KH Birth by Sleep: Harumi's Quest

Chapter 10: Fight and good news

She started to walk and craved something to eat, it was sweet yet salty; sea salt ice cream. She went to purchase the ice cream and sat down and ate it. When she finished the ice cream she saw the words 'WINNER' on the stick. She smiled and kept it in her pocket, this was the first time she won this.

The red haired teen got up and started walking again but then she heard someone call her name.

"Harumi!" She turned around with a big smile to see her little brother.

"Lea!" She ran up to him.

"What's up Haru? Long-time no see. Hey, how's your training?" He asked.

"It's great; I'm a Keyblade Master now!" She said.

"Wow! I'm gonna tell grandma Lavina and Hanako about this, they'll be so happy." He smiled. "I wanna use a Keyblade too."

"Someday, you'll use the Keyblade. But don't forget…" Harumi tapped his chest. "Your heart is the strongest weapon of all; remember this, that's what dad said to me."

"You're right Harumi!" He grinned. "But what are you doing here, anyway?"

"I'm on a mission." His mouth formed an 'O'

"Why don't you come home for a little, Haru? It's been SOOOO long!" He stated dramatically. She shook her head.

"I can't it's just that I have to find Terra really quickly." She said.

"Is everything okay?" She sighed and gulped a little.

"Yeah." He notice there was something different about her.

"Hey, Harumi you've got this glow on your face. It's really nice yet different." He said. She looked at him with a smile. She held his hands tightly.

"I've got good news, Lea." She stated and he looked at her curiously. "I'm pregnant with Terra's child. You're going to be an Uncle and you're the first to know."

Anyone could see the amount of utter happiness and bliss within Lea's bright green eyes. He had such a smile on his face that no one had ever seen in their lives. He had tears of joy in his eyes.

"You're pregnant?" He asked.

"Congratulations, you're going to be an Uncle." She giggled and then he hugged her so tightly.

"Congrats, sis. You're gonna be a mom." He mumbled. "I bet you'll turn out to be just like mom." She smiled at this with a tear falling down her cheek.

"Thank you. I want you to tell grandma Lavina and Hanako." She said and he nodded. He pulled away from her and looked at her stomach.

"That's why you looked like you gained a little weight. And I thought you had too much ice cream." Harumi pouted and flicked his head. "Hey, I was kidding! Got it memorised? Can I feel your stomach?" She nodded at this.

The red haired young pyro kneeled on his knee and pressed his hand against his sister's slightly swelled stomach. He felt his unborn niece kicking and her heart beat gently and lightly.

"Hey there, little guy. This is you uncle Lea here. Are you all snuggly in mama? I bet you're comfortable in where you are." He started talking and his elder sister smiled at this.

"Lea, for some reason I feel like I'm going to have a daughter." She stated and he looked up at her with sparkling eyes.

"Really?" He looked back at her stomach again. "Aw, wait till you come out and grow up. We'll have all kinds of fun. You're gonna meet your great grandmas, one's pretty old though." Harumi couldn't help but snicker; he was talking about Lavina who hated being called old.

"You're gonna also meet someone amazing who you'll love so much. You're gonna meet your aunty Haruka. Me, you and Haruka will have sea salt ice cream and sit with each other and watch the sunset." He said. Lea stood up and looked at his sister. "Does Terra know?"

"No, I need to find him and tell him." She said.

"But it's dangerous out there!" He exclaimed and she sighed.

"I'll be alright, Lea. Don't worry." She mumbled.

"You better be careful Haru. Got it memorised?" She rolled her eyes at this.

"Yes, yes I got it memorised." She sighed.

"Hey, Harumi what are you gonna name her?" He asked curiously and he looked up at him.

"I'll call her Hikari." Lea smiled at this. "She'll bring the worlds light."

Her face turned serious and she held his hands really tightly whilst staring into her brother's eyes.

"You need to look after grandma Lavina and Hanako. I'm giving you a responsibility to also take care of Haruka too." She said.

"What are you saying? Aren't you coming back?" He asked.

"I'm not sure." His eyes widened

"But…"Then she suddenly hugged him.

"Why do I feel like this is the last time I'm ever gonna see you again." She smiled with a tear falling down her cheek. She instantly pulled away and started walking after. "Bye Lea, don't get into any trouble when I'm gone. Pass the good news to grandma Lavina and Hanako. I love you guys."

"We love you too, Harumi…" He whispered.

Harumi entered the Central Square Garden and saw a masked boy dressed in this red and black bodysuit. She ran to the middle of the square and he turned to her. It was Haruka's elder sister.

"You're the boy that Ventus mentioned!" She shouted.

"Ah yes, Ventus. Tell me something, has he learned to put up a decent fight yet?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I'll be asking the questions!" Harumi shut her eyes and felt a headache again.

"Why did you follow me here?" She crossed her arms.

"I have a question or two to ask you."

"Well, I have something to tell you." Phoenix growled and glared at the silver haired boy.

"I'll be asking the questions. Why are you impersonating our Organisation?"

Harumi opened her blue eyes again as the headache disappeared; how were those 2?

"…And why shouldn't I? After all, between the 2 of us, I'll be the only who'll walk away from here alive." He summoned his Keyblade but gulped as he thought about Haruka.

"Are you…really going to hurt my friends and my sister?" Haruka asked so adorably and he looked up into her emerald green eyes, the same green eyes he met 2 years ago.

"Shouldn't you be asking if I'm going to hurt you, instead?" Haruka shook her head at this.

"No, my friends and family are more important than myself or my safety. Will you hurt them? Will you hurt me?" He sighed at this.

"No, I won't hurt you. I will never hurt you, you just need to promise me that you won't tell that Master or anyone else about this or else bad things are going to happen to you." He mumbled quietly. She took a moment to think about it; she couldn't tell her sister. Then she looked up at him and nodded

"Vanitas please don't hurt my sister very much. I love her." He sighed again and held her little hands; they were so soft and warm.

"I won't hurt her a lot, but I have to. Don't worry, I won't kill her." The tears fell down her cheeks and she started to cry quietly. Vanitas frowned at this and cupped her cheeks. With his thumbs he wiped away her tears.

"Over my dead body!" Harumi shouted and summoned her Keyblade.

She ran up to him and he swung his Keyblade at her with brute force. She dodged it and swung her Keyblade too. She had to jump around and away from him a lot. She used her magic powers and the Keyblade which was formed from the flowers Kairi gave her aided her.

Finally, Harumi defeated him and he lied on the ground. She panted and walked up to him. The red haired young woman was about to take his mask off but then he started laughing so evilly. She had the headache again and saw another vision.

She jumped way up high up to the Darkside's chest where his heart would be. The red haired nobody floated in the air just like Ansem and held her weapon with both hands over her head. Phoenix and Kura turned their heads towards Xemnas with twisted, wicked and cruel smiles.

"I heard everything the day I failed to protect myself, oh superior. How I would be useless to this Organisation." They said in perfect sync and started laughing. Xemnas had no emotion on his face but his orange eyes were filled with anger and irritation.

"Oh, I am not very useless to this Organisation, now, am I? Allow me to demonstrate why, BEHOLD!" Phoenix pierced the Keyblade into the Darkside and it roared with pain.

Harumi jumped back and stared at the masked boy who stood up. "Not bad at all. Congratulations, especially on the future arrival." Her eyes widened; how did he know. "I know because I heard you talking to your brother. I'll see you around, take care of yourself now."

She growled at him and gripped onto her Keyblade.

"Never hurts to have a backup." He said and walked into this portal of darkness as he disappeared.

"I need to stop him before anything bad happens to Terra and Ven." She said to herself.

"Harumi!" She heard Ven shout and he ran up to her.

"Were you able to find Terra, Ven?" She asked.

"Yeah, but he's gone." He said and she frowned at this.

"Oh…Then, I can't stay here." She stated.

"Let me come with you Haru." Ven smiled.

"No Ven, do as I say and go home." She told him off and he sighed.

"Why won't you let me?" He asked.

"I don't want you to get hurt." Harumi turned to him and placed her hand onto his face. "Do you understand, Ven? I want you to go home and stay with Ruka. She needs and loves you." She said with tears falling down her cheeks.

The young woman stood back and touched a piece of her armour to summon her whole armour suit. She then walked away from Ven with an aching heart.

Later…

Lea returned home and saw that Haruka was gone from visiting Radiant Garden as Master Eraqus was taking care of her. He was sad that he couldn't say goodbye to his little sister.

"Lea!" He heard Lavina shouted as he entered the kitchen. The woman had black straight hair tied up in a ponytail with many strands of grey. She was pale with a few wrinkles and had blue eyes which Harumi inherited from. "You were supposed to drop off Haruka home but she came alone. Where were you?"

"Sorry grandma." The woman turned red and pouted; this made her feel old.

"I bet you were with Saix. You are a bad influence on the innocent boy." Lea's jaw dropped to ground.

"What do you mean? It's the other way round." Hanako laughed a bit at this as she entered and sat down at the table. She had bright red hair but from the top of her head there were a few strands of grey hair. Her eyes were violet.

"And where were you?" Lavina asked her daughter-in-law's mother.

"Well, I was at the Castle working with Ansem." She answered with a soft smile as she poured her tea.

"Yeah, working…" The elder grandmother sarcastically said whilst rolling her eyes. Lea snickered at this but Hanako glared at him which made him quiet.

"I am telling the truth. We were thinking of ways to improve the safety of Radiant Garden and thought of this computer. It…" But Lavina didn't let her finish.

"You know very well that I am not good with computers nor do I know anything about them. I might just break it when I touch it." She laughed.

"Um, Harumi passed by here." They both looked at Lea with wide eyes and smiled.

"Really?" They asked with a smile.

"Yeah, she's on a mission." He stated.

"How is she?" Hanako asked.

"Is she eating alright? How is her training?" Lavina questioned. They both missed their granddaughter very much as they didn't see her much.

"She's a Keyblade Master." They both smiled at this.

"Just like my son." The dark haired woman mumbled with a tear falling down her cheek.

"She's made us so proud." Hanako said.

"That's not all, I have more good news. Brace yourselves." They looked at their grandson with curiousity. "Harumi's pregnant with Terra's child." They gasped and smiled so much with tears of joy falling down their cheeks.

"That's beautiful." Lavina said with clasped hands. "But isn't it dangerous?"

"She said she would be very careful." Lea stated.

Hanako sipped her tea but then her eyes widened and she blinked. She then placed the cup on the table a little loudly. They turned to her and stared; she looked a little shocked yet happy at the same time.

"What's wrong grandma Hanako?" Lea asked.

"Is it a vision?" Lavina questioned.

"The unborn child within Harumi is a girl." The dark haired woman smiled. "But this girl is extremely special. She has a very pure heart. She is a Princess of Heart. Her heart holds the power into unlocking the Final Keyhole along with the Princess of Light and Darkness' heart." Hanako explained.

"So, our great granddaughter will be very important." Lavina stated.

"But what I fear is that her power will be passed to another." The younger grandmother said.

"Why?" The other woman asked.

"I do not know…" Hanako frowned and they went quiet.
