Hey everyone! Here's another chapter for you, and thanks so much for the reviews. I don't mean to bore you, but these next chapters will focus on the Avatar group.
Kuddos to the Guest reviewers from last chapter. Its like they read my mind or something. Good job!
Also, BlackWitchesCat, you asked about Gilbird and I don't want to spoil anything, but Gilbird won't meet up with Prussia for a long while. Poor guy. Wonder where he is ...
Can't wait until we get to that part! :)
Disclaimer: Are these really necessary for each chapter. I mean, its obvious I don't and never have owned either franchises. If I did, I would've had a say on whether there was Zutara or not in ATLA. I also would've had a say in whether Native America and Scotland got character designs ... or in Native America's case ... an actual character.
Chapter 10
Canada grinned widely at all the food in his hands. Even though some of it was other worldly and weird, it smelled so good! But the Canadian refused to be tempted. He didn't want to eat without Alfred and Seychelles. He looked back at the Avatar gang as they started going through different outfits on a rack. At the moment they were all in a clothing store.
"How does this look?" Katara questioned, trying on a bead necklace. Before Canada could reply Toph spoke, "I think you should keep with what you have sweet cheeks."
"Sweet cheeks? Who are you calling-"
"HEY! GUYS!" Aang burst into the isle wearing nothing but red capris and a top hat. "Look at this!"
"What are you from? The Circus?" Toph questioned with a snort. "I don't think we need any new clothes so why are we wasting our time looking at some?"
"We're just window shopping," Katara replied. "It's fun too~."
Toph rolled her eyes. "I never liked shopping, unless we were buying food and we already did, so let's go."
"Someone is too busy missing Sokka," Aang joked.
Katara then waved her hands in the air dramatically shouting, "Oh! Oh! I got one! If you miss him so much … Why don't you marry him~! Ahaha-"
"Yeah …" groaned Canada. "That's not funny."
The water bender huffed. "Fine, why don't you make a joke?"
Immediately Mathew shrunk back. "Uh … hehe ... I'm really not that funny either."
"Don't worry," said Toph, "Anything's better than what Katara says."
"Hey!"
Canada just sighed as his eyes wandered the area. The food was so tempting! He wanted to eat-
He then spotted two familiar figures outside. "Oh come on," he whined before running out of the store to catch up to them. The Avatar gang, watched him sprint before chasing after him themselves. Once outside, Canada reached for the smaller figure and shouted, "Alfred! Seychelles! What are you doing here?"
The two turned around to face him and smiled. "There you are, Matthew! We were looking for you!" The island nation exclaimed.
"Yeah, bro. You sure took your time …" Alfred's eyes widened. "Is that food?!"
When the American made to grab some of it, Canada immediately stepped back. "Don't be too hasty. We'll eat later, Al."
"B-But-!"
"Hey! It's those other guys!" Toph exclaimed as the Avatar caught up to Mathew. It took only a moment for Seychelles and Alfred to remember them and they broke out into smiles. "Katara! Aang! Toph!" exclaimed Seychelles happily. "It's been a few days! How have you been?"
Katara grinned. "Good. Matthew told us about your dilemma and we offered to take him shopping."
The Island nation's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? You did? T-Thanks, we really needed the help."
"Yeah, dudette!" exclaimed Alfred.
"Um …" began the water tribe girl. "What's a … dudette?"
Seychelles chuckled. "Its Alfred's slang for 'girl'," she explained. "So anyway, how did you guys find Mattie anyway?"
"We were camped out just outside of town," Aang told her. "He approached us."
Matthew nodded. "Remember that campfire we spotted last night?" Seychelles nodded. "Well, that was actually them. Pretty convenient, right?"
"Wow! That's awesome!" Michelle squealed. "We're camping neighbors~!"
Alfred just waved a hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, that's great and all but Kumajiro and I are hungry," he announced looking down at the polar bear Seychelles had handed to him earlier. As he spoke those words his stomach let out a giant growl.
"Kumajiro?" Toph asked. "Who's Kumajiro?"
"Yeah," spoke Canada, "Who is Kumajiro?" he asked obliviously.
Seychelles gave him an awestruck look. "Your bear."
Matthew chuckled and handed the food to Seychelles. As he took the polar bear from America's arms he said, "You guys are so silly. His name is Kumataro. Isn't that right Kumakichi?"
"Who are you?" it asked.
Canada cried anime tears. "I'm Matthew ... *sob* …"
America laughed. "Mattie Bro is forgetting his pet's name again~. Ha!"
Matthew looked at him sharply. "No I didn't! I told you its Kumamicha!"
"Now you're way off!" Seychelles cried.
The Avatar gang stared in shock at the creature that squirmed in Canada's arms. "He … He just talked," Katara stated in surprise.
Seychelles chuckled. "Y-Yeah … he did."
"WOW!" Aang exclaimed. "A talking bear! What kind of bear is he?! I've never seen one like that!"
"It's a panda," America answered dumbly.
"POLAR BEAR!" Michelle and Matthew corrected in annoyance.
"So wait? Is it a polar bear or a panda?" the Toph questioned.
Matthew chuckled. "It's a polar bear. They live where I come from."
"And that's … Victoria?"
Alfred shook his head. "No dude. It's Washington D-"
"VICTORIA!" the other two screamed. This earned them a lot of stares. The Avatar gang also noticed as multiple eyes glanced their way. That's when Katara finally realized the attire Seychelles was wearing. "Ah," she began. "Michelle you're wearing blue!"
Seychelles tilted her head in confusion. "What's wrong with that?"
"We're in the Fire Nation!" Katara whispered. "They're gonna realize you're a water bender and arrest you!"
America laughed. "That's okay! If they try, the HERO will step in and save her!"
Toph cocked an eyebrow. "Who's the hero?"
"ME!"
Matthew just sighed. "Please just ignore him." The Canadian then began looking around. "Now that I actually think about it, I don't see anyone who isn't in some kind of red." He glanced back at his clothes. "Maybe we should get new clothes too."
"No!" whined Toph. "I don't want to go shopping again! I want Sokka!"
"Oo! If you miss him so much," began Katara, "why don't you m-"
"You already tried that," Aang deadpanned.
Katara shrunk back. "… I did …?" Toph and Aang just groaned.
"Sokka?" questioned America.
Katara, whose face was already as red as a tomato, replied, "My brother."
"Oh! The other guy who was with you?" Seychelles guessed. "Where is he anyway?"
"Training with a sword master."
"COOL~!" Alfred exclaimed.
Matthew smiled. "Well, hey, if we're going to go shopping, maybe we should eat first before this food gets too cold."
"I'm with you brother~," said America.
Seychelles nodded. "Alright … but where are we going to eat?"
"They've got a nice seating area in the middle of town," suggested Aang. "We can all eat there."
"We're eating too? Yeah! I'm hungry anyway," grinned Toph.
When the group was all in agreement, they all sauntered off towards the center of the Fire Nation town.
I feel as though this chappie could be considered a filler even though it was needed ...
Sorry if it was lame, but I hope to update later this week.
Alright, until then!
