Author's note : Hey guys! As promised a quicker update this time. Happy reading! :)

'Thank you', 'Sorry' and 'Please' were three phrases that Harvey reserved for the special people in his life and more often than not he conveyed it to them in his mind dodging every opportunity to say it out loud. This partly had to do with his philosophy of not letting people know how much they meant to him. The other part of it was that when he wanted to let them know he did not know how to do it.

"Thank you for the lovely tea, Harvey" said Jessica placing her ornate cup on the table. Interestingly, others could easily drop these phrases in casual conversation.

They both stared at the cup on the table. The tea-set was a gift from Louis and Harvey still had trouble digesting the fact that Louis had gifted him something out of the blue. He had said that he did not approve of the cups in which the clients were served tea in Harvey's office and wanted to remedy the situation but according to Donna his eyes told a different story.

"Louis is sometimes the biggest mystery on earth," remarked Harvey.

"I beg to differ. We both know that underneath his competitive spirit lies the fact that he cares about you Harvey."

"So he gifted me a tea-set to show that he cares?"

Jessica sighed and recalled the scene in her office two days ago when she had called Harvey to congratulate him on successfully closing Mr. Shaw's case. She had wanted to tell him that she was proud of him for remaining unaffected by a divorce case. To her surprise Harvey had owned up to the fact that this was not the case and he still had to work on keeping calm during such cases.

"Wow. I have never heard you own up to your struggles like this Harvey," she had exclaimed clearly showing her surprise.

"And you will never again," Harvey had smiled at her and said that She, Donna and Louis were the real family that he had built over the years and it was high time that he diverted his thoughts to this family instead of being stuck with the broken one in his memories.

Jessica suspected that Louis who had appeared at her door then, pretending to have just arrived, had eavesdropped on their conversation and was moved by Harvey's words. This was what had eventually resulted in his strange gift to Harvey.

"I think he meant to say thank you," she said knowing that Harvey had not realized this until now.

"Thank you for what?" asked Harvey.

"For calling him part of your family. I think the thought makes him feel less lonely."

Harvey was surprised by Jessica's words. Apparently saying Thank you was difficult for a lot of people including Louis. But Louis in some strange way had still managed to do that while Harvey was nowhere close to thanking Mike for helping him out in his struggles. In fact he wasn't sure if Mike even realized how much he had helped Harvey cope that night. He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he did not notice Donna joining them. She poured herself some tea and discussed Louis at length with Jessica till she had to leave to meet a client.

"Couldn't you two have found a different location to gossip about emotionally complicated men? I do have to work, you know."

"Oh common Harvey we both know you haven't been working since morning. In fact I know exactly what you have been doing, thinking about Mike."

Her gaze didn't leave him till he quit ignoring her and confided in her that he wanted to express his gratitude to Mike.

"I don't know why you are thinking about this so much. He will treasure whatever you get him. How about something he has been wanting for a while and not been able to afford? I can ask the other associates to find out."

"I don't know, Donna. I don't want him to think that I am paying him for a service that he provided."

"Well if you want to gift him something that money can't buy then you will have to dig deeper and get to know him better," said Donna

"Or I can pay someone to get to know him better and then use his idea," said Harvey earning himself a disgusted look from Donna.

"You have got to stop being afraid of getting closer to people," she snapped.

"Oh please tell me you are talking about Louis!" sang Mike as he sauntered into Harvey's office. The tea-set topic had been a great hit among all associates as well.

"Umm.. Yes of course that's what I was telling Harvey that he should stop being afraid of Louis's friendship," said Donna smiling at Harvey who was giving her a stern look.

"Exactly Harvey. Once you get closer to him he may get you something better than this kitchen set," laughed Mike.

"It's not a kitchen set. What's wrong with you?"

"Oooo defending him already.. that's a first step," said Mike giving Donna a high five.

"Yes Harvey wake up to the one true friendship of your lifetime…" said Donna in a dramatic way leaving Mike in splits.

"Shut up. My lack of friends is none of your concern. And specially yours," said Harvey turning to Mike, "You should worry about yourself and what your friendship with Trevor is going to put you through next."

"Ha-ha very funny, Harvey. For your information Trevor has been behaving himself. Last time I remember him behaving was when we were fifteen and he had lost one of my books."

"Well guilt often makes you act out of character. Which book was it?" asked Donna.

"Curious George."

"Wait a minute. You used to read Curious George when you were fifteen?" asked Harvey sarcastically.

"No no no. It was for keepsake. My mom used to read it to me when I was five. I just felt closer to her when I had it."

"Aaaaw Mike," said Donna as she took his hand in hers. "I can't believe he lost something so dear to you. Why didn't you buy another one?"

"Well Trevor had offered to replace it but they had stopped printing it with the book cover from my childhood days. I didn't feel the same connect with the new ones," shrugged Mike. "Anyway I dropped by to let you know that I have completed the briefs on the Simpson merger and will get them to you once the copies are done. Do you need anything else?"

"Harvey, do you need anything else?" he repeated when Harvey seemed to be lost in a thought.

"Oh no. That'll be all, Mike," he said. He was struck by the idea of a great gift.

"Remember the lawyer I went up against two years ago called Tim Claine?" Harvey asked Donna once Mike had left his office.

"Oh yes. The one who is a collector and has a huge library. You think he will have a copy of Curious George from the 70s in his collection?"

"I don't know but it's worth a try."

"Harvey you defeated this man in court. He will never do anything for you."

"It's worth a try," repeated Harvey getting into his lawyer-mode, one where he got everything that he set his mind to.

The place where Rey drove them for dinner that night wasn't one of Harvey's favorite places but one of Mike's. Mike found this strange and meant to ask Harvey about it on their way back. He would have if he hadn't been stunned into silence by Harvey's gift. He felt so many emotions rising within him that he had to grip the inner handle of the car to steady himself during the drive back home. It wasn't just a book to him. It was a lifetime of memories and a promise from the heavens that he will never be alone. Quite frankly, he had forgotten about this promise until tonight.

Harvey let Mike be in this zone and felt a warm protectiveness rising within him. He felt as if he wanted to protect Mike from any more loss or hurt that came his way.

"Harvey, can you drop me at Grammy's place instead?" Mike asked in a soft voice when they had reached his apartment.

"Of course," said Harvey. For some reason he was happy that Mike chose to be with his Grandmother and not go to his empty house tonight.

That night, Mike hugged his Grammy and cried and Harvey felt at peace knowing that his gift could transport Mike to his happy place whenever he needed to go there.
