*A/N:
Hello again! I'M BACK WITH MY STOOORRRYY! :D
HUZZAH!
Ok, I made a bet with my friend Courtney (rookieballplayer1) that whenever she updates, I have to update, and vice versa. SO, because she recently updated her story (WHICH I AM IN :DDD) I had NO CHOICE but to update mine.
BUT, I was planning on it anyways, since I couldn't bear to torture you guys any longer.
AND AGAIN, I AM SO VERY SORRY FOR MAKING YOU WAIT SO LONG! D: I'm such a horrible author(ess?)!
Hopefully, this little chapter will make up for the long wait (probably not though, it might be a bit crappy cuz I am running on about four hours of sleep...)
ANYWAY!

Chapter 8
[Next day- party countdown: one day]
Blossom's POV
CRACK! Sedusa's hand whacked my face. Hard. Princess ran out of her room, eyes full of mirth. She started laughing when she saw me on the floor, my cheek red and my eyes wet.
"I've told you time and time again!" Sedusa thundered. "You. Will. Not. Leave. This. HOUSE!" I shook in fear and scrambled away from my stepmother. Princess stalked over and delivered a kick to my stomach, sharpening the pain of hunger already there. I sucked in a breath and reined in my tears.
Another time, Blossom. I told myself. Not here, not now. I climbed to my feet, slowly, warily, eyeing my stepfamily. Princess snarled at me and Sedusa's eyes are filled with rage.
"Get out of my sight." She hissed. I limped down the marble stairs and took refuge in my small dark room. I collapsed on the bed, hugging my knees to my chest. The tears I had been holding back spilled over at last. They didn't show any signs of stopping, and I knew I had to start cleaning soon, so I started to sing the lullaby my mother used to sing to me when I was little. My voice was raw and husky, but I kept going. The music soothed me.
The River Lullaby (Amy Grant)
Hush now, my baby
Be still love, don't cry
Sleep like you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember
My lullaby
And I'll be with you when you dream
Drift on a river
That flows through my arms
Drift as I'm singing to you
I see you smiling
So peaceful and calm
And holding you, I'm smiling, too
Here in my arms
Safe from all harm
Holding you, I'm smiling, too
Hush now, my baby
Be still, love, don't cry
Sleep like you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember this river lullaby
And I'll be with you when you dream
I'll be with you when you dream
My mother's lullaby died away on my lips, and the tears finally, finally stopped. I sighed, my face now probably wet and clammy. I palmed my cheeks, rubbing away the salty water and changed my clothes. I had been up half the night waiting on Sedusa and her guests, and then I had to clean every single dish they used (which was a LOT) and I had to clean the kitchen as well. I dressed in a pair of ratty jean capris and a loose red t-shirt, knotting the loose fabric at the base of my spine. I pulled my brush through my limp hair and tied it in a bun, not even bothering with the loose strands. I was too tired.
"Blossom! Peasant, we're leaving! Come up here and start cleaning!" Princess yelled. I trudged up the steps and cast a longing glance at my small bed before heading out to start my daily chores.
Brick's POV
I drummed my fingers against the table, tuning out Nick's unnecessary rambling. He was trying to convince me to start a relationship with Princess, but, of course, I refused. Flat out. Butch and Boomer were watching Nick pace with bored eyes. Technically, we didn't even have to listen to him; he was just our advisor while we were touring in Townsville. Suddenly, the sound of clapping broke me from my thoughts. I smirked at my brothers. They grinned and we all stood up.
"Yo Nick, we're leaving to perform our last song now." Butch said bluntly, cutting him off abruptly. Boomer and I snickered. Nick stared at us with wide eyes.
"Were you even listening?!" He demanded. I rolled my eyes.
"Nope." I walked over to my brothers and we stepped out onstage, greeted by the cheering of thousands of people. We went to the middle of the stage, where our instruments were, and got into position. Boomer behind the drums, and Butch and I on guitar. The lights went out, and the theater got quiet. A spotlight shone on us and the music began to play.
Burn It Down (Linkin Park)
Brick: The cycle repeated
As explosions broke in the sky
All that I needed
Was the one thing I couldn't find
And you were there at the turn
Waiting to let me know
All: We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground
Boomer: The colors conflicted
As the flames climbed into the clouds.
I wanted to fix this
But couldn't stop from tearing it down.
Brick/Boomer: And you were there at the turn
Caught in the burning glow
And I was there at the turn
Waiting to let you know
By this time the spotlight had disappeared and now there were red, green, and blue strobe lights going off. The crowd was going crazy, and I couldn't help but feel proud of my brothers' and I becoming a hit band. We never dreamed our love of music would get us this far, yet here we are. I just hope that we can help Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup as well.
All: We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground
Butch took the mic and began to rap, making the crowd go even wilder. He smirked and glanced at Boomer and I. We grinned devilishly in return.
Butch: You told me, "Yes"
You held me high
And I believed when you told that lie
I played soldier, you played king
And struck me down, when I kissed that ring
You lost that right, to hold that crown
I built you up, but you let me down
So when you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn
Brick/Boomer: And you were there at the turn
Waiting to let me know
All: We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground
Brick: When you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn
Boomer: We can't wait
To burn it to the ground
Butch: When you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn
All: We can't wait
To burn it to the ground
Right as we ended, confetti exploded from cannons at either end of the stage. The crowd roared, and Butch rolled his eyes, making Boomer laugh. I smirked and we bowed to the crowd, sauntering off the stage.
"Great job, guys! Spot on performance!" Nick said, smiling.
"You just want our money, asshole." Butch muttered. Brick and Boomer laughed.
"Okay, we're done here, so we're leaving now. Bye!" Boomer said, waving at Nick. Brick and Butch followed their blonde brother out, security guards holding back all the fans. They took a few pictures, signed some autographs, and leaped into the limo and sped off to Bubbles' mansion. Butch whipped out his cell phone and pressed the call button.
No One's POV
"Yo Buttercup." He said after a moment, putting the phone on speaker. "What's up babe?"
"I'm not your babe, idiot." Buttercup scoffed through the phone. Butch chuckled.
"But you want to be." He said with a mischievous grin. Buttercup growled, eliciting laughs from Butch's brothers. Suddenly Bubbles' voice pierced through the speakers.
"Oh shut up, BC, come help me with the tables." She fake-scolded. Buttercup gasped.
"Your tone is downright outrageous!" She said in a snooty voice. The boys muffled their snickers. There was a moment of silence, in which the boys guessed their blonde friend was glaring at the object of Butch's affection.
"Alright alright!" Buttercup finally conceded. "Just stop giving me that look." The sound of footsteps came through the phone.
"So, whaddaya guys want?" Buttercup said lazily.
"We're on our way to Bubbles' house now, just got done with our daytime concert." Boomer explained.
"Cool, cool." Buttercup said. "Hey listen, when you get here, Boomer can you talk with Bubbles? She's freaking out about the party, and it's getting annoying."
"Sure." Boomer agreed.
"Good. Butch, you're on decorating duty with me, and Brick is gonna set up the stage." The ravenette said. Brick nodded, and Butch scowled.
"Why can't I be on cooking duty? Or at least help set up the food?" He whined. Buttercup sighed heavily.
"Brick, smack your brother for me." The redhead complied immediately, making Butch give a cry of indignation and Boomer dissolve into a fit of laughter. Butch glared at Brick, who shrugged.
"We all know you'd eat the food before it was even set out." He said. Buttercup laughed.
"Okay, guys, I gotta go put up more decorations, see you in a bit." She said before hanging up. Butch pocketed his phone and the three brothers spent the rest of the ride bickering playfully over who did the best in the performance.
Okay, yeah, can you say FILLER CHAPTER?
...Sorry! But, like I said, I am EXHAUSTED, so my brain didn't really help me out that much.
BUT NEVER FEAR! I want this story to be AT LEAST ten to fifteen chapters (probably with an epilogue) so the next two chapters with be jam-packed with all the good shit. Don't worry, I got this.
So, uh, yeah, next chapter will be focused on the party preparations and Blossom's cleaning (which will lead to a BIG SHOCKER/PLOT TWIST)
Cue evil smile - }:D
And then the chapter after that will be THE PARTY! THE SUSPENSE WILL FINALLY BE OVER! :D
And then AFTER THAAT will be the result of Blossom's big shocking discovery. XD lol I CAN'T WAIT!
Yeah, so leave reviews, ***AND SONG REQUESTS***, fav, follow, all that.
I REALLY APPRECIATE IT! 3
Arigato~!
XOXO
