"Okay. We're locked in a tower without our wands." I said, pacing around the room. "This sounds like a fairytale. And I really don't like those kinds of fairy tales."

"Fred is waiting for me." Fia growled, kicking her trunk.

"Let's think." Marie suggested ever to helpfully. I looked and the clock and my heart sank. 6:00. The dance had started. I imagined Draco downstairs looking for me, and paled. I looked at the window desperately, trying to figure something out. Fia's face suddenly brightened and she stood up from her bed.

"Dobby!" She yelled, tapping her foot impatiently. There was a sudden crack in the air, making Marie and I jump. A small house elf just appeared out of nowhere.

"Ms. Fia Black!" The house elf, Dobby said. "What can I do for you, Miss?"

"Just call me, Fia. Honestly, Dobby. We have this conversation all the time!" Fia laughed, patting Dobby on his bat-like ears.

"Yes M-Fia." Dobby quickly corrected himself. He looked around at us curiously. "You look very nice tonight."

"Thank you." I said, smiling gently.

"Dobby. Could you do us a favor?" Fia asked, kneeling down by Dobby.

"Of course!" Dobby said, beaming.

"Could you apparate me down to the common room? I need to get our wands." She said, holding out her hand. Dobby nodded and grabbed Fia's hand before disappearing into thin air. After a few minutes, there was a click, and the door was unlocked. I grinned at Fia, who stood with all of our wands clutched in her hand. "Now let's go enjoy the party. And then do some murdering."

"Agreed." Marie laughed, looping her arm around mine. Fia did the same on my other side and we skipped down the stairways and corridors. We stood at the top of the stairwell and fixed our hair and put on our masks. We all took a deep breath before we started to walk down the grand stairway. A few eyes turned to us as we made our grand entrance. Draco, Fred and some other boy waited for us at the bottom looking at us with grins plastered on their faces. Of course, Fred looked like he was having a hard time not punching Draco in the face, they seemed like they enjoyed watching us make our way over to them.

"Why are you so late?" Draco asked as he put his arm around my waist. I glared at the hand, which he quickly retracted.

"Hush child." I snapped as we walked to the dance floor and started to dance. He put his hand back on my waist and the other was entwined with mine so we could dance.

"So what's with all of the makeup?" Malfoy questioned, spinning me in a circle. I blushed under the layers of powder and foundation.

"Does it look that bad?" I asked in a small voice.

"No! You look really good! Beautiful!" Malfoy corrected himself quickly. He paused before smirking. "But you look beautiful without it too."

"Thanks." I said with an even deeper blush. We danced for a while longer before walking over to a table. Dumbledore stood at his seat at the head of the teacher's table, and looked at the expectant students waiting for dinner.

"Siren." Was all that he said before sitting down. I was relieved that we missed the welcoming speech and not the dinner because I. Am. Starving. I eagerly started eating my plate of spaghetti, wanting to moan at the delicious food that was in my mouth.

"Somebody is hungry." Draco observed wisely. I scowled at him before turning back to my dinner.

"Some people just don't have manners." Destiny sniffed from a few seats beside us while picking at her small salad. I gritted my teeth together before letting it go. "No wonder she's fat."

"Ignore it." I whispered to myself, clenching my knife in my hand.

"She isn't fat. You are. I've seen you trying to lose weight by eating those salads." Marie said calmly, eating her steak in the same manner. "I remember back in our sixth year, you tried to curse off your fat, correct?"

"Shut up you little freak. No wonder your dad left you, who would love you?" She spat vindictively. Marie fell silent, looking away with tear in her eyes. I quietly let the knife drop onto the table and snatched my wand from my ankle. I discreetly put my hand in my lap, pointing it at Destiny. With a small flourish, I used a severing charm to cut the back straps on her dress. It fell forward, revealing a thin white slip underneath. She stopped flirting with the guy next to her for a moment to look down, and screamed. She ran from the Great Hall with all eyes on her and a bright blush on her cheeks.

"Thanks, Ever." Maria smiled at me, wiping the tears in her eyes away.

"It's my job." I whispered, leaning back in my chair.

"That wasn't very nice." Draco breathed in my ear.

"And?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"I never said it was bad that you're not nice." Draco said, laughing lightly.

"I am a very nice person." I argued quietly.

"Sweet as a butterfly." Draco snorted, rolling his eyes. "No wonder you're a Gryffindor."

"Oh hush." I chuckled with a grin.

"Care to dance?" He asked, standing up and offering me a hand. Other people were on the dance floor, dancing to the beat of the 'Weird Sisters'.

"Yes, kind sir." I laughed, standing up and taking his hand. He spun me out onto the marble floor causing me to laugh again.

"Are you enjoying Hogwarts?" Draco asked me as we danced. I bobbed my head in a nod.

"It's different than the Chicago Institute." I admitted absentmindedly. "In a good way. It's bigger, grander, but it's less modern."

"No muggle things." He said with a smirk.

"No IPod." I sighed with a sad smile. He got a thoughtful look on his face.

"I need to show you something one day." He decided, spinning me in a circle. His sleeve came down a bit, giving me a view of a black tattoo on his pale skin. It looked like a snake coming out of a skull.

"What's that?" I questioned curiously.

"Nothing." He answered hastily.

"Come on. We're betrothed. You can tell me stuff." I scoffed jokingly.

"It's nothing." He said in a hard tone. I dropped my eyes to the ground in embarrassment.

"Sorry." I muttered, looking away. He sighed.

"It's fine, Faye. It's really nothing. Are you excited for our date tomorrow?" Draco asked me.

"Yeah." I answered, cheering up slightly. I thought of the girl who claimed to be my sister. "Can't wait."
