Vile: Hello, everyone, I am sorry for the long delay for this chapter, but I had an excuse this time: This chapter ushers in the year of 2014! I figured this would be a good present for all of you who stuck with me into another year! Let's get right into this! All bolded cards are either mine or another cardmaker's (I'll say if they aren't mine). Enjoy!
Yu-Gi-Oh! GSTART
Chapter 10: Sykonetyk Strike! Geo's Prehistoric Rampage!
Kohaku's field: Pixel HERO – Chaos Speed Spike, 1 facedown
Plata's field: Incinerator Dragon, no facedowns
Pixel HERO – Chaos Speed Spike: Quality 3 LIGHT Beast-Warrior/Composition ATK:2800/DEF:0 0 Active Soul Towers (effect was just activated)
Incinerator Dragon: Quality 4 FIRE Machine/Composition ATK:2600/DEF:2700 5 Active Soul Towers
"Chaos Speed Spike, direct attack! Hyper Speed Attack!" Chaos Speed Spike, energized by its seven orbs, shot forward, shooting right past the massive mechanical dragon and impacting its owner.
"GUH!" Plata groaned, not being blown away, but she slunk to one knee, holding herself up with one hand. She was smirking, though. "Eh heh heh…"
Kohaku LP:1900
Plata LP:0 – LOSER
"Duel Clear!" Kohaku said as the AR field vanished, spinning his back-turned visor back to the front.
"Time!" Doc said from the side. Plata got onto her feet as Kohaku approached her, the two teens high-fiving. "Approximate finish time: 2 minutes, 39 seconds!"
"Yosh! New record!" Kohaku said with a finger snap.
"Waaaaah! Oof!" Yoru was heard grunting as he hit the floor, being sent back from an attack by one of Cleo's monsters.
Cleo LP:2900
Yoru LP:0 – LOSER
"And time!" Dizzy called out as the Augmented Reality vanished. Cleo helped Yoru up as the larger teen walked over. "And the time is 3 minutes and 8 seconds! I'd considered that a record!" Cleo and Yoru looked at each other and gave a nod.
"Nice job, guys!" Kohaku said as he, Doc, and Plata walked over. "We're gonna rock this tourney for sure!"
"Looks like some real Duel sweat going on over here!" A male voice said. The group turned and saw another teenage boy with dark red (actual red, not orange) hair in a somewhat pompadourish hairstyle, with orange eyes. He was dressed in an orange shirt, a red jacket that flared in the back, jeans, and black shoes.
"You know it, Hiroki-kun! We can't slack off since the School Duel is coming up!" Kohaku told him.
Hiroki hit himself in the forehead. "Oh, I forgot about that! That's in two weeks!"
"Need a little training? We could always use another sparring partner!" Dizzy told him.
"You sold me at training, pal." Hiroki said.
"I could use some practice…" Kuran had walked toward them without anyone noticing. He looked at Hiroki. "Would you be my opponent, Kazoen-kun…?"
Hiroki gave an easygoing smile. "Sure… What was your name again?"
"Kuran Hiwatari."
"Hiwatari-kun. Got it."
*A Little Later*
Hiroki's field: Little Chimera x2, Flame Ruler, no facedowns
Kuran's field: Glaring Mollusk – Six-Eye Squid, no facedowns
Little Chimera x2: Lv.2 FIRE Beast ATK:1600(due to effects, originally 600)/DEF:500
Flame Ruler: Lv.4 FIRE Pyro ATK:2500(due to Little Chimeras, originally 1500)/DEF:1600
Glaring Mollusk – Six Eye Squid: Quality 6 DARK Aqua/Composition ATK:2500/DEF:2350 4 Active Soul Towers
"Ore no turn! Draw!" Hiroki drew his card. "I release Flame Ruler as two monsters! Adobansu Shoukan!" The monster in question, a dark-skinned blue-haired man decked out in red and blue, was consumed by the flames that he once controlled. These flames then became much larger and wilder. "Ideyo! Hell Flame Emperor!" The flames then morphed into the shape of a centauric lion with large wings, its entire body made of fierce flames, two blue eyes glowing in its head.
Hell Flame Emperor: Lv.9 FIRE Pyro ATK:3700(due to Little Chimeras, originally 2700)/DEF:1600
"Final attack!" Hiroki declared. Surging its flames, Flame Emperor opened its mouth and fired its own flames as a powerful laser toward its target, a large squid-like monster with a rotten skin texture, two huge tentacles, and most notably, six huge, bloodshot eyes on the face of its body. The flames completely engulfed the mollusk and incinerated it. Kuran didn't even react in the face of the ensuing shockwave.

Kuran LP:0 – LOSER
Hiroki clapped his hands and bowed with a smile as the buzzer blared and the Augmented Reality vanished. "Ah, a refreshing Duel to sharpen my skills." He walked over to Kuran, who slowly shook his head. "Nice Duel, Hiwatari-kun."
Kuran slowly nodded. "I'm still new at this… I'm not sure I'll be of help in the School Duel."
"Well, well, well. Looks like we caught the Deltas in their natural habitat." A gruff voice said.
Kohaku's ears perked up. The tone was unmistakeable. "Oh boy. We've got Beta Blockers stepping on our turf." He mused. He and his friends grouped together to see eight muscular teenage boys with cocky smirks on their faces approaching. Kuran and Hiroki just stood where they were.
"What do you guys want? School Duel's not for two weeks." Hiroki said, a little exasperated.
One of the boys shoved his way to the front. "I figured we from Beta District would get our unfinished business with you Delta Dots out of the way right now." Kohaku's eyes widened at the look of him. His short brown hair and dark brown eyes were unassuming enough (he was also the only one who has scowling rather than smirking), but the outfit caught him: A one-piece light brown jumpsuit with a design resembling a dark brown rock formation, familiar silver metal boots (with yellow-brown lights), and silver metal gloves with chains of cybernetics (these extended into a circular bit of metal on his chest with yellow-brown lights). The gloves were larger than what he remembered, and looking closer, the fingers had small spikes down their lengths.
'Sykonetyk!' He thought.
Hiroki stepped forward with narrowed eyes. "You lookin' to start somethin', Ganseki-baka?"
"Start and finish with you under my boot, Kazoen!" The larger boy said, his face twisting into a glare.
"Um… Mister…?" Kuran tried to speak up in his breathy voice.
The larger kid snapped to Kuran's face. "Chiro Ganseki. Learn it!" He gave a quick low-power jab, knocking Kuran to the ground.
"Oi!" Kohaku spoke up. "What's your problem?"
"Shut it!" Chiro snapped.
"I'm all right, Kohaku-kun…" Kuran said. "I was going to say… one of your friends was knocked out."
Chiro looked back at Kuran, confused. "Huh?" Kuran slowly pointed, and Chiro followed it to see one of the members of his posse on the ground with cards all around him, obviously having been clobbered in a Duel. Looking higher, Chiro saw a familiar (to us, at least) head of teal hair walking away.
"Nazo-chan?" Kohaku wondered. "What the heck is she doing here?"
Chiro growled. "Don't move, bitch!"
Nazoko stopped dead in her tracks, turning her head to glare at Chiro. "You dare speak to me…?"
"State your District! Now!" Chiro ordered.
"She's a Delta, pal!" Kohaku chirped with a smirk, getting Chiro's attention. "One of your guys must've tried to pick her up. BAD idea."
"I'll humor you, Yudin. He is right." Nazoko said simply. "Your friend made the mistake of approaching me."
You could practically see the tic mark on Chiro's head. "Only mistake here is on you! When a Delta attacks a Beta, we strike back! Boys!" The remaining Beta District boys stepped forward.
"You don't scare me. I'll thrash you all at the same time!" Nazoko declared adamantly.
"Challenge accepted! Swarm her, boys!" Chiro ordered. The remaining six Betas fanned out into an arc against Nazoko.
*30 Minutes Later*
With powerful explosions, all six Betas fell to the ground in utter defeat against Nazoko.
Nazoko LP:700
All six Betas LP:0 – LOSERS
Chiro stood there, utterly dumbfounded. His jaw was dropped, but Kuran pushed it shut before walking back to Kohaku's side. Shaking his head, Chiro had a wide-eyed stare as Nazoko turned around to leave. "Nice ass-kicking, Nazo-chan!" Kohaku called out. Nazoko didn't react and just kept walking.
The Betas tried to get up, groaning. "Kuso… That's one tough Delta broad!" One said.
"Boys! Huddle up!" Chiro ordered. The seven other Betas got to their feet and gathered around Chiro. The brown-haired boy then snapped his head to Kohaku's group with an even LARGER tic mark. "If that broad's with you guys… then you just crossed the crush line! You've invoked the Beta Fury!"
"She may be a Delta, but she ain't with us!" Dizzy called out. "She wouldn't be caught dead with us!"
"Does that matter? Delta Dolt is Delta Dolt!" Chiro growled. "You'll regret messing with us… Betas! Retreat!" He turned tail and rushed off, followed and flanked by his gang.
"Hiroki-kun… should we be worried?" Kohaku asked.
"Nah. I've dealt with Ganseki-baka before. He's all smoke and no fire." Hiroki responded. "Come on, guys, let's get back to training!" The others all agreed, except Kuran, who only watched Chiro's gang run away.
*8 second intro*
Don't give up the fight! Play on!
(Background singer: Yeah! Play on)
Fight to reach your goal! It's on!

With every step you take you grow
Everything you do, big or small paves the road (The shadowed kids behind Kinoko and Sokudo are un-shadowed, revealing them as Zippi, Yosuke, and Keiichi)
Life's just a game that everyone has to play
Use what you learn, and you'll seize the day
Level yourself up, and you can make it through
(Background singer: Yeah! Play on)
There's a great big world, waiting for us!
All that is left is for us to Start the Gaaaaaame!
It is ON!
*Later During the Day*
"Ahhh… Man, that was some great training! I feel sharper than ever!" Kohaku chirped with his arms behind his head.
"Who knew Hiroki was that tough of a Duelist?" Plata mused. She then noticed the odd look on Dizzy's face. "Dizzy? What's wrong?"
"…Was I the only one who recognized Chiro's getup?" Dizzy asked.
"Nope. Chiro's a Sykonetyk. I just know it." Kohaku told him. "If that Silver Card sends me another vision, that'll only confirm it." He then smiled. "Ah, but we'll worry about him later. We've got two more weeks to prepare for the School Duel, and I'm nowhere near ready to quit!"
"Let's see who's at the South Park. There should be some good opponents there." Doc suggested.
"*yawn* No more for me, guys. I'm beat." Yoru said. "I'm gonna head home for the day. See ya tomorrow."
"Okay. See ya, Yoru-kun." Kohaku said. The others said goodbye as the narcoleptic walked off to head home.
After a bit of walking, the gang came to Delta South Park, their favorite hangout spot aside from Kohaku's house. Between the triangle-shaped fountain in the center and various hedge formations, the area was always rather quiet. Even Duels stayed subdued: Most Duelists played the game the old-fashioned way, on tables with just their cards, no D-Controllers, D-Gazers, or Gamepads. It was a good place to kick back and just relax… at least, most of the time.
"OOF!" A voice was heard grunting in pain.
"UGH!" Another one was heard.
The group stopped immediately, looking in the direction of the voices and seeing the same group of Beta District students that harassed them earlier, several of them laughing. One of them was seen punching a boy in the cheek, knocking him to the ground. "What the?!" Cleo gasped.
"Eat it, Gamma!" A voice that was unmistakeably Chiro Ganseki's was heard as a second boy had his face slammed into the dirt.
"Why those little-!" Kohaku growled, only to notice (with a blinking silhouette effect) that Dizzy wasn't beside him anymore. "Dizzy-kun?"
"OI, ROCKHEAD!" Dizzy's irate voice shouted.
Chiro snapped his head up. "Hungh?!" The minute he turned his head in the direction of the voice, his chin was on the receiving end of Dizzy's patented Super Spinner Punch. But one punch was only the start: With expert angling of his spinning, Dizzy managed to pull off a combo of five full hits that sent Chiro reeling, ending up on his back.
"Grrr… Why you…!" Chiro growled as he stood up, locking eyes with Dizzy. His eyes widened. "You! You're one of the Deltas from earlier!"
"Yeah! And unless you want my name beat into your skull so hard that it shows up in an X-ray, I suggest you back the hell off!" Dizzy snapped, beating his fists with a glare.
"You're asking for a beating, pal…" Chiro groaned. "I know you. Ren Naginata. Dizzy. You're one of us!"
"WAS one of you. I live in Beta, but I'm part of Delta High South now. Also, I was never anywhere near the asshole that you are." Dizzy said.
"Once a Beta, always a Beta. Figure out where your loyalties lie!" Chiro shouted. "If you've got a brain in your skull, you'll turn around and beat the crap out of them!" He punctuated his sentence by pointing as Kohaku's group.
"You really think he's gonna turn on us?" Kohaku asked with a smirk. "You must not be the brightest of the Sykonetyks."
Chiro snapped his head to Kohaku, obviously set off by the mention of the Sykonetyks. "You… Kohaku Yudin. So YOU'RE the one who whipped Hydro and Aero." He then snorted. "Thanks."
Kohaku was weirded out. "Huh? Those two aren't your friends?"
"Hell no, we're not his friends!" A slightly weak voice said. One of the boys on the ground slowly picked himself up onto his hands and knees and turned his already-bruising face to face them: It was Hydro. "You think I'd be friends with this Beta Blocker meathead?!"
"I'll deal with you later!" Chiro snapped at him before looking back to Kohaku. "I'm looking forward to crushing you into little pebbles during the School Duel. Graaah!" He stomped the ground hard, actually managing to cause a small feelable vibration through the ground. "Naginata, turn around and join us, now!"
"Go to hell, Ganseki-baka!" Dizzy snapped at him. "Those are my friends now!"
Chiro's left eye began to twitch heavily in anger. "Hey, what's going on over here?" Hiroki's voice called out. The red-haired boy rushed into the area flanked by two other teens: A boy of his age with snow white hair and light blue eyes, and a girl of their age with long purple hair and yellow eyes.
All of a sudden, the girl gasped. "Fubuki-kun!" She cried, rushing into the crowd. Out of nowhere, she whipped an eerie-looking device from her pocket and clicked a button, causing electricity to spark from it.
"Is that a taser?!" Doc cried.
She pointed the taser at Chiro's gang. "Get away from Fubuki-kun!" She yelled, waving it around as she stomped forward. Obviously not wanting to get electrocuted, the Beta students backed up, letting the girl move forward and kneel down beside the other downed boy, sitting him up.
"Aero!" Kohaku gasped as he saw the green-haired boy's face.
"Uhh…" Aero groaned as his eyes spun around. "I think someone just hit me…"
"You know him, Kamitsure?" Hiroki asked.
"He's my boyfriend! Of course I know him!" Kamitsure said as she helped the dazed Aero to his feet.
Hiroki and the white-haired boy looked rather shocked. "Did she ever tell you she had a boyfriend, Hyoriki?" Hiroki asked his companion.
"Mm-mmm!" Hyoriki said, shaking his head negatively.
"Rgh… any time you wanna help me would really be appreciated, Hyoriki!" Hydro groaned.
Hyoriki was startled. "G-Gomen, Nii-san!" He stuttered, rushing over to Hydro's aid.
"Damn, Mizumaru, you got roughed up bad." Hiroki said, having followed Hyoriki.
"No, ya think?" Hydro snarked. "I got off easy, I think."
"Wait, you know him?" Kohaku asked.
"Fubuki, no." Hiroki said, pointing to Aero. "Mizumaru, yeah. We hang out quite a bit even though he's from Gamma." He then looked at Kamitsure. "Why didn't you tell me that you found a boyfriend, Kami?"
"I guess I never got around to it. Gomen that this was how you had to find out." Kamitsure said. She looked at Aero. "Can you walk, Fubuki-kun?"
"…As well as a newborn calf…" Aero breathed. "I can never walk that good…"
Hiroki then glared at Chiro. "You're asking for trouble, Ganseki-baka."
"We already gave your friends trouble. We can easily do the same to you!" Chiro said. "Boys-UGH!" He was suddenly socked again by Dizzy's fist, sending him reeling.
"I'm really sick of you, Rockhead! You're not the only one with backup!" Dizzy growled. He looked back at his friends with a smirk. "Do I have to do this myself?" Catching on, all his friends smirked and stepped forward, backing up Dizzy.
Kamitsure was about to whip out her taser again, but Hiroki stopped her. "You don't need that thing. The odds are in our favor now." Hiroki then stepped alongside Dizzy's backup, followed by Kamitsure and Hyoriki (both of them towing Hydro and Aero with them), making it 10 to 7.
"You wanna press your luck now, Ganseki?" Dizzy asked, cracking his knuckles.
"Aniki (Boss)… I don't think we're gonna win this one." One of the Beta Students said, nervous.
Chiro's eye twitched. "Grrrr… TRAITOR!" He snapped. "I don't tolerate Betas who go against us… You win this round, but mark my words Naginata… you have not seen the last of me! Retreat!" He quickly turned around and took off running, followed by his gang.
Hiroki sighed. "Always looking for a fight, that guy." He then noticed stares leveled at him, turning to see Kohaku, Dizzy, and Doc giving him eerie looks. "What? Do I have something on my face?"
"Care to tell us why you didn't mention knowing THEM?" Doc asked, pointing at Hydro and Aero.
"What about us?" Hydro asked. "I've never seen you lot before."
"You nearly blew up the water pipes at our school two weeks ago!" Cleo shouted.
Hydro, however, had his eyes bug out in what seemed like a genuine freak-out. "I did WHAT?!"
"And your boyfriend somehow used wind to wreak chaos on our school, not to mention giving me a bloody leg." Doc said to Kamitsure, pulling up his pants leg to show the scar from the razor wind.
Aero seemed as confused as he could in his odd state, but Kamitsure hugged him tight. "You're lying! Fubuki-kun couldn't do that!"
"What the heck are they talking about, Mizumaru?" Hiroki asked.
"I don't have a clue! I don't even know these guys!" Hydro said, genuinely confused. "Did you run into someone that looked like me or something?"
"Did you get hit on the head and lose your memory?" Dizzy shot back. "I can understand 'Fubuki' forgetting because of, well, him," he ignored the narrow-eye stare from Kamitsure, "but you? You were just a jerk!"
"Look, I have no idea what you're talking about." Hydro said. "And I'm sure as heck not gonna listen to you accuse me. Hyoriki, let's head home. Kaa-chan is not going to be happy about this."
"Hai, Nii-san." Hyoriki said before looking at Dizzy. "You're wrong about Nii-san. He can be a jerk, but he wouldn't do anything that drastic." Hydro didn't object to his brother's jerk comment, and Hyoriki helped him to leave.
Kamitsure "hmph"ed and turned around with Aero. "Insensitive jerks. We're going home, Fubuki-kun." She carted Aero along with her without another word.
Hiroki watched both groups leave, then turned to Kohaku's group. "You're sure it was them?" He asked, getting a unanimous nod. The redhead looked away nervously. "I really hope you're wrong about this, guys. Ever since the School Duel was announced, things between the Districts are falling apart. Hopefully things don't become utterly destroyed." Kohaku and his friends began to doubt what they thought about those two as Hiroki left.
"You guys think we might actually have the wrong people? Doppelgangers, maybe?" Plata wondered.
"…I don't even know anymore, guys." Kohaku breathed. "But Chiro's giving me a REALLY bad vibe." All of a sudden, he felt the glow of the Silver Game Card in his pocket. His eyes went into space-out mode as a vision came to him.
*Vision*
The landscape of Medieval Plains looked horrible. The ground was shaking violently, cracks and fissures destroying the land. Structures fell from the intense vibrations. All of a sudden, a wave of rock spires began shooting up from the ground toward Kohaku's eyes, but he couldn't move. The rocks became dangerously close to impaling him…
*End Vision*
"Gwaaah!" Kohaku cried as he snapped back to reality, panting. His friends looked worried. "This might be the worst guy we've dealt with yet. If you see him… stay on your toes."
*Later That Day*
"Damn, man! I think you dislodged my jaw from that!" Hydro griped to Chiro in a secluded area, rubbing his chin. "I'm not as immune to pain as Aero is!" The greenette was sleeping nearby.
"Suck it up. I've got something bigger to worry about than your injuries." Chiro growled, his mouth twitching. "That gray-haired asshole has REALLY pissed me off!"
"You really can't control your anger, can you?" A voice that wasn't Hydro or Chiro said. There was a fourth person in the room. "I gotta admit, I saw everything that happened. Nice work selling it, Hydro."
"Thanks, I guess. This jaw seems like a crappy payment, though." Hydro groaned.
"Stuff it in your ear, Pyro…" Chiro said to the offscreen person. "I'll show him that I don't mess around…"
*The Next Day* *Third Period*
Kohaku and his friends were going through a normal day at school (or at least as normal as it could be), but they decided to keep on their toes. Especially Dizzy. 'That guy looked utterly murderous when he ran away.' The gray-haired teen thought. 'He could show up at any time.'
"Oi, Dizzy. You feelin' OK?" Kohaku asked, poking him.
"As OK as I'll ever be with Rockhead in the back of my mind." Dizzy responded.
If only Dizzy knew how justified his suspicions were. Outside the school building, Chiro Ganseki stomped forward and placed an odd-looking machine on the bare ground. "This oughta shake you out…" He slammed a button on the machine, causing a green line on the machine to start fluctuating wildly.
From behind him, a figure stood watching. 'As I figured… he's decided to go too far.'
Out of nowhere, the students inside the school felt the ground begin to shake slightly. "Whoa-oa-oa-what the?" Kohaku wondered.
"Did someone's science project explode somewhere?" Dizzy wondered.
That thought was thrown out the window as the tremor not only didn't stop, but it only got stronger. The students began to freak out. "Earthquake!" One of them shouted. The classroom quickly began to empty out, Kohaku, Dizzy, and the teacher following suit.
The rest of the school didn't fare much better. Students and some teachers alike were in a state of panic. "Everybody, head for your nearest exits!" Principal Wight's voice said over the intercom. "This is not a drill! Repeat, this is not a drill!"
One of the students in the crowd was knocked to the ground and was about to be trampled, but Dizzy managed to get him off the ground. "Follow the flow of traffic that way, man!" He said, pointing. The student nodded and rushed off. "Koha-kun, any idea how to get outta here?"
"Lemme find an exit!" Kohaku cried, quickly tapping through his Gamepad. His D-Vatar looked just as frantic as he did.
All of a sudden, a loud voice cut through the panic. "All right, stop running around like headless chickens!" As the voice faded out, the earthquake slowly began to taper off, the shaking slowing down until it had fully come to a stop.
The students, hearts still racing, leaned up against walls to catch their breaths. However, to Kohaku and Dizzy, the voice was unmistakeable. "Chiro!" They said to each other.
Outside the building, Chiro had a loudspeaker in his hand. The unknown figure behind him shook his unseen head. "You're just asking to get yourself arrested…"
"Attention, you Delta Dolts! You've just experienced a small taste of what my Seismic Wave Generator is capable of on a low setting!" Chiro shouted. "But I am in no mood for mercy! If the traitor to Beta District, Ren Naginata, a.k.a. Dizzy, does not report to the front walk of the school in the next...let's say 5 minutes, I will turn my Generator up to the 'Plate Crusher' setting and turn your precious school to dust! And to prove it, until you get here, I'll keep the Generator on low and shake you all up!" He pressed the button again, restarting the Generator. "Time starts now, assbites!"
As the school began to shake up again, Dizzy's face became an eerie stare. "Koha-kun, find anyone who might be trapped in there. I'm gonna deal with Rockhead."
Kohaku hadn't seen Dizzy act like this, but he nodded anyway. "Got it. Kick his ass, Dizzy-kun!" The tri-color-haired boy rushed off down the halls.
Outside the school, Chiro has a watch on his wrist, tapping his foot. "3 minutes left!" He announced.
"Shut your beak, I'm here!" Dizzy called to him, walking out the front of the building. Other students were still rushing out, but Dizzy ignored them. "Turn off your shake box already!"
Chiro's angry face didn't change, but he complied, turning off the Seismic Wave Generator. "Took you long enough! Now I can make you pay for your treachery!"
"Treachery? Dude, you're insane!" Dizzy shot back. "Threatening to reduce a school to dust just because I have friends in this District? What kind of reason is that?"
Chiro snorted. "One that's good enough for me."
"Well, I'm pulling the plug on you. Gimme that Generator!" He began to rush forward, but all of a sudden, Geo threw a small rock at Dizzy that somehow latched onto his wrist, making him stop. "What the?"
"What, you expected me to just let you take it from me? Please. I may be angry, but I'm not dumb." Chiro asked, placing another rock on his own wrist. Then, both rocks fired a piece of them toward each other attached to rock spires that were coming out of nowhere, latched onto its other to form a rock Duel Anchor, then all but the original two rocks shattered to pebbles. "You're underestimating my need for revenge. You had me pegged already, but I'll just outright tell you who I am!" With a quick stomp, Chiro somehow made a few small rock spires form behind him. He then beat his fists together, then placed his left fist into his right elbow while bending his arm. "The Berserker of Earth, Sykonetyk – Geo! And when someone ticks me off, they pay for it!" He stopped his pose and held up his Seismic Wave Generator. "The rocks on our wrists contain little devices that'll translate a signal to my Generator based on the outcome of a Duel. If you refuse to Duel me, the Generator will set off and reduce the school to nothing! If I beat you, same thing! Your only hope is to beat me, which will destroy the Generator! And I don't plan on letting that happen!" He dropped the device, letting it hit the ground.
"You Sykonetyks really like the Duel trap, don't you?" Dizzy mused.
"It gives me a kind of… sick joy, I guess." Geo admitted.
'At least he's honest about it.' The figure off to the side thought.
Dizzy growled. "I guess I don't have a choice, then. Let's go!"
"D-Controller, set!" Dizzy threw his D-Controller into the air and caught in his wrist in a one-foot spin. Breaking his spin, he placed his D-Gazer on his face. "D-Gazer, set!"
"RAAAAAH!" Geo yelled. "D-Controller, set!" All of a sudden, he thrust his arm into the ground, punching half his arm straight through it and unnerving Dizzy. Pulling back, his arm not only wasn't damaged at all, but it had a brown rocky-textured D-Controller with a Deck inside attached to the wrist and a rock in its hand. "D-Gazer, set!" Geo then placed the rock over his left eye, which shattered to reveal a brown rocky-textured D-Gazer with a tan lens.
'And I thought the other two Sykonetyks had insane tech! Those gloves are strong as hell!' Dizzy thought.
"AR VISION, LINK ESTABLISHED." Both players' D-Gazers flashed. Very few people stuck around to atch. "ESTABLISHING LINK BETWEEN A AND B." The area warped into the Augmented Reality.
"Get ready to fight for the fate of your school, Delta Dolt!" Geo growled.
"Bring it, Beta Blocker!" Dizzy retorted.
"DUEL!"
Dizzy LP:4000
Geo LP:4000
"Ore no turn! Draw!" Dizzy took the first move, drawing his card. "Top-Down Warrior, Shoukan!" The spike-headed, break-dancing fighter emerged and got into a battle stance.
Top-Down Warrior: Lv.4 WIND Warrior ATK:1600/DEF:1200
"Kaado ni mai settei! Turn end!" Two facedowns emerged.
"Ore no turn! Draw!" Geo drew his card. "Magic Card, Paleolith Science Magic – Animation, hatsudo!" From behind him, a stone column with four torches shot out of the ground. The column was lined with odd circuitry patterns. Standing on top of it was a monster: A tall, muscular man with deeply tanned skin and a scar-covered body, and a leather loincloth that was covered in what looked like bone jewelry, but the bones were fossilized and made of rock. He wore armor that consisted of a helmet, an arm guard on his right arm, and leg guards (all of which were made of fossilized bones, the helmet looking like the skull of a Ceratosaurus), but all of them were covered in a strange gray circuitry design. In his left hand was a shield made from a ribcage and a thick piece of metal. In his right was a sword with a long metal blade and a rock bone hilt. Both had the same circuitry designs. "By releasing Paleolith Warrior Saheelchady, I can call forth a Paleolith Ritual Monster!" All of a sudden, Saheelchady transformed into motes of light, all of which were absorbed by the column. Then, the circuitry on the pillar lit up the same gray color as Sahellchady's armor, and a beam of light shot up into the sky. "Gishiki Shoukan!" All of a sudden, a second beam of light shot back down from the sky and impacted the ground, causing a small crater.
All of a sudden, a massive monster smashed its way out of the ground and hovered its way into the air. It was truly a strange creature. It looked like a mix of fossilized dinosaur bones held together with sheets of metal to form a strange-looking living jetplane. It had large wings that flapped every now and then, but off the main body was a VERY long yet thin neck. It had a large head that ended in a pointed beak and had a massive "backwards hood" of a crest, looking almost like an arrowhead. "Kyūsekki Jūtensentō (Paleolith Beast Skyfighter)…" Its body was covered in circuitry, which lit up with Saheelchady's gray color, as did its eyes. "Quezacoltupux!" With a slow flap, the odd mechanical bird… thing let out a low caw.
Paleolith Beast Skyfighter Quezacoltupux: Lv.5 EARTH Rock/Machine (due to effect)/Ritual ATK:2250/DEF:1950
"Ritual Monsters." Dizzy mused. He heard footsteps behind him and saw Kohaku and the others rushing toward him.
Kohaku looked up at the Ritual Monster with his D-Gazer, getting info. "EARTH Rock-Type. Was I right about him, Dizzy-kun?"
"Yep. He's a Sykonetyk, Geo." Dizzy told him. "I've got this, Koha-kun. This rockhead's gonna get crushed."
"You have no idea how wrong you are." Geo said. "Quezacoltupux, attack Top-Down Warrior! Rocket Pillar!" Hatches suddenly opened up on the massive bird-plane's wings, and pillars of rock shot out like missiles toward the ground. Top-Down Warrior looked up and went bug-eyed for about a second before the pillars smashed into the ground, one of them lancing right through him… and sticking him to the facedown right behind them.
Dizzy LP:3350
"Quezacoltupux no kouka hatsudo! When it destroys a monster by battle, you take 600 points of damage! And since there was a Magic or Trap Card in the Zone right behind your monster, it gets destroyed, too!" All of a sudden, the pillar lanced through Warrior and the facedown began beeping before it exploded, taking both its victims with it.
"Gaaaaahhh…" Dizzy groaned.
Dizzy LP:2750
Dizzy shook his head and looked forward. "Trap, hatsudo! Summon Spiral! When a WIND monster ends up leaving the field, I can Summon another one from my Deck with the same Level or lower!" A spiraling green bridge shot out from his Deck and impacted the ground. "Ideyo, Drill Dancer!" His monster emerged from the bridge in a spinning motion, appearing as a humanoid female dressed in a green ballerina outfit, moving gracefully… with the exception of two huge drills in place of her hands.
Drill Dancer: Lv.4 WIND Fairy ATK:1500/DEF:500
"I knew you'd be trouble. That's why I brought up my Rituals early." Geo said. "Kaado ichi mai settei! Turn end!"
"Ore no turn! Draw!" Dizzy drew his card. "Magic Card, Card Destruction, hatsudo! We discard our hands for new ones!" Both players dumped their hands, Dizzy drawing three and Geo drawing two. "I release Drill Dancer! Adobansu Shoukan!" Drill Dancer did another spin, being covered in a tornado. "Ideyo, Rotation Star Pod!" The tornado dissipated to reveal a new monster within: A circular silver ship o f some sort with a raised white star pattern, a red jewel in the center. The ship was spinning rapidly, but it slowed to a stop with the jewel pointed forward.
Rotation Star Pod: Lv.5 WIND Machine/Base ATK:1500/DEF:2200
"Rotation Star Pod no kouka hatsudo! I can use it for a Composition Summon with one less monster than normal! Let's kick this Duel up a notch!" Rotation Star Pod's jewel lit up brightly, and both Top-Down Warrior and Drill Dancer appeared from purple portals. "Ore wa Top-Down Warrior, Drill Dancer to, Reberu Go no Rotation Star Pod de Shinajaizu!" All three monsters began their own rapid spinning motions, sending green energy into the air and forming a pure green sphere of energy, then all three of them became Soul Towers that fired green lightning at the sphere, energizing it. "Kono san-tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru!" The green sphere slowly grew into a large five-pointed star shape, spinning slowly. The space between its points was filled in to complete the circle (but the ends of its points stuck out off the circle), and a red glow flashed on in the center. "Arawareyo…" The light receded, revealing it to be a much larger version of its own Base, but pale purple instead gold, a silver star pattern, slightly thicker, and a more intricate crystal in its center. Then, the back opened up, and a conical "tail" slowly came out of it, two rings on the tail that had their own five-pointed star of spikes on them, which were slowly spinning in opposite directions. "Rotation Star Station!" The crystal in the center glowed ominously, the main body still energized by the Soul Towers below.
Rotation Star Station: Quality 5 WIND Machine/Composition ATK:2550/DEF:2450 3 Active Soul Towers
"Whoa. Sweet monster!" Kohaku mused, smiling.
"Rotation Star Station no kouka hatsudo!" All of a sudden, all three of its Soul Towers shut off, and the top spike of its front opened up like a hatch. "For each Soul Tower I deactivate, I can Special Summon a Rotation Star Token!" From the hatch, three small variants of Rotation Star Pod emerged from it, taking spaces on the field. Aside from their size, they looked almost identical to Pod, only being gold-colored instead of silver. All three cores flashed.
Rotation Star Token x3: Lv.3 WIND Machine/Token ATK:500/DEF:500
Rotation Star Station: 0 Active Soul Towers
"All right! Time for some payback! Rotation Star Station, attack his flying boulder!" Star Station slowly angled its front to face Quezacoltupux, its core glowing dimly and ominously. The star patterns on its back began to spin faster and faster, winding up its front as the glow of its core got brighter and brighter. "Spiral Destruction Beam!" All of a sudden, the core fired a massive spiraling red laser that, disturbingly, demolished the flying rock/machine's massive neck, causing a chain reaction explosion in its body while its head, still cawing in pain, fell to the ground and exploded. Finally, the body itself was reduced to pieces from internal explosions, each piece falling to earth separately.
"How dare you…?!" Geo growled, his eye beginning to twitch.
Geo LP:3700
"Now you're open! My Rotation Star Tokens now attack you directly!" The three gold ships arranged themselves in a triangle pattern and began spinning rapidly, their cores glowing and forming orbs of red energy over them. Then, lines of energy connected to their center, and the balls of energy were fired like a three-pronged bolo shot, impacting the ground near Geo with a powerful explosion.
"GRAAAAAAHHHH!" Geo yelled among the shockwave.
Geo LP:2200
The earth-themed Sykonetyk recoiled and had to keep brace himself by stomping his foot, panting. 'I'm starting to wonder if he was sane when he thought of this.' The unknown figure from behind wondered.
"…That power… You're attacking me out of hate, aren't you?" Geo asked. He gave a small smirk. "Did my little stunt with my generator… set you off, Delta Dolt? HUH?!"
"Does the glare on my face not tell you that yes, I'm angry as hell at you?" Dizzy shot out. "Kaado ichi mai settei! Turn end!"
"Kick his ass, Dizzy!" "Make him pay!" "Go, Naginata-kun!" Various voices were yelling. The gang saw that masses of students from inside the school had filed out and were shouting in Dizzy's favor and cussing out Geo left and right. The glares in some of their eyes looked outright murderous.
Geo merely stared at the masses for a moment, then he spoke. "So, you all hate me now, don't you?" He asked them. Various affirmative answers came among the shouting. "…Good… That's what I want to… SEEEEEEEEEE!" Geo yelled the final word of his sentence to the sky. "Hate me! That's what I want! Go ahead and curse all things Beta District for all I care! It only makes me and my District feel better about ourselves for when we take the offensive to you!" He leveled a stare at Dizzy. "Ore no turn! Draw!" He drew his card. "Magic Card, Paleolith Science Magic – Animation, hatsudo!" The same pillar from the first activation of the card rose from the ground once more, but standing atop it was a different monster: A young girl, only the age of 8, wearing a fur dress decorated with rock bone jewelry, rock bone bracelets (3 on her right wrist, 2 on her left), and a fossilized bony headdress made from an unknown dinosaur skull, the eyes of which were used to hold her long black hair in a twin ponytail like style. The bones she wore had the same circuitry design as Saheelchady, but in an almost lavender color. "Paleolith Shaman Tourmaine no kouka hatsudo! If the Ritual Monster I am Summoning is EARTH, she can be used as the only offering!" Tourmaine let out a yell before she was converted into light particles and absorbed into the pillar, causing its dead circuitry to light up with the same lavender color. "Gishiki Shoukan!" A massive beam of lavender-colored light was fired into the sky, piercing the clouds, and after a while, a second beam of light came down and crashed into the earth, creating a miniature crater as a new form began to emerge from it.
From the crater, a new figure smashed its way to the surface, and it didn't look friendly. At the same time, though, its features were more recognizable than the last Ritual. It was a rocky dinosauric skeleton with the head of a T-rex and the back-mounted sail of a Spinosaurus, but it also had various bits of weaponry mounted to its combination rock-and-metal body: Cannons for hands, missile launchers on its back, and a drill-like tail. "Kyūsekki Jūkyojin (Paleolith Beast Titan)…" It was covered in lavender circuitry, inherited from its Tribute. "Tyspinnaran!" Its eyes flashed yellow, and it let out a powerful roar that sounded like the head of its creature, carrying tones of both halves of its origin: Prehistoric and mechanical.
Paleolith Beast Titan Tyspinnaran: Lv.8 EARTH Rock/Machine(due to effect)/Ritual ATK:2950/DEF:1700
"Tyspinnaran, attack one of the Rotation Star Tokens! Prehistoric Cannon!" The dinosauric hybrid leaned down and opened its maw, revealing a built-in blaster cannon. Small rock pieces gathered into it, and with a roar of the beast's mouth, a large bullet made out of rock was shot out with a loud BANG, going straight for one of the gold ships.
Dizzy, however, came prepared. "Trap Card, Drag Shield, hatsudo!" The Rotation Star Token began spinning rapidly, unleashing a spiral of wind that impacted the incoming attack, causing it to be slowed down immensely, but still incoming. "Against my WIND monster, this attack slows your attack down enough to have its power become the same as my monster's Attack Points!"
Tyspinnaran ATK:500
However, the rock bullet still kept on course and plowed into Rotation Star Token, exploding into shards. While it didn't destroy it, it caused the ship to begin malfunctioning violently. "What did that accomplish?"
Dizzy chuckled. "Rotation Star Station no kouka hatsudo! When a Rotation Star Token is destroyed by battle… one card on your field gets blown away by the explosion, right back to your hand!" All of a sudden, the Token began spinning rapidly and blaring a warning siren, the malfunction coating it in red energy. Then, it shot straight forward, impacting Tyspinnaran's chest, and annihilating itself with an explosion, the explosion's force sending the massive monster flying backwards and into the form of an energy ball, ending up back in Geo's hand.
Geo stared at Dizzy's counter to what might've been the strongest Ritual Monster in his Deck for a few seconds, then… "GRAAAAAAAH! That makes me so mad… but it only gives me more power! Trap Card, Paleolith Science Failure, hatsudo! By sending a Paleolith Ritual Monster from my hand to my Graveyard, I can Special Summon a non-Ritual Paleolith from my Graveyard!" He got rid of Tyspinnaran. "Your card gave me this monster earlier: Paleolith Shaman Homahab, Tokushu Shoukan!" This Paleolith resembled a young woman with long, dark brown hair. She wore a leather bikini decorated with rocky bone jewelry, a necklace with a small stone skull on it, leather arm guards, and a rock/metal chestplate. She held a staff with a small dinosaur skull topping it. A red circuitry design covered her staff and clothes.
Paleolith Shaman Homahab: Lv.6 EARTH Rock/Spellcaster(due to effect)/Base ATK:1600/DEF:1000
"A Base Monster!" Dizzy realized.
"Weapon of the ancient world… YOMIGAERE (REVIVE)!" Homahab pointed her staff to the sky, and three purple portals opened up, bringing back Saheelchady, Tourmaine, and Quezacoltupux (the last of these on a much smaller scale). "Ore wa… Saheelchady, Tourmaine, Quezacoltupux to, Reberu Roku no Kyūsekki Kitōshi (Paleolith Shaman) Homahab de, SHINAJAIZU!" All four monsters sent their energies to above them, forming a pure orange sphere of energy, then all four of them transformed into Soul Towers, firing orange lightning to energize the sphere. "Kono yon-tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru! Kōzu Shoukan!" All of a sudden, the orange sphere became a column of light that broke through the ground, and a bright flash occurred. The flash died down, and standing on Geo's field was a giant amalgamation of black dinosaur bones (which were actually made of rock) and metal. Three long necks extended from its body, each topped with a rocky skull of a Triceratops (left), T-Rex (center), and Pteranodon, bobbing hungrily as they stared down Dizzy. "Kyūsekki Keitai Kaseki (Paleolith Mobile Fossil)..." Each of its six arms were tipped with sharpened steel claws, and its multiple tails slithered about like tentacles. Looking back up, Dizzy saw a large red orb held within its ribcage, and within it, he could just make out Homahab floating unconsciously in the fetal position. It seemed as if she was the only thing holding this monster together. "DARK DEVOURER!" All three heads' eyes flashed before they let out a combined roar, their body energized by the Soul Towers.
Paleolith Mobile Fossil – Dark Devourer: Quality 6 EARTH Rock/Composition ATK:2500/DEF:2500 4 Active Soul Towers
"Holy…" Kohaku, Doc, and Plata breathed at the same time.
"Dark Devourer no kouka hatsudo!" One of its Soul Towers shut off. "By deactivating a Soul Tower… all of your monsters are destroyed and banished!" All three of Devourer's heads detached from their necks, flashed their eyes, then morphed into energy, fusing together into order to form a HUGE, phantom-like dinosaur head. "Biting CRUSH!" Then, the head's jaw opened real wide, and…
CRUNCH!
With a single bite, the remaining two Rotation Star Tokens and Rotation Star Station itself were crunched by the phantom teeth, their metal bodies being reduced to pieces and exploding. "And at the same time, for each card destroyed, you lose 400 Life Points!" Out of nowhere, another set of phantom fangs appeared from behind Dizzy and chomped him. However, as Station was the only actual card, the Life Point loss was less than expected.
Dizzy LP:2350
"My anger is what unlocked my true strength…" Geo said as Devourer's three heads returned to their necks. "Turn end!"
"Ngh. Ore no turn! Draw!" Dizzy drew his card. "Kuso! This can't help! Monsuta settei!" A facedown monster emerged. "Turn end!"
"Come on, Dizzy!" "You can beat him!" "Don't give up!" The crowd cried to support him.
"Ore no turn… Draw!" Geo drew his card. "Dark Devourer no kouka hatsudo! During my Standby Phases, I must send the top 3 cards of my Deck to the Graveyard!" He swiped three cards and fanned them out, revealing a standard Paleolith, a Ritual Paleolith, and a Trap. "For each Paleolith I send, it can gains 200 Attack Points… and 300 MORE Attack Points for each Ritual among them!" The images of both monsters appeared in front of Devourer, but the side two heads went to work and chomped them up… very noisily.
Dark Devourer ATK:3200
"Equip Magic, Fairy Meteor Crush, hatsudo! Dark Devourer's battle damage can now pulverize your defenses to strike you!" Devourer roared loudly. "Dark Devourer, crush that facedown! End of the Era!" All three heads opened their mouths to the sky and fired a bolt of red energy into the clouds… which ended up calling a HUGE red-energy-cloaked meteor down from above. The falling chunk of rock fell straight down toward Dizzy's facedown, which revealed itself as some sort of helicopter, and smashed straight into it, causing a massive earthquake and a powerful wave of energy to wash across the field.
"Nyaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" Dizzy yelled as he was flung from his feet by the shockwave, landing on his back.
Dizzy LP:150
"Dizzy-kun/Dizzy!" His friends cried. The crowd was sent into a rage at this.
'Yes… Just the desired result!' The figure to the side thought with a smile. 'I didn't give you enough credit, Geo. You've certainly instilled the fires of rage in them.'
"RAAAAAAH! This… THIS is my power!" Geo growled. "Make your last move… so I may place you in your grave! Turn end!"
Dizzy slowly got to his feet. "Ore no turn… Draw!" He drew his card and flipped it over… grinning. "Lucksacked yet again!"
Geo's eyes widened. "He couldn't have!"
"Magic Card, Propulsion Fan, hatsudo! I can Special Summon a Level 3 or below WIND monster from my Deck!" An odd silver fan-like turbine appeared and began spinning, blowing a tunnel of wind into the field. The blades glowed blue, and a blue beam of energy was fired from them, striking the ground and changing form. "Koi, Spiral Butterfly!" His monster emerged as an odd light green butterfly of sorts with seemingly normal red wings, but the wings spun around like fan blades. It also had spiraling antennae. Propulsion Fan then shrunk in size and equipped to its back.
Spiral Butterfly: Lv.2 WIND Insect ATK:600/DEF:1200
"Propulsion Fan also lets me use Spiral Butterfly as two monsters when I release it! Go!" Propulsion Fan kicked up a wind tunnel behind Butterfly, who revved up its own wings and shot into the air, creating a much more powerful combined tornado on the field. "Adobansu Shoukan!" The tornado turned an ominous red, and two large, red, familiar clawed hands came out of the winds. "When the wind turns red, order as it is known is in danger!" Then, the young red fiend that controlled the tornado rose from the top. "Hold onto your hats as the hurricane hits high gear!" The devil boy's eyes shot open, but rather than grin, it looked serious as it caught sight of Dark Devourer. "Crimson Cycloner!" Cycloner then shot down with a kick to dispel the large tornado, hitting the ground before hopping up and sitting on a smaller red tornado, his large hands flanking him.
Crimson Cycloner: Lv.8 WIND Fiend ATK:2900/DEF:1300
"An impressive monster… yet still pathetic against my ancient weapon!" Geo mused. Devourer's heads roared at Cycloner, who didn't appear threatened at all.
Dizzy smirked. "Spiral Butterfly no kouka hatsudo!" An image of the butterfly appeared and revved up its wings, blowing a tornado around Dizzy. "When it's sent to the Graveyard, I can take two Magic or Trap Cards from my Graveyard… and place 'em facedown!" Two cards were swept up by the wind and placed on Dizzy's field. Cycloner saw this and grinned. "Now I can take you down! Crimson Cycloner no kouka hatsudo!" The devil boy made his three-finger hands signs, his large hands mimicking him as his tornado grew. "Demolish the order! Crimson Cyclone!" Shooting his arms out, Cycloner made his red winds ravage the field, and in order, they destroyed a card on both sides of the field (Fairy Meteor Crush and one facedown), returned one on each side to the hand (Devourer and the other facedown), discarded one card from each hand (except Dizzy, whose hand was empty), and returned a card from each Graveyard to the hand, leaving Geo's field completely empty.
"NANI?!" Geo growled.
"It's over! Crimson Cycloner, direct attack! Crimson Drill Claw!" Cycloner stood up on his tornado and shot his hands forward, forcing his large hands to mirror him. With a clap and twist of his hands, the large hands became a spinning red tornado drill that slammed straight into the ground, sending a shockwave of red wind everywhere.
"GRAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Geo yelled as he was thrown back, landing face-first in the dirt he intended for Dizzy to eat.
Dizzy LP:150
Geo LP:0 – LOSER
The buzzer blared with Dizzy's face above the word "WIN", prompting an almost mob-like cheer among the students of the school (sans Dizzy's friends, for some reason). Dizzy himself didn't even crack a smile as Geo picked himself off the ground. "Grrr… Grrrrgh…" The Sykonetyk growled as he panted with a glare on his face. However, the rock attached to his wrist glowed for a moment, then exploded. Then, the Seismic Wave Generator's needle started vibrating off the charts before it, too, exploded. "Graaahh…"
"Yeah, now what?!" "Get lost, Beta Blocker!" "You should rot in jail!" Some students yelled.
"Let's get him!" One of them yelled, prompting several students to rush forward.
'I don't think so.' The figure on the side thought, holding an odd device and clicking a button.
Out of nowhere, a wall of fire struck up in the students' path, making them screech to frightened halts. "Nani?!" Kohaku gasped. "Where'd that fire come from?"
"You got some sort of backup device on you, Geo?" Dizzy accused.
Geo shook for a moment. "Only backup I've got… is my own fists!" He immediately stood straight up and glared at Dizzy. He suddenly lunged forward with his metal-gloved fist balled up. "Come here!" Dizzy reacted and grabbed his fist with his hand, trying to keep the fist from slamming into his face.
The gray-haired teen struggled against the punch, then glared. "…Twister Kick!" He suddenly spun himself on one foot and delivered a quick spin kick right to the neck, sending Geo reeling and spinning himself back onto his feet. "You think you can beat me so easily?"
Geo righted himself and stared at his opponent. "You don't know who you're dealing with…" He then cracked his neck muscles. "Prepare to feast on the DIRT!"
The two brawlers had a brief VS Spot between them before they lunged forward, each throwing a punch that managed to slam the other in the cheek. It only devolved from there, with both of them using whatever moves they could use to inflict pain. Kohaku and his friends didn't like where this was going. "Guys, let's get Dizzy-kun out of there!" Kohaku told them.
"Right!" They responded, but as they tried to rush forward, another wall of fire sprug up in their path to stop them.
"Nyaaah!" Yoru yelled. "Where is this fire coming from?!"
"RAAAAH!" Geo yelled, raising his fists. "Fissure Punch!" Dizzy managed to see the split-second window in order to dodge as Geo brought down his fists in a two-handed hammer punch, impacting the ground and causing a brief shake. However, the Sykonetyk used that to his advantage and immediately rammed into his opponent with his shoulder, sending Dizzy back a couple feet.
"Ngh! Why you!" Dizzy yelled. "I'll spin you out!" Moving back toward Geo, he threw him off by giving a quick side hop, angling himself to deliver another Twister Kick right to Geo's stomach. "Eat this!" Dizzy quickly followed it up with an uppercut to the jaw.
Rambunctious cheers roared from the students of Delta High South. "Kick his ass!" "Break his jaw, Dizzy!" "Make him eat dirt!"
'This had better be good enough, Pyro…' Geo thought.
'The fire only grows from the fuel. Impressive work, Geo.' The figure to the side said in his mind while watching the students go crazy.
"Quake Scissor!" Geo yelled, bringing back his hands, fists balled up, only to slam them both against Dizzy's head like a clap attack, causing his eyes to cross briefly.
However, Dizzy grinned. "Nice try, pal." He grabbed both of Geo's wrists. "Attacking the head is the worst choice when facing me." With a quick shove, Dizzy sent Geo reeling, then he cracked his fists. "My turn!" Lunging forward, he angled himself on his foot and… "Super Spinner Punch!"
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
The earth Sykonetyk's jaw was quite possibly broken, having endured five consecutive hits from the gray-haired teen's fist and sent down to the earth. Dizzy angled himself back and stood strong. Geo panted heavily, his face in a pure glare. "Curse it… curse it all…" All of a sudden, he heard a beeping: His D-Controller. Pulling it out weakly (without being interrupted), he saw a message:
That'll do for now. You've made the desired result. –Pyro
'So… he's been watching…' Geo thought. Grunting, he slowly stood up and glared at Dizzy. "I'll give you this round… but it's not over!" He shot a glare at the crowd. "You all hate me?! FINE! Then hear my words: From this day forth, our Districts are at war!" He pointed at them. "May every inter-District relationship you've made be crumpled into little pieces!"
"What do you have against us?!" Dizzy yelled.
Geo glared at him. "The incidents against your school… You brought them to us! You Deltas attacked us… This is Beta's revenge!"
"Liar!" "We didn't do anything!" "You're insane!" Shouts came from the crowd.
"Believe what you want, but come the School Duel… You'll know the truth!" Geo yelled. "You started this fight… So we'll finish it!" With a loud yell, he suddenly slammed the ground with his fists, causing a circle of rock spires to completely surround him. Then, the spires cracked and shattered to pieces, and Sykonetyk – Geo was gone.
Kohaku and the others walked next to Dizzy, staring at the crater that was left behind. Dizzy's fists clenched. "GAAAAAH!" He yelled. "Why do they keep getting away?!"
"Hey, guys!" Hiroki's voice called to them. They turned to see him rushing up to them. "I just got here from a doctor's appointment! Am I hearing this right? Chiro Ganseki attacked the school?"
"Yeah. And he's spilled the information of being a part of a group called the 'Sykonetyks'." Doc told him.
Hiroki's face paled. "The Sykonetyks… They're here?!"
"You know about them?" Kohaku asked.
Hiroki gulped. "...I used to be one of them." Kohaku gasped. "But that's not me anymore. You're sure it was them?" The tri-color-haired boy nodded.
"And your friends Mizumaru and Fubuki are a part of them." Dizzy said, holding up his video camera. "I've got the proof. I also recorded everything Geo said."
Hiroki looked shocked and betrayed. "Oh, man… We need to spread the word, ASAP!"
*Two Weeks Later*
In the plaza of Delta Central Park, numerous students were gathered outside of a stage that was set up, a massive viewing screen behind it. Standing on the stage were three people: Principal Wight, Hiroki, and another man. "Everyone, may I have your attention, please?" Principal Wight said into the microphone, getting the crowd's attention. "I am Principal Shiromaru Wight of Delta High South, and I have called everyone from the Delta District schools here to assess the current situation. Our scheduled School Duel between the five Districts of Sigma City is beginning to become a risky maneuver, as incidents have been occurring throughout schools in four out of five Districts: Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma."
"You call nearly getting our school shaken to dust an 'incident'?!" One of the Delta High South students shouted.
"We nearly drowned in our school building!" Another student from a different school cried.
Hiroki quickly took the microphone. "Yes, yes, we know what's been happening!" He quickly said to try and calm them down. "It has been confirmed via video proof that all these incidents have been caused by a group of four individuals, one from each of the Districts." He pressed a button on a remote, causing images of Hydro, Aero, Geo, and a fourth picture that was very fuzzy. "Statements recorded from three of the incidents by a student from my school have tied at least three of them to an apparent street gang with access to obscene technology known as the 'Sykonetyks'." Hydro, Aero, and Geo's pictures were highlighted. "In order, the three we know of are Mizumaru Suihara of Gamma District, Fubuki Kazehana of Alpha District, and Chiro Ganseki of Beta District, who respectfully call themselves 'Hydro', 'Aero', and 'Geo'. The fourth member was unable to be captured clearly, but an inscription doodled on a wall in a school attacked in Alpha District indicates the culprit… is from our District." The group gasped and began chattering among themselves. Kohaku's group had stern expressions. "Everyone, please stay calm. There is the chance that the fourth member, who we have currently dubbed 'Pyro' due to their use of odd fire-generation technology," He produced a picture of the Alpha school with firefighters battling a fire "has decided not to show their face here. But rest assured, authorities are doing what they can to find and apprehend those that we know." He sighed. "This is a personal problem for me. I used to be a member of that group... and Mizumaru and Fubuki were supposed to be my friends. They were never this bad before, but now they've gone too far. I fear that these attacks may be on purpose to destroy relations between the Districts and spawn hostility."
"Well, it's working! Bring them all on, we'll crush 'em!" A student yelled, getting the crowd to support him with yells. Kohaku and company didn't like the sound of that.
"You can't believe that everyone in the other Districts deserves our hate for the actions of one from each!" Hiroki yelled to them. "We have to see through this! It is the Sykonetyks alone that are responsible!"
"You're wasting your breath. Hate drives us all in the end." A voice said calmly. All of a sudden, Principal Wight and the other man were knocked to the ground next to Hiroki.
"Nani?!" He cried. Whirling around, his eyes widened. "Y… YOU?!"
The crowd looked on with shock at who had shown up, especially Kohaku and his group. 'Who... Who is that...?' Kohaku thought, sweating bullets. The Silver Card glowed ominously in its pocket, almost like a warning...

Vile: Thus ends the 10th chapter of GSTART. Now then, I will warn all my readers up front that there will be another long wait between this and Chapter 11, but I have a good reason: For the next 16 chapters, I am going to write all 16 of them out at once and then update weekly once they are finished, so there won't be a long wait between them once I start. Sound good? Of course it does! XD If you guys liked this chapter, leave a review for me! Ja ne for now, and Happy New Year, everyone!
