Chapter 11 everyone!

Vriska's POV:

I woke up to the sound of Kanaya playing the piano. She's been playing more often, lately. She's fantastic on the instrument, and she's not a bad singer, either. I opened my door a crack and listened. I wasn't ready to go down, not yet. I was still slightly embarrassed at what happened a couple nights ago.

Flashback:

I woke up briefly when I felt myself lifted up. Still half asleep, and too tired to open my eyes, I stayed silent, not completely processing who was carrying me. I felt the person lay me on a soft surface, and a couple moments later I felt lips on my forehead.

"Sleep well Vriska." So it was Kanaya. I began to drift off again. "I love you."

End of Flashback.

I headed downstairs as quietly as I could, hoping that I could appear in the living room and listen without Kanaya knowing.

The closer I got, the more I could make out her voice. Unfortunately, though, when I got to the entrance, Kanaya stopped playing and turned around, smiling.

"I know you're there, Vriska." She called out. I muttered something under my breath and burst out laughing, entering the living room. I strolled over and sat beside her on the piano bench. She turned and kissed my nose.

"Good morning beautiful. " She whispered. I smiled, looking up at her through my eyelashes.

"Won't you play that again?" I pleaded in a soft voice. She chuckled, getting up, and took my hand.

"I think it's breakfast time." She said, pulling me towards the kitchen. I sighed. But then again, I liked food. I grinned, jumping onto a stool and spinning it around.

"Where's the fooooooood?!" I demanded. Kanaya laughed, shaking her head and rummaging through the cupboards before taking out a box of honeycombs.

"I was thinking cereal." She said. I thought about it for a moment before nodding. She took out two bowls and poured cereal and milk into both. She shoved one bowl and a spoon towards me, before bringing hers and sitting beside me.

We started talking about what we were going to do today. We continued talking after we had finished our food and I got up and made us something to drink; hot chocolate for me and tea for Kanaya. Halfway though our beverages, Kanaya's phone vibrated. I shot towards and snatched it up first, sticking my tongue out at her. She rolled her eyes.

Kanaya's POV:

"Vriska, give me my phone." I ordered her. She just smirked and swiped the screen, turning it on. It was amazing how fast her facial expressions went from smart-ass to this-thing-disgusts-me-so-much-its-offensive. Her only word was "Ugh" As she threw the phone towards me. I glared at her as I caught it, and flipped it around to read my text.

TenticalTheripist [TT] Began pestering GrimAuxilitrax [GA]

[TT]Hey, Kanaya!

[GA]Hello, Rose.

[TT]Are you doing anything this weekend?

[TT]Because I was wondering if you'd like to come over for a sleepover.

[GA]Oh. Rose, I Am Quite Sorry, But I Don't Think I'll Be Able To Go Over There This Weekend.

[TT]Oh. I was just wondering...cause..nevermind.

[GA]Well..If You Like, I May not Be Able To Come Over, But You Can Come To My House For The Night.

[TT]Really?! Thank you!

[GA]Of Course, You Have To Get Along With Vriska.

[TT]...Okay. I can do that! :)

[TT]Thanks Kanaya, I'll be over there in ten!

TenticalTheripist ceased pestering GrimAuxilitrix

I sighed, running a hand through my hair.

"So what did the little shit want?" Vriska asked in a bored tone, twirling a bottle cap that was lying on the counter.

I hesitated. "I...I kind if invited her over for a sleep over..." Vriska's voice drowned out the end of my sentence.

"You WHAT?!" She jumped off of her stool, knocking it backwards. I flinch, and stood up.

"Vriska. You will behave when she comes over. Rose has agreed to get along, and I expect as much from you." I said calmly. She glared at me for a minute.

"UGGGHH!" She screamed, spinning around and storming up the stairs.

I sighed. This was going to be a long night.

Vriska's POV:

I laid on my bed staring dejectedly at the ceiling. Stupid Rose. Stupid jealousy.

Rose had arrived hours ago; I didn't see it because I was in my room the whole time. I had hoped that maybe, just maybe, Kanaya would come and invite me to hang out with them, but nope. Nothing.

Loud laughter echoed from across the room. I scowled, sitting up. I wonder what they're doing...getting up, I tiptoed out of my room and across the hall, crouching silently outside of Kanaya's door.

"...Love that song!" Ugh. Lalonde.

"It's one of my favourites from them." Kanaya.

"Mine too!" Disgusting giggling. "Uhm...Kanaya?..Can we talk about something serious?"

"..uh...sure?"

"Ok." Deep breath. "Here goes nothing. ...Kanaya? I..I really like you."

"Oh."

There was sounds of shuffling.

"Uh, Rose? What-"

"Don't tell me you don't have feelings for me too. I know you do. Please, Kanaya, don't you like me?"

At this point, I smirked. Go on, Kanaya. Tell her who's boss around here! I cheered in my head.

There was no answer.

My confidence began to waver.

She didn't actually like her, right?

She shouldn't have to think about that!

She loved ME!

...

Right?

Kanaya's POV:

"Don't tell me you don't have feelings for me too. I know you do. Please, Kanaya, don't you like me?" I looked down at Rose, who had squirmed her way into my lap. I stared at her wide eyes, the blush on her cheeks. Did I like her? As a friend. But as more? I know the answer should be no, I'm with Vriska, that's who I love! But I realized that I couldn't answer that. And I realized that I really did like Rose.

"I-..."I hesitated. She continued to stare at me with wide, innocent eyes. "Yes.." I whispered. Her face twisted into a grin and she laughed; a light, carefree sound. Her eyes lit up.

"Great!" She giggled, then she sobered up and stared into my eyes, which widened as she stretched up. Before I knew it, her soft lips brushed against mine. Oh. My. God.

IM WITH VRISKA! THIS IS WRONG! WHAT THE HE'LL AM I DOING!

Guilt shot through me and, gently, I pushed her away. She blushed, smiling, and snuggled into me. I didn't have the heart to push her away, so I settled for awkwardly wrapping my arms around her. What had I gotten myself into?

Vriska's POV:

"Yes."

What.

What.

No. How could she?

Error: Cannot process.

But I thought that she loved me?

How could she!?

Tears slipped down ny cheeks as I got up and ran to my room, closing the door and locking it. Slowly, I slid to the floor, my hands tangled in my hair as I proceeded to try and pull it out. Strangled sobs escaped through my mouth.

Father leaving me when I was two.

Araena leaving a year later

Mum doesn't care.

Mum hating me.

Mum shipping me away.

She left too.

Terezi betraying me

Terezi ignoring me.

Terezi doesn't care anymore, either.

Kanaya betraying me.

Kanaya lying to me.

Kanaya making me believe I was special

For once in my life.

It was a lie.

All a lie.

I was never wanted.

Always thrown away.

Replaced.

No One cares.

I am jolted out of my mind from a sting on my arm. I watch with tired eyes as my hand moves the blade across my wrist. My tears are gone. There are none left. They left too. These are the thoughts going through my mind as the blood collects on top of the scratch, over flowing. I wipe it off.

I take a deep breath and cut again.

Slash.

Slash.

Slash.

I like it.
