So I decided I'd better get to this chapter already (I mean a lot of people came to check the fanfic when I posted the A/N so that kind of pushes me to do something right?)

Forgive me if my writing style may seem a little different. I haven't done much of it anyway because of school and all that so yeah. I had to reread the last chapter to get the feel again so hopefully that helps. Anyway, to the story.

Weary lids rose to gaze upon a wooden roof, sight lightly blurred from sleep. Lucy brought a hand up to rub desperately at her eyes, not wanting to fall unconscious again. Her lower body felt completely sore, but other than that she was able to sit up. She drew a well needed breath before looking around. She was still in the infirmary seeing as she noticed Wendy - the curtains were drawn back - at the sink cleaning something.

Then she saw him.

Loke, standing near one of the windows. He was dressed in a green shirt and black pants, and his hair was in it's human style. Despite his back facing her, she could tell he was holding something. He was swaying gently on the spot, not having noticed that his lady was awake as yet. Lucy only watched him for a while, taking the scene in of him standing in the light of the early morning flowing through the window.

"Loke..." she eventually muttered after a while, the slight jump from the man not going unnoticed.

"Oh you're awake!" Wendy smiled as she walked over to Lucy's bed with a glass of water in hand, to which the woman gladly accepted.

Loke turned and was at Lucy's side in an instant, their infant held protectively in his arms. She also saw that he was not wearing his glasses for once; possibly so his child could see his face. She found herself smiling at this fact before returning the empty glass to Wendy and taking her baby in her arms from Loke. He got down on his knees as he watched on in admiration at his new little family, Lucy's head already nuzzling gently against the boy's head. He couldn't help himself from bringing an arm around her shoulders and bringing her close, and the woman chuckled at the gesture.

"It feel almost empty for some reason," Lucy spoke up.

"Well yeah, you would," Loke smirked, brushing his fingers against her hair. "You pushed another being out of you after carrying it for months,"

She grumbled as she flicked him in the forehead while he laughed. He deserved that but when the baby gave a whimper they both halted their shenanigans. Hearing their child crying already had her on alert and she was already trying to calm him down, carefully rocking and shushing him all the while.

"Do you think he needs to feed now?" Wendy asked, a bit worried.

"You're the technical doctor here," Lucy jokingly rolled her eyes at the girl, who jumped in realization before nodding.

"Right..."

Lucy was already pulling at her shirt before glancing over at Loke, who still had his eyes on the teary eyed baby.

"Um, Loke?"

"Yes?"

"Could you step out for a moment,"

The request made his brow rise.

"Why are uncomfortable now with me seeing your breast-?"

"Loke!" Lucy snapped before pouting.

The celestial spirit glanced over at Wendy and immediately felt awkward at the young girl's red face due to the situation.

"Sure, I'll go for now," Loke muttered before stepping out with Wendy, and Lucy released an exhausted sigh.

"Jeez,"

She then glanced down at the still wailing child. She moved her shirt aside for the infant to get good access and soon he was feeding away. It made her giggle for whatever reason as she watched him, small hand clinging to her shirt and eyes closed. She looked around the room once more, noting that Virgo and Porlyusica were no where to be found. She had a feeling that Virgo had already returned to the Spirit World, as she did not have the same endurance that Loke had when being in Earthland. As to the hermit's whereabouts, she was unsure. She did however figure she must have returned back to her home by now. Wendy was left in charge, so it showed that she was confidant that Lucy and her baby were in good health.

When she looked down at the child she saw that he was drifting off, and she smiled before fixing her shirt and rocking him to sleep. They had both been through a lot. Some more sleep could not hurt.

"How is she?" Erza queried Loke as he walked downstairs.

"You guys asked that already a few minutes ago," Loke shook his head as he sat at the bar with the rest of Team Natsu.

"Yeah, but..." Gray murmured.

"We're concerned," they all declared, with Happy and Natsu already crying.

"Hmm, she's alright," the celestial spirit smiled at them, and they, including those near them, cheered in relief. Just like before.

Loke only smiled. They were so lucky to be apart of such an amazing guild. As many times as it is said will it be said again, and even more still. They were all such caring people. What other guild would a person want to join?

"In fact, she's awake now," he also mentioned, catching their attention.

"Really?" Happy jumped onto the counter top in excitement.

"Let's go see her, then!" Natsu shouted with just as much enthusiasm and was already rushing off.

"Dammit Natsu!" Gray gritted his teeth before following with Erza in the rear.

"You can't just barge in!" Erza called.

As she rounded the corner, Happy was already passing her on his wings, leaving Loke to himself at the bar. He groaned while bringing a hand to his face.

"Great friends, but terrible at privacy huh?" Lisanna said as she sat with him.

"Yeah," she giggled at the response. "I should go check to see that they aren't bothering her too much,"

"Good idea," Loke rose from his seat and headed back to the infirmary.

"You guys better be careful around her," he started as he neared the sick bay. "She is still tired after..."

He wavered once he reached the door, all four of them standing at the door and looking into the room in silence. What in the world was going on? Once he was behind them he took a look as well, and he felt his breath leave him.

There she was, still in the same position as before with their son in his yellow blanket in her arms, eyes closed in a happy daze. The light filtering in just added to the beautiful sight, giving it a sort of heavenly feel. Sure that description might seem cheesy to others but to Loke, he could care less.

"It's so precious," Erza murmured and the others nodded in agreement.

"What are you guys doing?" came a familiar voice pulling them back to Earth.

It was Lucy, and she had her eyebrow raised at the crowd at the door. They quickly moved and closed the door, completely embarrassed at being caught.

"You guys are weird," Happy commented.

You're one to talk, cat, they all thought while giving the exceed hard glares.

Loke was roaming the streets of Magnolia, having decided he needed to take a walk from all the stress. Well, more like Lucy forced him to after she was taken home with their son. She flat out told him he looked like crap, and maybe a little stretch of the legs would do him good. He really did not want to leave them on their own, especially after the birth, but she insisted. So there he was, passing shops and goo-goo eyed women basking in his good looks. As usual he ignored, rounding several corners until he came across a fountain.

He walked over to it and took a seat, opting to take a short break. He still could not get over it though, being a father. It was just so overwhelming yes, but not unwelcome. Him, the guy who used to be a straight up playboy. He had his reasons for choosing that lifestyle but he did have fun. Now he was married to Lucy, incredibly strong and beautiful, and they had a son. It all was happening so fast.

Well for a celestial spirit like him, it was expected for him to think that way. Time worked so differently in the Celestial Spirit World. A human's lifetime was but an instant to his kind. It scared him, but he kept those thoughts at bay. It scared him that he would outlive her. For weeks he would find himself staring at her sleeping form as he would lay with her at nights, fruitlessly trying to keep her forever with him with his mind.

Desperation. Longing. Anguish.

All these would be swimming about in his head. He hated when he would do this. Yes he was a celestial spirit and she was a human. So what? He would be losing his chance at having the greatest moments of his life if he allowed those feelings to conquer him. Why dwell on the negatives? Without taking a chance what could one hope to gain? Loke learnt to when he met and got to know Lucy. And he honestly would never regret it.

"Loke?" someone spoke up near him.

He looked at saw that it was Annette, jade hair in a low ponytail as a wide brimmed hat sat on her head. She was also wearing her round glasses which he hardly got to see at her flower shop, and she also had a shopping bag on each arm.

"Oh, Annette," he gave her a warm smile as she sat next to him, bags set aside.

"I haven't seen you in awhile," she pushed her glasses up from slipping.

"Yeah, I guess so,"

"How's Lucy been doing?"

"Well she had the baby yesterday actually," Loke nonchalantly mentioned and the woman beside him nearly fell into the fountain.

"Really!?" her eyes widened at him nodding with a smile. "Was it rough?"

"You're asking me?" he laughed, and she realized her error and slapped her forehead.

"But seriously, she's doing fine," he sighed, attempting to catch his breath. "Much better than I imagined,"

"That's good,"

"So how about you? How have things been anyway?"

"Well actually, also I won't be able to keep holding onto those for much longer," she prodded his shoulder. "Magic can only do so much for months you know,"

"Ugh, I keep forgetting about the time. I've been so busy anyway,"

"I understand," she shrugged.

They were silent for a while, until Loke finally spoke up.

"Well?"

"Pardon?" she looked at him.

"What about him?"

She seemed to freeze up before turning away from him.

"Nothing,"

"Still holding back, aren't you," he stood when the area was quickly flooded with the golden rays of the sunset, stretching his arms. "Even after we talked about it,"

"Oh please Loke," Annette groaned before standing herself. "I just need time,"

"Time is of the essence," he grabbed her bags for her and she thanked him.

"Well, time to get home. You should too," the woman nodded before sauntering away.

Once he arrived at Lucy's apartment, he found her sitting next to the baby's crib, both fast asleep. He smiled before bringing her in his arms and over to the bed. She momentarily woke up but he kissed her back to sleep. He got onto the soft covers with her, pulling a blanket over them both.

He smiled once he heard her familiar breathing, kissing her temple once more. He glanced over at the crib, the fish and fairy mobile swaying lightly over it.

I have to say this was weird for me to write. Trying to saddle back in and all. Overall I'm semi pleased. I hope you all are though.

Laters.
