Thanksgiving

"Why are we running?" Sirius asked as Alpha pulled him enthusiastically to the Great Hall. To be honest, he didn't care why they were running, Alpha hadn't been this honestly happy in weeks.

"Because of this!" Alpha said, looking around the turkey themed hall.

"What?" Sirius asked, confused.

"Thanksgiving," Remus said with a grin, "Alpha told me about it, it's something about worshiping food."

"It is not," Alpha said, "Though the food is important, it's about being thankful for what you have. And on today we happen to have a lot of turkey."

"Did you con the house elves into making a thanksgiving lunch?" James laughed, Lily rolled her eyes.

"No," Said Alpha,"I'm Head Girl, I can't do that, I actually asked McGonagall. She thought it was a great idea, they even canceled afternoon classes today."

"Why didn't you tell us?" Malcolm said, walking up with Morgan and Alexis. "Is this why you said we had to eat with you today?"

"What?" Alpha asked defensively to the mostly amused but slightly annoyed group. "Thanksgiving you eat with your family!"

Malcolm rolled his eyes, "Then why is she here?" He gestured at Alexis with his shoulder, and Alpha glared. Alexis replied with a hurt look, one that vanished when she got distracted by Morgan wrapping his arms around her from behind as he talked quietly into her ear. She grinned at what he said, and Malcolm just ignored them to shove past and sit down, mad.

"If Morgan wants to invite Alexis, he can," Alpha said as they sat down at the Gryffindor table. "They're dating, and it's not like any of us are bound by blood anyway. Besides, Alexis is a friend, and a good one."

"Hey," Juliana said, running up. "Sorry I'm late, I had to talk to Slughorn about my potions essay. It's due tomorrow but I had a question about which classification the potion is-"

"It's not a problem," Alpha said with a grin, interrupting Juliana's train of thought. "Welcome to Thanksgiving."

"Oh, the one where you worship turkeys right?" Juliana asked curiously, not frustrated by being interrupted. She knew she talked a lot, and she had no problem stopping if it was for Alpha. She knew Alpha respected her.

"NO!" Alpha replied, frustrated as the remainder of people took their seats.

The group enjoyed a laugh at Alphas expense as they went to start serving themselves from the overflowing banquet.

"No no no," Alpha said, "You have to say something you're thankful for before you can eat."

Sirius rolled his eyes, starting the chain simply because he really wanted to eat.

"I am thankful for the turkeys that have died for this very important holiday." He said with a smirk, Alpha rolled her eyes but refused to have her mood affected. He dug in then, receiving a glare from Alpha.

"We will all eat at once. Okay, Malcolm, you're next," Alpha said.

Sirius groaned for show, but had no intention of waiting. He sneakily snuck food into his mouth when he thought Alpha wasn't looking. In reality, she just didn't think the energy to get him to stop would be worth it.

"Well," Malcolm said, "What I'm most thankful for is the pack of dung-bombs that Sirius gave us week before last." Sirius glared, Malcolm smirked, and Alexis rolled her eyes. What made Malcolm think that annoying his supplier was a good idea? Morgan really didn't care, Sirius would keep them supplied if only to keep pranks going on once he graduated.

Alpha hit Sirius lightly on the arm then, "You're the reason that all of the girls bathrooms were all too stinky to use? Why would you let them do that? Get them to attack the potions room, Slughorn is such a pig."

"Slughorn isn't that bad," Lily said defensively. Alpha didn't bother to reply, the Potions Master had become unbearable lately with his Miss. this, and Miss. that.

"I didn't know that's what they'd use them for!" Sirius protested, laughing. It was obvious that he approved of the attack, and he could have guessed it. Malcolm was really hating on girls ever since his brother started dating Alexis.

"And I suppose you thought they'd be used for good purposes?" Alexis asked with disbelief. "Well I'm thankful that they didn't get to the Hufflepuff girls washrooms."

"I'm thankful for my wand," Morgan said, then looking at Lily who sat next to him.

"My turn," She said, "I'm thankful for my family."

James kissed Lily's head before stating what he was thankful for, "I'm thankful for Lily here."

Malcolm rolled his eyes, but stopped short when Alpha glared at him. He'd been particularly insufrible since she'd made him and Morgan receive the talk from Remus, who had insisted that it was better to receive it from a male. However, she wasn't going to let his mood ruin Thanksgiving. No matter how corny James and Lily were. She found their relationship cute.

"Well I'm thankful for the pack," Juliana said, "What about you Remus?"

Remus shrugged, "Same as Juliana."

"See, and now my turn," Alpha said. "Then we can eat." Sirius was already eating, and Alpha chose to ignore him. "I am thankful for all of my new friends here in Britain."

Juliana smirked then, "So we can eat now. Aren't you so happy that we can eat now Sirius?"

Sirius nodded, "I've just waited so long."

"Sirius, you have food in your mouth," James pointed out.

"James, so do you," Lily said.

"She did just say we could eat," James said.

"You guys are talking so much, I'm surprised you have time to eat," Alpha said with a laugh.

"Why is there stuffing and mash?" Alexis asked, pouring gravy on her food before eating.

"Because it's Thanksgiving!" Alpha said with a grin."Which means starch."

"Praise the lord of Thanksgiving," Sirius said, grabbing yet another roll.

Alpha smiled, Remus laughed, Malcolm ate, Lily and James' tattoo's glowed a happily calm green.

In America, Thanksgiving is a big deal for all. Wizards are no exception, and the feast at Alma Aleron is well attended by all students and their families, who stay in the guest houses. One could count on two hands the number of students who did not attend, and all of them would be Middle Schoolers (1st, 2nd, or 3rd years). It's a time of peace and good food. That is probably why the attack on the school during their feast that killed everyone there (all but 3 students who were out of the cafeteria at the time) made such an impact on American Wizarding culture for years to come. It wasn't just that almost an entire generation of magical blood had died, diminishing the American Wizarding community to miniscule numbers for the years to come, but the cultural changes. As muggles remember 9/11, wizards remember Thanksgiving, 1977. Of course, where muggles blame terrorists, wizards blamed Britain.

In reality, the three survivors have Mark Omega to thank (though it would be slightly odd for Mark to thank himself in this situation, as he did not exactly do it on purpose and therefore didn't even manage to save his family). Mark was planning a prank that day, as many Zombies do. He had to go to change the statute in the courtyard during the meal, when everyone would be busy. Well, he didn't have to, but it'd be funny, so yeah, he kind of did. Besides, what could it hurt to spread some 'Turkey Day' (get it?) cheer? Well, of course Zach Gerraldo would fuck it up. (What? He's 14, he's old enough to curse, not like it changes anything anyway.) You see, Zach and Mark were basically enemies, they did not get along in the slightest. So, when Zach got it in his head that Mark was going to do something against the school rules, he snuck out to stop it. Then, when Jacob Smith looked up to see Zach following after Mark, well he knew there'd be issues there. You see, Jacob had kept tabs on Mark ever since his older brother, and Jacob's best friend, had died. Just like he'd promised. Thanks to this, Jacob knew that Zach and Mark sneaking off was a bad sign. He'd excused himself, informed his mother that, really, he was fine. Ignored his ex-girlfriends snarky comment, and followed them out. He found Zach frozen in place next to the turkey only seconds before the dining hall was obliterated. It left a large pile of ash, and then, like that, everyone he knew was dead.

"Why do you think they're coming here?" James asked as he and Alpha headed back to the Head's commons to go over the short list of American transfer students. "I mean, their school is still up, other than the dining area."

"James, everyone died, everyone," Alpha said, shoving her hair into a sloppy bun as they walked. "All of the students and teachers. That means there is no-one around to teach. The real question is why so soon, they'd have funerals to attend, the three survivors and probably the other four students who weren't there."

"Funerals are just a large gathering of weak people," James pointed out. "If the leaders are all dead like you say, then it'd just be another opening to be attacked. I've got to say, I'm impressed the American's knew that so quickly."

Alpha sighed, saddened, "They did, the entire government comes to this thing- the meal, it was a big deal. Merlin's pants I would not want to be in America now."

As they walked into the room James questioned, "So the entire American government was taken out in one blow?"

Alpha glared, "So seven survivors."

James caught the hint. "Let's see what we'll do for them."

Alpha looked at the list then, gasping slightly.

"You know anyone?" James asked, worried for his friend.

"Yeah," Alpha said, "Uh, Mark is John's little brother, and Jacob was a friend, well he dated a friend and was best friends with John, we weren't all that close."

James nodded, watching as the Alpha started wrapping her head around what happened. He had no real idea what he would do with Lily not alive, and based on that he had determined that every reminder of John must bring unimaginable emotions to Alpha. She covered well though, he made a mental note on how good she had done. Moving on, making her life not over.

"So how will we do this?" James asked, pulling the Marauders Map and looking for an area where they put all of the refuges.

Alpha looked over the map, "We'll change the rooms, just like we did in the Chamber."

James nodded, "That's as good a plan as any. Maybe have them bunk with the Hufflepuffs?"

"Not fair, besides, the wolves will eat up the 'Puffs and spit them out with their confidence left to rot alone." Alpha said.

James gave Alpha an odd look, "You don't like Werewolves?"He smiled, thinking about the irony.

"John was a wolf," Alpha said. "I just know their personality type. What about astronomy tower?"

James thought, the only part of the tower that was ever really used was the top floor. "We could do that, we'd need to do spells to dim the sounds though- Sirius is in the midnight class so you can only imagine how loud it is."

Alpha smiled, happy at the thought of Sirius. "I think I know a spell we can use for that."

James shrugged, not real worried about it. The towers had brick walls, so that was a more natural sound killer there. "You sure we really need a silencio?"

"Oh, no," Alpha said, "It's a spell I learned that puts almost a buzzing wall around- in retrospect that would just buzz in their ears the entire time..."

"Well the bricks should stop a lot of the noise," James said, still unconcerned.

Alpha nodded, "So are far as schedules, the classes are a little different back home..."

Alpha and James woke up bright an early the next day, a particularly difficult feat being as the full moon was the night before. James, Lily, and Sirius snuck out with Remus to go to the forbidden forest, as per old traditions. Alpha didn't join them, respecting their group activity. Sirius had teried, even last night, to convince her that she really was welcome. Much like Juliana, Alpha was happy to not go with them. Besides, she had to keep a good example with Malcolm and Morgan looking for any reason to get in trouble.

After setting up the new dorms for the American students, the Heads spoke to Albus Dumbledore. He informed them, in his own slightly cracked way, that not only were the plans they had set up very good but that they were the welcoming committee for the new students. When asked, by Alpha, if it was normal for Heads to have such important responsibilities, the Headmaster only smiled.

So, that day, Saturday, November 26, 1977, at 7 in the morning, Alpha Omega and James Potter waited in a spare classroom for the small bunch of (quite possibly terrified) American students. James was nervously twirling his wand around in his hand, wishing now that the Marauders had welcomed them as a group. As Alpha had so kindly pointed out, emphasis on kindly because James was upset at the fact that he wasn't in bed with his girlfriend and Alpha was there, this wasn't a Marauders thing- this was a Head duty.

Alpha, for her part, was twirling her hair, shoving it back, then pulling it forward to twirl it again in her fingers. Her nerves were no secret. Seeing Mark and Jacob wasn't something she looked forward to, well, it was. She was just so nervous. She hadn't seen anyone after John had been killed, not Jacob, not Mark, nor anyone of her other friends that had died in the Thanksgiving attack. Now she was welcoming them to her safe haven. She chuckled (internally) with a sarcastic cause, refugees were coming to Britain to hide from Tom. Where else could they go though? Other countries didn't want to attract Lord Voldemorts attention, and the schools that already had it didn't have muggle borns, or they were all one gender, or they didn't speak english, or one of a million other reasons.

Of course, they hadn't needed a magical school to live. At Alma Aleron students learned both curriculums, muggle and magical. They could have very successfully went to muggle schools. Most of the students, middle schoolers, that weren't at the Thanksgiving Feast did just that. The older students, the survivors, had been in the magical world for too long. They simply couldn't let go. Which was probably a good thing, as their names were publicly posted as the only survivors, and none of them could hope to be ignored by Lord Voldemort.

Sunk in thoughts of the terror that these students, her friends and younger brother, had chosen to stay in the magical world Alpha was not paying attention when the refugees came in.

"Alpha?!" A tall, tall refugee spoke. "Alpha, oh goodness, Alpha you're alive!"

Pulled out of her thoughts, Alpha looked up to a 'what are you doing? Welcome them!' look from James (that to be honest was also slightly panicked) and a tall brown haired American wearing jeans and a grey sweatshirt.

"Jacob!" Alpha said, walking up to him and hugging him. "Oh it's so good to see you. You got tall!"

Jacob smiled and returned the hug, "I told you that was going to happen. Still pink I see."

"Still a smart-" She stopped, remembering the middle schoolers walking in then. "How are you?"

"Good," He said, his smile fell slightly. "How about you? John dying must have been terrible."

"Well I'm sure it was terrible for him," A short boy said. He was about fourteen, but he looked fifteen. He had pitch brown hair that looked almost black that he cut short. His hair poofed out, not frizzy but healthy. He had grey eyes that looked almost blue, but didn't . He wore glasses, and he was glaring. Alpha almost fell to the floor, and in fact had to hold the desk next to her as her heart rate increased with panic. He looked exactly like John the last time she had seen him, the five second before he had looked over at her in love he had that exact look- directed at Tom. He looked like her dead husband. "As for Alpha- well she lived didn't she? Can't be too fucking bad."

"Stop cursing," Jacob said to him. "Mark, we've been over this."

"Whatcha gonna do?" Mark said, "Kill my slipper?"

Alpha was not expecting this, but James expected it even less.

"Now you listen to me you little twat," James said, walking toward Mark. "Hogwarts doesn't curse, and Alpha is your Head Girl so you will show her respect as such."

"Or what?" Mark questioned again.

"Or I'll curse that smirk-"

"JAMES!" Alpha said, having come out of her shock enough to speak. "You're Head Boy! I mean, I would expect this out of Sirius but you're supposed to be mature."

"So when SIrius does it it's sexy or something but when I do it's 'bad form' and 'immature'," James joked, hoping to bring Alpha into a good mood.

"Oh shocker," Mark said, "Alpha has a new fuck buddy."

Alpha's face looked like she had been slapped, and Jacob simply looked like he hoped he could have prevented the situation. "Sit down Mark, Jacob, everyone else, if we could all sit down."

Mark rolled his eyes and sat down in the front seat with Jacob.

"Excuse Mark," a blonde boy said, wearing grey slacks and a burgundy sweater. "He doesn't represent all Americans, he's just, well I'm not really sure what twat means but I am sure it describes him."

"Oh shut up ass-hat," Mark said, glaring at the blonde. "Nobody cares."

So everyone is getting along? Lily asked James through their bond.

James smirked, oh yeah, really.

"Okay," James said. "My name is James Potter, and this is Alpha Omega-"

"-Riddle," Mark corrected. "Omega is my last name."

"Like you have dibbs," the blonde spoke again.

"Her name is Alpha Omega," James said, "And we are the Head Boy and Girl at Hogwarts. Consider us your welcome committee and your helpers. If you need anything, come to us. The Head dorms are right by the Great Hall."

"We will pass them on the way to your dorms," Alpha said, "We can point them out."

James nodded and continued to speak, all the while worrying for Alpha.

"Let me go," Sirius said to a very small redhead.

"No," Lily said, "I never should have told you that Prongs was worrying about her- she's not in any danger."

"That doesn't mean that the whatever that's making her uncomfortable isn't," He replied angrily. Ever since Travis had attacked Alpha, he'd been ultra protective of her.

"Look, Sirius, you going down there will do nothing but make her look like she needs her boyfriend around to save her from- well as far as you know it could be a slightly awkward look!" Lily exclaimed, "We just need to continue to wait here until they're done, okay?"

Sirius glared, but his eyes strayed to the seats in the living area of the Heads dorms. "Fine," He said, "but you tell me the second you know that she is actually hurt."

Lily nodded, but she knew she wouldn't.

"That was really good," Jacob said as he accompanied James back to the Heads dorm.

James smiled, "Thanks, we just found out yesterday- but we got out of classes to plan."

Jacob smiled lightly, "Glad that we could be of help."

"I didn't mean that I'm happy that you were attacked," James said, but Jacob waved him off.

"One of the perks of everyone you know dying, you get to freak out british guys," Jacob said.

James laughed, "So you're a werewolf? Not the lycanthropy, the house or something?"

Jacob nodded, "That I am, I was actually scouted by your Auror department."

"And you knew Alpha, with John?" James asked then, stopping his walking.

Jacob nodded, his perfect posture straightening. "What are you getting at?"

"She's dating Sirius now," James said. "Don't bring up John."

"I know you have a bond with someone, I recognise the tattoos," Jacob said. "However, you've never known someone in a bond. They aren't themselves anymore. I don't know Alpha alone, I know Alpha and John. I'm not avoiding a conversation because a British boy can't take the truth."

James opened his mouth, closed it, and opened it again. "Look, mate, I don't know you, but I'm warning you- a lot has happened since Alpha came here. Tread lightly."

"Why are you so worried about Sirius," Jacob questioned. "Should I be worried for Alpha?"

"No," James sighed, "Look, bloke, just, nevermind." James continued walking, not sure what he had been trying to get at before. Handsome man from Alpha's past comes with a reminded of John in form of a bratty fourth year, he couldn't see this as a good omen. "So you knew her with John, what was she like?"

"Happy," Jacob said, "Happier than I've seen her today."

James didn't say anything the rest of the way, he believed Jacob more than he would like to admit.

"Mark?" Alpha said, "Mark can we talk?"

"No," Mark said, unpacking his things while the others went to dinner and Jacob headed to the Heads commons with James. Alpha wanted some alone time with Mark, and really wanted to catch up with Jacob.

Alpha sighed lightly and closed her eyes before opening them again. She ran her hand through her hair, "You look just like John did you know?"

"I know," Mark said. "As you would know to expect, the fact was beaten into me."

"Well that won't happen here," Alpha said. "And you will be safe at Hogwarts until you graduate."

"I'm not stupid," Mark said, "I read the fucking agreement before I agreed to come here- I know the laws are gonna lock me up real tight in this institute of magical 'education'."

"Mark it's not that bad of a place," Alpha stepped toward him, sitting on his bed. He only glared.

"Alpha Riddle," Mark said, "you can't steal his name like you did his life."

"I didn't-"

"It was your dad, you knew your dad was bad news." Mark said, "but unlike Mark did for you, you couldn't keep the shit-head away from him."

"MAr-"

"Go, now," Mark said. "It's bad enough you're my boss, but I won't have a murderer comfort me for an entire school who she got killed."

Alpha didn't know what to say so she just walked out. Try as she might, when she got to the Head's commons, she couldn't stop the silent tears from streaming down her face.

"Alpha," Sirius said, getting up from his seat staring at Jacob to hug her.

"Alph," Jacob said, being closer and getting to her first. "I'm sorry, shh," He said, rubbing her back. "I should have warned you."

"Warned her about what?" Sirius asked, Lily and James watching the situation with concern.

"Nothing," Alpha said, wiping the tears from her face. Performing a wandless spell, she cleared her face. She smiled, "See, really, it's nothing."

She stepped away from Jacob, "It really is great to see you, if under terrible circumstances."

Jacob nodded, "It's good to see you as well. I have to admit, it is really weird to see you without the tattoos."

Alpha nodded, "It took some getting used to, the pink hair stayed the same though, so there was some stability."

"Oh and we all know about how much you like things to be the same," Jacob said sarcastically. As they talked, they migrated back to the living area where James and Lily sat on one end of the couch together with Jacob on the other end, and Alpha with Sirius sat on the loveseat closest to Jacob. Though she sat with him without a second thought, Sirius knew that Alpha's - sorry Alph's - attention was fully on the tall brown haired American with the gorgeous blue eyes. Needless to say he was not happy, and his 's-eyes were more grey and stormy than usual. Regardless, his arm slipped around Alpha easily as she sat on his lap.

"So we were just talking about how you were when you first got here," Jacob said. "I, personally, am not at all surprised."

"About what?" Alpha asked with a smile, "I didn't do anything that insane."

"The first thing you said to us was 'Kinky' and then you winked," Lily said.

"Lily, darling, when I first saw you guys, Lily and James were snogging and Sirius was on top of Wolfy - legs parted and panting mind you," Alpha said. "What the hell else should I have said?"

"Next thing you did was comment on our accents saying that if you had it you'd never stop talking," James said.

Jacob laughed, "Kinky? Really Alph? What you're describing is not even close to the positions I used to find you with J- guys at school back in America. " He wasn't sure why he was not bringing up John. Maybe it was the flinch when he approached her, and again when he touched her. Maybe it was the loss of the laughing locked in her eyes, maybe it was the fact that she was in Sirius' lap. In the end, he knew it was because the look she had in her eyes the second he brought up John was the exact look she had had on her face upon meeting Mark.

Alpha didn't act phased, though she flinched at the memory.

"You get caught a lot doing things," James said. "Ask Remus about some horror stories, he lived with the two of them over the summer."

"Where is he?" Jacob asked, "I keep hearing about him, but he isn't here."

"As a werewolf, he has to stay in the were dorms past curfew," Alpha said.

Jacob caught on quickly, they don't know that she's a werewolf.

"Alpha is an exception because she is head girl," James said. "When she wrote the law she didn't notice the loophole."

"I still go down for the moons," Alpha said.

"Obviously," Sirius said. "Not like you could wolf out up here."

"Why's that?" Jacob asked, slightly agitated. "Do you think she should be locked up for the moons? Do you know how bad that is for her?"

"Jacob, calm down," Alpha said. "It's fine."

He only replied with a curt nod.

"We don't care about the werewolf-ness," Sirius said defensively. "We'd been friends with Moony for years before Alpha was shipped off here."

"So what are your questions?" Lily asked, trying to change the topic of conversation as she noticed the tension. "You have to have about a million."

"Alph and James were really 'rather informative'," Jacob said, smiling as he copied Alpha's words from before. "You know you never sounded British at Alma."

"I'd never been to Britain before," Alpha pointed out. "You'll adopt it too, give it time."

"How is it here?" Jacob asked, "With everyone knowing about your dad, it's bound to be difficult to lead people. What with the attack he just had on Alma."

"Well, people don't actually know about my dad," Alpha said.

"It's going to stay that way," Sirius said. "With the war as bad as it is- chances are she'd be shipped to Azkaban just for knowing him."

"What do they think your dad is?"Jacob asked, confused. "As bad as it is?" He continued to ask, "How bad is it?"

The four Marauders looked at each other, and the news seemed to fall on Alpha to give.

"He's a really powerful politician, mostly he's rich," Alpha said. "Everyone knows him, but they don't know that he's Lord Voldemort."

"Better known as You-Know-Who," Lily pointed out. "So unless you want to be in the war, stick with that."

"Yeah," James said, "If you want to be a pussy, say that."

"James!" Lily said, looking at her boyfriend with a lack of approval.

"What?" James asked, "It's not like he isn't involved in the war."

"What war?" Jacob asked, less and less sure of what he was doing.

"Our war," Alpha said. "Tom's called war. He's killing and enslaving and attacking, there were two attacks on the school just last year."

"Not that the ministry is much help," Sirius said bitterly. "Everytime they try and help Moldyshorts shows up and makes it restricting."

"Like the law that keeps Mark here over the summer," Alpha said. "Even if he had parents, since his mom's a squib and his dads a muggle, they'd force him to stay over the summer. They also won't let him patrol without parental consent, which -since his parents aren't magical- he couldn't get."

"Don't you have prefects?" Jacob said, "Are you telling me they are all pureblood or 18?"

"Seventeen," Alpha said.

"Well I'm muggleborn," Lily said. "But I am not allowed to patrol."

"She still does, of course," Alpha said. "It's not like we are going to drop an awesome witch because of her parents."

"So how do you start patrolling?" Jacob said. "Who is in charge?"

"We are," Alpha said, pointing to herself and James. "But there hasn't been an attack this year, and the Ministry seems to have forgotten we're in war so unless you're a prefect you can't."

"Well that is crappy," Jacob said. "What about equal representation? No-one from America is a prefect, except Alph here."

"We aren't in America," Alpha said.

"Something tells me that's not so good for our health," Jacob noted.

"You're catching on," Sirius said.

"Mind if I sit here?" Mark asked Malcolm the next morning, who was sitting across from Alexis and Morgan just glaring as he ate his bacon.

"Sure," Malcolm said, moving his bag to his feet.

"Grossed out?" Mark asked, looking at the couple kiss lightly.

"You have no idea," Malcolm said. "One day he's just my brother, next day this birds up and changed him."

"Bird?" Mark asked, confused.

"You're one of the American's aren't you?" Malcolm said, his attention moving to Mark as they ate. "I should have recognised the accent, but Alpha only get's like that when she's really pissed or scared."

Mark nodded, handing Malcolm his schedule, "Do you know where any of this is? I asked for a map but..."

"Seems like you have my schedule," Malcolm said. "So I can just walk with you. Oh, wait, you're new, so I'm legally required to let you know that I have the potential to eat you."

"Ohh, I'm terrified," Mark said with mock terror. "One of my roommates back in the states was a wolf, and I knew Alpha when I was a kid."

"So it's true, America is the mecca of werewolves," Malcolm noted. "You knew Alpha when you were a kid? What was she like?"

Mark shrugged, "She was with my brother, not like I knew her very well."

Malcolm shrugged in return, "That's fair. Oh, look at that tosser, what is he wearing?"

Mark laughed, "That's Zach, biggest ass you'll ever meet. He's wearing his school uniform from America, they gave us Hogwarts wear though so really he's just being an idiot."

"Well, he's walking to the Slytherin table," Malcolm said. "So let's just hope he's pure blooded or hardheaded."

"Oh he's double prepared, he's both," Mark said. He looked back at Alexis and Morgan. "Why don't you just charm their lips together?"

"That's a brilliant idea!" Malcolm said, pulling out his wand and doing just that right before the two boys snickered and ran off.

After getting to their class, divination, the two laughed.

"I'm Mark," Mark said, sitting down at a little table with Malcolm.

"I'm Malcolm, and the tosser before was Morgan and he was snogging Alexis," Malcolm said.

Authors Note: Oh god it's been forever, I am so sorry. I spent a lot of time planning what I would write, and little time writing. Thankfully, this chapter is done and the next one will come out soon. Review please! Thanks!
