Chapter Nine: Multiple POV cause I hate my sanity. Here we go.

E. Aster Bunnymund

Ears twitching, straining for the slightest sound, Bunny bounded almost silently through the dark cavern. He was almost certain that this was the place, if only-

A metallic screech caught his attention, and his boomerangs were out within seconds.

"Bunny?" An accented voice called.

"Oh, there y'are, mate." Bunny sighed in relief and irritation. "And why are you in a birdcage?"

"Is not bird. Is on the ground."

"It's shaped like one, mate. Hold on."

A sharp rap with the boomerang, and the lock was off. North stepped out, gladly taking back his sabers. He then looked at something behind Bunny.

"I knew I sensed something, but who knew that the Easter Bunny himself would come to the rescue?"

Moving closer to North, Bunny replied, "Still can't believe it myself, mate." He took the momentary surprise of Pitch to tap his foot on the ground, allowing himself and North to escape. When they emerged in the frigid Pole, Bunny pointed at the fireplace. "Fire. Now." He told the distraught Russian. "We'll thaw the place out, then work from there."

#Bruce Banner#

All in all, the day was not going well. He was currently holding a gun that some terrified soldier had shoved into his hands, thinking that a method of self-protection would keep the other guy mollified.

And perhaps it would. So far so good. He had even managed to nail a few...Nightmares?

Right now, his plan was evade. Evade and not run out of ammo. What could possibly go wrong?

He managed to take out a whole line of Nightmares as they charged from a narrow hallway. The gun clicked. Hoo boy.

Pocketing the gun, he ran down a side corridor. At this point he daren't approach soldiers, with Loki running amok around the helicarrier, meaning he was severely out of luck in regards to reloading. Meaning he was potentially defenseless.

What could possibly go wrong?

~Queen Toothiana~

"Jack!" She gasped when she finally caught up, having had to deal with leading SHIELD forces to the trail of frozen soldiers Jack had left. "What was that all abou..."

Her tirade died when she came upon the complete mess that stood testament to a battle she had missed out on. She cleared her throat, smoothing back ruffled feathers.

"Hey, Tooth." Jack greeted her nonchalantly. "Hey, you seen..."

Tooth sighed. "If I had seen either of them I wouldn't have gone running off now, would I?"

Jack shrugged. "You never know." He then grinned. "But I was going to ask if you had seen any of the other Avengers."

Natasha looked up when an enraged roar sounded through the helicarrier. "Found one." She announced. "Shall we go play tag?"

Jack looked down at Sandy. "We got this. Us two together, we may be able to calm him down."

Tooth nodded. "Stay safe, you guys."

Natasha shrugged. "Or, we come too. We can provide a distraction."

*Jack Frost*

To say that the Hulk was big was a huge understatement.

"Hey Sandy. I might be changing my mind about this." Jack mumbled under his breath.

Sandy waved a hand dismissively, then covered his eyes.

"Yeah, he's not supposed to see us, but he's moving pretty quick." Jack retorted, forcing himself to hold still and not give their position away.

A flash of turquoise darted overhead, and while the Hulk was facing the other way, Sandy conjured up a huge ball of dreamsand and deposited it on him.

There was a moment of calm, then the Hulk turned to face them both.

"That worked well." Jack commented drily as the Hulk's features contorted with fury.

He then darted out of hiding, taking to the air moments before a fist almost double the size of himself could make contact. But for now, Sandy had gone undetected.

He focused on keeping the Hulk disoriented, be it with gusts of wind or carefully placed patches of ice.

He had to smirk a little to himself when he caught a glimpse of Natasha standing slightly dumbfounded as he ran the Hulk in circles.

That amusement quickly died when the first piece of machinery came flying at him.

"Whoa!" Jack yelped, dodging expertly. "Sandy! Hello?"

A veritable wave of dreamsand engulfed the Hulk, and for a few terrifying seconds, nothing happened.

However, when the dreamsand dissipated, Bruce was laying on the ground, snoring softly.

Jack landed heavily, staring at the man. "Yikes." He muttered.

Sandy didn't have much time to celebrate to himself before Steve dashed in, noisily followed by Tony.

"I thought you promised to slow down!" Tony was complaining.

"Could you keep up?" Steve replied distractedly as he took in the chaos.

"Barely." Tony grumbled.

"I slowed down." Steve replied, slightly loftily.

"Moving on." Tony huffed. "What happened here?"

Jack shrugged. "The Hulk went ballistic?"

Steve gestured to Bruce. "Really?"

Sandy waved at them innocently, only allowing a slight smirk to cross his face.

Jack smirked back at him, then focused back on the Avengers. "So do you two know where Loki is?" He asked. "Pitch ran off, so he's the only threat left."

[Nichloas St. North]

Grumbling something uncomplimentary about rabbits in Russian, North heaved another table into place.

"I heard that, mate." Bunny called from where he was busying himself without leaving the area of the fireplace.

"Should be out looking for Yetis, not doing Yeti's job." North retorted.

Bunny, for once, did not have a scathing retort.

A small jingle caught both of their attentions.

"Dingle!" North bellowed.

About ten elves pattered over obediently.

Bunny's ears perked up in disbelief. "I didn't even know…."

North chuckled. "Don't underestimate elves. Always underboot." Speaking of which. He turned back to the elves. "Where are the others?"

The elves saluted, then pattered off, North in quick pursuit, his presence discouraging the antics that he was certain the dimwitted beings were dying to pull.

Bunny grumbled then followed. When they reached one area that Bunny had never seen before, almost completely clear of ice and filled with elves, Bunny smirked. "Let's see Pitch deal with that." He then looked around. "What about the Yeti's, mate?"

"The Yeti's are warriors." North mused in concern. "But even they would not engage something like this. Likely, they stockpiled and retreated to old storages." He stroked his beard. "Is bad form to reuse old designs, but this is special circumstance."

Bunny grinned. "In other words, we're in business."

North nodded. "We can only hope the others have same good luck."

~A/N~

Hey guys. Sorry for the belated upload (and pretty short chapter). You would not believe the craziness I've been going through lately. However, I should (emphasis on SHOULD) be back in business after a few more weeks. Thanks for hanging in there, guys, I'll be updating more regularly soon.
