Chapter 10-

A week passed and all the students knew their classes well. Lars found Transfiguration, and Charms the easiest. Potions was also very simple. Professor Slughorn called Lars, and Lily one of the best students he ever had.

Montague was the head of the first years in Charms, and Potions also. Second to Lars and Lily. Montague was very talented in Charms, and Professor Flitwick thought he had a natural talent in Montague.

Both though, had a good talent in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Professor Gerity was very fair, and couldn't handle working with more students then he had. But, as quiet as Professor Gerity was, he also favored students. Lars, and Montague were his favorites.

It was officially a week after classes started. Remus had started to recover. He had tons of strains and bruises. Lars still felt he had no remorse for his actions on the Slytherin boy, whose name was Lenter. Lars walked to the Great Hall for breakfast; he had a whole day of classes. But before he started his second week, Professor Slughorn had come over to him.

"I throw an occasional party," Professor Slughorn said. "It's called the Slug Club." Slughorn continued on. "I'm inviting you, and your friend Lily." Slughorn said, he was smiling, and Lars agreed to go. Lars was excited about being able to get over the depression of the first day, and spend time with Slughorn.

Lars eventually found out after the day that Professor Slughorn had invited Severus and Montague also. Lars was still excited; it would be a good time to get to meet new people he figured. Lars headed off to the Hogwarts grounds after classes and sat by the lake. It was peaceful watching the lake water sparkle in the late September sun, and it was also better when Lars had some company.

James and Siruis came down to talk to Lars about situations, Lars and James were able to talk more easier than Lars and Siruis. Lars was still annoyed at Siruis's reaction to Remus.

"Mate," James started saying, as Lars looked at him. "Don't worry about everyone else," James said. "We all have moments," James continued on, just looking at the lake with Lars. "So, come with us, Remus wants to talk with you also." Lars got up and silently followed both of them. Lars knew Remus was still hurt, but hoped it had started to recover.
