Mystogan woke much to his surprise, he figured after taking a blow like that he would be out for a longer period of time or worse, dead. But he did what he felt was necessary to stop that spear from reaching Liliana and he didn't regret it, even if it meant risking his life.

What was that support to mean? Risking his life for her? He had only met her a few weeks ago not to mention half the time she was lost somewhere, had she made that much of an impact on him?

While he was trying to wrap his head around that idea there was a sudden knock on the door. He put his thoughts away for now and replied. "Come in."

The door creaked open revealing the always short Makarov. He came in, shutting the door behind him and walked over to the chair next to the bed.

Makarov looked at him with concern then it softened to relief, He sighed and said. "Only an idiot tries to stop an attack like that with his body."

Mystogan glanced down at his lap not able to return the Masters gaze, he was embarrassed that throwing himself in front of the spear was the only thing he could have done at short notice like that, not to mention he was being called an idiot.

When Mystogan didn't respond Makarov continued. "Im glad to see your alright considering the condition you were in a few hours ago ."

Now that cought Mystogans full attention. A few hours ago? there was no way he could have recovered that fast.

He pulled his gaze up meeting Makarov's. "What do you mean a few hours ago? could you explain how it's even slightly possible that I could have recovered in such a short time."

Makarov sighed, he figured Mystogan would have alot of questions. So he began with. "What do you remember after you were struck by that spear?"

"Umm.. well I remember lying on the ground with Liliana leaning over me..." He paused to recall the event. "Then she screamed and there was a large amount of magic being released..."

"I see then, I guess Ill start with what happened after that..." He paused placing his thumb and pointer finger on his chin. "That large amount of magic you felt being released... well that magic was coming from Liliana."

Mystogan was utterly shocked, he had no idea she was capable of releasing so much magic in the state she was in.

Makarov went on."She released it in order to try and desperately heal your injury... What she did not account for in her panicked state was what kind of magic she was using, all she cared about was healing you."

When He finished saying that it made Mystogan feel like it was his fault or something.

"The magic that girl used didn't do exactly what she meant for it to do, no it did something much greater than reversed time."

As soon as those word left Makarov's mouth Mystogans eyes bulged to the size of saucers in disbelief that such a magic was used.

"Is that even possible!? to use something like that, it could take hundreds of years to perfect such a magic and you expect me to believe the only girl i've ever seen get lost 4 time in ten minutes to have used it?" He asked, his tone clearly a bit exasperated.

"It's the only thing that makes sense." Makarov replied never losing his cool.

"And how does that make sense?" he shot back.

Makarov closed his eyes in slight frustration, he sighed then answered. "Everyone who fought in that battle along with fairy tail itself, not to mention you have No wounds or scratches anywhere it was like it never even happened."

This is impossible how could that even be? Had she cast such a great magic that it restored Fairy tail? So many question were buzzing around in his head.

The sudden knock on the door followed by one of the nurses entering pulled him back to reality if only slightly.

He watched as the nurse made her way across the room and over to Makarov, he could see she had a highly irritated expression on her face.

She bent over and whispered in his ear, what ever she was saying had the master interested because his tense expression turned into laughter.

When she finished she bowed then left leaving him with a laughing Makarov.

"What did she say?" he asked suddenly interested.

When he managed to calm himself down enough he said "S-she said that Liliana.. Liliana was awake and causing t-trouble.. she described her as hungrier that Natsu and as cranky as Erza..." His laughter took over again. "She also said..S-she told her y-you were awake and Liliana left to come and f-find you..."He pause again." About an hour ago! hahaha!"

Mystogan deadpanned, it was certainly like her to get lost but in a building she has been in a hundred times? Her sense of direction must be as good as a blindfolded howler monkey.

He sighed brushing the blankets off of his legs. "I'll go find her... I feels as if its partially my fault anyways."

Between laughs makarov managed "You do that..!"

Mystogan wrapped himself back up and headed out of his room. He figured she would be somewhere inside the building still so he started with the left side and headed towards the right.

After about 20 minutes of searching and asking people if they had seen a hopelessly lost girl one of the nurses lead him to her. He found her staring at a painting on the wall.

He walked up behind her."What are you staring at?" he asked.

Apparently she must not of noticed him there because as soon as he said that she leapt forward with get force and bashed her face into the wall.

"Owie owie owie!" she cried rubbing the red spot on her forehead.

He watched her a moment before saying. "Are you always this surprised by people?"

She had her back to him still. "Not always, just when im concentrating hard."

"And I take you wont get lost if you're concentrating hard enough right.?"he said semi- mockingly.

She paused for a moment still completely unaware of who was behind her. She thought to herself: who was the only person who made fun of her for her lack in sense of direction? Realization hit her hard.

He watched her turn around in an oh-so dramatic kinda way, when they made eye contact her eyes widened and became teary.

" Are you al-" he began but was cut off by her arms wrapping tightly around his waist, the impact of her sudden hug made him stumble back a few steps.

Her face was buried deep into his chest and she just stayed there like that, he could feel her sobbing slightly. He felt he needed to do something in order to comfort her so he placed his hand, awkwardly, on top of her head stroking her hair softly.

They stayed like that for a minute till she pulled back, a very odd expression on her face now.

She looked him over pulling on his arms and clothes then began to violently pat his chest.

"What are you doing?" He asked hoping for a response that would answered what she was looking for.

But then again the way she acted made him chuckle softly, which he soon regretted. She stopped instantly and gawked at him like he sprouted two head a tail and some dragon wings.

"What?" he asked confused by her sudden change of emotion.

"You're fine...I-I don't see a single thing wrong with you." She said bewildered. Had she not known It was all her doing?

"Is that bad?" He questioned not sure why there needed to be something wrong.

She stood up straight arms re-attaching around his waist. "Its not bad... a little odd.. but certainly not bad."

He sighed, having no idea where this conversation was heading, so he changed the subject.

"What about you? are you okay?" he asked looking down on her.

"Yeah.. Im fine.. a little tired and confused but fine." she said burying her head back into his chest.

He sighed and decided to put up with the hugging until she felt better.

After about 20 more minutes she finally let go of his chest. When she did she backed up until she felt her back touch the wall of the opposite side of the hall.

Her bangs shadowed her eyes as she stayed staring at the floor. What changed?

She was happy really honestly happy, relieved even that he was perfectly fine, but she couldn't help think that he had almost died risking his life to save her.

The sudden change in emotion made her feel nauseous and the thought of losing him made her sway.

When she tried to steady herself she stumbled, Mystogan caught her by the fore arm trying to steady her.

"What's wrong?" He asked his grip tightening around her arm

"Its just-"she stopped short wondering if she should tell him or if it would make her sound like ..I don't know a child.

She looked up into his eyes, she could see they were full of worry and that made her melt.

She looked down, away from him and whispered. "I thought I was going to lose you."

Just barely able to hear her he caught what she said. He wasn't all that sure how to respond to that.

So he thought about why he risked his life in the first place. To save her. He thought about why he allowed her to travel with him. It made her smile. He thought about what all her key points like her laugh and her smile and her comedic sense of direction.

He came to the realization he didn't want to lose her either, that he wanted to have her stay by his side because she brightened up his days.

He looked at her standing there and said "You won't lose me."
