came in close contact with it.

Pinkie automatically shivered and gave a small hop. I looked at her.

"What happened Pinkie?" I asked.

Pinkie Pie: Pinkie Sense. But I have no idea what this one means.

The screen showed said bunny close to the fairy creature. The bunny started glowing dark purple, its coat turned purple and eyes red, and went feral.

Pinkie Pie: If Fluttershy saw that, she would be very sad.

"Indeed." I replied.

P. Celestia: I would like you and your friends to investigate on that, the reason I asked Pinkie Pie to come too to see if she reacted to that.

Pinkie Pie: I reacted to the bunny turning feral?

"Your Pinkie sense. Of course!" Nice. Pinkie would work as a radar.

"No worries, princesses. We will investigate on that matter.

P. Celestia: Thank you Twilight, Pinkie.

After that, we left the castle and rushed back to the train station.

Pov Change - Icy

IF brought me to the weapons part of the store. There is an assortment of swords, sabers and other weapons.

"Wow. So many stuff here.

IF: I know right? I usually come here to look for new stuff for the guild. Do you have any preference in weaponry?

It was a hard question. I never fought in my life, neither used guns. "Uh… it's hard to choose. I mean, swords are cool, but I don't have exactly the skill or speed for those. And I don't see myself using a bow or a gun.

IF: Thought so. You should try a bit of something to see your style.

We looked around a bit more. There was a lot of other weapons. Gloves, dual swords, daggers, rapiers, hammers, lances. None of those I could see myself using. I looked around a bit more, and saw something that called my attention.

"Is that…" By the last part of the segment, there was a selection of unusual weapons. I grabbed one that was sort of a cone. My hand fitted inside it, and it had a small mechanism that worked by clenching my fist, the exterior shell spun very fast. It was a sort of drill. I tried a punch, and gusts of air made a little tornado.

IF: It seems you found your weapon. I've heard that this shop was about to give up on selling those, nobody would buy it.

"I don't know why, it seems very simple to me." I had no fighting experience, but I knew how drills are awesome and effective against defenses. Got a little experience due to a RPG that I played about weapon forging, and it has these kinds of drills to use.

"Lemme see the price… G-GAH?!" I was shocked, it had TOO MANY ZEROES for my liking.

IF: What? Lemme see… 10,000C?... A bit overpricey but not too exaggerated, why are you so shocked? Are you still thinking about prices in your own dimension?

Seriously? She just shook it off as "a bit overpricey"?! If it was in currency of my dimension, I wouldn't expect to buy that in a whole year!

IF: Anyways, this one is on the Guild this time, if you manage to do a quest…

"O-ok." Gathering my composure, I agreed with IF. "What do I need to do?

Neptune: Hello and welcome back to Nepstation!

Icy: Hello!

Neptune: Today's guest is… ohhhh look! A Purple Pony

Twilight: I have a name you know…

Frost: Our guest is Twilight Sparkle from the MLP Verse.

Twilight: Hi!

Neptune: *starts shaking Icy* WHY. YOU. TOOK. SO. LONG?!

Icy: S-stop, you're choking me ;w;

Neptune: STOP STEALING MINI HISTY'S TRAIT!

Frost: *sigh*... Sorry for the long wait, the author had a bit too many personal problems to resolve.

Twilight: That what happens when you have depression and lives in a horrible place.

Neptune: *stops shaking Icy* Very well… So it seems one of my dimension's mobs showed up in your dimension.

Twilight: It looks like so, what is Icy's plan with this fanfic?

Icy: To have something that isn't so silly going on?

Twilight: But you really want to put Equestria in danger just because of your fanfic?

Icy: What should I do then? Keep repeating the same old good days forever? We need a bit of conflict to make things interesting!

Neptune: I sort of agree with him, it would be a boring fic if he didn't do it.

Twilight: *sigh* Very well then, we just need to see where it will bring us all…

Frost: "Extradimensional monsters shows up in a nearby forest, a new weapon is discovered, what surprises awaits both Gamindustry and Equestria now? Don't miss next time in The Double-Insert Experience: Spin2Win Edition".

Icy: Frost, WTF gurl. I don't play that game and you know that.

Frost: I know that, you can say that… we share minds. *Distant Rimshot*

Neptune and Twilight: FLEEEEEEEEEEE! *Both Human and Pony vanishes from the studio*.

Suddenly Icy forms a giant sweatdrop, and we know what happens after that.
