Chapter 10: A New Couple?!
Normal Pov
"What?" Lucy laughed nervously "you're joking right?"
"No I'm really serious" gray said not budging a bit "If I had a girlfriend I'm pretty sure most of my problems would go away. Aka Lyon and Juvia"
"But to go that far…."
"It's just a fake girlfriend….. Just for a little while so I can relax for a little bit. Maybe once Juvia leaves me alone I can finally find me another girlfriend. That I'm ACTUALLY into"
Lucy's mind was running through her thoughts. She mostly looked confused.
"Come on Lucy! You said you would make it up to me…. This is it"
"But this is really…." Lucy started to blush
The bell rung and Elfman walked into class "everyone take a seat! Manly learning has begun!" He started to write on the board.
Gray was about to speak but was interrupted by Natau rolling through the doors.
"SAFE!" He got up and posed, smile full of victory
"Actually no… You're a minute late" Elfman shook his head " just go sit down"
Nastu laughed "okay" he walked back to his seat.
Once he was sitting down with his books out he looked back at Gray and Lucy who were glimpsing at each other.
"What did I miss?" He whispered to Lucy
Gray and Lucy made eye contact before she answered "N-nothing…."
Her face heated up even more making Natsu eye her suspiciously
"Oh… Okay" he turned back around
As soon as Natsu wasn't looking Gray passed her a note. Lucy opened it up quietly and read it in her head
'Please Lucy, I'm begging you. This is all I want, it's just for a while'
Lucy wrote back and passed it back to him
'Are you sure? If we do this there is no going back. We have to play the part correctly'
He wrote on it quickly and passed it back
'It's fine with me. I will deal with it when the time comes'
Lucy giggled and crumbled up the paper making Gray look at her confused.
Lucy just nodded and held up a thumbs up
Gray's face brightened and he did a victory pump with his fists, gaining the attention from the teacher
"GRAY! WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO MANLY DRILLS WITH AQUARIUS?" He held up his ruler pointing it to Gray, startling him a bit
"No"
"Then stop interrupting my class!" He turned around and continued with his lesson
He bowed nervously "sorry"
Lucy was holding in her laughter as gray sat back down. He looked back at her smiling.
After less than a hour the class was over.
"-and make sure you study the notes if you didn't fully get it in class" Elfman said as half his class was already out of the door
Lucy and Gray took a while to get out of the class so they could talk to each other. Natsu left the classroom in a hurry to go visit Happy before his next class
"Lucy get ready. Our assignment starts as we walk out of this door" he started to walk
Lucy picked up the rest of her stuff and walked alongside Gray.
"Gray"
"Hmm?"
She grabbed his sleeve making him stop. Lucy brought him down as she got on her toes and leaned to his ear
"I've never done anything like this before… Dating. I mean"
Gray looked at her wide eyed " are you serious?"
She nodded, her face looked like she was embarrassed but also really ashamed of the thought of never having a boyfriend
"that's fine" Lucy looked at Gray who showed a face full of confidence "just follow my lead, I'll take control. This is all just…." He tried to look for the right words " just think of it as acting"
Lucy smiled and laughed " okay Gray, thanks"
He held out his hand, which Lucy took "I'm on my way to PE by the way" they walked down the hallway, gaining stares from all the students.
"It won't be long before Juvia and Lyon hear about this" gray laughed
Lucy laughed nervously, she was stiff as a board. "Hey Lucy, natural. Natural."
"Okay…"She took in a deep breath "I think I'm good" she laughed "sorry. I guess this is a different look than how I usually act"
Gray nodded "yeah, but it's pretty cute" he paused and realized what he said "I-I mean-"
"No no it's okay" Lucy giggled
"Anyways,I'll see you later Gray" Lucy said
Gray looked around not realizing they were already at the doors that go into the girls locker room "oh" he let go of her hand as she walked inside "Find me at lunch, we will sit together"
"Ok Gray" she smiled before closing the door
Gray took in a breath before leaving to his class
Lucy POV
I hurried in the locker room and stripped of my cloths
Hopefully I will make it on time.
I put on my gym clothes and rushed to the gym. I saw the class already lined up.
I then quickly got into my spot, next to that big built blonde freak, the bell rang just on que.
Laxus shifted his eyes on me with a smirk "nice to see you here on time"
"Ugh Laxus please" I mumbled back to him just so he could hear
Aquarius started to walk down the line slowly.
"Your class isn't even that far, why are you late this time?" Laxus whispered to me
I rolled my eyes "don't worry about it…" I shot my head to him "why do you even know where my class is? Stalker?" I shifted away from him
He took in a deep breath and just closed his eyes "I'm in the class next to you and I saw you walk out of that class yesterday"
My face turned bright red "did you perhaps see me today….? With….. Gray?"
Aquarius stood before me and Laxus "oh, nice to see you didn't switch classes Ms. Heartifilia"
I smirked then gave her my innocent look "oh my! Why would I do such a thing?"
"Trying to act cute? That's so fake" she laughed "probably why you will never have a boyfriend. Ugly"
"Damn blondie, that's -15000 health points" Laxus commented
"Oh? And what would you know about me?" I smirked "for your information I already have one"
"Wow!+12000 health points. What an outsta-" Laxus paused "wait"

"WHAT?"
Laxus POV
"Boyfriend?" Me and Aquarious as well as the whole gym shot our eyes at her
"Oi, she's not serious right" Aquarious whispered in my ear
"I don't know this is the first time i heard of this too"
We both glanced at Lucy who's face was already red like a tomato, it looked like she was having a nervous breakdown, We could tell she regretted what she said "I-I-I'm mean..."
"Oh did you lie?" Aquarious laughed at Lucy with a triumphant smile
"N-no..." Lucy mumbled off something "Can we just start our class already..."
"Maybe she is dating Gray... they were holding hands down the hallway" I hear 2 girls talking at the end of the line
"Gray? She's only been here a day and she already has everyone falling for her. She's so confident for nothing, she isn't even that pretty"
Gray... Gray Fullbuster. Did he ask her? Why did she say yes anyways. Ugh he's a weakling just like Natsu! I'm way stronger than him!
Normal POV
"Ugh im so tired" Lucy started to change into her regular clothes
"Ne Lucy!" 2 girls walked up to Lucy who already closed her locker and was just finishing buttoning up her shirt
"Hmm?"
The girls looked at each other first before speaking. "Are you dating Gray"
Lucy nodded without saying anything
"Woah really?!"
"When did you start dating?"
"This morning..." Lucy paused "He asked me out and we are working things out from there i guess" Lucy smiled brightly at the girls
"Ah... I see..." both of the girls glanced at each other
Lucy picked up her bag "Nice talking to you girls. I want to get to lunch early so i'll be taking my leave."
Lucy walked out of the locker room before the bell rang and walked all the way to the lunch room. It was pretty full considering how the bell didn't ring just yet.
"Hey Lucy!" Natsu ran up to her from the table he was at.
"Ah, hey Natsu. What are you doing here so early?" Lucy noticed a blue tail sticking out from underneath his scarf "... Happy?"
As his name was called, the blue cat jumped from out of Natsu's scarf and onto Lucy
"Hehehehe. I took happy back from Mira since she said she had to do some errands around the school, and you told me not to put him in the locker so... he's with me" Natsu smiled and putted Happy who was now on Lucys shoulder
"You know... I can keep happy for a little while... Just for 6th period! Since it's my free period and all"
"Oh really!"That would help a bunch! thanks so much!" Before Lucy knew it Natsu was hugging Lucy smiling
"No problem. I would be fun"
"Oi! Natsu! What do you think you're doing?"
Lucy froze in her place as she realized who's voice it was "G-G-Gray?"
"So it was you. I was wondering who Natsu was getting so close to" He Stood beside Lucy
"Lucy said she would look after Happy for me!"
Gray tilted his head "Happy? Oh yeah! that blue cat!"
"I have my free period after lunch so i won't be doing anything really... maybe looking for a club to join perhaps but that's about it"
"Well that means i can have you all to myself during lunch right?" Gray smirked making Lucy blush
Nastu looked at us questionably "What do you mean, are you guys gonna play a game? I want to come too!"
The 'couple' sweat dropped "No, not exactly..." Lucy said
The bell rung and students started to appear one after the other
"You should get you're Lunch or else it will be all gone" Gray said toward Lucy
Lucy nodded and hurriedly got in line, waiting patiently for it to move forward.
Lucy POV
After i got my lunch i looked around for Gray and Natsu. They were at a table in the corner of the room with Jellal, Erza, Wendy, Levy, Lisanna, and Romeo.
Wow...Looks like the 2 star people haven't showed up yet... Maybe they aren't here...
I look over at Gajeel and his crew, Sting laughing loudly, Laxus getting angry, Rogue eating his food quietly and Gajeel smiling. I noticed Laxus and me make eye contact. I walk over to them and sit down beside Sting.
"Hey blondie. Nice to see you joining us"
"Hey Narcissist, nice to see you being polite for once"
Laxus burst out laughing from the reaction on stings face
"I have to tell you something Oni-san so you dont find out by anyone else later. also you know im not the type to beat around the bust so ill just say it"
Gajeel looked at me weirdly "Good or bad news?"
"Well... One is good news... the other... it cant really be categorized"
"tell me the good news first then"
All eyes were on me at the moment so I quickly spoke "Jellal called me into the student council room this morning and warned me about an upcoming attack on you four, well mainly my brother. He said he overheard some students talking to one another after school and they want to get the drop on you guys. It was something about a letter."
i saw the guys sigh and relax "oh that's it?!" Sting said shoving a piece of bread in his mouth
"and this is good news how?" Gajeel sweat dropped "it just sounds like another complication"
I laughed "I guess it's just information. Better safe than sorry. I wouldn't want you to be caught off guard by anything"
"thanks anyways"
Laxus was eyeing me out of the corner of his eyes. I turned to him and he quickly avoided his gaze
"I'm sorry Laxus? Is there a problem" I glared at him
He put down the drink he was sipping on and opened his mouth to speak but closed it instead "it's nothing."
"hmph!" I whipped my head away from him. I looked around the cafeteria and saw Lyon sitting down at the table arguing with Gray.
"I'll see you guys later. I think it's time for me to get to work" I got up and set my tray near sting who started to eat my food of my plate
"work?" Gajeel eyed me questionably "what about the other thing you had to tell me?"
"I'll tell you later" I waved back at him as I walked over to Levy
"hey"
"ah! Lu-chan!" Levy hugged me "I was so worried! I thought you were ignoring us"
"oh no! I would never" we let go of each other and sat down "I just was hanging out with my brother and his friends. I had to tell him something"
"That's good, I thought I wouldn't have anyone else to read with"
I laughed at Levy who already had her head back in the book she was reading from before
"AH! WENDY!" I yelled out making her jump a bit "I saw this cute little boy and he reminds me of you! He was absolutely ADORABLE! You would look so cute together"
Wendy blushed "umm Lucy...what are you talking about?"
"I'm back. Sorry I took so long it looks like they had to make a fresh batch of bread since Natsu-nii already ate the other ones."
"Thanks Romeo-kun" Wendy said as Romeo sat beside her
"Oh you two already know each other?" I asked
They nodded "oh! Even better! Wendy this is the boy I was talking about!" I pointed at Romeo and Wendy just blushed even more stumbling with her words
I gasped "Wendy do you...perhaps..." She started to stutter even more
I laughed "awh so cute. It's ok I'll keep your secret. Good Luck!" I smiled at her
"what...?" Romeo just stared at us confused
i felt a tap on my shoulder "Didn't we just start dating?"
