A/N: sorry this is so short. The chapter just seemed to end there. Working on a follow up though. Thanks for all the favorites! Enjoy. ;)
Alucard woke slowly in an unfamiliar place. Memory of the previous night came flying back to him.
He'd marked the girl and her blood was now flowing through his veins. A savage grin appeared on his face. Time to locate her.
He felt the girl go rigid as his shadow sought her out.
'You belong to me now'
Destiny dropped the journal frozen with fear. Darkness shrouded the room and an arm shot out grabbing her by the neck. Books flew off the shelves as her body was pinned up against them. Red eyes filled the room staring at her. Was this his true power?
Fear was almost tangible in the air. She'd never been afraid before. She was an executioner, someone to be feared. Not some silly little school girl scared of her own shadow!
Her Mage gift tried to rise with her anger. Alucard clamped down control over her and it drained away pathetically. Realization dawned on her. The blood he'd taken had increased his powers.
The vampire solidified in front of her and relaxed his grip on her. His forehead resting up against hers, eyes closed. They stayed like that for a moment. It seemed he was trying to read her somehow.
Moving his hand to her shoulder he said quietly "how do I undo the bond?"
"It…it cannot be broken." She stammered.
They were absolutely still for a few more moments. Then his lips connected with hers in a demanding kiss.
As he pulled away from her he watched her carefully. "Your blood gave me the ability to slip more of my magical bindings. Someday I will be free of them all and I will find a way to free you too."
"No, Please. Let me go."
"I won't kill your mate, but I will find a way around him. When that day comes you will drink my blood and be mine forever."
Panic set in. He truly meant what he was saying. She could hear the truth in his words. "What about your master?"
"Integra has nothing to do with this. Someday I will claim her too. There are plans to make for her."
He paused a moment. What was it about these women that drove him so wild? He focused on the blood red haired girl before him. There was something familiar about her. How could he have not seen it before?
"Mina Harker. She was one of your ancestors, wasn't she?"
"How can I be sure? I know nothing about my father other than his name!"
Then he noticed the journal on the floor. "Was there mention of her in there?"
"Yes. It said one of her children married into the Hellsing family, and another into the Burly family." She said quietly.
So that was it. The one woman that had escaped him had descendants living today.
Two women has was mad to possess.
It all made perfect sense now. He laughed.
The laugh turned into a mad cackle.
Destiny couldn't put a finger on it but seemed like much of his behavior had to do with his entrapment. "Is that the only reason you want me?"
The cackling ceased and his eyes focused on her again. "Not the only reason, no. My connection to you will eventually bring about my freedom. There are other factors too. Which I may tell you some day." His hand came to her face and rested there. "For now I have a task to complete. I will teach you how to control your powers and we will go back like nothing happened."
"But won't they know? Christophe will sense something is wrong." She leaned into his hand and closed her eyes. This was a nightmarish situation but she felt unusually calm. The other hand went to rest casually on the shelf and he leaned in closer. "He would. But my powers will keep you from telling him. Why do you think he hasn't shown up yet? I've been blocking him out the whole time."
