Act V: New Earthbound Myth
Chapter 2: Rematch with Dark Mist
The dark heart of earth beats and beats with every past second. The darkness has fulfill the requirement for its revival. Now its time to take form. The heart is covered in darkness and it takes form of a giant black lizard with green markings. The giant lizard stands in two legs with two arms and bulgy eyes. The bulgy eyes twirl around until they point to its opponents, seven warriors with one of them with a strange power.
Utopia(Jake) and his group(Gagagigo the Risen, Heroic Champion-Excalibur, One-eyed Skill Gainer, Gagaga Cowboy, Gauntlet Launcher, and Zubaba General) faces one of the big challenges as a group. The Earthbound Immortal, known as Ccarayhua, is staring down at them. They brought their weapons out and knew they had to fight the Earthbound Immortal or innocent lives near its revival point will get killed and it will not stop there.
"So whats the plan for taking down that thing?" Zubaba General asked his comrades.
"First we need to downsize this thing." Utopia said, "So aim for its legs."
"Then go for the kill!" Excalibur said, "For a young lad of 16, you know a lot about strategy."
"Well I watched a lot of sci fi movies that involves the military taking down large monsters and robots." Utopia said.
The others just stare at Utopia confusedly until Gagaga Cowboy said, "What's a sci fi movie?"
"We don't have time for that!" Utopia yelled as he points one of his sword, "Lets attack this thing!"
Before they do, Winged Kuriboh flies at front of them. Winged Kuriboh keep saying, "Kuri! Kuri!" over and over again.
"Uhhh…..What's he saying?" Zubaba General asked the others.
Winged Kuriboh rolled his eyes other and flies to Utopia's head. The Kuriboh grab his head and tries to turn his head.
"What are you doing?" Utopia asked as Winged Kuriboh try to turn his head. Maybe he's trying to show me something. Utopia thought as he turns his head at the direction the Winged Kuriboh wants him to look at. Utopia can't believe his luck.
He sees Dark Mist walking toward the scene of the Earthbound Immortal's revival. His group then sees him walking towards the battle scene.
"Ah Crud!" Gauntlet Launcher said, "No we have to deal with Dark Mist too? Lets invite the Blue-Eyes brothers here. Then we will have a grand battle royale!"
"Jake, what are we going to do about Dark Mist?" Gigo asked Utopia.
Utopia already thought of his decision. He and Dark Mist got a score to settle. Plus if he was left unattended, he might kidnap or worse, kill Kisara, Winged Kuriboh. and Flip. "I need to face Dark Mist. Alone." Utopia said as he starts walking to Dark Mist.
"Jake, You can't face him again!" Excalibur said as he stands in Utopia's way, "You remember what he did to you last time! You won't stand a chance!"
"I might have a chance if I try." Utopia said, "I am facing Dark Mist not just what happen in our dreams but to give hope and inspiration to those around me to stand up to Dark Mist and his dark ways. I must beat Dark Mist in order to protect the future of those who treasure it and conquer my fear of him."
Excalibur look at Utopia. He lifts his fist towards Utopia, "Good Luck." Utopia responded back with a fist bump. Utopia heads to Dark Mist while Excalibur walks back to the group.
"So whats the plan?" Zubaba General asked.
"Aim for the legs." Excalibur replied as he turns to Gigo, "But you and Skill Gainer got the skill to reach to the upper part of the Earthbound Immortal. You two need to keep it occupied while we do the main work."
"Got it!" Gigo said as he turns to Skill Gainer, "Lets skidaddle!"
"Agreed." Skill Gainer said as both he and the mechanical lizardman starts running to the Earthbound Immortal.
"We'll wait a couple minutes then we strike." Excalibur said to Zubaba General, Gagaga Cowboy, and Gauntlet Launcher.
Back to Utopia's and Dark Mist's soon to be battleground, The Number Warrior is now face to face with the Fiend of Chaos. Both beings look at each other for a while before Utopia broke the silence.
"So where are your allies?" Utopia sked.
"Your hidden ally took out Big Eye, so Galaxy Queen took him back to base to recover." Dark Mist replied while he is sharpening his claws, "But when I'm done with you, nothing will be left but a blood soaked carcass!"
"Not today!" Utopia said as he prepares for battle.
Utopia and Dark Mist charge at each other with grace. Sword and claw clash with great momentum. Sparks fly everywhere. Utopia keeps using his moon barrier move everytime he sees Dark Mist's tail approaching or heading towards him.
They fought for the next five minutes. Then Utopia and Dark Mist stops fighting for a moment. They breathe heavily from their fight. The only noise is made is Utopia's group's battle on Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua.
"You're good. Just like the Original Utopia." Dark Mist flatters.
"Don't you dare flatter me." Utopia rudely replied, "I won't fall for one of your tricks!"
"I know you're smarter than you look for a boy." Dark Mist said, "But I wonder. Why did you take the mantle of Utopia, Jake? Is it the power or the rank?" Utopia knows what Dark Mist's talking is pointing towards. "Or you're doing it for someone you really care about." Utopia's eyes widen and despite the face piece that covered his face, Dark Mist knows he gotten to him.
"Do you think that special person will care for you if she sees you again?" Dark Mist added with a dark grin, "Oh how I know its a she? I seen too many men getting killed in order to protect their love ones which was pointless. But back to our little conversation, how long you you know her. A week? A month? Are you sure she cares for you? Are you sure she won't ditch you for some other boy who has more skill?
"Face the like you, beings like me. The Numbers, like you and me, are made to not save this world but destroy it! Some don't accept this truth and fight against us. Those Numbers are traitors for the cause! You….Hahaha…..you, I see a bright future for you." Dark Mist hissed, "Join me and your true brethren. The world, along with the girl, will be destroyed and remade anew."
Utopia thinks on Dark Mist's decision. What if he's right? What if I'm just another boy. Another bodyguard for a girl. Why would she care for me? Utopia thought and thought and remembered. That one night. The same date that Mana find out he was an Ordinary, she told him something. Jake, don't let what happened in the past won't affect here and the future.Mana said to him that night.
"Dark Mist." Utopia finally says, "Do you think your words will make me join your crazy crusade. Even if she did leave me, by force or by her own choice, look at me now. I made new friends and explored new lands. I'm enjoying life here. Not only that, I enjoy being the hope and protector to Yuma and Astral." Utopia swings his blades and and opens up his wings. "Plus, you don't Mana! And as for you, you're going down, Dark Mist!" Utopia roared as he shoots himself toward Dark Mist.
"I gave you a chance, Jake of 39. No face death!" Dark Mist roared as he runs towards his eternal enemy.
Utopia prepares his swords while Dark Mist prepares his claws. Both of them that one of them will be last standing. They knew the consequences. Utopia swing both of his blades at Dark Mist while Dark Mist slashes at Utopia. After the climax attack, both of them came out of attack unscathed. Well from outside the battle. Utopia covers one of his sides with his left hand as it is slashed pretty badly.
Dark Mist grins evilly as he sees one of his claws covered in blood. The victory was short lived however as Dark Mist feel something is sees himself bleed from his wound that Utopia gave to him. It wasn't just a wound, it was a clean decapitation cut. Before he can say anything, His upper half came loose from the cut. The upper half fell down to the ground hard while the lower half soon followed. Utopia walk toward the two halves of Dark Mist as Dark Mist's eyes turn to chaotic orange to empty dark as well as the number color turned blank.
"Dark Mist, your journey of chaos ends here. I'm sorry if I have to do this to you." Utopia said as he turns to his friends' fight with the Earthbound Immortal, "Now I must continue on my own journey." With that Utopia race off to help his friends despite the wound he received.
