HEY THERE LOVE YOU ALL

Her Sane Maiden
Christian
The third day of Rose staying over was possibly the worst. I thought watching her pale, weak and vomiting every 20 minutes was hard enough but this stage of the withdrawal was much worse.
"Please Christian please." She begged clawing into my arm. I tried not to flinch in pain.
"I'll do anything please, just make it stop, please just make it stop." She whispered her nails digging further into my arm. I tried so hard to fight the urge to give in when she pushed her hair aside and exposed her slender neck. I was so tired and had barely feed in the last few days. I thought about giving up and letting her win, just to end the madness of the last few days. Then the image of her lying in Bret's bed bleeding across the pillows flashed through my mind and I quickly snapped out of it.
"No Rose." I said firmly.
Tears and anger built up in her brown eyes. "Fuck you!" she screamed picking up the nearest object – a lamp- and throwing it toward me. I ducked just into for the lamp to smash into the wall above my head. Eddie, who had been resting up until this point shot up out of his seat with the speed only a half vampire could and grabbed onto Rose who had begun swinging wildling at me. She hadn't managed to land anything before Eddie grabbed her but my stomach still dropped. She actually wanted to hurt me.
"Rose. Calm down. It's okay." Eddie gripped her arms behind her back trying his hardest to keep her restrained. "What happened?"
"She wanted me to bite her. All I did was tell her no." I said barely a whisper. I could feel the heat from the hate in the eyes. She never looked at me like that. Not even back when she came back to St. Vladimir.
"You're such a fucking weak pussy Christian." Rose barked at me. "Got your boyfriend her to protect to you. I always knew Lissa was too much woman for you. No wonder she fucking got bored of you."
"Shut up!" I growled
"I probably would have to after a while. And we were just fucking."
"Rose..."
"You know she's fucking Dimitri right? Probably has been since he came back, I mean I would know."
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Eddie shouted as he started dragging her into the bathroom. I felt like she punched me in the face. I couldn't breathe.
"Go for a walk Christian, I'll take care of her." He said slamming the bathroom door shut. I rubbed my eyes to stop the tears from falling as I left my room. I didn't really know where to go so I just sat in the hallway. I pulled out my phone and scanned my contacts trying to figure out who to call.
"Hey Christian."
"Hey Mia" I said quietly.
"What's up?" she said sounding confused.
"Could... could you come over? To my place? I need to talk to someone. If you're not busy."
She went quiet for a moment then said "I'll be right over."
Mia arrived at my place 10 minutes later looking a little surprised to see me outside in hall.
"Are you locked out?" she asked.
"no." I said patting the space next to me. She was sporting exercise clothes. "Sorry did I interrupt your gym session?"
"its fine." She said sitting down next to me. "Just self-defence classes. What's up?"
for the next ten minutes I started to explain what's been happening between me and Rose. Mia face expressions varied between shocked, amused and sad. I explained about breaking up with Lissa and Rose getting back with Dimitri but still kissing me. I told her about the anger in Roses eyes and the thing she said.
"Do you think she's telling the truth?" I said on the verge of tears. "Do you think Lissa's been sleeping with Dimitri? I know I shouldn't care I mean we broke up but..."
Mia sighed. "I don't think Rose is telling the truth Christian."
"But she can see Lissa through the bond how do I know."
"Because one I don't see Lissa as the cheating type." I almost pointing out that Lissa had once kissed someone else but really didn't want to get into the whole Avery thing right now.
"Two if Lissa were sleeping with someone trust me I would know" she joked.
I laughed. "There not really solid points."
"AND THREE... do you think Rose would get back with Dimitri if her best friend was sleeping with her him?" she said giving me a "You-know-im-right-look"
"She hasn't exactly been herself at the moment." I said but knew she was right.
"Obviously she's sleeping with you isn't she. Clearly she not sane in anyway." She laughed but then got very serious. "Look this is how I see it Lissa isn't sleeping with Dimitri. She wouldn't do that to Rose seeing as she knows how much she loves him. She is sleeping you though so she's clearly not in the right state of mind right now."
"Ouch thanks." I said sourly.
"No I just mean you and Lissa had barely broken up before you two were sleeping together and that was kind of a dick move on her part. But Rose has been through a lot lately and I don't think she's well."
I hadn't thought about how wrong it was that he and Rose had been sleeping together. Rose and Lissa had been best friends since they could write. If someone asked me last year if Rose would betray Lissa in such a way I would have said they we were crazy and yet it had happened and neither of them had talked about how wrong it was. And Mia was right him and Lissa hadn't even broken up 24 hours before he was sleeping with her best friend.
"I'm starting to feel a little dirty about this whole Rose thing." I admitted.
"Honestly, I'm a little shocked." She said sadly.
"We were just both so..." I didn't know how to explain it. "It just happened so quickly and I was so nice to have this thing. This thing that was just so easy, simple. Neither of us really stopped to think about what we were actually doing."
"It's okay you don't have to explain it to Me." she said quietly. "Just a good thing that bond isn't two way." She joked half heartily.
"Yeah, it is."
Rose was asleep on my couch when Eddie said I could come back inside. Mia had left about an hour ago and I couldn't decide if talking to her had made me feel better or worse.
"Just got a text from Lissa, they will be back at court by dinner." Eddie whispered.
"Okay." I said not knowing what else to say.
"I told her to tell Dmitri to come over when he gets back. Don't worry I can fill him in if you'd like." He said looking at my face. "Are you going to be alright when I leave?"
"yeah." I croaked. "I'm sure between Dimitri and me we can handle things."
"I meant are you going to be okay?" he asked concern all over his face.
"Yeah, Eddie I'm sorry this weekend wasn't probably what you were hoping when I said we were all hanging out." I laughed but it was empty.
"Don't apologize, I promised myself after what happened in Spokane I wouldn't let anything happen to her for Mason." He said getting all choked up. "Although if I'd how hard of a job that would be I might have reconsidered."
neither of us laughed at his attempt at lightening the mode.
"Thinking back to then We were all completely different people." He said rubbing his face with both his hands. "I remember my biggest worry was who my Moroi was gonna be when I graduated and if my best friend would still wanna hang out with me now he had his new hot girlfriend." He said looking at Rose. "It all seems so simple."
We were silent for a few minutes as I thought about who I was before Lissa Dragomir and Rose Hathaway walked back into St Vladimir. My biggest worry was surviving high school till I figured out what I was doing with my life after. Our silence was cut off by Eddie phone ringing.
"It's Dimitri. Ill fill him in. Yell out if she wakes up."
