Disclaimer: I do not own ANYTHING
Okay, I am going to be completely honest. I am an awful person and I feel terrible like seriously I haven't updated this in almost 2 months and the other story in FOUR months! I am terrible. Stress and depression really get to you eh? Anyway, I am dedicating my entire Winter Break to updating these stories and adding as many chapters as possible. I am so sorry.

Believe In Me
Patricia took a breath and thought. Eddie had to be gone by now, right? He wouldn't be willing to wait this long for her, right? Yeah, right, he wouldn't care enough. She stood up and strecthed her stiff limbs. She opened the door and yawned, it was really late at night and she just wanted some sleep. Just as she walked out the door, she literally tripped over a body. When her sleepy eyes opened, she saw that body was Eddie. He had waited for her for that long. It had been hours. That idiot, it was stupid to wait up for her. He shouldn't care about her.
At this point and time all anger was just gone. What was there to be angry about? It was just emptiness. That moment when all hope is gone. And shes felt it all before, and he was the one to put any feeling back inside her. Ever. But she's learned that hope won't always travel with her and fate won't always agree, and there won't always be someone to be your shining light to help you out of the dark end. Now that she had no light, she was falling into an endless, black, numbing abyss which she would never escape from. It felt as if she couldn't get any feeling back into her body, and that scared her.
Her eyes traveled over him again and suddenly, unexpectedly, a wave of something washed over her. Not anger, not pain, not hope, and not love, but almost this subtle gentle happiness. And she truly didn't know why. She wasn't happy, nothing around her made her want to be happy.
She sighed, she was so tired and she just wanted her brain and her heart to shut up so she could fall asleep. She was about to get up and go back to her bedroom but she realized she couldn't move. There was a firm, but gentle grip holding her back. She looked over herself and saw that while she had been deep in thought, he had wrapped his arms around her. His grip was light enough so that she could breathe but it was tight enough so that she wouldn't be able to leave.
She sighed once more, a repeated action of hers, and gave in. Leaning into his chest, she gave one final realization. The more that night fell and time passed, the more that their minds forgot, was the more they loved again.

Joy stayed awake for awhile, letting his words run through her mind. "I still love you...". He couldn't truly still love her could he? After all that has happened their love couldn't be considered even real. But she remembered the stupidity that brought her down here to him. The stupidity she has only ever felt with him and his love. His love.
She was feeling it pull her back in. Damn, the second she thought she was out he pulled her right back and made sure she wouldn't ever be able to escape. She was caving, that was what she knew. And he was doing it without knowing it.
She knew she wouldn't be able to perform now, not after this. She was suddenly willing to admit to herself that he was what she wanted and he was what she needed. She was actually willing to say that he was the one she loved.
"Joy?" she almost jumped when she heard his voice, but still she replied with a soft;
"Mhmm?"
"Just relax and go to sleep." he muttered. "You're tense." he sighed. Sitting up straight he turned on the lamp at his bedside and looked at her. She looked so tired and drowned. She looked so gone but he knew she was right there, he knew she was coming right back to him. He gently took her head in his hands and made her look him in the eyes. "Talk to me Joy."
"There's nothing to talk about."
"Yes there is Joy. Maybe about how you look like you're about to cry." he whispered.
"I'm happy Jerome, I really am. Being here with you completely calm and loved is perfect. But I've been thinking, and I almost can't believe you. I miss you. You're right here but I miss you. I can't believe you when you say you love me and it kills me inside. I can't even believe myself anymore."
He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. He took her in his arms, and he could feel her hot tears seep through his shirt. "Maybe you can't, but believe me. Believe in me, because I want you back Joy and I don't care about anything anymore. Just you, I want you." She sniffed softly and with her crached voice whispered back;
"I still love you too."
