We've arrived to chapter ten folks and thanks for the reviews that were left on the chapters. I'm glad at how many liked the chapter and I'm sure General Herbison is glad too. Last time we saw Carina Omega and her army attack Earth II. Will the heroes stop her or will Earth II end up like Earth I?

Read on to see what happens and who survives. I don't own anything from the DC, Star Wars, or Bleach universe just our own OCs. Also this chapter will contain death scenes so if you don't like them then skip ahead. Now, let the next chapter begin and enjoy everyone.

Chapter X

New Metropolis

The heroes charge in as the attack from the invaders continues. Brainiac 5 dodges the attacks and tries to make his way towards Omega Carina. Colossal Boy blocks the attacks using his arms, while Light Lass shoots at the drones, but has little effect on them. Nathan helps the heroes out using his zanpakuto and kido to help take down the drones that get past the heroes.

"Don't give up everyone!" shouts Brainiac 5 as he takes down a drone. "We must protect the people and our home."

But even though they fought bravely the drones were growing smarter with each attack, not to mention more dangerous. New drones were arriving from all sides and their attacks were hitting the heroes faster than they could dodge.

All the while Carina Omega hovered nearby, watching and upgrading her network while also monitoring the invasion progress.

"Everything is proceeding as planned." she remarked, then in one swift movement fired a beam of venomous green energy into Light Lass.

The young heroine screamed as her entire body steamed as though she was being boiled alive.

Nathan goes towards her and tried to stop her body from boiling, but it was too late. She was dead.

Brainiac 5 saw this and glared at Carina. "You monster."

Carina sounded almost pleased as she replied, "Organics must be purged. Just as this world shall be. As you try to stop the drones you have no chance to stop my command station from moving into position. It will unleash a worldwide incineration that will terminate all organic matter."

"We won't let you take any more innocent lives!" shouts Brainiac 5. "We will stop you and our friend's death won't be at vain."

"It will be in vain, you have no chance at stopping me." Carina taunted, "I am infinite."

Thundering footsteps echoed through the air as row after row of machines marched below, then all of them started shooting upwards at the heroes.

Nathan puts Light Lass's body down and uses a kido to protect the soldiers who were getting shot at. Colossal Boy tries to take down the robots, but there were too many. They opened fire on him and he begins to get overwhelmed. Nathan fires his zanpakuto at them burning the robots into nothing.

"You better go help the soldiers retreat big guy," says Nathan towards Colossal Boy who nods in agreement.

Meanwhile

John and Angela are helping the people evacuate to the bunkers. John leads the people inside, while Angela uses her powers to take down the robots and drones. So far they have been able to hold their own. However, the more robots come the more it becomes hard for them to protect everyone.

"Everyone inside, now!" John is finishing getting everyone inside as the last few soldiers help bring in the handicap. "All right, close the doors and get them to safety."

"Yes sir," says one of the soldiers as the doors begin to close.

John joins in to help Angela who is blocking the attacks from the robots with her shield. He jumps in and takes down some of the robots giving his cousin a chance to rest. As John works on the robots he notices more and more keep coming. He looks up and sees they are coming from a nearby ship.

"Angela, can you take that thing down?" asks John as he points towards the ship.

"I'll try," Angela flies up and tries to take down the ship, but it spots her, and opens fire hitting on the shoulder.

John catches her and sets her down. "Are you okay?"

Angela just glares at her cousin. "I just got shot. What do you think?"

"Sorry," apologized John as he turns towards the robots that surrounded him. "I don't suppose you have a plan B, right?"

Angela shook her head. "One, pray for a miracle."

As the robots are ready to open fire they are shot at by what seems like a hundred shooters. All the robots get shot down and the ship that hovered over the city gets blown up. John and Angela look on shock at what just happened. They look around and couldn't see where the shots came from.

"Who the hell did that?" asked Angela.

"I have no idea, but whoever it is I'm guessing is an ally," says John.

"How do you assume that?" replied Angela.

"Because we would be dead," replies John.

Angela then notices someone coming their way. "John."

John looks over and sees someone walking out of the smoke. The figure is around 18 years of age, short black hair, blue eyes, tan skin, is wearing a black trench coat, cowboy hat, boots, glove, and belt. On the side of the figure he is wearing a gun holster belt that is carrying his weapon.

"Small world, huh guys?"

"Ben?" asked a surprised John. "Is that you?"

The young man nods his head and turns towards Angela. "Hey cuz, it's been a while huh?"

Angela glares at Ben. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Well," Ben begins explaining. "I came by to see if you needed a hand. Looks like its true."

John looks around at the destroyed robots and shrugs his head. "We had it under control."

Ben lets out a small chuckle and heals his cousin's injury. "Better?"

Angela checks on her injury and doesn't feel any pain. "Thanks, so you're going to help us then? Even after what happened?"

Ben nods his head. "We're family and there is no way I'm going to abandon you guys."

John smiles happily and extends his hand. "Thank you."

Ben shakes his hand. "No problem, now let's go kick some ass."

New Metropolis

Meanwhile Brainiac 5 makes it through the drones and confronts Carina. "I am going to take you down."

"Just try it you pathetic excuse for a hero." her eyes flashed red.

Brainiac 5 charges in and throws several punches, but Carina blocks them with ease. This went on for a while and the young hero was getting the feeling he is being played. He backs away from Omega Carina to figure out another way to beat her. He then remembers what she said earlier on what she is.

It gave him an idea. It's risky, but he had to take it. He charges at her again and gets behind. He wraps his arm around her neck and plugs himself in the back of her neck.

"I will shut you and your army down," says Brainiac 5 as he begins hacking into her.

"You are going to try defeating me that way?" Carina laughed coldly, "It works both ways."

Carina's network immediately activated countermeasures against Brainiac and also uploaded itself directly into him.

Brainiac 5 tried to break free, but it was too late. Carina has full control over his body and she orders him to release her. He releases her and bows his head at her. Having him under her control was good, but when she saw Supergirl approaching her it gave her an idea.

"One by one, organic." she activated Brainiac, "Terminate Supergirl, then terminate yourself."

He bowed his head, "Affirmative."

White House

The president is being escorted by his guards as they head towards the ship. The security force is outside the building holding back the drones and robots. As they make it to the ship the robots break into the building and begin attacking. The guards had the president take cover, while they fought the robots.

Despite their best efforts though the robots broke through the guards and killed them. The robots then surround the president and aim their weapons at him.

"What do you want?" the President asked who also didn't seem worried.

"Termination." a drone replied.

As they prepare to fire, a shot is heard but not at the president. He looks over to see one of the robot's head being shot off. The robots turn around and all of their heads are shot off. The president looks over and sees Agent M-8 standing there holding two guns in her hands.

"Everything all right sir?"

The president nods his head. "That was a close one."

"And it's not over yet."

New Metropolis

As Brainiac flew at Supergirl Carina activated her rocket boosters and blasted away to lead the assault on a different sector of the planet.

"Brainiac, stop!" shouted Supergirl as she blocks the attacks from her boyfriend. "It's me, Kara. Snap out of it."

Brainiac 5 refused to listen. He can hear her and wants to break free, but Carina's control was too strong. He punches her in the gut and gives swift kicks the back of her head. Supergirl recovers and uses her freeze breath to stop her friend. However, he breaks free and goes for a punch.

Supergirl counters and gets behind him. She wraps pins him and tries to help him break free. "I know your there. Please, fight her control and come back to me."

"I…can't," says a struggling Brainiac 5.

Carina Omega noticed her new slave was no match for the heroine. Not that it matters to her since he was only useful to keep the heroine distracted, while her weapons charges up.

"Initiate termination." she ordered, "Total obliteration."

Inside Brainiac's body everything started to delete and break apart. He only had time to whisper, "I... love..." before his entire being exploded in a massive fireball.

Carina Omega goes towards the explosion and finds no remains of her former slave. She did find Supergirl alive, but unconscious.

"Time to finish you off." she grabbed Supergirl by the hair and was about to inject her with a lethal dose of kryptonite based toxins when she remembered her original orders from her father.

With a reluctance sigh she lifted the young heroine and blasted into the sky where a transport was waiting to take them back to the orbital command station.

"You will watch as this world burns." Carina whispered to Supergirl, "And then I will have my revenge."

New Gotham

A father, mother, and their two children run down the streets of the city, as they try to escape from the robots. The robots have taken out the National Guard and police force, but couldn't get to the bunkers the humans hid in. However, there were some humans who didn't make it. So the robots focused their attention on killing them.

The father leads his family down an alley and tries to head to the docks where they can take a boat to escape. As they make it to the docks the robots appear and surround the family. They huddle together and close their eyes. The robots prepare to open fire, when they noticed a dark shadow hovering over them.

They look up and see a bat like figure standing on the roof of a warehouse. They opened fire, but suddenly the figure disappeared. They look around for the figure until he appeared behind them. Before they can react the figure pulls two sharp blades. He swings them at the robots and then puts the blades away.

The robots didn't move for a moment, until their weapons and then the robots fell apart. The family looks over and sees the figure that saved them. The father approaches him to thank the hero, but then the figure vanished. The family looks around confused at what happened, but then hear a loud explosion nearby.

The family takes off towards one of the boats, while the figure looks on from the roof. He looks over and sees more robots heading towards the city.

"Let's finish this."

Wow, I wonder who that guy was at the end of the chapter. I think many can figure it out and yeah I added him in the story. Is he the same one? Probably not, but you'll see next time.

Also yeah Brainiac 5 is dead and Supergirl has been captured. Things are not looking good for the heroes huh? Will it get better in the next chapter? Will the heroes save the day or fail?
