Me: So did you like it?
Enjolras: I… loved it!
*Everyone stares at Enjolras with faces like "the scream"*
Courfeyrac: All right. Who are you and what did you do to Enjolras! Eppy! How did you even get Enjy to watch Frozen?
Me: Um… I have my ways…
*in the background Enjolras starts singing "for the first time in forever"*
Gavroche: She shoved him in a sack and threw a snow globe at it! Like in Rise of the Guardians! It was soooo cool!
Courfeyrac: YOU HAVE AN AWSOME MAGICAL SNOW GLOBE?! LIKE NORTH?
Me: Sorry, that info is classified *to Gavroche* I thought that was our secret!
Gavroche: But now Courfeyrac gets to give me ice cream!
Me: How do you even know about ice cream?
Gavroche: We got some after seeing Frozen.
Me: Oh yeah.
Courfeyrac: Please let me go see Frozen with your snow globe!
Me: *getting an idea*: Of course, Courf! Just do the disclaimer
Courfeyrac: Gladly! Eppy here doesn't own Les Miz or anything else! Now can we go?
Me: Sure! Enjy, do you want to come again?
Enjolras: Yeah! Just don't stuff me in a sack again! *shoves him in the sack* HEY!
Me: Sorry Enjy! Ahahaha! *Disappears with the snow globe*
Eponine quietly walked to the café dressed like a street boy. She knocked on the door to have Musichetta open it.
"Who are you?" Musichetta asked, looking at Eponine whose eyes were hidden under her cap.
"I'm… I'm Daniel." Eponine replied in a deeper voice. "I heard that there was to be a Revolution… and I volunteer to fight for what I treasure most."
There was a moment of silence as Musichetta studied Eponine.
"Great! I'm sure Enjolras would be glad to have another person in his Revolution." Musichetta exclaimed inviting Eponine inside. "Enjolras! We have a new volunteer!"
"Really?" Enjolras turned around looking surprised, which caused Eponine to blush a bit.
"Ah, I'm Daniel." Eponine said nervously. "I'm here to fight… for what I treasure most."
Does Enjolras know it's me?
"Good. That's what we need. You treasure your freedom the most, don't you?"
Eponine sweat dropped. "Y-yes…"
"Perfect! Let me introduce you to the rest of the Les Amis!"
Eponine was led to the top floor of the café. The floor she had made so many memories in the past few days.
"Everyone!" Enjolras said in a loud voice, causing everyone to look up. "This is Daniel. He volunteered to fight for his rights and freedom!"
Eponine looked nervously at Marius and Gavroche thinking they'd realized that it was her. Marius just clapped politely, but Gavroche narrowed his eyes. Why is it that, that person looks so familiar?
"Daniel, what's your last name?" Gavroche asked, looking as innocent as he could. If "he" hesitates to tell his last name, it's definitely Eponine.
"B - Beauxhomme!" Eponine spluttered. "Beauxhomme." She said more clearly.
"You're quite nervous to join the Les Amis, aren't you?" Gavroche said slyly. Now let's see what "his" backstory is for being so nervous…
"Well, yes." Eponine said. Gavroche is on to me. "My ancestors were against each other and caused a civil war for their rights. The one's who wanted rights won and the others lost and sailed for America. But before they left for America, their leader left behind a terrible curse. He cursed his own son telling him that he and all Beauxhomme yet to be born would remain forever here while his heart would always yearn for America."
"A curse?" Gavroche asked.
"Anyway!" Enjolras cried. "We must prepare men! The Dawn of General Lamarque's funeral approaches! Red! The blood of angry me! Black! The dark of ages past!"
"Red! A world about to dawn!" The other men joined in. "BLACK! THE NIGHT THAT ENDS AT LAST!"
The funeral approached quickly as the men (and Eponine) prepared weapons and supplies for their fight. The plan was simple; get everyone riled up at General Lamarque's funeral, run and build the barricades, and wait for the National Guard to attack.
Back at Eponine's house…
"Please help me! My daughter has gone missing!"
Jean Valjean was shouting into a phone. He had woken up to find Eponine missing. This was not a good morning.
"Please! Wha -?" THEY HUNG UP! Jean Valjean sighed. The only person who would help him is that one. The one that irritated him the most. The one who followed him around and hunted him down until he stayed in one city. Hesitantly he dialed the number.
"Javert?"
"Valjean, at last! You finally called me!"
"Javert, I need a favor."
"Anything for you, Valjean."
"My daughter is missing. Please help me find her!"
"Of course, but General Lamarque's funeral is today. May I search after?"
"Fine…" Jean Valjean said knowing that better late help than never getting it. "Good bye Javert." He hung up.
Eponine… where could you be?
Back at the café people were gathering in the streets.
"Okay men! This is it! The funeral is going to start!" Enjolras cried as the men exited the café.
(I'm going time skip! TIME TURNER ON!)
General Lamarque's casket was rounding the bend. Slowly making it's way towards the men.
"Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men. It is the music of a people, who will not be slaves again!" Enjolras started in a stage whisper.
Slowly the crowd of people caught on to the song and blocked the parade.
"When the beating of your heart, echoes the beating of the drums, there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!
Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight that will give you the right to be free!
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart, echoes the beating of the drums, there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!
Will you give all you can give, so that our banner may advance.
Some will fall and some will live, will you stand up and take your chance?
The blood of the martyrs will water the meadows of France!
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people, who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart, echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!"
"TO THE BARRICADES!" Enjolras shouted.
Me: YEA! The barricade scene next! Oh yeah, cookies to anyone who gets my reference.
Enjolras: You mean I finally I get my scene of glory?
Me: Scene of glory? If I recall, you die in the movie!
Enjolras: But it's for the people! I died a heroic death!
Me: Heroic death? I thought you died because the people didn't help you and locked you out of their houses… and you were kind of stupid even if it was for the people… You really thought you would over take the National Guard?
Enjolras: Okay! You know what? Just pretend like I died a heroic death in the movie!
Me: But you didn't.
Enjolras: Why must you do this to me? HELP ME REVIEWER!
Me: Don't go bothering the reviewers now. Besides you didn't answer my question.
Enjolras: OKAY! OKAY! I THOUGHT I DID!
Me: Enjy! Stop shouting in front of the reviewer!
*Enjolras jumps out the window*
Me *shouting down to him*: AND DON'T DIE! I NEED YOU FOR MY STORY!
P.S. I realized my story was in a bit more modern time than Les Miz. Also Cossette will be making another appearance!
