AN: The final chapter is here. Now we see the conclusion of the long drawn out (so to speak) story. Well, here we go, ladies and gentlemen.
Chapter Ten: Final Battle: VS Steven Part Two
Well, this was a surprise. Michael thought as Steven turned into a wolf like creature. Steven's white hair was now down his back, his blue eyes were now green, and he looked as though he was about to rage something fierce.
"Okay, maybe running in without a plot was stupid." Michael said to himself. Steven looked as though he was getting bigger by the moment.
"Well now, do you feel your bones crushing under my power?" Steven growled at him.
"No way, Clifford. Seeing as how you are a mangy mutt, I should lop off your balls and shove them down your throat." Michael said.
Steven laughed as Michael made an attempt to attack Steven, which Steven warped out of view. Michael tried to sense where Steven was, and Steven soon warped behind him. Before Michael could make an attempt to defend himself, Steven knocked Michael into the ground below, causing a crater around where he landed.
Michael rolled over, trying to push himself up, but when he put weight on his arms, he felt a sharp, hot pain in his left arm.
"Shit." Michael whispered to himself. His arm was broken, and to make matters really, really worse, it was his left arm, his dominant arm which he did most of his fighting with. Fighting with one arm was going to be imposible, especially with Steven in his current state with powers that were equal to David's
"What's the matter? Arm broke?" Steven mocked.
Michael got back to his feet, pain shooting through his arm, and in what had to be the stupidest thing that he could have ever done, flew right at Steven, in an attempt to attack him, only to be knocked down into the ground once again, this time, heading through a cliff before meeting the ground.
This is getting bad. Michael thought, feeling the blood trickle down his forehead. David better be done soon, because I might not last any longer...
Michael did what he could, but with one working arm, and his health deterorating, he had little if any chance of winning this fight, and Steven knew it. Steven was in front of Michael, and before Michael could react, Steven had him around the throat, and lifted Michael into the air.
"Well then, Michael. Any last words?" Steven said. Soon enough, Steven noticed Michael had a smile on his face.
"Yeah, behind you." Michael said. Steven turned around, and saw a black wolf shaped cloud rushing at him. Steven's head snapped back around to see where Michael went, but with a wink, Michael warped out of view. Steven turned back around, just in time for the cloud of energy to hit him, full force.
"Yeah! Forgot about me, didn't you, bitch!?" David screamed, floating above where Steven was now laying, dying.
David floated down to Steven's side, and Michael soon joined him.
"Sorry about that, mate. Are you alright?" David asked, patting Michael on his injured shoulder.
Michael winced, and smacked David in the arm. "It's the last time I will be bait for you and your plans."
David smirked, and looked at Steven.
"David," Steven said weakly. "I-I'm sorry...for everything..."
"It's okay." David said. David kneeled down to his side. "This was not personal, it was just business."
"Funny. I was just going to say the same thing..." Steven said, laughing weakly. "You better go, I won't last long enough to go up with the building anyway."
David stood up, and looked back to Michael.
"Let's go." David said. Michael flew after David, as Steven laid there with a smile on his face.
"Goodbye, my friend." Steven said as he closed his eyes.
"Okay, we have good news and bad news." David said as he approached William and Yusuke, of the latter was holding Alex still.
"What the hell happened to Michael? What are you talking about?" William asked them, taking note of Michael bleeding from his head, and Michael holding his left arm. William worked some of his Belmont magic to heal Michael, to which Michael gave his thanks to William for doing.
"The place is gonna blow in about five minutes, so if you want some answers, we better move." Michael said casually.
"What!?" Yusuke screamed.
"Yeah, hurry!" David said taking off. Not wanting to question things, the rest of the party quickly followed suit.
Needless to say, there were plenty of questions once Michael, William, Yusuke, and David got back to Waverly Place. Jerry and Theresa swarmed around Yusuke, who was still carrying a somewhat hurt and tattered Alex in his arms. David did not even stick around to see what anyone, if at all, would say to him, nor did he care. David was around long enough to make sure that everything was square enough, and then he took his leave.
Michael sat there for a while, explaining what they did, explaining the mansion that they went through to save Alex, and he told them about Markus and Steven. He knew that there were some unanswered questions about Steven and David. To be honest, Michael really did not care, at all to find out about Steven and David. I mean, why should he? Steven was dead, and David more than likely was not going to tell them anything.
Michael knew that David was still hanging around New York, though. The scary thing was, David might do something stupid, but will he?
ONE MONTH LATER...
Alex was walking home from school, not paying attention to the teen wearing all black clothes following her. By the time she noticed him, she was on the ground and in a moment of defense, she began kicking wildly at the guy.
"Jesus, calm down." A familiar voice said. Alex looked up, into the familiar eyes of David Falcone. Alex sighed and pulled herself to her feet.
"Why did you do that?" Alex asked him, dusting herself off.
"For fun." David said, a shit eating grin on his face. Alex turned to walk away, but David grabbed her by the arm.
"Whoa there sunshine. Is that all you have to say? Not a damn word?" David asked her.
"David, thank you for saving me." Alex said turning and heading home.
"You're welcome." David said, giving her a smile. Alex turned to see David about to take off, but before he did, he said one last thing.
"I still love you, you know."
"What?" That was all Alex could get out before he disappeared.
For a strange reason, Alex knew that she was going to see him again, somewhere...
