"Borage increases milk in queens. It also brings down fevers. Burdock Root cures to bites and infections. Catmint cures greencough. Chervil can be applied to wounds. The leaves cure infections, the roots help bellyaches. Cobwebs stop bleeding. Coltsfoot helps shortness of breath. Comfrey soothes wounds. Dock soothes scratches. Feverfew cools down body temperatures for cats who have fevers or chills. Goldenrod can be applied to wounds. Honey soothes throats. Horsetail treats infected wounds. Juniper berries soothes bellyaches and helps with troubled breathing. Marigold stops infections. Mouse bile is used to remove ticks. Poppy seeds sooth shock, distress, and ease pain. DO NOT FEED POPPY SEEDS TO KITS. Stinging Nettle dispels poison and brings down swelling. Tansy cures cough. Watermint helps bellyache and yarrow can be applied to wounds. It prevents infections, expels poison and if swallowed, it will make a cat vomit."
"Right. Okay. I remembered about none of that."
"Borage. Do I rememeber what that's for?"
Feather thought about it. "It helps queens with their milk and- and it cure infections?"
"Almost. It doesn't cure infections."
"It- it… Oh! It brings down fevers!"
"Yup! Alright, how about watermint?"
And so it went, until Feather knew them all. Then Jayfeather asked her to help Briarlight with her exercises (I think at the end of Omen of the Stars Briarlight is still in the medicine den…). Jayfeather told her that Briarlight would tell her what to do.
At the end of the day, Feather was exhausted. Once more, she slept in the medicine den. And she fell asleep right away, her invisible friends, as always, pressed up against her and Mosskit in Spottedleaf place.
