The Restaurant

Holding You

As she emerged from the bathroom, he was shirtless and casually looking at his phone. Her nerves started to come back, but she willed them to be easy. She could do this. She could lay in bed with a guy, a very irresistible and hot guy. She took a deep breath, prayed to nature to give her some sort of comfort, and crawled in next to her.

"So what of your parents? Are you sure they're not going to be worried about their little angel?" he smirked at her.

"For someone who ran away when he was younger, you are constantly worried about my parents." She looked up at him.

"My past is far too complex, and I worry that your father may come at me with an ax or something." He chuckled.

She joined his laughter, "No, my friends are very good to me. They will cover for me until I come back." Her voice quieted a little.

"You graduate this year, non?" He looked at her.

She nodded, "Yes, and then I am free to go where I please…" She smiled and chanced a glance at him. He smiled, feeling her eyes on him.

"And where do you want to go?"

"I'm not sure. I think I want to travel for a year before college." She bit her bottom lip, a nervous habit of hers.

He put his phone down and wrapped his arms around her, "Well, I'll make you want to come back here. I'll give you exclusive tours while you're here…"

They both skated by the question of how long she would be here. She didn't want him to feel rushed, and he didn't want to be disappointed.

She nodded her head and yawned, "Driving nonstop here has taken a toll on me."

"As expected. Go on to sleep. I'll be following you soon enough." He held her close as he felt her breathing even out, and for the first time in what felt like decades, he fell asleep.
