Chapter 9 - Diagon Alley
What was the point of getting excited? Even if she got her wand today, she wouldn't be able to use it.
"There are some nice cafes," Hermione added, trying to cheer Sakura up.
Sakura was stubborn but had a weak spot for anything sweet.
"I will treat to whatever you would like," Eriol offered.
"And I will show you the latest brooms," Ron said eagerly.
Sakura laughed awkwardly. Ron was still trying to convince her to try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Which felt premature since she had yet to be sorted into the Gryffindor house. Ron was certain that they would all be placed in the Gryffindor house. A terrible thought of being in a different house suddenly crossed her mind. She tapped into her optimistic will, to shoo it away.
"You'll need to get a broom and a repair kit at the very least," Ron continued.
"What she needs is to get her school supplies," Hermione corrected.
...
"Come on now, the shops are going to close at this rate," Molly said, ushering them into the fireplace.
"It's not even nine," Ron complained, with a loud yawn.
"Cover your mouth!'
In sets of two, Molly had them go to Diagonal Alley by Floo powder.
Sakura thought that with her previous experience of the powder, she would have gotten more accustomed to the method of travelling, but still came tumbling out of the other side.
Tomoyo stepped out of the fireplace and held out a hand.
"How are you so much better at this?" Sakura mumbled, getting up.
"I do not know," Tomoyo replied, trying to brush off the layer of fresh dust on Sakura's dress.
"This is another sign of your hidden powers," Sakura said seriously.
Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, the twins, Ginny and Hermione, Percy, Harry and Eriol followed.
They waited for Ron and Syaoran to come out.
"He never shuts up about Quidditch," Percy complained, "they are probably somewhere in Ireland right now."
"Well I'm sure Ronald will figure it out," Arthur said unconcernedly.
"Are you sure Arthur? He is rather scatterbrained."
"Don't worry Molly dear, Syaoran seems capable. They will get here eventually. Now, children, I'm going to take my wife out for lunch." He handed Ginny and the twins, small coin purses. "We will meet again at four o'clock. Make sure you have everything you need by then."
Mr. Weasley handed Hermione a purple bag and a coin purse. "If you don't mind, will you grab the things that Ron needs. I know that if I give this to you, it will get done. The bag is enchanted, you won't have to worry about the weight. Sorry to ask this of you."
"It's no problem," Hermione said with a smile.
The group split up.
Ginny had the choice of getting to better know the visitors at her house, which she had been slowly trying to do, or hang out with Percy all day.
"First, I am going to Rosa Lee's with the Minister of Transportation for an early brunch, an important man he is-," Ginny cut him off.
"I'll go with the others, I wouldn't want to intrude on such an important meeting," she interjected quickly.
"That is probably for the best, he is such a distinguished figure, I would not want you to feel uncomfortable in his presence," Percy replied and began to walk away.
"George?"
"Why yes, Fred?"
"Is it just me, or are you feeling peckish?"
"Now that I think about it, I am. How about a cuppa?"
"Well, that sounds like a lovely idea. I even hear that there will be distinguished people at Rosa Lee's."
Hermione looked like she wanted to say something, but Ginny quietly said, "there is no point in trying to stop them, if you say anything now, it might make it worse.
The twins followed silently behind their older brother.
"Well first things first, we are going to need to get you the proper currency," Hermione said.
Sakura and Tomoyo looked to Eriol.
"Well, if my memories are correct, Clow Reed would have left a vault for you," Eriol said to Sakura.
"He left me a vault? He thought of everything!"
"There should be some gold in it," Eriol muttered.
They made their way to Gringotts.
When they arrived, Harry decided to take gold out of his own vault. "Come with me Ginny, their cart will probably be overcrowded," Harry suggested.
Ginny nodded eagerly.
While the two peacefully made their way to Harry's vault, Hermione was in a stand-off with a goblin.
"If there is no key, we can not open the vault," the Goblin said.
"I've already said, there is no key, Clow Reed didn't leave a key!" Hermione insisted.
She moved closer to Eriol. "Are you sure there isn't a key?" She whisper-hissed.
Eriol thought about it, but no key came to mind.
Sakura unclipped her necklace.
"Is this the key?" She asked, handing it over.
The Goblin, rather forcefully, took the key to inspect.
They waited in silent anticipation.
"This will do," the Goblin said and disappeared from his high desk.
"Come with me."
Hermione sighed, "thank Merlin."
"They walked with a safe distance behind the Goblin, out of the main hall, and into the vaults.
"Are you sure this is safe?" Sakura asked, staring at the cart.
Tomoyo nodded, reluctant to follow Eriol and Hermione inside the cart.
"You won't fall off if that is what you are asking," the Goblin replied.
"You will be fine," Eriol reassured them both.
Sakura gulped and climbed in.
The cart started slow but picked up to an uncomfortable speed.
Tomoyo couldn't help the shriek that came out of her. When the cart finally came to a halt, Tomoyo was sure that she was going to be sick.
"Here," Eriol said handing her a black, pea-sized, ball. "Watanuki gave me some medicine. I have compacted it into an edible substance."
"Thanks, I will save this for the ride back." Tomoyo would have rather spent the rest of her life in the vaults if it meant that she wouldn't have to go on that cart again.
Her sickness was cast aside when Sakura opened her vault. As soon as the door opened, gold coins began to spill out.
Everyone turned to Eriol.
"You said you weren't sure if there was anything, what is all of this?" Sakura cried.
Eriol shrugged, slightly relieved.
"I did not know a pin-point amount."
"How much do you think we will need?" Tomoyo asked.
"Oh," Hermione said, slightly flustered by the amount of gold, "usually first-year expenses are higher than the subsequent years, I think 45 galleons would be sufficient for each person."
"Take 60, for some spending money," Eriol said.
After Tomoyo, Eriol and Sakura gathered sixty gallons for themselves and for Syaoran, they had taken just enough gold to keep it from spilling out of the vault.
"Here," Eriol said, handing Hermione a hefty handful of gallons, "we would be completely lost without you."
"I can't accept this much money!" She cried.
"Take it," Sakura encouraged, "there is more than enough."
"My hands are full, I cannot hold onto anymore," Eriol said, moving away so that she couldn't give it back.
Hermione took it reluctantly and thought to share amongst her, Ginny and Ron.
"Are we ready to go back?" asked the Goblin getting into the cart.
Tomoyo groaned but got back in. Please let me keep my breakfast down.
"Not a single word about this to anyone," Ron said, red head to toe.
Syaoran stifled his laughter.
After unexpectedly stumbling out of a fireplace in Dublin, they had properly made their way to Diagonal Alley.
"I'm serious, Fred and George... Hermione," he groaned, "will never let me hear the end of it."
"We were lucky the pub hadn't opened," said Syaoran.
Ron nodded, "I'm pretty sure it was muggle owned. My parents would murder me if they ever found out."
After a couple of weeks living at the Borrow. Syaoran had begun to slowly understand the magical society he was now a part of.
It wasn't that he purposely showed off his magic to non-magical folk, but he and Sakura, according to everyone they had told their story to, they had not been nearly careful enough.
"What if someone had seen you?" "What if it had been recorded"
Apparently, wizard sightings were a much bigger deal than he could have imagined.
Was it because he was sheltered by the Li Clan? He never considered the potential trouble it could have to other wizards.
"Well, we should probably get your supplies," Ron said as they entered the packed narrow street of Diagon Alley.
"Wait, do you have any of our money?"
Syaoran shook his head.
Ron rummaged around in his pocket. "I've only got about five or six galleons," he said apologetically.
"My mother sent me a key, the Li Clan has a vault in... Gringotts?" Syaoran said in an unsure tone.
Ron nodded and Syaoran was glad that the bank existed.
"I'll take you there," Ron said and they made their way to the bank.
As they opened the door to enter, Sakura and the others were making their departure.
"And where have you been?" Hermione asked, crossing her arms.
"I forgot something," Ron lied unconvincingly.
"You probably crashed landed somewhere in Bulgaria."
"Bulgaria!" Ron cried, "why are you thinking of Bulgaria? I have always been a loyal fan of the Irish."
Hermione just rolled her eyes.
"He dismantled the Krum shrine when he got back home " Ginny whispered to Harry.
Ron shoot her a dirty look.
"Anyways," Hermione said shoving the purple bag onto him, "we are off to Ollivanders."
"Go on without me, I need to get some money first," Syaoran said.
"I got you plenty," Sakura said, holding an overfilled bag of gold.
"We do not want you to get lost again," Eriol said and nodded for Hermione to lead the way.
As they were about to enter, a large group of would be first-year students came out.
Ollivander, the old man behind the counter, sighed.
"I was going to take-," he quickly came around the counter. "Harry Potter! What brings you here?"
"My friends need wands," he explained.
Ollivander eyed down the newcomers. "A little old to be getting your first wand," he commented.
They nervous chuckled.
"Well," he said going around them to lock the door, "let's get this over with, so I can take a break."
Eriol was the first to go.
Ollivander turned around and brought out a stack of boxes.
"I can't read you very well," he admitted, "so we are going to have to take the roundabout approach."
He opened the thin, narrow black box and began to hand him one wand after the other.
When it was clear that none were "the one," Eriol mentioned Clow Reed.
"You should have said that in the first place," Ollivander replied with a hint of annoyance. "We could have gone through the entire inventory."
He vanished into the stacks.
"I have two wands," he explained coming back out, "that I was instructed to make for an old man, many years ago. He gave me strange ingredients to make them with and had even paid for them in advance. I don't know why he went through the effort since he never came back to collect them."
Eriol must have glossed over these memories because he could not for the life of him, remember Clow ever doing such a thing.
Ollivander handed Eriol the two boxes.
"Which one do you want?" he asked Sakura.
Ollivander wanted to interject, but Sakura lifted the top box.
"Can I open it?"
"I thought this was for you?" Ollivander asked Eriol.
"I'm sure this will fit her just fine," Eriol replied and nodded to Sakura.
"Oh," Sakura said looking unabashedly disappointed.
Sakura knew that it would look nothing like her own staff, but she didn't expect it to look so plain. I guess it is just a stick after all.
"Well try it out, we can't be certain until you do," Ollivander said skeptically.
Sakura lifted the wand out of the box. As she did, she could feel her entire body warming up. It wasn't a pleasant warmth.
"E-," the wand explosively shot out of her hand and over their heads.
They turned around to see the wand plunged into the wall, smoke coming out from the sides.
"Was that supposed to happen?"
Ollivander was used to the occasional explosive wand, but he had never seen one react like this.
"I think you might have been mistaken," Ollivander said.
Eriol walked over. "I don't think I was," he mumbled as he inspected the wand. He didn't dare touch it and decided to open the other box.
The only visible difference between the wands was the colouring.
As his hand reached in, Ron, the rest following his lead, took a cautionary step back. Eriol wasn't used to feeling nervous and felt wary about picking up the wand.
The feeling that overcame him, as he physically came in contact with the wand, was something he could not comprehend. It was exhilarating, but in the same way, it took his breath away, it was awful.
The wand did not go shooting out of his hand, but he felt the urge to chuck it at the wall.
"Well?" Ollivander asked.
Eriol placed the wand back into the box. This was his wand. It recognized him as the owner, that had been clear, but he never wanted to use it again.
"It's mine," he replied.
"Should I look at another wand?" Sakura asked.
"No, that is yours," Eriol said, then walked over, plunked the wand out of the wall and placed it back into the box."
"Are you sure? It didn't seem to fit her," Ollivander said.
"If Clow Reed told you to make these wands, there can be no mistake," Eriol replied.
"Well, they have already been paid for," Ollivander muttered to himself. He shrugged, there was a decided look in the boy that made arguing seem futile.
"Well, whose next?"
"I'll go. My name is Syaoran Li," Syaoran introduced himself.
"Li. Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time," Ollivander said with a smile. "If you are from the family I assume you are from, I think I have just the wand for you."
He disappeared for a bit then came back with three boxes.
"One of these," he said with confidence.
The first two he was presented with was no good, but the last one caused a violent burst of wind when it came into contact with him.
Ollivander looked pleased. "It's not often that I get to see a proper reaction to a dragon heartstring."
Tomoyo was the last to receive her wand.
Ollivander didn't approach her like the others. He stared at her, without blinking for a couple of minutes, before doing anything.
Tomoyo tried to play it cool, and gripped her hands, to keep her face composed.
"I think I have some contenders," he said going to back to the stacks. He spent longer searching around than the others.
Tomoyo gulped. What if he doesn't find anything?
Her mind wandered back to when they had tried to use the cards to see if she had powers. Not a no, but not a yes either. Sakura refused to take no for an answer, and even though she knew better, Tomoyo too began to believe that maybe she might be gifted after all. She had been in an optimistic enchantment during her time at the Burrow. However, as every second Ollivander searched for her wand, passed, she could feel that illusion shattering.
She flushed with embarrassment. I am more sensible than this!
"I wonder what kind of reaction she will have," Ron whispered to Harry.
Tomoyo knew that Ron meant no offence by the remark. She knew that he didn't even know her situation, but it still made her angry.
Now that she had the revelation that she would shamefully be sent back to Tomeda as a muggle, she was upset. Like a ticking time bomb, she was afraid that at any moment she would explode.
Tomoyo was at her wit's end by the time Ollivander came back with a stack of boxes.
One by one she picked up each wand, without even the faintest spark of reaction.
"Peculiar, they say the wand picks the wizard, but you aren't getting a reaction from any of them. I was sure one of them would be the one," he suddenly went quiet looking at her with suspicious eyes, "did you really receive the letter?"
"Of course, she has," Hermione said, stepping in. Even if she did have her doubts, she knew that voicing them was not the right thing to do.
When Tomoyo clued into what he was asking, her grip on the wand loosened, slipping out of her hands and rolling into another room.
Ollivander leaned closer to Eriol, "is she human?"
Eriol was shocked by the question, "yes, she is."
"Completely?" he asked.
"Yes, completely," he replied.
"There isn't a wizard I haven't been able to pair a wand to," Ollivander thought aloud. He looked at her with a new-found determination. "There must be a wand in this store-,"
He stopped speaking and closed his eyes.
"I remember every wand I've ever sold, however, there was one time that I've sold something other than a wand."
They stared at him questioningly.
"I can't remember any detail of this customer, but I sold that person something. Argh, what was it? Why did I sell them that instead of a wand!?"
"This is a wand shop, is there really anything other than wands or wand repair kits that can be sold?" Ron asked.
"There is nothing, yet I sold it," Ollivander said frustrated. "This will drive me mad." The old man paced around the shop, lifting and shoving things around at random.
This has gone on long enough. Tomoyo cleared her throat, gathering the attention around her, it was time to sort out this misunderstanding once and for all.
"I am-,"
"Hah!" the old man cried, cutting her off. He came back into the room with a small square box.
"What is it?" Hermione asked.
"It's not a wand," Harry guessed.
"You are correct, it's not a wand," Ollivander confirmed.
He handed her the box with a satisfied look.
She reluctantly accepted. If it's not a wand, what use will I have for it? She slowly opened the lid of the box.
"It's-,"
"a pin!" Ron cried.
"She needs a wand, sir," Hermione said politely.
"Pick it up," Ollivander said ignoring Hermione.
It was beautiful, but it was as Ron said a pin.
Tomoyo picked up the pin anyways. What harm would it do? Maybe it would become a souvenir of her short time in the wizarding world, something to take back to remind her of what could have been and more importantly that it had not just been a delusion.
"Nothing-," Tomoyo said looking at Ollivander.
A young man in brown cordials, sandy brown hair and bright green eyes was standing beside him.
"Nothing happened," Tomoyo said again, startled by the newcomer.
"You should keep the pin," the young man insisted
"The pin didn't do anything for me," Tomoyo replied.
"My teacher, the one who taught me the craft of wand making, made this," Ollivander said. "He never explained what it was, or who it should be sold for."
"I believe you're the type of person that this pin is suited for," the young man said.
"What do you mean by the that? Am I not suited for a wand?" Tomoyo asked the young man.
"I can't explain why, but I am now certain that even if we went through everyone single wand in this shop, none of them would be right for you," Ollivander replied.
"I understand that, but why is this pin suited for me?"
"Suited? I'm not sure I would use that strong of a word. I just have this feeling that this is right for you. Keep it, it's on the house. I'm sorry I couldn't find you a wand," Ollivander said.
"Thank you?" Tomoyo said. A free keepsake.
"Could you tell me what you used to make these wands?" Eriol asked.
"I have no idea, but I have some of the leftover ingredients stored away."
Ollivander and the young man went into the back of the shop.
"Are you sure nothing happened?" Eriol asked.
Tomoyo nodded. "Nothing, I swear."
Ollivander came back with a bag full of unidentifiable things. "Take it with you, I have no more use for them."
Ollivander then unlocked the door so that they could leave.
"Thank you," they said as they left.
The young man popped his head into sight.
"I hope it helps you," he called to Tomoyo.
"Me too," Tomoyo mouthed quietly.
"Now what?" Ron asked
"Well, they need to get their robes, but we shouldn't overcrowd the shop. Why don't we split up?" Hermione suggested.
"We haven't gone to the broom shop yet," Ron tried to suggest.
Hermione glared at him, "you can go after!"
"Okay, okay."
Harry and Ginny went ahead to gather their own supplies.
Hermione took it upon herself to take Eriol and Tomoyo to get their potions supplies. She had questions of her own.
Ron was in charge of getting Sakura and Syaoran their robes.
...
"What are you going to do about lessons?" Hermione asked, "most require a wand."
Tomoyo's face darkened. "Well, it is not too late for me to go back," she thought aloud.
"It is," Eriol said firmly, "we will cast an illusion spell if we must."
"Are you sure that is a good idea, I don't think that would be breaking any school rules, but how she supposed to get through her work, not to mention her exams?" Hermione asked.
"Hermione makes a good point, what point is there for me to come?"
Eriol looked at her. "I do not know," he said honestly, "but there is something telling me we should keep you here."
Tomoyo made a face. "That does not sound like a good enough reason for me to stay."
"I will take responsibility," Eriol said decidedly, "you do not need to worry about anything."
Tomoyo's pent-up anger at Ollivander's was beginning to spill over. "You would not have to either, if you would stop persisting that I am a wizard."
Hermione waved her arms as people turned heads.
"You are staying!" Eriol cried now equally annoyed. Hadn't I just explained that I was going to take care of it?
"Now," Hermione said trying to defuse the tension.
"When this blows up, which it will, do not say that I did not warn you," Tomoyo said and stormed off ahead.
Eriol gripped his fists.
Hermione looked at Tomoyo's retreating figure and Eriol's planted feet.
"Go on ahead," Eriol allowed with gritted teeth.
Hermione trusted Eriol to be able to find his way back but wasn't so sure about Tomoyo, who she had a creeping suspicion was actually a muggle.
...
"Ugh," Ron groaned. "Why are there so many people?"
"They are so young," Sakura replied.
"They a probably first years," Syaoran guessed.
That is right, Sakura thought, most students started when they were eleven. Even though they hadn't attended first through the fourth year, they were going to be plunged into their fifth.
Sakura who was usually confident had her doubts. Sure, Hermione had her look over the textbooks and quizzed her on its material, but would she remember what she had learnt?
They fell into the end of the line.
The small shop was overcrowded with soon-to-be students and their parents.
There was a loud chime.
"How is it already noon? There is so much we still need to do," Ron complained, "we won't be able to spend a minute in Quality Quidditch Supplies at this rate."
Just as he sighed a couple of store assistants came out of the back, "Lunch is going to be late," they heard Malkin say.
Enchanted blue measuring tapes were then sent around the store.
The tape measured each student one by one, and when they had collected their data, they changed into a red colour. The shop assistant would then rush over to chart down their measurements.
It didn't take long for the robes to be completed after the measurements were taken, but the line was long.
It took nearly twenty minutes before Sakura and Syaoran were measured, Ron spent most of that time swatting aggressive tapes away.
"I'm going to wait outside," Ron announced, "you just need to pay for the robes."
They nodded and he quickly left, but not before getting in the head with a flying measuring tape.
"I didn't know you could afford new robes," said a sneering voice.
Ron didn't have to look up to see who it was.
Draco pushed by him without waiting for a response.
Without getting himself further in trouble with his parents, Ron stepped outside.
They will be finished soon.
...
Just as they made their way to the cashier, a tall blonde boy walked in front of them.
"Mr. Malfoy," Madame Malkin acknowledged, "you will have to wait in line like everyone else."
"My father-,"
"Can also wait in the line if he has something to say."
Serves him right! Syaoran thought.
Draco tsked loudly but turned around.
He took a long stare at Syaoran and Sakura.
"Who are you?" He demanded.
"Whose asking?" Syaoran replied coolly.
Through the little window in the door, Ron could see the scene unfolding. Do I go in?
"What year are you in?" Draco asked, ignoring Syaoran's question.
"The fifth year," Sakura replied.
Draco looked down at her.
"I don't remember ever seeing either of you. What house are you in?
Sakura looked up at Syaoran, who might have been flustered at the question if someone else had asked.
"I don't think that is any of your business," Syaoran responded.
"Not a Slytherin," Draco said with confidence.
Malkin cleared her throat.
"Robes for a Mr. Li and a Miss. Kinomoto," she called.
Syaoran brushed by him and Sakura just looked at him. She felt that she should say something, but couldn't find the words.
"Excuse me," was all she said.
They paid for the robes.
"Li and Kinomoto," Draco said, "I'll remember that."
Ron could no longer just watch and went back into the shop.
"Let's-," a tape went flying into the side of his head, "go."
Draco laughed loudly.
Ron blushed.
"Come on," Sakura said, nudging Syaoran who was glaring at Malfoy.
Syaoran moved reluctantly, there were some things he wanted to say.
"Are you alright?" Sakura asked.
"Fine," Ron grumbled, "let's get out of here."
They left the shop without any further incidents.
"What luck, first D-," Ron coughed, "now Draco Malfoy."
"Do you know him?" Syaoran asked.
"Not by choice."
…
Hermione led Tomoyo to Flourish & Blotts, turning around occasionally to see if Eriol was still behind them.
This was like the fourth year all over again; Hermione hated to be in the middle of a dispute. It wasn't fair to her, she barely knew them.
To her luck, Eriol was sulking at a close distance.
They went in separate directions, the moment they entered the shop.
As long as they are both here.
She let Eriol gather his own books and looked after Tomoyo.
"We will need one of these, one of these, and one of these," Hermione said grabbing doubles of every textbook they needed.
"Am I in your way?" Tomoyo asked, looking towards her.
"In the way of what?" Hermione asked.
Tomoyo then looked straight at her.
"Oh, someone was just trying to look at the shelf behind us," Tomoyo explained.
Hermione looked behind her, there was no one walking away.
The shop door opened, Ron came in looking tired, Syaoran tense and Sakura was wearing an awkward smile.
"I would wait to get your robes," Ron warned.
"Why?" Hermione asked, glad that she wasn't the only person in between Eriol and Tomoyo now.
"Malfoy," he said.
One word said it all.
Hermione's face scrunched up together.
As Harry's number one nemesis, close behind you-know-who, he was automatically hers. Hermione might not have hated him so much if he hadn't continuously teased her right along with Harry.
"Well," Hermione replied, "let's get the rest of our stuff so we can go look at what we want to."
...
"I'm not even in the mood to look at books," Hermione said as they passed by Flourish & Blotts.
Ron gave her a look, "are you feeling alright?"
"I just want a cuppa," she replied.
"I still want to look at the new broom collection. I may also buy a repair kit," Ron said eagerly.
"Have we gotten everything?" Sakura asked.
"Just the basic potion supplies now," Hermione said.
"I just thought of something," Ron said, suddenly excited.
"Is it about a broom?"
"No, well that too, but I forgot to mention that you are allowed to bring an animal to school; a cat, mouse, owl or toad."
Ron looked behind him to see if anyone else was excited by this news.
Tomoyo and Eriol were still facing opposite directions, and Syaoran was wearing a menacing scowl.
"Well I mean I have Kero and Eriol has Suppie," Sakura replied.
"Syaoran?" Ron said cautiously.
Syaoran snapped out of it. "Oh, a pet? I don't know if that would be a good idea... Maybe Tomoyo?"
Tomoyo stared ahead, not seeing what was in front of her, and ran straight into a tall girl. The girl lost her balance and her pink pouch went flying.
"I am so sorry," Tomoyo cried snapping out of it.
"That's alright," the girl replied.
Sakura retrieved the pink pouch and returned it to the girl.
"Thanks," the girl replied before leaving.
"Are you okay?" Sakura asked Tomoyo.
"Just a little tired," Tomoyo lied.
"What do you think about an owl? They are useful," Ron suggested, not dropping the subject.
"That might not be a bad idea," Hermione agreed.
Tomoyo wasn't opposed to an owl, but she didn't see the point. Dumbledore was going to make her go home and what was she supposed to do with an owl? She could send Sakura letters, but that all depended on if her memories of her were going to be intact or not
"You could get a cat," Sakura said to Syaoran.
"Just make sure it's not as ugly as Hermione's," Ron said.
Hermione smacked him. "Crookshanks is the world's cutest cat, leave him out of it!"
"Cat," Syaoran pondered aloud. He had never imagined himself owning any kind of animal.
"I wish I could have a cat, it would probably try to eat Kero though," Sakura said.
"Maybe I should get a cat," Syaoran muttered to himself.
"We can stop by the shop after we get the last of our supplies," Hermione promised.
"Quality Quidditch Supplies isn't too far from there," Ron added.
