Three weeks later, Cora was well enough to go home. She looked at Phil as he got her stuff together. "You guys aren't planning any party are you?" She asked him.
"Why would you ask that?"
"Because I know my sister and I'm sure she wanted to throw a welcome home party."
"She's been busy dealing with Gage I'm sure."
"So, there is no party?" She asked him. "And you aren't just covering for her. You swear there is no party."
He looked at her. "Would you be mad if I said yes?"
She looked at him. "No, because I expected it."
"There is a party but you have to act surprised because I promised her I wouldn't tell you."
"I will act surprised. I always do." She laughed.
"You always do?" He asked.
"Sienna is not the best at keeping secrets. So I always knew when she would plan a party."
Phil smiled. "Alright. Let's get you home." She nodded as they drove away and toward the house. She smiled when they pulled up. She hoped it was a small party and not very big. "I told her nothing too big. You need your rest."
"Thanks." Cora said as he got out of the car and walked around to help her out. He put his arm around her waist and they headed up to the house. He opened the door and they walked in.
"Surprise and welcome home!"
Cora smiled and hugged Sienna. "This is amazing. Thank you."
Sienna smiled. "Were you surprised?"
Cora nodded. "Of course I was."
"Good." Sienna smiled. "I was worried you wouldn't be."
"Welcome home." John said hugging her. "You knew didn't you?" He whispered to her where Sienna couldn't hear.
"I always do." Cora said smiling. "But I'll never tell her."
He nodded. "So, I have an amazing cake for you." Sienna said.
Cora smiled. "Would it be okay if I go sit down? I'm still feeling a little out of it."
"Oh I'm sorry. Of course, sit down." Sienna said to her. She helped Cora over to the couch. "Phil can be your happy servant while we're here."
"Of course I will be." He said with a smile. "So, what can your happy servant do?"
"I'm hungry." She said.
"You sit tight, I'll get you some food." She nodded as he walked over.
Sienna sat down by her. "So, how are you feeling?"
"Better. Tired but better. He didn't leave my side the whole time when I was in the hospital."
"That's great." Sienna smiled. "He loves you and there is nothing he wouldn't do for you."
Cora nodded. "I know. Sometimes I have to ask myself what I did to deserve him."
"You don't have to do anything." Sienna replied. "You deserve the best."
Cora smiled and nodded. "He is the best."
"Yes, he is." Sienna smiled and looked at John. "We both have really good guys. Now you should enjoy this party and then you should rest."
Cora hugged Sienna. "Thank you. For being such a great sister and being so amazing. I love you."
"I love you too, sis." Sienna smiled. "And you have always been there for me and you're an amazing sister. Without you, I wouldn't have my husband or my little peanut. This is the least I could do."
Cora smiled as Phil walked back over with her food. He handed her the plate and kissed her on the temple as he sat down beside her. "There you go beautiful. Everything you like." He said to her.
Sienna smiled. "I'm going to check on Gage." She got up and headed upstairs to where the baby was.
Phil looked at Cora. "I hope this isn't too much. I really couldn't reign her in on it."
Cora smiled. "It's okay. This is the perfect party."
"I'm glad you are enjoying. Sienna does like to go all out."
"She does." Cora laughed. "But you gotta love her. And this is nice. But I'm looking forward to spending time alone with you."
He smiled. "Then why don't we stay for a few more minutes and politely ask everyone to leave."
"Now that sounds like a great idea." She smiled and kissed him. "Get rid of these people."
Phil smiled. "I can do that." He stood up from his seat. "Can I have everyone's attention please? While Cora and I appreciate you all being here. I'm afraid she's tired and would like to rest. So if you could all leave that would be great."
Everyone filed out of the house leaving the two of them alone. He looked at her. "So, alone at last." He smiled. "Now, what does my baby want to do?"
"I was thinking of letting you have you way with me."
He smiled and kissed her. "Now, that is something I can definitely do." He said as he picked her up. "Let's head to the bedroom and I can really take advantage of you."
She laughed and they headed up to the bedroom and spent the rest of the night being together.
"I'm so exhausted." Sienna said when she and John arrived home. "This has been a long day."
"I bet so." He laughed as he put the baby down. "You did plan a great party though."
"Do you think she was actually surprised?"
"Of course she was." He smiled. "You did an excellent job and she was definitely surprised."
"Good." Sienna smiled. "I would hate to think she wasn't. I tried so hard."
"And you did great baby."
"Thanks." She smiled. "Well, since our little one is asleep, how about we head to the bedroom and enjoy some time together?" He nodded and they headed to their bedroom.
Cora laid in Phil's arms a little later and smiled at him. "That was definitely what I needed." She said to him.
"Well, I'm glad I was the medicine you needed." He smiled.
"You're all I could ever need and I don't know what I did to deserve you sometimes. But I'm glad for whatever it was. Because I love you so much and I can't even think about what my life would be like right now without you in it."
H smiled and kissed her. "I love you more than anything."
"And soon, we'll be married like we planned."
"I can't wait." He replied. "I can't wait until we are married and spending our life together." She smiled and kissed him. "You know, we should start planning this thing."
"I have a few ideas."
"Then tell me." He smiled. "I want you to have the wedding of your dreams."
"We can talk about them tomorrow." She said before kissing him. "Tonight is just about us." He smiled and kissed her again. He couldn't wait for the rest of their lives.
