She was distracted from all the horrors of before as her fingertips caressed the dark fuzz on the animals back. It purred gratefully, never pulling its almost curious gaze from her face. Those eyes were still on Laura as her own slowly drifted shut. (All chapters are based on lyrics from the song 'Dream a Little Dream of Me', but this isn't a song fic)
