Chapter 10 Pranky Pedro
It was a quiet peaceful day in the city of Rio de Janeiro, but deep within the local jungle, the Red Crested-Cardinal known as Pedro was going to have the perfect day of the year. The day was April fool's day, Pedro's favorite day of the year.
"Hehe, this is going to be great!" Pedro spoke to himself with a smirk across his beak. He got some vines and hidden them under some dirt as a trap for his best friend who was inside their home.
"Oh Nico, Perla's here!" Pedro called, while trying not to laugh.
"Coming!" Nico called.
Pedro hid behind a tree, holding a wing to his beak to prevent his laughter.
"Perla, Perla!" Nico called out, hopping exactly where Pedro had hoped he would go to. "Perla, where are-AH!"
Pedro jumped from behind the tree and began laughing when could see Nico hanging upside down from a tree with his legs tied together with vines.
"Pedro, let me down!" Nico demanded, while using his wings to stop his bottle-cap from falling from his head.
"April fools!" Pedro laughed, as he flew away from the area, leaving Nico to hang around for a while. He began naming his next victims as he flew through the jungle. "First, Nico, then Blu, then Jewel, Rafael, Eva, and many more. Heheha."
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the peaceful loving Jungle, Jewel woken from her sleep, leaning her head up where she saw Blu, sleeping in her wings with her children cuddled in his chest. Jewel smiled and snuggled back into the nest when there was no need to get up yet.
As the blue macaw family were sleeping peacefully, embracing the warmth with one another...
"BLU, JEWEL!" Nico yelled, landing in the hollow that woke up the entire family.
"Nico what gives!?" Jewel yawned, resting her head back down into the nest.
"It's Pedro!" Nico explained, not giving much detail.
"What about Pedro?" Blu asked, not opening his eyes while using Jewel's neck as a pillow.
"Don't you guys know what day it is?!" Nico asked.
"No! What?" the family asked in unison.
"APRIL 1ST!" Nico yelled.
The family shot up from their nest, with their eyes wide open. "OH NO!"
"Oh yeah!" Nico said.
"Last year, he hit me with a squirt gun!" Blu replied, the memories showing in his mind.
"He hung me in a net for 20 minutes!" Jewel added.
"He just hung me upside down with vines!" Nico told them. "It took me a while to get down."
"I don't wanna get pranked again!" Blu whined.
"We'll just have to watch out then." Jewel suggested, but on that cue, Pedro arrived outside of the tree.
"Hey guys." the Cardinal greeted with an evil smirk.
"Uh-Oh." the family of blue macaws along with Nico gulped. Today was not going to get well.

Blu flew through the jungle all on his own when he suddenly spotted a mug of hot chocolate just sitting there in the open. He assumed that Linda might have come through here earlier and dropped it off, but that would not make sense.
It took half hour to get to city from here and surely it would have gone cold but now. But he did not really care.
"Mmmmmm." Blu approached the mug and sniffed it when suddenly; he felt gravity pull him down hard. "AH!"
Blu fell through a hole into the ground, seconds later, the mug of hot chocolate fell down on to his body, burning him slightly. "GRRRRRR!" Blu grunted.
"HAHAHA!" Pedro laughed from above the hole. Before long, he left to go and prank more of their friends.

So everybody put hands in the air now
Rafael walked out of his tree landing on the ground for a moment to breathe in the fresh air. Out from the ground, a net came up, trapping the Toucan inside. "Ah! Smugglers!" Rafael screamed.
"No Rafi, not smugglers!" Pedro laughed, standing on top of the branch.
"Not funny, Pedro!" Rafael said, shaking his wing while he tried to figure a way out of here.
It's an all-night party that we getting in too
Lev sat leaning against a tree, enjoying the peace and quiet to himself when out of nowhere, a small bucket of fish fell down onto him. "Oh, ew fish!" Lev complained.
"Enjoy the fish!" Pedro laughed, flying away to continue his pranks.

Jewel flew back into her hollow while her kids played outside their home for a while. She landed inside where she saw a mango sitting in the nest which she assumed Blu must have left her.
"Mango." Jewel sighed, licking her beak. She got in the nest and picked up the mango in her wings. Just as she got it close to her beak to eat it, the mango suddenly exploded, causing a mess on Jewel's face.
Pedro appeared outside her home and laughed hysterically. "Hey Jewel, you got a little something there!"

Jewel got angry and chased the Cardinal out of the tree.
"HAHAH-Oh uh!" Pedro gasped when he could see Jewel was not far behind.

Rico flew to his tree, preparing for a sleep. The Hawk got to the hollow entrance/exit when suddenly a skeleton shaped for a bird came down, startling Rico.
"AH!" Rico screamed, falling down on his back.
"Well. Well, the beat boxing master got scarred!" Pedro laughed, before flying away
"I hate you Pedro!" Rico yelled, while he dropped down the skeleton that turned out to be a fake.

Eva walked back from the pond after having a bath and proceeded to fly back to her tree. When she got to her tree vines suddenly appeared from the ground, tying around her body and talons.
Eva grunted and tried to free herself. Nearby, she noticed Rafael too busy trying to keep their eighteen children in control.
"What's the matter Eva, you a little tied up at the moment?" Pedro laughed.
"Pedro, untie me!" Eva demanded, as she began swinging all around the area.
So everybody put your hands in the air now

After a long half day, Pedro flew to the city to cause more havoc with his friends. As for the rest, Blu, Jewel, Nico, Lev, Rico, Rafael were together in the Samba club, annoyed about the pranks that had happened to them with the blue macaw kids standing nearby. Meanwhile, Eva decided to stay in the jungle to avoid any more pranks.
"30 minutes it took me to get the hot chocolate stains off!" Blu whined, while wiping his wing against his chest.
"Exploding mangoes?" Jewel added with an annoyed look.
"Skeletons, that just ain't funny!" Rico complained.
"And fish, really?" the Russian Macaw added.
Before anyone could complain further, an orange came directly at the birds.
"Duck!" Rico yelled.
Everyone ducked just in time, instead of hitting the friends, the orange hit Dimitri nearby
"Ah! Oh, what was-hey an orange!" Dimitri said, as he dug into the free fruit.
"Aw, I missed!" Pedro complained, before laughing.
"That's it!" Rico finally had the last straw and was about to walk at the Cardinal, but Blu and Jewel, grabbed his wings.
"No, No Rico." Blu told him.
"Just let it go, he ain't worth it!" Jewel added.
Rico looked confused for a second, before realizing what they thought he was going to do. "Oh, guys I'm not going to hit him, I'm going to teach him, it's not fun to get pranked!" Rico explained, slipping his wings out from the lovebirds grip.
Rico walked a few feet from Pedro, and behind Rico was a bunch of fruits.
"Yo, what up Ricky!?" Pedro said to Rico as a nick name.
"Fat, FATTY, FATTY, FATTY, FATTY!" Rico sang, trying to get him annoyed.
Pedro hated it when people call him fat and charged at Rico just like the hawk predicted.
Rico quickly dodged, tricking Pedro into flying in the fruits behind him. He grinned as he watched Pedro get out from the fruit, looking like a smoothie.
"April fools Pedro!" Rico smirked, as he crossed his wings together.
Pull a prank, get pranked, let that be a lesson to you all folks. A little short, I know, but next chapter will be longer.
