Hi, guys. I will finish this story, please just bear with me. I've been reading more and writing less, because reading helps me relax and writing is kind of stressing me. I don't know if you have experienced that. College was also keeping me busy. But I'm in the mood to write again, so here's a chap. I will try to update every other day or twice a week.

Enjoy!

Something I Need

Chapter 10 - Green Rose

"Do I look okay?" I asked Alice and I did twirl.

I'm wearing a sleeveless ocean blue chiffon dress that reached past my knees. It had crystal embellishments on top which really looked cute. I had this dress made rush because the dress that I originally wanted to wear didn't fit me well. Apparently, I lost weight because I hadn't been eating right during the last few days.

My hair was in curls and in a loose updo. I did my makeup, smokey eyes, a bit of blush and light pink lips. I completed the look by wearing my trusty silver pumps that I designed myself.

"You look so pretty, Bella! The color of the dress looks perfect on you, you're so elegant," she gushed.

"I can say the same to you," I told her and smiled.

Alice made her dress. It was even more beautiful than mine. I didn't know that she was capable of making a dress that looked so expensive and elegant. The next time I need to attend an event, she had to do my dress.

She was wearing a silky beaded sweetheart lavender dress. It hugged her petite body beautifully. She had a cute silver headband on, that she also made. I could already see her bright future in the fashion industry.

The only problem with her look were her shoes. The ones she was wearing looked very used and old.

The last time I gave her something, Edward got angry. Maybe if she only had to borrow them, he wouldn't be so pissed.

"Wait here a sec, okay?" I told her before going to my closet.

I got her the new peeptoe nude pumps that came from the factory yesterday. It was from the collection that we will launch soon.

I handed the box to her excitedly but she shook her head. "I can't take that, Edward won't be happy about it. My shoes are fine."

"Ali, you will only borrow them. I'm sure Edward will be okay about it. You can return them tomorrow. Please, they'll really look good with your dress," I pleaded her.

She was still hesitating, but when she opened the box, I think she changed her mind. She took a sit at the side of my bed and took off her old heels. I helped her slip on the new shoes and it fitted her perfectly.

"They are surprisingly comfortable," she said when she stood up and started walking around. Alice looked so beautiful I couldn't believe that she used to be the little baby that I knew. She grew up too fast and it kind of made me feel old, a proud older sister.

"You are meant to be with that shoes," I said without thinking. I just really wanted her to keep it.

She gave me a sad smile and said, "This is probably worth my five-month allowance."

"You know what, keep it. I'll talk to Edward. I'll tell him they were only samples for the spring collection, that they don't cost much."

After the night that I got really drunk and I kissed Edward, I thought things between us would change, but it didn't. Thankfully, he acted like nothing happened and I did the same. I didn't want to ruin our friendship over a stupid drunken kiss.

"But, Bella-"

"Just take it, now let's leave. I don't want to be late and I can't wait to meet my secret admirer." I told Alice about the notes and letters that I had received she thought it was cute and romantic.

...

We strutted inside the venue like we owned the place. I learned that you'd look prettier when you are confident with what you're wearing. It wasn't about what brand you're wearing, it was how you carry yourself while wearing your outfit.

The morning after the day my secret admirer asked me to be his date to the dance, I left him a note saying I'd love to.

I was excited and nervous at the same time.

Angela and Claire approached us. They looked cute in their dresses. Both of them were with their boyfriends.

Charlie should be here with one of the son's of his colleagues, Jasper Hale. He was nice and a gentleman. I wish his twin sister, Rosalie was nicer to me. She'd been a bitch to me since high school. Let's just say, she made my high school life extra dramatic.

I left Alice with the girls as I searched around the function hall for my mystery guy. He left me a note last week saying that he'd be in a black suit with a green rose.

Unfortunately, as I walked around, I was asked by guys to dance with them. I was taught that declining an invitation to dance was improper, but after about eight dances, I started ignoring the invitations. I could imagine Renee glaring. I smirked at the thought.

I wasted too much time slow dancing with those guys. There were so many people wearing black suits. My father was even in one. Why can't my mystery man just wear a red suit. It should be easier to find him.

An hour and a half had passed now and I was losing hope. I also felt tired so I headed out for some air. Everyone inside looked like they were having fun. I wish I could say the same for me. I was so looking forward for this night and then this happened.

There was a gazebo not far from where I was standing. It had beautiful lights on it, but it was empty. I went there.

The music could still be heard from here. This could have been a romantic place to dance with your special someone.

I was starting to dread this night until someone from behind cleared his throat.

He was wearing a black suit...and holding a green rose.

"It's you," I mumbled.

He smiled at me and nodded. He looked very handsome.

"May I have this dance?" he asked in his familiar deep, manly voice.

"Sure," I answered, still stunned at what I was seeing.

He walked towards me and offered me his hand. I took it, but it felt different, unlike before. This sounds cliche, but sparks flew when we touched. He placed the rose that he was holding on my ear.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and his arms found their way on my waist. Our position was very intimate, but I didn't care. This was going to be a magical night after all. It was worth the wait. He was worth the wait.

"It was taking you forever to find me so I followed you here," he whispered in my ear and it made me shiver.

I blinked my eyes a few times just to check if the face in front of me would change or if I was only dreaming. It was really him. He laughed when he noticed what I was doing and I blushed.

Was this for real?

Who's Bella's mystery guy?
