You smiled sweetly at the sight of Loki and his mother, the kindness you sensed in his heart was real, he wasn't faking his feelings for you or his mother. He was truly sorry for his actions. You decided it would be best to leave the two be, and turned and made your way over to the doors.
"Stop" said Fregga firmly, "We are in a, well simply put a time bubble. Outside these walls time has stopped, it was the only way I could see both of you without Odin or Thor knowing."
You turned back and walked over to Fregga. "Isn't Thor already here? An announcement was made over the speakers." you pondered to Fregga.
"Yes he is, that's why I came here now so I could talk to you both."
"Mother" Loki said with his voice now back to normal, "Why did you come?"
"To talk to you both about two things in-particular. The first being, I know you both are in a relationship."
"oh erm" you said as your eyes widened in embarrassment.
"Ha don't be afraid! I am not made dear child, you're the best thing to ever happen to my son."
"Wow, what a compliment." You thought to yourself.
"I never would have thought that both of my boys would have fallen in love with two midguardians! But I am glad they did" She said sweetly whilst turning to see Loki blushing.
"Mother please" Loki said whilst he began to cringe.
"What? I am embarrassing you?" She said with sly smile on her face whilst Loki's began to get even more red in embarrassment. You began to giggle and Fregga joined you as Loki began to facepalm.
"Anyway mother..." He said in a frustrated voice whilst leaning back through the hatch, " What is the other reason you're here?"
"To ask this young midguardian if she would be your guard back on Asguard."
"What really?" You said in a tone of disbelief.
"Yes but there are some technicalities to sort out if you do."
"I would love too." You said without hesitation.
"Well then, I would have to alter your DNA slightly so your lifespan would be the same as ours."
"That's fine with me, I have nothing here on earth" You replied truthfully.
"How mother?" Loki questioned.
"My magic surpasses even yours Loki, I did teach you almost everything I know" Fregga stated. Loki looked his mother and smiled, "Thank you for teaching me". Fregga returned the smile.
"Now, I will start the process" She said whilst lifting her hands up, her palms facing towards you and began. A blue like light formed round her hands as she shut her eyes to concentrate. you noticed Loki leaning heavily through the hatch, obviously very keen to know how to do it.
A few minuets passed as Fregga was altering your DNA until she stopped dead.
"You're not fully human, but you are? You're DNA is slightly off..."
You dipped your head to the ground, "I know."
Loki spun to look at you, "Mea Cara? You're not human?"
"I am, but did you ever wonder why I am allowed to guard you by myself, or people try and keep me calm?" You sighed, "Because I have been experimented on." You spoke sadly.
"By who?!" Loki said angrily, "Well then as soon as I am released they will be very unhappy."
"My parents."
Silence filled the room, Loki looked at you in disbelieve as Fregga placed her hand on your should for reassurance.
"I am very powerful Loki, but only in crisis situations, therefore is you escaped I could easily catch you." You said as tears began to slip from your eyes, "I am another failed experiment, my parents tried to replicate Captain America's strength serum, and just like Dr Banner, my parents failed and made a monster."
"If I am not a monster, then neither are you" Said Loki, "Please, don't cry. You're making me sad" Said Loki sadly as his voice began to shake again.
You smiled at Loki, and he smiled back. "Thank you" you said honestly.
"I can still finish altering your DNA, just relax and you will become an Asguardian." Smiled Fregga as she started her magic again.
A few more minuets passed until finally it was done. You felt different, but in a good way, you felt healthier and fitter than you had ever done in your life.
"Welcome. my fellow Asguardian."
"Thank you my Queen" You smiled cheekily at Loki who giggled back.
"By the rate you two are going you're be calling me your mother in law!" Laughed Fregga who embraced you fully. She whispered in your ear, "Look after my son, I trust you. I know you can change him."
"I will" You whispered back and broke the embrace.
"Now I must really go, and remember Thor will be here very shortly. Prepare yourselves, I do not know why he is here, your imprisonment on earth is not over just yet. Farewell both of you"
Fregga turned to face you and said, "I will come back when Loki is going to be sent to Asguard to collect you, then I will tell you the rest of my plan from their."
Fregga turned to face the door and walked over, she looked over her shoulder back at Loki, "I love you very much" and opened the door and she was gone.
