Case 10: Reverse Time(ology)
Barely a month has past since the arrival of a certain young adult in The metropolis the world has come to know as Rinbo Tokyo. The terrorists are not as they seem, and same goes to the world in jeaporady at the moment. But I Kaworu had to test his trust with everyone at NERV's police headquarters in Japan. So now he's getting ready for battle, and we'll see if this certain life form is truly willing to push through enough pain. It depends on his morals as a human being... Chairman... I was destined to meet this 'Shinji Ikari' I'm sure... though next time we meet him, I won't play host to question his stance on his loved ones pasts...
"Nagisa, you are not to mention any of this to commander Ikari whenever we need you to meet him. So give me a report of what you told the Third Child."
It mainly regarded Miss Soryu's time once she started to work her way into NERV. So only a length of time which was around a year which I spent in Germany as well. So... Shinji knows everything now.
"Really... so you think he'll confront The 2nd Officer Miss Soryu?"
Perhaps he'll be the type to avoid her.
"Good, good. I expect his faith in NERV is wavering... but what about his father? Did you ever meet Gendo by any chance that I never heard?"

Germany, Berlin: January 1st, 2015, 12:01 AM
"WOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO! HAPPY NEW YEARS BITCHES!" A familiar woman shouted as she downed a large bottle of whiskey.
"Yeah!" A large amount of people inside a giant bar cheered with her whom were a mixture of civilians, and college friends. Fireworks were going off in the stary sky as happiness flooded the streets. Alchohol, marijuana, and a mixture of many other fun ingredients stirred the air of a very much alive Germany. Misato hopped on top of a table and took a radio with her as she went to chuck it out the window. But suddenly... she slipped and everyone got quiet.
"..."
"I- I'm A OK!" Misato waved her hand from the floor to assure she was alive and moving.
"YEAHHH!" They cheered again. Soon a rugged man slumped through the crowd to get to the fallen drunk woman.
"Excuse me maam, but I'm afraid you know how to have too much fun!" He said.
"It's in my blood! I-(Hiccup) I just naturally do it ya know!" The woman slurred.
"Well, whatever kills you, makes you stronger I guess." He held his hand out to aid her. "Name's Kaji." He winked.
"Hee Hee! You're such a gentleman! My name's Misato!" She smiled widely like a kid in a candy store. He had helped her stand on her own two feet and he grabbed two random chairs and slid them to the nearby table they stood at.
"You look Japanese? Or Maybe Even Chinese? Tell me, what's a young foreigner like you is doing here in Germany this time of year? The alchohol? Or the kinky men?" He joked.
"Oh boy... well I am indeed of japanese relation, though you'd think a college girl like me would be here for any ridiculous reason like those two. And well... I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm here to get into the work of the MP." She scratched her head nervously as if she wished she kept her big mouth shut.
"MP? You mean Military Police? Don't tell me... you mean NERV? Me too!" He exclaimed.
"You? W-W-What department?!" She was interested.
"Intelligence and recon." He made a gesture of glasses with his hands over the top of his eyes.
"No offense, but you're a pretty SNEEEEEAKY guy to get both of those recommendations. Well I'm good in tactical command, and enforcement. Can't wait to work with you!"
"Same!" The two both laughed for a while until an abrupt silence hit them.
"Isn't the initiation... tomorrow?" Misato asked shyly.
"Y-Yeah..."
"Crap." The two said in unison.
The following morning.
"Good morning Misato." A blonde stepped on a mostly empty train to face a groggy Misato with her face buried in a paper bag. Though a furious red head sat across from her, giving her dirty looks. "Oh, hey Asuka! You seemed to have a good night as usual?" She said sarcastically.
"Well no, not really. I got blown off last night, so I got pissed drunk and past out last night. I'm assuming this woman had the time of her life..." Asuka sneered.
"Well I uh- Forgot that there was class today. Heh, heh heh..." Misato groggily said.
"Wonderful. Can't wait to see another misfit enter the Police work." Asuka rudely said.
"I try!" (Geh! This girl is pretty venemous...) Misato thought.
"I'm here to prove I'm the best! I'm here to become an Tier One Officer! How about you?" Asuka lightened up.
"Well... I'm a good strategist, so I'm going strongly for commander." She waved off casually.
"Commander huh?" Asuka smiled. (SHE'S GOING TO LEAD ME TO MY DEATH...) She thought.
"Yup yup. I just turned 19. But-" She paused and looked her way. "You look awfully young. Or is it cause of my hangover?" She warned.
"Oh no, I'm 15. I'm graduating this year, and I started college 3 years ago. I'll be finishing up this year however. So I'm getting a head start on signing up for MP work. It's Destiny at this point for me to choose this path. My whole family has made important changes to the development to NERV in the past decade, and so it's only natural that I keep that fact true. But my dumb brother is supposed to be here, and he's such a slouch. I mean he got black out drunk last night forgetting that he was supposed to come to this facility this morning! No responsibility, I swear." She huffed.
"Didn't you get drunk last night... AND YOU'RE 15." Misato countered. "Besides I take an offense to that!"
"Well I guess it's fine for you. But he's not the sensible type you know? You want to be a commander, and you're here on the train, right on time even though you're sick as a dog. He's probably getting a late ride at the next stop here any second." She guessed, and as the train stopped, the doors opened up slowly and a man with a crooked tie and rubble chin ran through into the train car.
"Hey big brother..." Asuka yawned.
"B-BROTHER?!" Misato said surprised.
"I had no idea you two were related!" Ritsuko caught off as well.
"Ohh, well hey there Misato! And of course the illustrious Miss Akagi!" Kaji gestured.
"You know this drunk?!" Asuka growled.
"Who you calling drunk brat?!" Misato bit back.
"Oh my, you were so nice a minute ago you two." The doctor added.
"SHUT YOUR FACE!" The two girls yelled in unison.
"Ladies! Ladies! Please it's too early for this!" Kaji shook in fear.
The Next Hour- 1st Period. PROTOCOL.
"Hello mankind! In this participation at NERV's college branch here in Berlin Germany, you are to take this seriously like any other regular college, and at all times, you must stay vigilant to your roles assigned to you in this initiation into becoming humanity's last stand against the infamous terrorists which caused 2nd Air of Fire. We expect all of your duties to become 2nd nature by the time you are all shipped to your respective regions to defend the earth! Now, any questions after what I've gone over?" A slick old man stood tall on a stage after an hour of reading regular rules that should be known in the line of duty.
"Umm sir, I do." Asuka raised hers high and proud on top of a boy who raised her with his arms goggling at her. "I always wondered where an Officer would go once he or she is ready to be shipped out. So is there anyway we will know or how to choose for ourselves if that were an option?" She grinned, getting an applause from everybody.
"Sadly Miss Soryu you do not recieve the option to make a choice. You will be shipped where you are needed. And just for your snobbish attitude, lets send you to Japan once you're done." The man said loudly.
"W-What?! You can't do that!" She stood on the guys head now.
"It's set in stone. Now, anymore questions?"
"..."
"..." The crowd remained quiet.
"Umm yeah. Can we still have keg parties?" Misato asked.
"Why Miss Misato. This is is a college, and it must be taken seriously as one didn't I say?" The man replied. "So of course they are allowed."
"Huh?!"

Time passed, and Ayanami was already there at the college assigned to Asuka's small unit that would soon learn that NERV had it's own dark secrets to be kept hidden away. So I was sent in a quarter into the year to teach them about their spiritual natures...I was there until December, but this was in March.
"So you two look like twins. Anything I don't know about?" Asuka still in a bad mood, she looked back and forth between Rei and Kaworu and had a chill sent up her spine.
"We just look alike for pure coincidence. I understand it must be difficult to see any albino humans still around these days." Kaworu put politely. "It's actually common for those who were born in the days during falling fire to have the traits of pale skin and red eyes. It's said to have been caused by Lilith's own holy aura being past down in the atmosphere. Very few survived, so me and Rei are part of the few to be around still breathing." His facts were spot on.
"Geez... well anyway, we're here after college classes are over to prepare ourselves for our roles In Japan, so We're eager to get prepared for that..." Misato hurriedly asked while twisting her hair catching glances at Kaji.
"You will recive this pamphlet made specially for each of you today. Study it for tomorrow and tell me every little thing you learned about yourself." Kaworu simplified it.
"Well, we might as well head back to our place." Kaji suggested. "We're a team now, so we'll have to go over all of this together."
...
"So you just got the cold shoulder ehh?" Misato joked, mocking Kaji for his personality nature.
"I'm as cold as ice baby. Though my hostile little sister sure has hit the mark." Kaji handed speech to none other than the hot vixen.
"Uh huh, yeah I get it. My passion burns hot but so does my anger and yada yada...But you wondergirl! You're Captain Planet right here!" She laughed.
"A reference to a childrens television show? Hmm. Misato... you're..." She looked nervously her way.
"I know, I know! I'm just a big fat eraser! It's just something to make me more of a scary person huh?!" She joked. "Darkness, I eat away at the light apparently, though it's for my own protection."
"I wouldn't take it so bad! All of these things have their perks ya know." Kaji added his own sympathy.
"Oh boy, this has me pretty bored. I've got a date with some shy guy later, he's pretty cute, though I never thought those boys would be my type ya know. Anyway, I need advice on what to do Kaji. I'm trying to be serious this time." She stood up and slowly walked to her room.
"Well she needs the advice from a man, so I'll be out soon okay ladies." Kaji left to her room behind her and closed the door.
"What happened next?" Chairman asked.
Well... this is when things got interesting. You see, Misato had kept it to herself for a while until she was at the breaking point with it. So you see...
"Man, they've been in there for a while now, I'll surprise them with some drinks!" Misato grabbed two bottles of juice from the fridge and before she knew it, she was already a foot in Asuka's room and behind her white drapes, she was butt naked with her silhoutte showing only. Kaji stepped into the drapes and put on some item on Asuka's chest.
"Hmm, this fits pretty nice. You don't want it to suffocate you though." His form shown him put a finger to his chin to analyze her figure.
"I think I'll just go with this bro. But I seriously doubt we'd get farther than that..." She added.
"Ha, true. Probably pissing himself thinking he's so lucky. But just in case..."
"You know you're not supposed to touch me th-" And before Misato heard the rest... she turned heel and quickly walked back to the kitchen as if nothing ever happened.
"Ah. I remember that case. But that's not what seperated the group is it?"
No. There's a bit more I told him.
Time passed in the year 2015, and now it was nearing the end of the year. The civilians of Berlin were becoming increasingly hostile, panic was about since rumors of a third falling fire became popular, Misato and Kaji were frequently alone, Asuka was becoming increasingly depressed, and Ayanami left for Tokyo already. So now they were deep inside Germany's base. So, this day turned everything around... Christmas.
"So Kaworu..." Asuka said quietly while walking through an alchoholic ridden park.
"Hmm? You down today as usual? Are you dreading the day you leave this blessed country?" Kaworu joked.
"Hmph. Cold as always. But I was just... feeling lonely. I need advice for Japan." She sat on a bench with her scarf hiding her bottom face with black glasses and a beanie.
"Well sure. I'm popular over there. What do you need?"
"Are you coming with us to Tokyo?" She asked.
"You know I'm supposed to stay here." Kaworu stayed quiet for a minute, then he realized something. "You don't want to be around them huh?"
"N-No... my brother tries to touch me now... Misato's sent Kaji a death threat... and Rei scares me. We'll never get along like this... If it all wasn't for some idiot in intelligence fucking off..." Asuka shook.
"Misato wanted to hide it, but Kaji's secretly trying to promote the existence of the angel's. I never would have imagined they'd be at each others throats like this. Our perfect alliance is crumbling before us... how pathetic..." Pale boy said.
"Why are you So- So cruel..." Asuka began to sob. "Everybody I love is either dead, abusing me, or ignoring me... but the last person I wanted to talk to is standing here mocking me..."
"Everyone huh... come with me. I'll give you a merry christmas."
...
"You have permission to take me this deep into base? Just who the hell are you anyway." Asuka was standing high in the metallic rusty elevator which they stood in for over 5 minutes.
"I'm important to the developement of the Eva series nature chambers." Kaworu answered.
"Where are you taking-" The black rusty doors opened very slowly to a pitch black room, and a far crow caw echoed from far away. "-Me..."
"This, will be your Eva." The lights in the room flicked on to a small red crow with small twig feet flying behind an red glass wall.
"I-It's so small! The hell is this?'" She was confused.
"The books for you to read were very acurate to the eva series, but they kept out one little detail. They are born from a mythical mother able to create any creature at will. Lilith. And this creature will obviously grow as any other life form would. So all those rumors of it grown instantly are all lies... there is a life in all of these things, and they are also aware of their tranfer into these foreign bodies."
"THAT'S GODDAMN LUDICROUS! Some innocent person is forced to grown in that monster? Is that what you're telling me?" Asuka said with frustration.
"It's not a forced procedure I'll have you know. Every person in these life forms are volunteers... by choice, they are satisfied to saddle the heroes of earth on their backs. So... no need to feel sorry." Kaworu spoke softly and gave the crow a soft smile. It stopped its frantic cries. "Come on, lets head up. THIS will cheer you up."
"Volunteers..." Asuka whispered. She was ready to walk back into the elevator until she heard a faint voice say something.
"Sweetie?" And a flash of a field of strawberries was clear in Asuka's mind...
"Wait? So you know for sure that's what she pictured?"
Yes. She immediately thought of her mother and their favorite spot...
"So, there's still one last thing?"
Yes.
Asuka smiled faintly and she walked back into the elevator pulling her scarf back up to hide her hopeful grin. "So I'll be working with her..." She asked Kaworu.
"Heh. So you already know who it is? That's wonderful." Kaworu reached for something in his front shirt pocket. "Here. I reveal to you." He had a picture of Asuka as a child behind her mother's leg teasing a young boy with silly faces, as the other cowered behind another woman standing towards her.
"This is me right before my mom went-" And it hit her. "WAIT! That's-"
"He'll be your partner in Japan. So you'll have to wait patiently for him. So, are you looking forward to your job now?" He handed the sepia tone picture to her and he looked down ominously at the floor.
"How do you know all this...Tell me! What's his-" Asuka looked towards him but saw that nobody was there. "What is his name. Kaworu, where the hell did you go? Where, Where, WHERE?!" She yelled to herself, only to see his wet shoe prints left on the floor of the elevator.
"You seemed to have left a lot out in this little story of yours. But no matter. This is all you told Shinji Ikari?"
Yeah... I'm not sure what he thinks of it. He's out ready to fight an Angel. It's a large creature lurking in the waters, so we'll see how he treats his comrades now.
INTERMISSION
TOKYO POLICE 2016
Forward Time(ology)
Misato was in a rented Silver Firebird and she had the 3 kids in the car, with Ayanami as passenger, and of course the couple in the back. Kaji was on the sea shores setting up sonar along with the rest of the staff preparing their Eva's and Nature Chambers. Everybody was upbeat and prepared for battle, except for Shinji. Even Rei was confident in the battle.
"Man oh man, we're going to take this sucker down quicker than you can say... Uh... What's faster than- OH! Faster than you can say BAKA!" Asuka joked.
"Faster than calling it an idiot? (Sigh) That's just like you." Misato grinned. "How about you Shinji? You're pretty quiet? You still feel sick?" Misato calmed her frantic driving through the desert.
"Heh, yeah. I didn't think using a different device would take such a toll on me. I bet I'll feel good as new once I'm back home!" Shinji fooled the others.
"We're coming up on the beach. Let's get ready." Rei intervened. The car stopped on the beach and in a large metallic storage unit were the 3 chambers. And right beside it were 3 tall pillars with ramps leading out in front of the chambers. All passengers stepped out of the car and Misato left to the other side of the beach where a square building with a sonar dish on top was spinning.
"Good luck kids!" Misato waved.
"Don't worry! FAST! AS! BAKA!" Asuka cheered. Soon she would turn towards Shinji clasping his palm with hers. "Good luck she says, ha. I know how to give YOU good luck!" She winked.
"O-Oh really?" Shinji wondered what she lead to.
"You don't know? Well it's a good luck kiss obviously!" She teased him again. She went to slowly pull him but he tripped on a rock with his face in the sand.
"Heh, my bad." Shinji laughed.
"No worries, It's fine! Now wipe that sand off your face and-" Shinji brushed himself off and walked into the tin can without looking Asuka's way as if she wasn't there. "What the hell's his problem?" Asuka feeling hostile that she was turned down so rudely. So she followed him in as well. "Hey! YOU GOT A PROBLEM?!" She snapped at him as he was taking his shirt off.
"N-No! What do you mean?" He quickly jumped back in nervousness.
"You're avoiding me aren't you?! I CAN TELL! You sat as far away from me as possible in the car, you tripped on purpose to avoid kissing me, and now you're changing oh so quickly! What did Kaworu say to- " She stopped and quickly shook in place. "What did he say to you?" She asked nicely.
"Well... I don't know what to think of... Kaji anymore. But... You on the other hand... I'm positive on what I think of you." Shinji proceeded to put on his officer suit, and reached for his bunny mask.
"M-Me... Well... What did he tell you? Please."
"That year in Germany before you came here. I've learned so much about you guys last night...So give me time please." He put on the bunny mask. "I just know that you will always mean... 'Something' to me. Not as a friend I mean. Ha." Shinji grinned trying to look cool.
"Ohh." Asuka blushed like the hottest magma to flow from a volcano. "You're too forgiving."
...
"All of us together again. Except that pale boy's not here. We got Shinji as his replacement." Misato stretched back in a chair that was in front of a surveillance monitor.
"A better slot for the team I'd have to say. He's definitely the hero of this story!" Kaji applauded the kid.
"Sooner or later he's going to want to avoid us adults however. Maybe you specifically." She pointed a finger at Kaji.
"I was doing things I shouldn't have. I know already." He pouted.
"You only stopped this year because you were away from the activities you were so close to. But what's stopping you from doing it here? Just 9 months after not seeing your little sister has you a changed man?" Misato put him down.
"A lot changed even before then. So have you. So why do you dwell on the past so much?"
"Lives were at stake because of the situation we were in. If it had come down to it, you would have to kill me. Same for you. If you try anything- AND I MEAN ANYTHING- like that again... Our paths will lead down the road of blood."
"Of course! I'm more loyal to NERV and it's secrets now more than ever! You know that Katsuragi!" He tried to sway her.
"Sheesh. Yeah I guess..." She looked to the monitor and saw the waves shake on top of the ocean. "It's here!"
