Chapter 10

Last time on Magic Protocol:

"Now to get Tali back into the backpack."

"Good luck Harry, I'll be here laughing."

Now

"Welcome to Moscow Guys."

"Thank you Mina."

"So you're Mina, nice to see you in real life instead of on a screen."

"Mike wouldn't you introduce me to your partner?" And while the introductions took place they took a taxi to a apartment building in the center of Moscow.

"Eeh Mina, are you sure we are at the right place?"

"Yes Harry, this is it all we have to do is get to the penthouse and we're in business why?"

"Cause by the looks of it this place costs more than a CEO makes in a year."

"Not really, you just have to know the right people now come on." After riding the elevator up and opening the penthouse Harry and Mike stood frozen in the door. "Welcome to your new home in Moscow boys. Boys?" Smack.

"Ow Mina did you need to hit us like that?"

"Yes Mike I did, you were frozen in the door and we need to get started."

"I'll ask again, how did you arrange something like this." Said Harry while pointing at the apartment.

"Really, it's no big deal, three bedrooms with bathrooms, open kitchen and a sixty inch flat-screen, only I'm still setting up."

"What do you mean?"

"I was busy setting up a small ops center on the second floor when I had to pick you guys up on the airfield."

"Need any help?"

"Yes thank you Mike."

"Enjoy yourself guys, I'm gonna release Tali and crash, wake me up in summer. Ugh I hate jet lag." Said Harry while stumbling to a bedroom.

Next day

"Hello Tali, Whats up?" Tali replied with a rumbling stomach. "Your hungry girl? Alright let's see what we have." A little while later Mina stumbled into the kitchen. "Morning Mina, no Tali don't steal that, your food will be finished in a few minutes."

"You really are to happy for this time of the day Harry."

"What do you mean, it's almost eight." Replied Harry while sliding a cup of coffee to Mina.

"You're a hero Harry, what's for breakfast."

"Nothing special, I was making a full English breakfast. Just a few more minutes and it's finished."

"Good morning everybody, breakfast ready Harry?"

"Just a few minutes Mike, coffee is on the table."

"You guys really are to happy in the morning."

"Did you finish last night?"

"Yes we did, after breakfast we will show you." Replied Mina, now acting like a chipmunk on caffeine.

"Easy girl food's ready."

After eating a healthy meal Mina and Mike guided a blindfolded Harry to the new ops center.

"Can I look already?"

"No Harry, not yet."

"Come on I wanna see already."

"Alright take it off."

"Wow, this is not what I expected."

"Which part, the computer over there, the briefing room or the workbench on the other side."

"Wait, is that my sniper on the wall?"

"Yes Harry, we both have a wall for our own weapons."

"Nice, now where do we start."

"Let's go to the briefing room and we can start."

"Alright, for now we have three leads to follow up on, The missiles were shipped through Leningradski station. We also a possible informant named Gregori and a mob boss called Lazo maybe knows who sold the missiles."

"If it is the same to you guys I'll take Lazo."

"No problem Harry, then I will find Gregori and see what he knows."

"Okay Harry, here's the information I could find on Lazo, it seems he has a yacht in the channels of Moscow which he uses as a base."

"Thank you Mina, see you guys later." Replied Harry while walking away and reading the files given to him.

"So, anything I could use with Gregori?"

"Of course Mike, just be yourself."

"Huh?"

"Don't act like a gunslinging American, just act as if your meeting a friend."

With Mike

"Is Harry already on the yacht?"

"Not yet Mike, he had some problems with starting the RIB I arranged, do you see Gregori?"

"Yes, he's at the bar, wish me luck. Can I have what he's drinking? Thank you."

"What do you want American?"

"At the moment, just having a drink why?"

"Don't play games, I saw you observing me before sitting down, so I ask again what do you want."

"I just want some information and have a good night." Said Mike while sipping his drink.

"Ugh, what is this drink?"

"We call it wodka."

"Next time I just order a beer."

"You said you needed information da? What do you want to know."

"I want to know who Halbechs contact is here in Russia."

Halbech, that's not really name we like here. Why do you want to know."

"I want to know who sold the missiles that shot down the airliner."

"And they came through Russia?"

"According to my sources yes, do you play?" Asked Mike while pointing at the billiard table.

"Why not and your source may be onto something, all that I know is that a month ago rumors started to spread about somebody who sold the Halbech tech you're looking for."

"Thank you, do you have anymore information I could use." Questioned Mike while ordering another round of drinks.

"Thank you, this is all I know."

"But there is somebody in Moscow who could know more, Sergei Surkov."

"Thanks, now let's finish this game and drink some more drinks."

With Harry

"Nice yacht, I can see why people become criminal if this is the pay. Well, let's find Lazo and be done with it." After donning his invisibility cloak and casting a silencing charm Harry boarded the ship and started searching for Lazo. After searching the top level of the yacht and not finding anything Harry continued downstairs were he hit gold.

"Lazo, tell me more about your big plan."

"Of course, after this deal Brayko is history."

"They make it to easy, well one dead mob boss coming up." So after using a cutting charm and a quick stupify on the woman Lazo was no more. "Now back to the bridge and get the information." While Harry was busy on the bridge the ship was boarded again. "Mina, I've got the information and am on my way out of here, how's Mike doing?"

"Nice Harry, at the moment Mike is drinking and telling jokes."

"Next time I get the fun job, well see you soon." After the small conversation was over Harry turned around and was faced with three man pointing guns at him. "Don't shoot?" Just when he thought he was screwed a girl showed up and waved the guys away.

"Thanks miss, was all he could say before he had to duck and evade bullets. "Shit what did I do, kill your boyfriend." It took some time and a lot of blindly fired stunning charms before the bullets stopped flying. When Harry popped his head out of cover to look he saw that everybody was stunned and walked to the girl, used the incarcerous spell and woke her up.

"Now, please tell me why you started shooting at me, if it was because of Lazo then I'm sorry you were his girlfriend." At this the girl started to struggle against the bindings while mouthing curses. "What no reply, well that sucks." At this the girl stopped moving and got a defeated look while pointing at her throat.

"Oh, fuck it, madam Pomfrey always said there's the right way and the Potter way", and he fired a overpowered Anapneo at the girl.

"You bloody wanker, Lazo was not my boyfriend and why the hell did you bind me like this, I'm not into this kind of stuff." Then the girl realized she heard her own voice. "This is not possible, my vocal cords were cut, what did you do."

"Sorry miss but I ask the questions at the moment. So who are you, why attack me and are you a Brit?"

"I was called Sis by my asshole of a boss but you can call me Ashley , my orders were to make sure nothing survived on this yacht and yes, how did you guess? Now who are you and what did you do to me."

"My name is Harry and I just healed your vocal cords, makes communicating so much easier and I would be a terrible Brit if I didn't recognize the accent."

"Right what are you gonna do to me now, kill me, take me prisoner or you let me go."

"I'm not in the mood for killing right now so that's a no, I don't really need a prisoner so you're free to go." Replied Harry while vanishing the ropes.

"So I just go back to my boss, reply the mission failed and let him remove my voice again?"

"Why would he do that? Long story made short, I'm an orphan and he needed a weapon who couldn't betray him."

"Mike's gonna hate me but why not, if you want I may have a solution for your problems."

"What?"

"Just follow me, Mina I'm coming back."
